Tamio Yasumi (Mansai Nomura) works as a subsection chief for a company. He has not received a promotion in a long time. Other members including Makoto Kitagawa (Teruyuki Kagawa) as the manager of the same department work very hard. One day, Banji Harashima (Mitsuhiro Oikawa) is assigned to work as the new vice manager in the department. A secret exists within the company.
