Genesis77 May 05 2019 9:45 pm I was having a discussion about Japanese actors that I love, and I always recall Daisuke...but what has he been doing lately. I have not seen any dramas or films uploaded on youtube, lineTV or any other platform for him. It would be nice if the person who has control of his Asianwiki page would up date his fans...on any new works. I checked Wikipedia and found nothing new...and there is nothing popping up when I search the internet.

I'm sure Daisuke has not retired from the industry...if he has and I missed the announcement would someone kindly respond to my message here.

I believe Daisuke is a fantastic actor and still believe he can crossover and work any genre of film if given the chance....I hope he wasn't typecasted due to the Takumi-kun Series and this is why he has not been seen in the drama world...if he has new stage plays and productions out, again I would welcome the news.

Daisuke, if you see this comment, please know that you have American fans out here who love your work and abilities and would like to see more from you....best wishes always.

I love anime and I'm going to look up the musical on Prince of Tennis. I hope my dream comes true and the first to do is to learn Japanese. I mainly want to do acting on manga that hasn't been turned into a show or hasn't been released in English dub. The country I want to go to the most is Japan and I'll be able to achieve that dream when I graduate from high school and college. I'm eighteen, so I'm still young and very determined.

Dawn May 12 2014 3:31 pm So, I was seriously wondering who the person is that maintains this page. The reason being is because, Dai-chan's acting credits need to be seriously updated....I'd do it if the page was open to be updated....and I would seriously update this photo to one of his more attractive and recent photos.

That being said, I love, love, love this actor. I really wish his films/stage plays, etc were available for release in America. There are fans in the United States that do enjoy foreign culture and entertainment. A big reason for my interest in not only Japanese culture, movies, food was because I watched this talented actor in the movie Hananoi and was like....omgoodness, what us he saying....and from that I wanted to know what all citizen from Japan and other asian countries where saying....so I've been actively learning Japanese, South Korean, Thai for the past year and have shown great ability.

It's my hope to travel to Japan in the coming year.....but until then, please whomever the updater is of Dai-chan's page is, please do some updating....and add a new photo for his many fans that love him so much. Continued success to you Mr. Watanabe Daisuke from your American Fan!!!!!

He is so smooth in acting that I forget that he's an actor and this is just a movie not reality!! I wish him the best of luck in his career, also in his life.. I kinda hope that there will be more Takumi-kun movies because 5 aren't enough.. I want this series to be extended to 100 movies maybe more~ Fighting oppa!! Jinjja saranghae <3

Genesis Oct 14 2013 9:14 am You probably didn't know you had American fans....I am absolutely love you. I am amazed each time I watch you in a movie or in stage play. I first saw you in Hanaoni. It's probably not your most recognized film, but it made me want to see you in other works. Of course that lead me to the Takumi series, and I laughed, I cried and cheered the characters on in that. It was a very heart-warming series, and you and the rest of the cast did a wonderful job.

I really hope to see you transcend the Japanese entertainment industry in film and hit the big screen very, very, very soon. I hope to see you in many more television dramas and movies. Hopefully, your works will be released on DVD for fans like myself all around the world. Being in America, we hardly get Japanese television shows, dramas, and/or movies released on the small or big screen here, and we seldom find them for purchase in our mainstream entertainment stores. It's my hope that changes soon.

I really hope your new movies "Our Kogen Hotel" will be released on DVD for American fans, as there is no release for it in theatres here. That being said, I wish you many blessings and success in your career and life.....fighting, Watanabe!!
