Ending millions of years of humans eating animal meat, BF now dominates the genetically engineered cultured meat market. There are people inside BF and outsiders who begin to have doubts about the path taken by BF CEO Yun Ja-Yu (Han Hyo-Joo). Yun Ja-Yu founded BF with On San (Lee Mu-Saeng), who has a Ph.D. in physiology.

Meanwhile, after graduation from the Naval Academy, Woo Chae-Woon (Ju Ji-Hoon) served in army, but he now works as a bodyguard.

So I wouldn't hold my breath for a season two for this one. I did like the drama though the two leads have both made far superior dramas over the past two decades. Yet it was quite new and topical and it kept my interest for that alone.

If Captain Woo and Jayu are still alive and the story of the villains end, then one season is enough for me. Because if there is season 2 what will the story be? Maybe there are new villains and the story of future BF I estimate. Let's see if there will be season 2.

You get hacked with ransomware yet you are still vulnerable to being hacked again??? With All that tech??????

I get that this is a drama trope (bad guys always steps ahead of the protagonist until the very end when the protagonist "triumphs") but, come on now! What a waste of all that advanced tech feature.

Rider May 18 2024 10:26 am First episode started slow - bit confusing - so I put it on hold. Then a week later in the news, 2 states in the United States banned "cultured meat" to protect farmers. How relevant. So I binged over a rainy weekend - and I was not disappointed - a well done, slow building, mystery of politics, business, greed, and sci-fi.

The Kdramas have a knack for producing imaginative sci-fi dealing with timely issues of the day. Space Sweepers about space junk, The Silent Sea about the survival of the human race, Memories of the Alhambra about virtual game violence.

Looking forward to a Blood Free Season 2. I want to see where the story evolves.

I'm confuse af but I still enjoy it May 09 2024 10:46 pm It's all good until the last episode confuse the hell out of me. It's like watching "Grid" all over again, the storyline is so exciting and it keeps getting better and better each episode so your expectation is high, but it all crumbles down on the last episode. Not a single soul can understand the ending. As expected from the same writer though.. I really want to have a one-on-one meeting with him/her to understand their mind, LOL. What I'm trying to say is it would be better to have a less complicated conclusion to wrap up this drama.

Anyway, I'm going to miss Han Hyojoo and Ju Jihoon's chemistry. The tension between them throughout the drama is top notch. I hope they'll have another project together again in the future. A melodrama perhaps? :')

But I really disappointed with the last episode, kinda feeling too sudden and rush, not giving much explanation and the open ending is just... I dont know if this series will continue to season 2, but still I'm not satisft with this series, considering they have two powerful main leads (HYJ and JJH), they act very well and give life to this series, but the rest is less enjoyable.

My personal rate will be 6/10.

I am always left behind following YJY's train of thoughts.(i am an average joe kind of person). When she said things such as how things will pan out, i didnt get it till it really takes place. And i would go "...wow she is right after all..." They set her character as being consistent throughout the series. She got the gumption,wont hesitate to take on seemingly huge risks but actually those were well-measured risks. Always ahead of the curve, once she made up her minds on something, she sticks with the plan. She didnt know yet till several ep later, who are her enemies so she is working on it. She set the sequence of events which make her enemies scramble and show their true faces. She could concoct that plan to voice phising that traitor lawyer's voice. That was one nasty plan. And she is highly intelligent, her face is the face of a highly intelligent person. Her is the opposite of dumb face.lol. A brave person, soft spoken, highly educated talking, but not trying to look or to sound educated, she doesnt need to proof herself before others, so she talks in plain language. effective and efficient. Not pompous style. Her voice she keeps it at certain level when she talks publicly or during business meetings. Never seen her smiles in front of others, when she grab the phone we are expecting a big leap which "shake everyone off", etc., etc. I could talk two paragraphs more about her. My point is, Yun Ja-Yu character is seriously well-prepared. They /the creators spent hours of meeting creating her, i think. They made her like that. I remember Cheong Song Yi from My Love from The star. That one is about the same in-depth character build up, in comparison with Yun Ja yu. But YJY's is way more comprehensive. So having said all that, I want to thank all parties responsible for Yun Ja Yu character creation. Thank you so much... When she asked the AI voice yeongshil to say the sms from woo chae won that he was leaving (to Dubai) using his voice, did this imply that she kind of wanted to hear his voice? so subtle. lol.

They take their bodyguard duties so seriously that you’d think she was a president or something. That being said since Jayu’s such an important target, I hope she helps Hoseung like she did with Chaewoon so she could have 2 super soldiers protecting her

I think this is gonna be a HIT just like the other Disney+ shows, like Moving and A Shop For Killers, those where really good. I can't wait to see this week's episodes on the weekend. :) I'm a little sad, that it's not gonna be a romance between the ML and FL, I mean they've such a good chemistry. :( But this show is not about that.

country bumpkin Apr 18 2024 2:08 am ....this is the latter comment after the below one. the reason of that staring at each other for a split sec scene is that FL needs to re-establish the boss and worker code of conduct. Coz ML first time met FL gave the impression to FL that ML is calling the shot. by "marching down toward her and gave that boss-like talk saying she should stay away from the window. FL was taken aback a bit by showing she moved her hands protecting herself. She lost her ground here, and gave that weakling impression to ML. And of course, later on, she did re-establish her authority upon ML by staring at each other contest later on (in comment below). So having said all that, I want PD nim to know that we viewers truly apreciate these hard-to-create scenes. We are fully aware of the existency of these scenes, these meticulously thought scenes. Keep up the good works...!

country bumpkin Apr 18 2024 1:46 am the scene in her hotel suite where FL about ready to leave and she looked at the ML and they look at each other for a split sec. For me my take on this is, She said through her eyes , " who you just have contacted with just now (he just used his phone) and wtf are you lookin at,...lower your eyes..., and then he lower his eyes he acknowledged that she is the boss and he is working for her. I dunnoabout this scene to you all viewers, but i giggled watching the scene. Too much into it i guess. lol. Or maybe you need to be an oriental person to get the grip of this non verbal (lowering the eyes, the meaning of it).

The depiction of her handling the crises is well prepared by the writing team and Fl. I mean look at her during that directors meeting discussing the hacking. She stood quietly but she was all ear listening to all her lieutenants doing the talk. She even asked them what do they think she should do. She already lined up her options,but still scooping for inputs. For teens viewers that scene probably something they could learn a bit about corporate decision makers dynamics. When she started talking all listened up and follow the order. I mean, even I said "yes maam.." because Fl character is believeable. Awesome HHJ. Her demeanour is perfectly crafted. Frowning, deep in thoughts, talking plainly and quietly even scary. Michael Corleone did that when he realized someone deep in the family has betrayed him after the assasination attempt on him and his wife. Not saying HHJ followed Michael C.'s demeanor but maybe that was how big shots reacted in similar situation. Anyway HHJ ssi...you go girl....! Anyway arent they the rather proper age group for roles in top executive position?
