Lee Kyeong-Do (Park Seo-Jun) works as a reporter in the entertainment department at the Dongwoon Daily News. He is an ordinary office worker who is neither rude or unusual. When he was 20, he met Seo Ji-Woo for the first time at a theater group club and they fell in love. She was his first love, but they ended up breaking up. When Lee Kyeong-Do was 28, they dated again, but broke up for the second time.

Now, Lee Kyeong-Do works on a story involving Seo Ji-Woo's husband in a scandal. Due to the story, he reunites with Seo Ji-Woo after several years.

Notes

Panseokah Mar 08 2026 4:49 pm I’ve tried really hard to figure out why this was so mid. I think the FL was hard to like, especially when she treated the ML so poorly.

But then I thought, PSJ was not attractive in this drama. His whole look, from clothing to hairstyling to color. It was not fun to look at.

Papago Feb 15 2026 2:21 pm What really annoys me about this drama is the wardrobe choice for the ML and FL. The fashion feels like it’s stuck a decade ago. The ML keeps wearing those oversized outfits like he raided someone’s old closet, and the FL’s dresses are just as outdated. And don’t even get me started on the ML’s hairstyle — it never changes! Making him look even old! Isn’t she supposed to be in the fashion industry? I was expecting something stylish and elegant, like the looks in Queen of Tears, not this fashion disaster.

Mike Feb 10 2026 3:46 am I found the first episode confusing but the subsequent episodes cleared that up. However a person who watched this show with me became very annoyed at all the flashbacks to the past. Annoyed to the extent they stopped watching. It was hard at times to decide whether this next scene was a continuation of the same timeline or a different one so I found the flashbacks annoying as well.

There are only 12 episodes and the flashbacks are being used as fillers to pad the story out. All in all, slow but interesting.

They’re both active & attractive (not that it makes any difference) & they’re very happy together. They have most of the same interests & enough that aren’t, making them both also independent too. Some K-drama fans need to grow up. It’s not like anyone’s mandating you to do the same thing.

Why even bother telling about their college friends in a form of flashback, when in the present they only meet to celebrate something or throwing a party ? FL's brother in law dare to slowly drugs his wife so he can be her guardian and sell the company, but when his plan failed he only set an affair rumour to kick FL from the company ? ML's story about buying a suit to pay tribute is out of this world. Should've just focus on the romance between FL and ML, cut all the unnecessary scene, reduce the episode. No matter how slow the pace is, i think it would be a better series as a whole.

This is fresh new kind of Chaebol Lead star. I am rewatching it again and now I understand it more and really makes me to watch it till the end. Love it! I want more drama For Jian please!

I havent been able to watch anything without skipping and dropping episodes until this. To each their own but i truly loved everything, from the angst to the flashbacks to the friendships. I wanted more lovey dovey scenes at the end and maybe a proposal from gyeongdo but ill take the post-credits scene, thank you PSJ and specially won ji an! please more romance dramas from you<3

The narrative captures a powerful truth: in our lives, we may have one great love that shapes us deeply, whether we end up with that person or not. I like that the pacing is slow, that’s exactly what makes it real. There are no rushed moments and every flashback feels earned. Park Seo-joon is amazing as always, he never disappoints! And not to mention soooooo handsome. The female lead is beautiful and great too. I’m giving it a perfect score.

This one was a lot like my first - it took a while to catch on what was happening, but once I did, I was hooked. The sharpness between the ML and FL becomes more understandable as each episode reveals more background and answers more questions. The corporate sub-plot is pretty predictable, but serves as a good background to the lovers as they work it out ... once again. Surely Tomorrow!

The pacing is just perfect and really enjoy the nuanced and intricate storytelling! Love how it slowly reveals each puzzle piece going between present and past. Every question eventually gets answered if you’re patient enough and that’s what makes it so satisfying!

Mac Dec 30 2025 1:47 pm Christina, I’m with you. The plot may feel excruciatingly slow for some but the real time, nostalgic effect, revealing the arc of the story is very effective. The cinematography is beautiful. The way it creates distance, coldness may be prosaic to some but it foreshadows to the viewer, the time and the space required to close this emptiness the lovers experience. This is going to take take, so viewers accept it and settle into the pace of you really want to understand the nuance of the couple’s journey.

The cinematography just felt flat and I kept waiting for the storyline to get interesting. I don’t know if the FL was a bad actress, but her teasing personality felt awkward. Maybe the issue was the script? Idk….Looking forward to his next project. Dont think I’ll go back to this one.

Maybe the story too slow and the dialogue is not interesting. I love PSJ so much but he is not look stunning in here. I dont understand its because the character of ML or the chemistry is 0. The FL acting also weird. I’m really sorry for saying this. But I still expect the next episode would be better and not dragging.

RAKW Dec 23 2025 9:39 pm User Im Suna clearly clarfies the points of why I am disappointed with this drama. PSJ has been a favorite actor of mine for a long time and he is wasted in this drama. The FL is trying her best but she would do better as a third lead or as a vicious villian, but not in this type of story. At the end of episode #5 and after scrolling through most of it, I can't bring myself to watch #6 or any others except maybe the last episode to bring closure. I look with great anticipation to PSJ's next project.

Im Suna Dec 22 2025 5:38 am Episodes 1 & 2 were good, but episodes 3–6 became kind of boring. There’s a lot of unnecessary dialogue and filler scenes, especially revisiting past breakups, which didn’t feel needed. I wish they’d move on and focus more on the present. It got so slow that the spark between them gradually faded. The female lead’s acting isn’t very strong, and even PSJ started to feel dull. It’s too slow for a K-drama. It’s a shame because many people were excited because of PSJ, but the story doesn’t really suit him, and the female lead’s acting isn’t at the level you’d expect for his co-star. I ended up skipping and fast-forwarding, it felt like a waste of time.
