Ha-Ni (Cho Bo-Ah) is a mermaid. For a man she is in love with, she becomes a human being and begins to live at the Ingyeo House. The house is for people who are preparing to land their first jobs. To permanently become a human being, Ha-Ni must make the man love her within 100 days.

First of all in the end there is a twist and that makes a viewer interested to watch more, it has a great plot but what is discouraging is that their rating are lower than 3 percent.But all I can say is I love it. It would be great if there is a season 2 because there are still expectations that each viewers would like to see. If this drama hits 8 percent and above ,the crew of this drama will have the chance to have is season 2 or extend the episodes because for a drama to have a season 2 ( if possible) it needs to reach its desired rating.

I had a feeling that Hani would be with Hyungmyun, but I convinced myself and hoping 'who knows... she might be with Shikyung' and that hope made me watch it until the end... but when it comes to ep 10 and I can guess it will be HM I stop watching it immediately..

like it's not fair... HM got to see Hani everyday so he knew about her secret and can help her... while Shikyung couldnt see Hani everyday... If Shikyung were put in the same situation, I am sure he would do the same....

Also I dont see 'love' between HM and Hani... it just suddenly popped out around 7th or so ep... I thought it's not love... It's just bcos you are close as a housemate and ofc u will help her..

I dont even remember HM' name properly is it hyunmun? Or myunghun... Anyway I can tell that JinAh is def a bitch from the very beginning just by looking at her face...

CKW Nov 11 2015 9:05 am EXACTLY! Thank you. People are spazzing about a superficial love here. Hani was never in love with Shikyung (even though he was) because she only saw his looks. Not him. Whereas with HyungMyung, Hani knew him. And in the end fell for him. Even though the couple had a rushed development as a "couple", but one can clearly see that they developed with each other throughout the series even if she didn't see him as someone she could love during that time. It is more realistic than the superficial "love" Hani had for Shikyung. But I'm not denying, he really did love her. Just their "love" was doomed from the start. People complaining about it should've expected it. I mean it's a kdrama, the 1st male lead always gets the main guy.

Jun Aug 22 2015 5:18 pm I knew that the fairytale says the mermaid will never be with her prince and the prince ends up with the witch instead. However, I still wish for Ha Ni and Shi Kyung couple. Yes, it is unexpected ending, yet disappointing. After having a new love, it isn't impossible to have other new loves, so true love thingy depicted here is just hilarious. The one that makes you sacrifice, even he is one step late, can't he be the true love after he had made such efforts? Nice drama anyway, even I dislike the story quality.

Pali Jul 17 2015 7:19 pm Oh my god did why does everybody like Ha Ni and Shi Kyung? But I get it, it's actually the low rating's fault. Because they reduced the amount of chapters to ten and they had to finish it fast. If you see it that way, we had like 6 episodes to get into Hani and Hyung Myung better (even doe I've realized they'd be together fast because it looked more real to me than the forced first couple) but we didn't have the oportunity because they had to short the story. Never the less, you can see that Hani was in love of the idea she had about Shi Kyung, and also just by his looks, when she gets to meet him she's hyped because of the idea she has of him and the directors extended that waaay to much when it was obvious that she felt something for Hyung Myung, which was more real because she knew him little by little instead of forcing her like she did to Shi Kyung. Like I said its the lower rating's fault, because if they'd have the 14 episodes they would have developed more the love that we got to see like for a flashforward of five minutes after the accident in the last episode...

John Jun 23 2015 1:19 am Funny show, not great but not bad either. It's a fun watch with lots of pop culture reference and interesting characters. The main pairing started off a little too late, the producers wasted most episodes on superfluous things instead of getting to the point. The ending was abrupt and rushed. It's unlikely they'll make a sequel so the ending message was rather vain.

The acting were decent, never knew Jo BoAh could act decent (she was terrible in Shut up flower boy band!), but here she was feisty and unexpectedly good. Kim Seulgi and Kim Minkyo's roles were very fun to watch as well. And BoAh x Joo Wan interactions were fun and cute. The parallel leads were boring dimensionless characters. Park Ji Soo's role could've easily been one of the best, but she was standstill in a shallow position who couldn't make up her mind, dumb character. Song Jaerim didn't add anything new to his role either, it could've been played by anyone because his acting has no essence. His and BoAh's interactions were yawn worthy (which was basically just BoAh blabbering), even Minkyo and BoAh were more fun to watch.

Haniya May 30 2015 6:38 am @Renee, exactly how I felt. Shikyung x HaNi aren't sparkling in my eyes and they didn't look good together either. They really had no love between them IMO Shikyung was intrigued about the girl who saved him and started to like Hani, and Hani had a whimsical crush on him, that's it. Nothing as strong as love. Whereas Hyunmyung x HaNi had potential to be really great (atleast their feelings seemed stronger than the former, watch episode 9/10), if the directors had focused on them earlier. Like there were subtle scenes between them, but the latest that the directors/producers really hinted them as a couple was like episode 6/7, which was a little too late IMO but better late than never anyway.

I also agree with @Truthsavant as well. The "disappear in 100 days, or find real love" thing was a too ambiguous to really make a concrete comment like "Shikyung was her real love, that's why she disappeared" because really it just said "find", not "stay" or "make babies" with them. It's just common sense.

Waiting for S2 (if there is one) to answer all the questions and some HyunmyungxHani scenes because really I'm not satisfied as a shipper (like really ONE KISS IS ALL WE GOT T__T) lol

I just got no feels for it. :/ I read that a lot have said that they were rooting for the Ha-Ni x Shi-Kyung couple, but personally, I want the Ha-Ni x Hyun-Myeong. And Jin-A too. She deserves her own happiness. She gave up her love for Hyun-Myung for a better opportunity, that should not be wasted. I want Jin-A to end up with Shi-Kyung (not yet done with the drama, still in episode 8).

AND THE PREVIOUS EPISODES GAVE ME A LOT OF FEELS FOR BIG AND HYE-YOUNG! I'm shipping them together. <3 I love the chemistry between those actors, cute and light-hearted. Nam Joo-Hyuk is a real cutie and I think I will start to follow Kim Seul-Gi now. : )

So it doesn't matter whom she ended up with, she was meant to disappear either way. And I believe HyunMyung was her true love, because if she did love SK she would not run back to HM like she did. And SK didn't look like he his feelings for HaNi were that strong. On the otherhand HMxHani looked like those typical K-drama couples, who were just friends and fell in love with each other without realising. Use your common sense instead of just having a biased view.

Anyway AWESOME drama. It made me crack up from 1st episode with so many popular culture references. Bo-Ah, honestly made me dislike her in Shut up flower boy band (the reason I was hesitant to watch this) but WOAH in this show she's damn good, very funny and pretty <3 Joowan also did very well here and his and Bo-Ah pairing really worked well for me. The supporting characters were great to watch as well with the funniest moments concerning them. The story might seem weak but it's all about entertainment here. lol

I think it's better if ha ni ends up with shi kyung. from 1 till 5 episode i hope shi kyung is her true love cause they have chemistry and falling in love each other but in the end my prediction was false. shi kyung's love is full of sincerity cause he let her go although it makes him getting hurt, but hyun myung treats ha ni well cause he knows her secret. please make ha ni ends up wih shi kyung in season 2! :)

If the story about Ha Ni's true love i think Shi Kyung is the right answer, because He love Ha Ni without knowing her identity, and in the whole ep Ha ni always talk about Shikyung and innocenly act in front of him. So it make some cute moment and chemistry between them. Thats why the ending really upset, What does Hyung Myung become Ha Ni's True Love? because he always be there if Ha Ni in problem? geum jay dee Jan 27 2015 5:12 am ....honestly, Im very disappointed in this drama. its the first kdrama that ive watch to have this kind of concept but the storyline have been wasted. it could have been explored and maximized in its full potential...ahhh what a loss!..it took me so long to realized the male lead actor and i would suggest that it could have been Song Jae-Rim. They should have realized that the chemistry between Song Jae-Rim and Jo Bo-Ah is much more convincing than the other. or perhaps even if the two didn't end up together..Jo Bo-Ah stays in love to Song Jae-Rim until she turned into bubbles and it was then that Song Jae-Rim realized she was the one, then it could have been an epic love.. eventhough, i like Jo Bo-Ah's character here and applause to her acting! if there were other characters that i would love to praise it would be the couple: Kim Seul-Gi and Nam Ju-Hyuk. this couple is simply cute, fun, romantic and uplifting to watch!!! i love them!!

SOSOSO Nov 18 2014 10:48 am BIG was adorable and the chef was cute whenever he smiled. I was baffled by the thought of the second lead and main lead. I wanted both ways. I couldn't choose. This drama gave me a headache at first but I loved it so much. It was funny to see something besides the usual dramas like rich guy falls for poor girl and causes issues, or crime scenes of nonstop injustice. A little fairy tale never hurts. Jo bo ah was a great actor. This show kept me laughing and cringing. I like it more then some typical bad boy turns good. If anything cutting it short was just stupid. Why create such a great plot in the beginning and not carry it out till the end ? Seriously people how do you not fall in love with the chefs apple butt haha i mean smile. AND if you considered this to be a kid like drama you should really start having an open mind because for a fact there were some real issues in the drama that is true in life. I'm not happy about ten freakin episodes but eh what do they care, if it ain't got high ratings shut it down and forget the people that were actually enjoying it. losers...I'm just mad

However, everytime I saw HyunMyung face, get remembering me of Chen EXO's face. That's why I support Hani and HyunMyung. But also the ending is too awkwardly. They have to make the sequel of the Hani and HyunMyung love challenge for more detail. Maybe they have to showed up ShiKyung often more.

Miaa Oct 12 2014 8:52 am Normally the first scene in the first episode when Ha Ni vanished should be the end of the drama, so there could be another season where that scene will be the ending, she had her hair cut in that scene and, i guess it was Jae Rim's hands that she was holding, so maybe there will be another 100days for her to refind her true love, because they didnt explain why she disappeared when she thought Joo Wan was her true love, if he really was she shouldnt have vanished, so it must be another season or a special since we need an explanation to this sudden end..

What if they ended it right at 10 so they could renew it and do another 10 episode season to wrap it up. An even 20. What if it was doing that well that they wanted to keep that up; but couldn't make it longer because of the next show scheduled. Anyway episode 9 and you still see that triangle, its too much to wrap up well in one episode. Here's hoping right?

Now I'm totally confused. So I think I will wait till the drama finishes airing so that I can prepare my heart to 'like' the pairing. PS: I really hope SJR is the lead though. But i know that Ha-Ni will end up with pitiful yet gentle Hyun-Mung..He deserves her :) Actually this is the best 2014 drama,, hope more people recognize this awesome drama.. Luv ya Ha-Ni! ^o^

Very refreshing set up of the drama distinguishes this tv show from the rest. The jokes and parodies make the 1 hr long episodes breeze by and seem more like 20 minutes.

I'm in the minority and ship Ha Ni with the unemployed guy. Sigh.

Also, I adore Jo Bo Ah!! She's improved her acting SO. MUCH. And I loved her character (even though she wasn't great at acting) back in Shut up Flower Boy Band.

The writers are good at inserting fun stuff like Aunt Frilla's grudge out of nowhere and that "awkward" scene. This drama could go anywhere, something like [insert vampire and/or werewolf]. It is a refreshing drama that I can definitely say it's worth watching if you habe a soul and want to laugh.

GD To The DIA Aug 30 2014 10:15 am @Maika i love this drama and hope one of the few(other then Masters Sun) i will finish after watching Fashion King aka the show. that has ruined my drama watching, I have have tried to watch Big,Full Son,Big Man, Romance town,Trot Lovers,The Heirs, That's Okay, Its Love,Gap Dong,Empress Ki, You Who Came From The Stars and most of this dramas I loved but just could not watch the last episode(You Who Came From The Stars,Full Sun, Big, Romance Town) and some just stopped they bored me to much( Trot Lovers, Big Man, That's Okay, Its Love, Empress Ki, The Heirs) and then my sister being biased to Yong Hwa made me watch Marry Him If You Dare the show just killed it is such JUNK. Maika Aug 30 2014 6:42 am I think this drama is okaaayyy.... But it actually kinda sucks. The girl is pretty and rreeeallly dumb! I get it that's the point but she is extremely selfish! She only thinks about herself and what she wants, not even about how any may be affected in her actions! If I knew a person as selfish as her in real life, we wouldn't be good friends. Finds a lost ID, just takes it without return, drowns a guy, just so she could be happy, takes a last potion, but changes her mind.. This is all for the guy and she doesn't think at all. I kinda hate the character, which kind a makes me hate the drama. Also that butt part with the guy, wasn't. Even. Funny. It was horrific! And terrifying!

Sup Aug 17 2014 7:38 pm The only three things in common with Dyesebel so far are that she is a mermaid turned human, she is looking for her love and she is a princess. A lot of mermaid stories follow that pattern. Plot seems pretty different from Dyesebel though.

Krnwr Aug 16 2014 4:13 am At first I planned to watch this drama just because of Song Jae Rim in it, was kind of disappointed when people started saying that he's not the main lead :( but after watching that first cute and quirky episode I was so hooked that I'm no longer bothered with the fact that Song Jae Rim is not the main lead, though I'm still hoping he will become one eventually (please consider it writer-nim). mbdd Aug 14 2014 5:20 am on joo wan seems like a heavy smoker, especially in his teaser. just saying.. and for song jae rim, i've watched 3 dramas which he was in, like "the moon that embraces the sun", "two weeks", and "inspiring generation". he used to play as a very very bad guy. thank God he plays good in this drama. and i was laughing so hard watching his teaser. now it's time to watch the drama :)
