Furz Jul 22 2021 5:22 pm Based on various dramas I have seen, is that how Koreans eat ? They eat a real mouthful of anything. They speak while chewing their food, if not, they smack their lips while eating. They use the spoon they have already put in their mouths to get soup from the communal pot or bowl of food. Gosh, there are no serving spoons ! Table napkins are unheard of that they wipe their mouths with their fingers. Gott sei Dank, at least they, while still at the table, did not burp after gulping all that food.

As for the food, they are mouthwatering. The story, an overused theme.

The story is not dull. And the lead actress acting is the most impressive and lively!! Today is the third times watch this marathon since it's been aired many years ago.

thisISwrong Apr 15 2021 8:27 pm I can’t believe how bad this show is. I must give it to the writers that I have yet to see a worse sequel than this one. I am extremely glad that this was not the first drama I have seen with Seo Hyun-Jin because she is absolutely insufferable, obviously great acting. The despect towards Kwon Yool is astounding; still surprised how a lit major is so classless. The whole concept of eating and enjoying food gets really lost and forgotten from middle of the show. I am really curious as to why they have so much seafood though. Either way, third season is the best, the show overall pushes through some really toxic concepts, and since the food aspect gets forgotten, it becomes another flavorless mess. The writers are like the idiom of too many cooks in the kitchen.

I've seen her in other dramas and she's cool but here she really showed how a person eating can put you off... it was the constant jumping at things like food and money not caring abt whos around her... I dont know the character was really off putting other then that the main lead guy was great and the food were amazing.

Someone Aug 23 2020 1:17 am Like the first season of Lets Eat, the romantic pairings at the end felt forced rather than natural. Honestly, Koo Dae Young's chemistry with the lead female is much better as frenemies than as a romantic pairing. I'm disappointed they went the same route as first season since they basically had to end the previous romantic relationship with Lee Soo Kyung.

I can understand why the writers did it. Since the two leads have the most screen time, they naturally would think that the viewers would be much more invested in their pairing than the other pairing. But the pairing just didn't make sense, it felt like the writer just invented hurdles for the Soo Ji/Sang Woo pairing. Like her sudden aversion to Sang Woo's expensive gifts or her propensity in trying to match his gifts. She never batted an eye when Dae Young helped her whether by time, money, or other expense.

I am actually disappointed that Soo Ji ended up with Dae Young. It's kind of cliche, forced, and unnecessary that the 2 lead characters always had to end up with each other even if they don't need to. Sang Woo and Soo Ji could have easily developed their characters and have their personalities meet half way. Their chemistry is way better and the beginning of their relationship is more romantic and fun to watch.

Also why is Lee Jeom Yi not in the intro? She is a major character in the story.

Kim Ji-Young actually stole the show for me and Kim Hee-Won was a surprise. I actually thought he looked handsome. It was nice to see him in a different role, not just the bad guy.

Lucy Feb 13 2018 3:26 am I just finished Let's Eat, and hope Lets Eat 2 either gives the 5 minute food commercials so others can run to the bathroom, or check their email, etc, as I did, or cuts down on the length of them. I'm seriously considering NOT watching Let's Eat 2 or 3. I don't mind the information pertaining to the food itself, but the smacking, slurping, and gorging started to get on my nerves. Starting the series, I'd get hungry watching and go fix something to eat. By the 3rd episode, I'd eat BEFORE watching, which didn't help since it was kind of like pigging out on Thankgiving, then getting sick from the heavy smell of food in the air or just looking at the leftovers sitting out in the kitchen. If the average citizen in the States went out to a restaurant and ordered the whole meal(s) shown in the drama, the check would be approximately $250 for a party of four. Are the meals shown average meals for average South Korean citizens? Lengthy commercials having a story attached is a concept I'm not quite sure I like. So far, the story hasn't been worth sitting through 16 episodes of commercials. It, unlike the food, was without substance.

ms.tumbler May 30 2017 11:29 am I prefer the storyline in Let's Eat 1, as well as the characters. With Let's Eat 1, you can make the story until 5 seasons or more, because it's really daily life, and the characters are unique yet adorable. In season 2... the chemistry is not as good as season 1, especially side characters :( I miss Barassi, Kyung mi's family, attorney Kim and Oh too.

I watched them in reversed order yet season 2 gave me such impression that is not easy to forget. It was so interesting and giving more LOL moments. Especially when they showed behind the scene of the kissing scene :D However, I think Dae Young oppa looked more handsome in season 1 :p

cristina Jul 13 2015 2:22 pm I want to say that this season was better than the first, but I honestly don't think I can pick a favorite. I thought the cast from both series were really funny, I loved both of the female leads, and I thought both couples had really good chemistry. I enjoyed the first season so much because it was really refreshing and fun to watch, and that's exactly how I felt watching this season as well. The only thing I really have to compare from the two seasons is that I think Yoon Doojoon's acting was much more developed in this season, and that the theme song was better in the first. All in all, I think they were both really great dramas! They're both my favorite dramas.

Ruki Jul 06 2015 4:54 pm I did go through with the second season for the sake of the first season. I probably wouldn't watch it till the end if I never saw the first one. It's not bad, it's just mediocre. There wasn't any particular story to talk about. Some funny scenes here and there. The food scenes were just there, like fillers. No memorable side characters. To my surprise, Goo Dae Young was my main problem because unlike the first season he felt more like Doojoon himself than the character (there are also traits of Doojoon himself in season 1 but I could still see him as the character Goo Dae Young). Thanks to my bias with Doojoon I've watched enough variety shows, interviews of Beast to know the difference. He's a naturally gifted person with a special talent for comedy but I hope he chooses another project next time so he can try something else. A villain maybe...

I wouldn't want my lovely Lee Soo Kyung to get back with Goo Dae Young if there's going to be a 3rd season. Thanks to season 2, Goo Dae Young now is a character that can fall in and out of love very easily, which makes him unfit for Lee Soo Kyung in my opinion. She deserves someone who can stay in love with her more than 6 months :)

Janelle Jun 30 2015 4:45 am I preferred season 1 better than season 2. The food in S1 was quite mouth- drooling and it'd make you hungry and eat along with the characters. The story plot was also interesting. I wish they'd do a plot that's similar. Goo Dae Young oppa and Lee So Kyung unni were more connected. They had this chemistry they both didn't know at first. S2 also had great food to make you just want to go to korea. Anyways, I wish they make a season 3!! I'll be looking forward to it!

They must be doing that to promote the new series. Kim Bum will be the lead actor in Hide Identity.

ani Jun 04 2015 8:52 am DooJoon broke up with Lee Soo Kyung (Season 1) when he hit hard times(getting sued); he couldn't take care of himself so he did not want anyone else to suffer with him. He explains this in one of the earlier episodes.

Klady Jun 03 2015 11:15 am Yoon Doo-Joon did a wonderful job in helping us transition from season 1 to Season 2 and making it less painful (I so looked forward to seeing the cast of season 1 continue...but I came to love this cast, and really enjoyed the chemistry between Yoon Doo-Joon and Seoul Hyun-Jin.) I would have loved more emphasis on the development of their relationship and less time on some of the lengthy unappealing food shots...waited and waited for them to acknowledge their mutual attraction and to finally kiss! Overall, a very satisfying drama and I look forward to seeing handsome Yoon Doo-Joon again soon.

Sherry VS Jun 03 2015 10:11 am Really enjoyed both 1 & 2, but I liked Seo Hyun-jin better than the lead actress in #1. Really loved Yoo Doo-Joon both times. He is a charmer! Would love to see a nice, lengthy gag reel. The ensemble cast was perfect in both seasons. Not sure it needs 3 seasons, but it would be fun to see more FOOD PORN! Every time they ate, i got hungry, even if I had just eaten.

Assuming that people don't know anything about story writing, character or plot development just because they don't agree with you is pretentious. This place is for everyone where every opinion is as valid as the next one. You might think that your opinions are better than others because maybe you are a writer, producer or director in real life but you don't know what others do. Who knows, you might be really surprised to know what their profession is. So it's better not to assume anything about things you don't know, which wouldn't matter anyway because this is not a place where people give expert reviews.

when sang woo asks about the author of the book that recommended by soo ji, the author is Alexander Dumas and soo ji mentioned that it's also the author of "the three musketeers", which is also a drama that seo hyun jin has played before.

the way kim hee won acted as a detective also similiar to his previous drama MLFTS.

     Female lead season 1 is too mature for male lead and too skinny for a woman who love eating.   
     The story line of this season (2), the problem, and the conversation in this drama more real. 
     Season 1 so forgettable. I even forget what cuteness of female lead of season 1 did???  I don't care why dae young broke up with female lead of season 1. But I think dae young will meet  her again at the end of season 2. It's good because I am in sang woo's team.

Happy to say that it doesn't disappoint! I'm watching it with someone that didn't watch season one, so maybe that's why I'm approaching it with a clean slate. I appreciate the fresh storylines and the writers were wise to keep Dae Young's personality consistent. I'm only on episode three, but we're loving it. Thought I'd post if there are any other season one fans hesitant to watch this iteration. ENJOY! Manhi meogeo!!! ^^

Also, fans don't make the plot, the producers do and they can do what they want to try and make it fun. Try to enjoy it lol if not, noone's forcing you to watch it. (And the previous lead is not in a real relationship with Doojoon or something...calm it).

So, first of all, which idiot decided to break Soo Kyung and DaeYoung up!!???? When I found out like 10 minutes into the first episode I just felt like crying. You can't just break up something that took one season to make!???!!! Ugh, anyways, the comedy is still really good and its pretty funny so I'll continue but I definitely won't be able to watch a new romance with Dae Young and someone other than Soo Kyung Unni!

Still wish the best for Doojoon and also good luck to the new cast. Me? I'll pass this one and stick to my canon ending of Let's Eat. The ending with that happy family and a beautiful poem.

Yoon Doo Joon is naturally funny and a good actor in both actions and romantic comedies. Hwang Seung Eon is getting secondary roles in just about every drama this season
