Jang Tae-Soo (Han Suk-Kyu) is a legendary criminal profiler Korea. He was one of the first in his field and paved the way for criminal behavior analyst in the country. He has gained the absolute respect and trust within the police organization. At home, he is a single parent and raises his daughter Jang Ha-Bin (Chae Won-Bin) by himself. Jang Tae-Soo works on a murder case and realizes that his daughter is involved in the case. The discovery shakes everything in his professional beliefs and his relationship with his daughter. To protect his daughter, Jang Tae-Soo struggles to reveal the truth.

The screenplay, written by Han A-Young, won the MBC Drama Script Contest in 2021.
Ep.5, which was supposed to air Friday, October 25, 2024, will instead air Saturday October 26, 2024 due to the airing of a Korean baseball game on October 25, 2024.

Pram Nov 10 2025 5:15 am For those who said Jang Ha Bin is very stubborn & annoying. Because she is very smart (remember when her teacher told her dad she helped the male Lee soohyun behind his back? Because she knew he was financially struggling) but unfortunately she dont trust anyone especially her own dad. Her father just forced to lived with her after her mother took her own life.

I want to write more bit it would be a spoiler. When someone is very smart but also sceptical, she will also become more stubborn than others. I'm just glad slowly she can finally open her heart to her dad.

Pram Nov 10 2025 4:50 am I love psychological drama like this! It invites the viewers to analyze the situation and guess who's the real culprit. And my guess is not any different than the dad. Very recommended for those who love psychological + crime drama. I love how the good people can finally beat the psychotic manipulative trick of the perp in this drama. Must watch.

As someone who loves mystery/crime series, I find the pace way too slow, and the mostly dark background setting doesn't help, it's quite depressing. But, as you watch, you become intrigued by what is going on and want to know more. Did anyone else notice that Jang Tae Soo only wears blue long-sleeved shirts and only changes to a beige jumper in the final episode? I wish we had got some closure on how Ha Bin's younger brother died, but I assume it was an accident. Maybe he fell off a cliff while playing hide-and-seek.

Magda USA Jun 15 2025 4:57 pm Wow! ? what an incredibly great series! Great Plot! Great acting from ALL actors and actress! Yes! Kind of slow at times, but so worth watching it! I love Who Done it? Mysteries, especially British like Vera, Endeavor and many good American shows as well. But after watching this and before watching Stranger 1 and 2, South Korea is great at these shows as well! Highly recommend it!

I feel as though this could have been made into a two-and-a-half-hour movie instead of just going around in circles to complete 10 episodes, in my opinion. At any rate, Han Suk-kyu nailed his character here. I've liked him since Dr. Romantic, and he delivers here in "Doubt" once again! Hwighting!!

noi Dec 27 2024 3:52 am Habin Clearly had trauma from her brother's death. The way both her parents didn't take her to therapy and instead walking around on their toes while keeping their doubts is the biggest mistake. And what? They expect her to have normal life and friends around her age? Her mom went to therapy alone instead and left Habin dealt with her own trauma? This is soo frustrating. You guys annoyed at Habin? I'm more annoyed with her parents. If you can't bear consequence being parents, just don't be.

Anita M Brown Dec 14 2024 8:13 am Suspense, mystery, action are my fave genres and this is totally suspense. Love this drama. Not a big fan of minimal stage/sets, but just as Perfect Family, Doubt works very well. Great drama and I am hooked after the first episode. I like dramas that make me think higher and I will have to repeat the first episode and really pay attention. Doubt is the drama experience I love most.

Zephyr Nov 17 2024 12:20 pm If there is a drama or story with a perfect writing, this is the one. well written, it explain every plot hole that come is my mind and usually the last 3 episode crime series will revealed the answer one by one, but not in this one, you still doubt everything even till last episode. I think this is one of the best series in 2024.

However, she simultaneously reports to Oh Jung-Hwan of Police Violent Crimes Team 1. As such, in my opinion, Lee Eo-Jin must be suspended and transferred from the Criminal Behavioral Analysis Team and the Police Violent Crimes Team 1 due to her insubordination.

Like girl mind the business that pays you(Yes I know she is just doing her job but DAMN she's annoying) Now Gu Dae-hong is a sweetheart. Ha-bin is also pissing me off. Like girl, just let your dad help you. It's like she wants to end up in prison.I'm solely seeing this drama to the end for Han Suk-kyu and Han Suk-kyu ALONE. Everyone else in unbearable(minus the runaway gang, there acting is fine giving the small amount of screentime they recieve)

Taec Nov 15 2024 4:57 pm I have watched over 200 kdramas. This is the best. The writing and direction is top notch. I loved the character Ha-bin from start to finish. She is such a lovely and well written character. I loved how the drama focused solely on 'doubt' till the end. Really got to know everything related to doubt. I liked how the drama tried to test it's viewers in the 9th episode. I'm glad that I didn't fall for the test. I'm glad I learned to never doubt Ha bin as that was the main lesson each episode taught us. The direction was brilliant, it was not at all laggy. It was very fun and engaging to watch. Please don't listen to the people who complaint it is laggy,as it's the same people who say they hate Habin (proof that they didn't watch the drama carefully).

In this drama, the story line is interesting; Jang Tae-Soo is fulfilling his role as Jan Tae-Soo; The profiler Lee Eo-Jin is not fulfilling her role as profiler, Lee Eo-Jin is more of a detective role, she has no respect for her supervisor Jang Tae-Soo, and she thinks she is always right, arrogant. I hope Lee Eo-Jin will be suspended and transfer to be a road traffic police, or further profiler training.

Jang Ha-Bin is quite stupid!

. makes the audience dizzy and annoyed, I even forgot the heinous crimes committed by the original villain... it's a shame that this wasn't explored more deeply... please writer, make less dramas like this... with disobedient children

She went all the way to the teacher’s father to touch everything inside, i mean that is so dummy of her to do that knowing that her father is a profiler. And she should just stay put if she is not the killer.

Her pretend bravery and arrogance makes her really annoying. Add up the smug and poker face. Jeez. If it wasn't because of Han Suk-kyu, I wouldn't even bother watching till EP7.

Best crime? WTF Nov 03 2024 8:10 am The story's not bad, but some characters really mess things up.

The father-daughter duo feels way over the top, like the typical Korean drama trying too hard to make the leads look cool.

Habin’s just a regular girl, and honestly, without any plot armor, her crazy bravery would have gotten her killed by now.

And then there's Mr. Jang, who's supposed to be a pro. Seriously, he could have done so much to keep Habin from messing up the police investigation even more. He’s meant to be the best profiler, but he acts so foolishly in these situations.

My guess is the teacher killed the girl. The woman got the gang to blackmail the mom into thinking the daughter did it. The teacher keeps lying. I think the daughter is trying to get back at the gang for blackmailing the mom? I think the daughter is weird but not the killer.

I want that small child removed from that woman’s house. My goodness.

The ending of episode 4 makes you really doubt that was it all this time she was finding out why Choi Young-Min was black mailing her mom. Is it why she had to kill Song Min-A to get information....hmm makes you see her in a different light. I am hook!

After watching ep 4, I really couldn't tell who murdered who and what is actually going on because I doubt Habin, the gangster, the homeroom teacher, and the lady with the kid. Like, What Is Going On?! I literally have no clue what is going on and that's just amazing lol. I can't wait for the next ep and I regretted watching this while it's still running because the curiosity is kiIIing me hahaah
