Joon-Ki (Jang Hyuk) is a popular P.E. teacher at a girl's high school. He is married to Seo-Yeon (Sun Woo-Sun) who is expecting their first child imminently.

During swimming class, a student named Young-Eun (Jo Bo-Ah) climbs up to the highest diving platform and jumps into the swimming pool. Joon-Ki jumps into the water and saves her. Days later, Joon-Ki is leaving school on a rainy late afternoon and runs into Young-Eun who is completely drenched. Joon-Ki takes Young-Eun back into school to change clothes. They spend time together in a classroom, with Young-Eun behaving in an flirtatious manner. Soon, Joon-Ki's marriage to Seo-Yeon is threatened.

Notes

Filming began September 14, 2013 at Jijok Middle School in Daejeon, South Korea. First scene filmed involves gym teacher Joon-Ki (Jang Hyuk) staying after school, because of a sudden rain storm. At that time, a female high school student, who is wet, suddenly runs into the school.
Filming finished November 10, 2013.
Early working title was "Ddalgi Wooyoo' (literally "Strawberry Flavored Milk").
Actor Jang Hyuk previously worked with director Kim Tae-Gyun in 2001 movie "Volcano High".

Some Random Guy 2 Oct 28 2020 8:46 am Continuing here, Then there comes Story and Director of the Movie. They just play with our minds and leave everything open ended to our imaginations. Many things are open ended in this movie and at the same time it manages to point out some hidden issues of society which we as a part of society fails to notice these issues and if we do notice then we become judgemental towards all of these issues and blame other for all of the bad things happening in society.

Some Random Guy Oct 28 2020 8:33 am I just couldn't help but write something here Like I have watched Jo Bo Ah's Dramas and she's really good actress. What disturbed me was how did she pulled this psycho Role in this movie. Plus the scenes... I know they are actors and they know how to play on screen but it needs effing amount of concentration and strong mind. I mean c'mon she was only 23 when this Movie came out and I am 24 watching this movie with my hand/fist in my mouth. What mindset did she had while shooting all those scenes in movies. I can understand or if I was actor I could have took movie which had Kissing scene at max but this is something beyond. Hats off to this girl and her dedication to her passion. I can't just praise enough.

It is hard to understand why the characters do what they do. Especially when the movie ends. I cant relate every part of the plot. But still, I like Jang Hyuk :)

Violet Nov 04 2018 5:44 am I don't understand why this movie is underrated. The plot was emotional and actors were amazing especially the psycotic school girl. The teacher liked her but didn't accept that because he was too guilty towards his wife and unborn child. The movie had some cons but was really goodand better that many other overrated movies

I was just so disturbing.

So I guess this guy felt his life is so torn and suffocated that he got attracted to a psychotic school girl? I couldn't get the feel that his circumstances would warrant him that action.. At the very start, even before being trapped in the classroom, he led her away by not pushing her when she made advances, he didn't ever draw a line and made her think it was okay. How much of an irresponsible teacher was he! Then he eventually got entranced with a crazy student that it was too late to detach her. Plus what kind of wife allows her husband's student to invade their personal space, and especially when he told her the student likes him?? The wife gave so much opportunities for the girl to get closer to her husband.

Then there's the murder of the teacher, which made me rethink whether that actually happened or it was all delusional..

The fact that he cannot even say out that he didn't love her, was much disturbing as well. In fact, in the end, he probably felt that he was in love with that psychotic girl.. >_<

castlin Dec 07 2017 2:49 pm Before watching this movie.. i read some comments in different site... Then i give a GO.. first thing on my mind is it's Jang Hyuk movie.. so it will be good. Then movie started.. it become exciting..thrilling and breathtaking. Infairness to Jo Bo Ah she really did an amazing job in this movie and very sexy. Story is great and cast is good.

Jan4 Mar 26 2015 12:20 am It's one of those korean movies... one of those which are basically good, but leave you behind with a very sad feeling. One of those movies where I instantly get to think that I shouldn't have watched that one... just depressing.

Beside that I watched it because of my favourite actor Jang Hyuk and although it may be his weakest role I saw so far (still great, but not as special as all the others), he doesn't disappoint. Jo Bo-ah is quite scary here, but yeah, she's a stunning beauty for sure ^^"

There was a ton of symbolism portrayed throughout the entire movie: examples- strawberry milk murder suffocation water drowning suicide pregnancy wealth doll

Since the movie keeps on skipping from one scene to another without explanation, the viewer is forced to imagine on their own whether this is an actual event or something happening in the mind of one of the main characters.

The protagonist is a male school teacher at a prestigious, all-girl middle school. His wife is pregnant with their second child. Their first child died. The baby is nearly due and his wife loves and trusts him dearly. All the while he feels like there is no room for him to catch a breath in his suffocating lifestyle as a teacher who does not make enough income to buy expensive gifts for his wife, does not have the freedom to smoke or play rugby, cannot quit his job, and has to deal with in-laws who look down on him.

He finds a way to escape his life when a female student entrances him with her innocent emotions of love and attraction for him. But in a way, he metaphorically ends up killing her cause he doesn't want to get in trouble with his job, family, friends and neighbors. In the end she  goes insane and commits suicide when he chooses his wife over her.

JR, to answer your questions:

1) They never had sex. His wife sedated her and asked the second teacher to take Young-Eun to get an abortion. The doctor then exclaimed that not only was she not pregnant but that her hymen was intact aka she was a virgin. Joon-Ki's wife then confronted Young Eun about it and she freaked out. The girl was hallucinating about it.

Also the wife was IMAGINING them having sex when she followed Joon-Ki to Young-Eun's place. I had my suspicions because she was in hysterics but was just looking up at a window.

2) It seems like the teacher's death was left to loose ends but I just figure it was all discovered after Young-Eun's death. That was sloppy writing.

3) I was wondering about this also. I think her parents are just absent alot and the woman that cooked her breakfast was taking care of her. I read a review that said int he script, the mom is dead and the dad is absent. I think the lady was just a caretaker that was soon going to leave which is really sad for Young-Eun. She was a very deeply disturbed child that needed serious help. I wish at least one of the adults (if not Joon-Ki) would have helped her get some psychological help.

1 - The sex between them was just her imagination but scene in school was real? 2 - Why no-one noticed second teacher death? 3 - And the last one, she was abandoned by her parents? Or that woman who made her a dinner was her mother? Quite complicated plot but that's a good reason to watch the movie again one day.

I'm just not contented with some scenes...Prof Ki should have called the police when their baby was kidnapped...and his co-teacher should not have returned the cutter, knowing that the girl shows signs of mental / emotional instability. It was a good movie though, and the actors did well too. ..

J Oct 06 2014 8:14 pm Dang, I didn't expect to see Jo Bo Ah playing such a role. With that cute innocent face, she portrayed a psycho obsessed in love really well, it was kinda scary how messed up this girl was as her obsession grew. Despite all that, I was actually hoping that things would work out between the two in the end, she was really pitiful. It was an interesting movie, I really enjoyed it, the hot scenes were another surprise.

Though the story is quite common but still the only thing that amazed me is how he finally realized at the end how much she meant to him. She showed him the true young love of the youth and by time her love gone insane and the bolder her obsession and the madness it grows which finally took her to take the wrong steps and lead herself to the bed of razors

Pet-Pet Jul 05 2014 11:32 pm Honestly, I really love this movie. Bo Ah-ssi played the part of a young girl obsessed with her first love perfectly. I've already watched this movie three times in the past week! I also thought that Jank Hyuk oppa did a great job of playing the man torn between doing the right thing and giving into his desires. Overall I'd rate this a 4.5/5 mostly cause I thought the ending could've been better. Either way I hope to see this pairing again with a happier ending! <3
