Lee Jae-Sang (Rain) is a lawyer at JK Law Firm, which is one of the biggest law firms in South Korea. He is an excellent lawyer, but he only cares about winning for his benefit. One day, he has a mysterious car accident and he is drawn into a parallel world. There, Lee Jae-Sang finds himself working as a prosecutor. He is strict in carrying out the law. He is married to Ra Shi-On (Lim Ji-Yeon), who loves Lee Jae-Sang and is faithful to him. In the world where Lee Jae-Sang came from, he broke up with Ra Shi-On ten years earlier and Ra Shi-On works as a detective. Lee Jae-Sang struggles to cope with his different selves.

Cook Jan 04 2025 7:02 am Sorry. I question how appropriate using torturing and murdering children is to create a good kdrama. Very poor taste. I stopped watching after about a third of this - and it's a shame, because I like the actors.

LeeLy Mar 10 2021 7:33 am Honestly, though quite a drag later on, the beginning was intriguing. I have to say this drama isn't the best, but the raw emotions of losing family or loved ones were portrayed very well in the drama. Rain's character coming to appreciate and cherish his family more and more, and then going on to lose it all when he returns to his original world was the most heart breaking thing to watch. This was what kept me watching, because I could feel those emotions very well. He depicted his character's dilemma extremely well.

Even though at first i got annoyed because the lead female bcs her adult movie back then and her looks just kinda weird, but i can't deny her acting is quite good.

saranghae Jun 06 2020 12:20 pm my fav gender is family dramas for mainstream over 100 epi these dramas usually tops the ratings averaging like 20 to 30% but im seeing more and more other different gender dramas that are being broadcasted genders that i really dont like and never watch but since there are lots of them i decided to adventure a little and started 6 of them and just like i thought this gender was not for me and dumped all of them but one in the 2nd epi the one that survived was welcome 2 life i really like the first 2 epi and the 2 leads and i was so surprised to see the lead female cz i remember her from blow breeze a drama that i enjoyed so much and got to like her this is only the 2nd time im seeing her but is not only for her that im sticking with this drama the plot is very intersting and good and the lead male is really good too first time seeing him but im very impressed and the supporting people are first class too i think i can go a long way with this drama

She always shout to show that she's happy and the shouting is like annoying. And her character is really stupid and annoying. I watch this fast forward but overall i like the story but not the best. But then I started this one, I thought it's just a simple story but everything is superb like I've never watched a Korean movie before. This is underrated. This must be a hit! I brought tissue while watching since I either laughed, get thrilled, smiled, angry, cried, and be in love. All the characters are good in playing their role. Everything in it makes me wonder how could they can come up with this kind of movie. Woah!

goong Dec 08 2019 4:38 am What if you woke up in an alternate world and you get a chance to correct your wrongdoings? Not being a fan of the fantasy genre I was hesitant to watch this but the premise was exciting enough for me to give it a shot. Many mentioned the similarity to “Family Man” with Nicolas Cage. I’m not sure if this Kdrama is an adaptation or if it’s inspired by the film. I haven’t watch the film so I can’t draw any comparison.

The first case got me hooked straight away. You got the typical evil chaebols with not a slight hint of humanity. They would use any trick in the world to cover up their evil ways. Of course they need an equally ruthless lawyer on their side. Rain was awesome as Lee Jae-sang. He switches from dramatic to adorable very effortlessly and it was fun to watch. He just keeps proving that he is one of Korea’s top leading men.

The first few episodes were very exciting since there was a lot to cover. We got Jae-sang coping with this alternate universe thing. Also his redemption from slimy lawyer to protector of the innocent. And how fun was it to see the chaebols go down. That’s always satisfying. Unfortunately, it all went downhill after that.

The cases that followed were almost identical to each other and it relied so much on the over-the-top psychotic bad guys. I mean props to the actors but there’s only so much sick demented criminals I can handle. Watch out for up-and-coming actor Shin Jae-ha. A very talented young man restricted by this one note character.

The supporting characters were pleasant enough. Their scenes were nice little break from the eye-glaring/hysterical laughter from the baddies. There was also the obligatory but unnecessary love triangle with Dong-taek (Kwak Si-yang).

Lim Ji-yeon (who was adorable in High Society) was miscast as detective Ra Si-on. I think when she was researching for her role and typed in “How to act like a tough detective?” all the stereotypes came up. I commend her for trying but her scenes were painful to watch. She would switch from her normal voice to this deep one everytime a scene required her to be tough.

If you are a fan of Rain and willing to sit through 15 episodes of over the top acting, predictable cases and unnecessary fantasy twist (I didn’t think the story needed it) then this is for you.

★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 3/10

The second lead actor is also a detective but he is more reasonable & acceptable. Trying to finish the whole episodes because of Rain & the story itself.

She was leaving the hospital cos she was attacked by the hammer killer and nearly died in that old house, remember? Somehow the two world's merged that at the last part I think.

peterh Sep 20 2019 7:29 am this show copies life on mars, but has less intelligence or common sense. the crime scenarios try to be brutal yet when resolving the case it becomes a farce. one scene where the lady was about to kill the young daughter yet the dumb police opted to take a more riskier move by shooting the legs of the table instead of the criminal. In real life she would have been shot on the spot.

Rain is incredible in this. I have not been a fan of any of his other dramas. Usually because of the writing. But the depth of his acting ability is fully displayed here. I had no idea he was this good.

Such an incredible drama. The writer keeps surprising the viewer and there are no flaws or the regular inconsistencies that one finds in pretty much every drama.

The general story is your regular corporate/political corruption crime drama scenario but the intricacy of the cases keeps the viewer totally intrigued. This drama is a perfect combination of psychology, criminal intrigue, romance, humour and warmth.

Beside her annoying face, she is playing her character awful with too much ardour but in a negative way. It was enough one episode to make me remember that annoying young actress Park Hye-soo from "My Shy Boss". Brrrrr...
