Yoon Gyeo-Rye’s (Ji Chang-Wook) life has been tough. He lived at an orphanage and also spent time in a juvenile detention center and prison. He struggles to have a normal life. Due to an incident, he begins to volunteer at a hospice. There, he works with volunteer team leader Kang Tae-Sik (Sung Dong-Il) and Nurse Seo Yeon-Joo (Sooyoung).

Drama series is inspired by the Ambulance Wish Foundation, which originally started in the Netherlands. The charity program grants wishes to terminally ill patients.

Amjaba Nov 26 2024 4:07 am So much more than I was expecting. As usual JCW shines in his role. Sung Dong-II makes this role his own. Both of these men were cast perfectly. The entire cast was well thought out and talented in their own roles. Lots of familiar faces. The story line is more than just the hospice. Lots of different levels to this drama and well worth watching.

Ji Chang Wook and Sun Dong Il carried this drama well, and the chemistry between team genie is natural like family.

Episode 14 was the highlight, Kim Ji Yul and Won Ji An are amazing actresses, very touching, I cried

everything was good until episode 15. as usual, near finale, it is draggy

director rushed it, and forced many lines to be said, it's like reading a script, too many words and they are all unnecessary as points have been made

and the flashback scene between the Team Captain and the Kkangpae Boss was too long and unnecessary

Jillibean Oct 21 2022 11:58 pm The most outstanding drama of 2022. Superb cast. I lost count of how many times I cried each episode! Ji Chang Wook even topped his performance in Healer. What I loved about this drama the most was that it reminded me of inspirational K-dramas of the past, the ones that hooked me into Korean drama viewing for the first time way back in 2006. Korea needs to get back to more inspirational dramas like this one, and far less forays into dark themes like the icky ones in Squid Game. Ratings for this gem should have been a lot higher. Come on, Korea, get back to making classics again and rewarding them with outstanding ratings.

The basic sorty is beautiful and touching, the acting was great but all the other were a nightmare. The editing ??? the transitions from one scene to another!! like WTH, the sound... were sooo Bad. I had so much expectations for this drama, but it was such a dissapointment. Was hoping for another touching drama like the amazing Dear my Friends, My Mister (one of the masterpieces) with same theme for life, family & friendships - the joys, the pains, the challenges & the fears. IYWUM failed to deliver the emotions of the terminally ill patients, their families and the struggles the care workers have to help those people and make their final wishes come true. Kudos to the actors, they did their best. It's a miss for me unfortunately.

But if you wanted something that will warm your heart, bring smile to your face, if you need to be comforted despite of what is happening in the world - this series is for you.

You will have a different view of life once you have seen this. You will dream but will be contented.

I saw a different JCW here. Sung Dong-Il as I’ve seen him in Reply 88 is always amazing, but I hate him with a villain role. Haha!

8/10 rating for me.

Could also do with less out of the idea of real box like she owes 18000 USD for a side mirror and he owes a 5000 fee for a accident. CCTV everywhere but no footage of the driving that lead to the accident and seeing the other vehicle chasing him? Some really touching scenes. Some actors and actresses loved in other series.

There are instances where the story can be light and is good for the heart. Sooyoung's acting is superb, I totally resonate with her compassionate character. Chang Wook's acting, by far, is amazing especially when the story goes back to his past.

Dwed Aug 21 2022 9:46 pm to be honest, this drama is neither exceptionally good or exceptionally bad - just like vanilla ice cream (which also means some folks will love it to death). if it weren't for the star studded cast (Ji Chang Wook, Sooyoung, Sung Dong Il) and their charismatic acting, it will be a very boilerplate heartwarming drama a la Chocolate/ Hallmark Channel with formulas we have seen several times before.

Lola Aug 14 2022 5:32 pm Loving this one! Chang WooK is an amazing actor. He can play any character and make him seem like real person. His acting is so smooth, natural and he steals every scene he is in without even trying. When he is in any scene I can't take my eyes off him. I love watching him act. Sooooo impressive. The series has started off by totally grabbing my attention. Chang WooK playing a bad boy this time is a real treat. I know his character will eventually come around and change his ways but it's fun watching Chang WooK play this guy. If Chang WooK could speak English he would easily be a superstar here in American . He is the whole package..looks, sexy, cute, and an ability to always have a chemistry with his leading ladies. I can't take my eyes off him as he steals scene after scene without even trying. I can't rave enough about this fine young actor.

He exudes talent. And his looks don't hurt either. I agree he needs more roles where he can show his true acting ability. But let's all call it like it is. There is no role this man can't handle. He has a charm to him that shines on camera and I always anticipate the next project he's in. I do agree with everyone who says it's not the actors who determine the success of a drama or movie. It's the plot and the writing.

It doesn't matter whether the series is an action thriller or a rom-com, if the stiry line isn't tight enough with enough plausible twists and turns to keep the audience engaged , even the best actor in the world is going to have a tough time. My advice to the Producers? Stop relaying on the fact that Ji Chang Wook is so good -looking that you are guaranteed to get viewers anyway, and start giving this actor some quality projects so that he can shine more brightly. This guy is an expienced actor so let him 'act'.

maar Mar 07 2022 3:07 pm I need this to be good. I'm on a draughted of good dramas with Ji Chang-Wook (the last two were not my taste). I also fell for Sooyoung while watching Run On so knowing she is also in this makes it even better. We don't know much about the plot yet but I feel in my bones that it will be good. Hope I will be able to watch it on Rakuten Viki. Can't wait!
