People with a childish state of mind now live as adults. They happen to live in a building where a murder takes place.

When she was a child, Kang Da-Jeong (Seo Hyun-Jin) stayed at an inn in Gangneung for a short time, but she considers that inn as a home of her heart. Now, she works as a hotel concierge manager. She moves to the Gugu Building. There, she gets involved in a murder case and with her neighbor Ju Young-Do (Kim Dong-Wook). He lives downstairs from her.

Ju Young-Do works as a psychiatrist. He became a psychiatrist to help make suicidal people want to live again. He is smart and looks into people's wounded heart, but he also has a wounded heart. He has never been comforted by anyone.

Chae Jun (Yoon Park) is the CEO of an investment company. One day, he suddenly appears in front of Kang Da-Jeong. He has feelings for her and expresses his feeling to her.

Ahn Ga-Yeong (Nam Gyu-Ri) is an actress. She was used by her ex-boyfriend and ex-manager. Afterwards, she became afraid to love someone.

Ciepao Jun 23 2024 4:22 am I thought this would be a melodrama type of show because of its title, but it is completely the opposite. This drama has a thriller, romance, and mystery genre, but I didn't feel much of it. The first episodes were a good thriller and mystery, but in the last episodes it is more concentrated on the romance, which will make you confused since you will ask what will happen on the "dark" side of this drama. I felt that the thriller genre wasn't given enough scenes and justice, and they just wrapped it up to end it so they could have more romance. The ending of the two leads, where they give their reason why they are their "spring," feels so forced. It is not completely bad; the mystery was good, but the ending of it was not. The couples in this show were adorable, and you could feel the pain in their past. It was somehow relatable, and seeing them comfort each other was beautiful. I give it a 5/10.

Toni Jun 25 2023 6:53 am I had to write this review after watching this drama because the main Female Lead is one of my favorite Kdrama actresses which is why I started watching this drama. I must say that my favorite character and was the most enjoyable person to watch in this series was Heo Yoo- Kyung (Park Ye-Ni). She was freaking hilarious and might I add that her English was superb. The last time I heard so much Konglishh (Korean/English) in one drama was in Venus. It was nice to not have to read any subs for like 2.3 seconds ?? anyway, drama was ok. It really dragged in almost every scene and I thought wow they will never finish this scene ? but the actresses and actors did a great job 6/10 for me

The story is mature and very well written, and the monologues are powerful, with a beautiful coherence to the whole. Good idea that this building, the 99, which brings together all these little people between the apartment with its roof terrace, the psychiatry office, the vet, and the café on the ground floor, is a joyful band that we will have fun to find.

Good idea that this building, the 99, which brings together all these little people between the apartment with its roof terrace, the psychiatry office, the vet, and the café on the ground floor, is a joyful band that we will have fun to find. Efficient implementation, fluidity in framing, well-used environments. A dive into the cracks of the characters, moving and intimate. With as an underlying question: Can we extract ourselves from the wounds of childhood?

Not such a healing drama tho but i still can enjoy the plot, a very recommended kdrama, you should watch it on netflix! XD

Jasjit May 03 2022 1:01 pm A very meaningful movie- Very relatable . Loved the actors - Kim Dong Wook and. Sea Hyun Jin they were really good and had a fantastic chemistry together. All actors were good- Yun park was good at his role - which ended with no results - he is sent Scott free. Overall loved the dialogues and the quotes were really nice. Would like to see more of the main actors together in K dramas

But I stay till the end for the main couple!

Currently finish ep 10. Can't wait to end this and hopefully it will be happy ending!

Everyone experience different things in the past so we don't need to judge them. Seo hyun jin express her feelings so good. She relay in her character that's why I really felt what she experience. All the actors done so well. The director, writer, all the staff in this series you did a great job. What a beautiful story and a talented actors. love this.

Although I wished this was a straight romcom healing drama because the murder mystery started great then it was just disconnected with the story at the end. I also wished they have more kissing scenes. Their rooftop kissing scene was so hot LOL

Yoon Park deserves to be a lead in a drama next. He is such a good actor and very handsome too.

Forsythia Oct 12 2021 2:39 pm I find this drama romantic and calming even with the suspense angle. I particularly love KDW’s character in the way that he makes you feel grounded and stable. His chemistry with SHJ is also good even in their banters, plus the script is beautifully written. That the other characters are also fun to watch is a bonus. I find myself smiling during Gayeong and Patrick’s scenes too.

Not for me. But this one, it took them 13 eps to get there, and i love it. The mystery part is also nice, they unfolded little by little, not being too obvious on early eps. Keeps me going on watching till the end because i want to know the truth.

If u like a sweet lovey dovey fast paced romance, skip this one.

Love the way the show is filmed/ produced. Acting is good. Young do became kind of lame at the end. Story feels kind of all over the place. Still a nice watch overall. Maybe 6 or 7 out of 10

It seems like two different dramas, I feel bored at the romance and just want to watch Yoon Park terrify me with his Amazing acting-he deserves an award for this role- but that's not what I'm here to say, everyone needs to stop and appreciate this filmography of this drama. I don't know who the director is but s/he nailed it. The cutaways and the pallette of the drama are so beautiful. The angle that they shoot adds to the intensity and emotions of the scenes. I mean, I usually am gushing over hot actors and moving plots, how is the filmography the most amazing bit of this drama? Quite frankly the story is gripping enough for me to suggest that a person watch this drama for the filmography alone. You might not agree but I said what I said, periodt.

Though there are some flaws in the story line. -In episode 15 when Dr. Chase had a successful operation the vice-chair was mad and wants to show him what it's like to make an enemy of her but it didn't happen that was the end of her story. The Trainer and the Vet didn't have a closure. I'm especially sad for the trainer she deserved an explination.

Wasn’t really into the love story, very ordinary and predictable, but I watched for Seo a Hyun Jin, I always follow her, she has got fatter! KDW good and given some good one-liners as the psych. No chemistry between them. Hard to handle such a beautiful mother, she was amazing. It was like 2 separate stories, but the twins mystery thriller the best part, don’t feel it was properly resolved. Waiting for a last twist.

Anyway, this drama tackled about things like trauma, abuse, and also showed how the characters healed. Cried a lot in the ending... the last episode was probably my favourite. I finished it already and would definitely recommend!! Although I agree that the first episode was not that engrossing BUT it's gonna get better and better each episode!

Started to get boring after ep 12 where they just have to have a typical "let's break up let's get back together" waste of time for 2 episodes. Towards the end felt the 2nd male leads storyline got lost and was only showcased for a a few minutes when it was more interesting...also the main leads romance got a bit cringey towards the end.

It teaches us how parent's actions influence and shape the personality of their kids and how childhood trauma is like a knife stuck in one's throat even when they grow up. The writer has given a deep psychological insight into the minds of those struggling due to traumatic experiences and how they come towards healing. The thriller part of this drama was OMG so interesting that i started to feel the romantic part boring lol. The suspense and the second lead guy story really kept me hooked until the end. In fact, i was disappointed because too many chitty chatty scenes took up much of the drama yet i wanted to see more of second lead character and his thriller story. I had to skip so many scenes to see what was going on the twins' side. I cried so much bcz the story of the twins was so painful.

Anyway, 100% worth watching.

G Aug 24 2021 9:45 am I dont care about the ratings. Obviously, people do not appreciate healing dramas because they find it "boring" but personally, I loved the concept of this drama. The message was conveyed beautifully. There's so much emphasis on seeking help when you need t. Most people with mental illness are reluctant to seek help because of the stigma and discrimination but this drama wanted to let us know that its okay. I loved the whole drama. It's more than just the romance between the main leads. Gonna miss them so much :c

Ash P Aug 19 2021 11:25 pm I love this drama. Started watching because of SHJ and KDW. This drama caught my interest as it has thriller, romance, and comedy. After watching it, I realized it has 80% of romance, 15% of comedy, and 5% of thriller. I'm enjoying it so much from ep 1 until ep 11.

But, up to ep 12, I started to hate the storyline, as it's almost the same storyline in other romance dramas. It's the "I don't want to hurt you, so we have to broke up", which then hurt both of the main characters instead. This is so typical, I watched a few good dramas before that have a good storyline follow this trend when it comes near to the end. I mean, why would the writer want them to suffer? Why can't the writer make the 2 main characters stay together and fight for each other together? The writer does this to increase the drama. It becomes almost predictable. In my opinion, it will do the drama much better outcomes if the writer makes them stay together and fight for their love together than separating them and hurting them.

It has a way of getting you hooked. Their romance and chemistry is really beautiful. I love the comic scenes, it complements the genre, healing romance drama. I definitely recommend this drama, and it deserves higher ratings!

I fell in love with all the characters for the 1st time watch it. It's funny and warm. The dialouges touch my heart. Simple but meaningful. Perfect acting from all the actors and actresses, especially seo hyun jin. The time she told her childhood story, you can look the pain in her gestures. Even the hard life of the main characters are mainstream storyline i think but the approach to it just felt different. I just love it.

really Aug 10 2021 1:43 pm This drama is incredible. The two leads are phenomenal! I was hesitant after the first three episodes, but wow am I glad I continued with this show. I have fallen in love with the characters. However, I have not fallen in love with the strange side story with Yoon Park.

Also, a great acting shout out to Oh Hyun Kyung (the mom).

For me, this is one of my high-ranking shows that I will probably rewatch. BTW, although I wanted to smack them both in ep.12, grab some tissue.

magnolia Aug 07 2021 4:19 am This drama is a must watch! The plot is so good and it keeps you interested in every episode. There is romance, suspense, and even comedy! Some scenes are so hilarious I couldn't stop laughing, while some are suspenseful to the point that I get goosebumps! Sometimes I also get teary eyed because it portrays very relatable problems and emotions. I hope it continues to be a good one until the end and I hope they get higher ratings too because the actors and producers obviously gave so much effort. Fighting!

I like the slow-paced scenes that made me never skip a single second or miss a single line of its heartwarming script. Even it's stated as a healing romance, i do still root for a happy ending <3

Jones Aug 05 2021 12:55 pm Started watching this drama bcs of seo hyunjin. I have to say that this drama's very unique in its own way without the romance/thriller blend. The cinematography is also out of the world. Though I think that this drama would still be very good without it. Nonetheless, I still like how the each character's childhood plots are interconnected within each other so eventually everything will come into a frame. One thing that I cant get over any lesser is the chemistry b/w seo hyunjin and kim dongwook. Literally like whaaatttt omg it's just so comforting seeing them two interacting. I also really liked how mature the lines were portaryed written from the script. At some point you may also find parts that you can relate a lot w the characters. Not to mention they also take a deep dive down into mental health issues! Currently finished the 10th ep, I'm genuinely hoping the audience ratings will shoot up towards the ending eps because this drama is mad underrated. Cant wait for the upcoming mondays/ tuesdays! :))

Even the older detective Ko Jin-bok got angry when the other 2 younger detectives expressed their sorry feelings towards the criminal, saying that although the late detective Jeong-beom who gave his heart to Ju Young-do used to have similar "bad" childhood, he turned out to be a very good person/cop, and not to justify the crime.

But, what's wrong about the rating? The highly ratings percent, only 3% something. Oh no, is this underrate? The drama should deserve better ratings, because so great!

G Aug 03 2021 5:56 pm I love this drama. Romance with a little bit of comedy, thriller and mystery. It gets more and more interesting every episode. The chemistry between the leads is wonderful! Their childishness and maturity at the time, the subtle flirting. The dialogues are beautiful and noteworthy. And can I just say that I sooo love Nam Gyuri's character here. She's naive, funny and charming. I know the thriller side is confusing but its the beauty of this drama. Its what sets it apart from the others. I love the uniqueness of this drama. Looking forward to the next episodes!

I mean he hallucinates, high chance of being schizo there. Buuuut, hear me, he's sooo broken. Someone need to fix him. He was never loved. That's unfair. Everyone deserved to be loved. And, maybe its just me again but, they have chemistry, more than in fact with the leading guy.

The rom/com side of it is full of laughter, mature flirting, and such a fine mix of odd and everyday characters that I can't wait for the next episode while dreading that there are only 6 episodes left. The mystery/thriller side is confusing and could have been left out and the drama would have still been very entertaining. I hope that the ratings will get higher because everyone involved in this production, especially the actors and actresses, deserve it.

Lilo Aug 02 2021 7:15 pm I love love love how these two flirts… k-Drama hardly ever had proper flirting between characters. It’s either one sided love or just too shy to say anything to each other. Remember that both of them had a fairshare of past relationship. Ahn Ga-yong character however, hahahhaa.. super annoying but at the same time just gives the drama a sense of laughter.

The 2 main lead scenes takes abt 50% amount of time of each episode (and that's why some people saying it's slow) But as for me, that is Needed for a Character-driven (not plot-driven drama) like this. Every line of script hits my heart, my mentality just on-point and softly. The script is clear, sympathetic and heartwarming. Couldn't even skip any single seconds.

It turns out though, i came to like the whole cast, plots, the cinematography and the soundtrack. Everything seems balance, beautiful and very healing to me. Hope they get higher rating for sure.

But am watching this for SEO Hyun Jin, loved so many of her films, especially Beauty Inside. This is romantic and a mystery, good mixture so far, bit slow sometimes then it surprises. Hyun Jin has got fatter but still that quirky style. Good music, strange sets look as if they might fall down. Am waiting for new episodes. Many twists.

This drama so far surpassed my expectation especially in terms of how great the camera work is. You only see that in movies usually.

The Product placement is also done very well and does not distract the viewers from the story. Well done!

For sure, this Will offer a roller coaster of emotions over a period of time.

Elle Jul 06 2021 9:03 pm Let me start off by saying I love the end scenes of this drama. They remind me of the ending of Twilight, which yes, I loved the Twilight movie series. It's the visuals for me.

Also, the cast is amazing and this drama is nothing like I expected -- which is a good thing. I always enjoy YP in these type of roles but I wasn't expecting....I'll just leave it at that.

SHJ's first mistake was that she didn't pay attention to the fact that YP's character never answered her questions. He straight up evaded them and then fed her some feel good lines, lol.

But the two episodes I've seen are top notch. I couldn't guess what was going to happen next and overall it was an exciting ride. I hope they keep it up for the rest of the drama.

I am curious to see how this will all play out. Oh and I get the feeling KDW isn't as "innocent" as he seems. Idk but the end of episode 2 seem sketchy.

Highly recommend giving this drama a watch.

Definitely better than I expected. The only thing that is distracting me is Kang Da Jeong’s ahjumma curly hair! It doesn’t suit her and makes her look so Aunty! She looked so much better in straight hair.

Based on episode 1, chae joon has antisocial personality disorder or sociopath. Its quite scary but interesting story plot. Im really lookinh forward the sec episode.
