Meanwhile, Kang Mok-Ju (Kang Han-Na) is King Lee Heon's concubine. She is greedy and hides her endless ambition for power. Prince Jesan (Choi Gwi-Hwa) is a member of royal family. He is the most powerful political enemy of King Lee Heon.

- Actor Park Sung-Hoon was first cast to play the lead male role of King Lee Heon, but he was involved in controversy after posting on December 30, 2024 an explicit image from a parody AV video of the Netflix series "Squid Game" on his Instagram Story. Following that incident, production company Studio Dragon and Park Sung-Hoon came to the decision to have him step down from his role in the drama series.
