Young-Hee (Chae Shi-Ra) lives alone at an apartment. She has separated from her pilot husband Sang-Jin (Lee Sung-Jae), because he had an affair.

Meanwhile, Jung-Hyo (Cho Bo-Ah) is pregnant, but her boyfriend wants her to have an abortion. Jung-Hyo goes to Young-Hee’s apartment and tells her she will stay there until she gives birth. Young-Hee is her boyfriend's mother.

Living together, Young-Hee and Jung-Hyo fight with each other, but also come to understand each other.

Notes

"Parting Left" takes over the MBC Saturdays 20:45 time slot previously occupied by "My Contracted Husband, Mr. Oh" and will be replaced by "Hide and Seek" on August 25, 2018.
Based on the web novel "Yibyuli Ddeonatda" written by So Jae-Won and illustrated by Sal Goo (first published from February 1, 2017 via webnovel.naver.com/webtoon/).
Jung Joon-Ho was first cast to play Sang-Jin, but dropped out due to scheduling issues. Lee Sung-Jae was then cast to play Sang-Jin.
First script reading took place March 30, 2018 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea.
Ep.13-16 did not air as originally scheduled on Saturday, June 16, 2018 due to coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Ep.13-16 will instead air on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

TW Nov 02 2022 1:33 am This drama is hard to watch and I've only seen episode where Min Soo is trying to talk Jung Hyo to get abortion. Se Young who is the mistress is like most mistresses who believes they deserves everything including her child's father who is still married to Min Soo's mother who refuses to get divorced. Se Young's mother is not any better than her daughter as per Reen's review. She is absolutely unreasonable demanding the child's father to get divorced and be with Se Young and the child. Since the mother too was a mistress, her demand is really ridiculous and stupid. I am not sure if I will be able to watch to episode 40 since every time Se Young and the mother appears, my heart starts raging!!! I really like Cho Bo Ah and Lee Jun Young. Love the casts.

Park Min Oct 31 2022 7:44 pm It doesn't utilize its 20 episodes length in a constructive way for a relationship driven drama. There's a huge dent of inconsistency in the writing, sometime it's coherent and well thought out and other times it's as if it was written by someone who just started using a keyboard. A lot of things change and progress in the background without showing or reasoning with it and we are left to accept them and fill the gaps ourselves. For example, how the characters' relationships to one another turned out in the last 2 episodes. Anyway, the drama ended up feeling incomplete in many ways.

Terry Mar 21 2021 9:44 pm I feel absolutely no sympathy for Se Young. She was friends with her lover's wife and got pregnant. But she is mad at the wife! I need it to make sense.

The son says he doesn't want to be like the dad but i don't see where he is that different. He always seems to be thinking about just himself.

The child is obviously smarter than everyone in this series. She is carrying the judgements and mistakes of all the adults and doing everything she can't to protect the adults.

X Jun 18 2019 3:03 am This drama will make you fall in love with the characters. As each character deals with their own personal dilemmas, they change bit by bit and it was worth watching the whole series because of how much the characters developed in the end. Also some would consider this as heavy drama but the playfulness and charm of Minsoo, Jung Hyo, Ah In and Nam Shik really helped balance it out. Each character displays their own personal charm and they will really grow on you as you watch the drama.

Both choose to sleep with a married man,both think the wives of the men they slept with should make way for them to be the legal wives. Both behave as if they are the victims, conveniently forgetting they are the ones who wrecked someone's home.

Su Jun 18 2018 3:23 pm How I think the drama will end: Min Soo at the last moment regrets his decision and chooses to be a father, but when Jung Hyo goes into labor she passes away due to toxemia. Young Hee throughout the show will learn how to harbor feelings again and become more loving and kinder. I feel like she would take care of the child instead of Min Soo. Young Hee finally divorces her husband and lets her husband take care of his second child and new wife.

Another plausible ending would be: Jung Hyo somehow surviving and everyone just regretting their past actions and become kinder.

Soooo maybe I'm oversensitive or too biased and blinded by my fangirl emotion...or I should stop watching this while having my period. Y Jun 17 2018 4:42 pm I think Minsoo is the most interesting character in this drama. He is a shameless asshole and I hated him so much. I just watched this drama because of Jun (and because he said KISSMEs shouldn't watch it because Minsoo is a bad guy...if he says I shouldn't watch it, I'll watch it lol) and I cried so much. Minsoo's character was so trashy I moved me to tear up. But after watching the 12 episodes I just pity him. His childhood wasn't easy. His dad had an affair and his mom is crazy and obsessed with revenge. And Minsoo was greatly affected by it. He said he took after his dad...making women pregnant lol. I just pity him because of that. Hearing his parents fight, seeing his mom going crazy...I just want to hug him. But of course that doesn't excuse his trashy character. When they went to Jeju-Island (?), he started thinking about keeping the baby I guess. The way he looked at the X-Ray and how he tried to persuade his dad to stop Junghye's dad. I was hoping for a sudden change in him and I was really happy. But noooooo he said she is the one to blame and that it's all her fault. And I was like fxxk you Minsoo I believed in ya!! But I think he just didn't know how to handle the situation. I mean who could? He is a guy who is shameless and trashy (and hella hot and talented) but he carries big scars in his heart.

I'm looking forward to his development! And I hope he will smile more often...I love his smile
