Cha Se-Eum (Lee Young-Ae) used to be a violinist, but she is now a conductor of an orchestra. She has pursued her career boldly and with passion. She is now in a position where others are envious. What others don't know is that Cha Se-Eum carries a secret. That secret will shake her life.

Meanwhile, mysterious cases take place within her orchestra. Cha Se-Eum looks into the cases and approaches the truth surrounding her.

I think this is my first time watching Lee Mu Saeng doing role as protagonist, but sometimes in the drama I can see him channeling his villain role especially in episode 9 when he finds out someone was deliberately poisoned Cha Seeum and the look on his face was scary like he is ready to ends someone's life.

Zainou Feb 13 2024 7:26 am There is a resemblance of Kim Myung Min's Beethoven Virus in Lee Young Ae's Maestra.. in terms conducting process it's a good reference point... but was hoping for something a little different.... the whole series is surrounded with incurable disease... murder... drugs... infidelity... Beethoven Virus is a better drama series in terms of appreciating music....

Jillibean Jan 22 2024 7:43 pm Finally finished it. The acting was excellent, it was the writing that tended to be repetitive and transparent in its execution. When I started the drama I had no idea it would be essentially a murder mystery ... although the identity of the killer was discernable early on. I was glad as it neared its end that there were more classical music performances, but once again, if you truly want to watch a drama about musicians who love classical music there's really only one masterpiece choice: Beethoven Virus.

(1) Lee Ai-Jin together with Cha Seerum's ex-husband (Kim Phil) killed Kim Bong-Ju,

(2) Kim Phil poisoned Cha Seerum via perfume, as he wanted Cha Seerum's money and reputation, and

(3) Runa tampered with Lee Ai-Jin's car brake.

I think in the next eps 11, Kim Phil is hospitalized, therefore, either Lee Ai-Jin or Runa injects poison into Kim Phil and Kim Phil dies.

Seems Kim Phil (Cha Seerum's husband) is eerie, maybe he and Lee Ai-Jin (Kim Phil's gf) killed Kim Bong-Ju and they framed Cha Seerum.

Hope Yoo Jeong-Jae will find out the truth and help Cha Seerum

Well acted but it's no Beethoven Virus, and that drama was a full take-your-breath-away masterpiece from beginning to end. I'll stick to it for my Saimdang, but it's just not as addictive as Beethoven Virus.

WL Dec 24 2023 8:40 am Watched eps 1-5, the storyline is really good. Lee Young-Ae and Lee Mu-Saeng are two veterans; they are versatile in their different roles of different storylines. Hope to see more of them in different dramas/storylines.

Do mysterious cases mean something like her previous drama , detective koo something. Hope its a great comeback for her, a beautiful person.
