Sunsun Dec 10 2020 4:17 pm This movie didn't satisfy me. In my opinion asian movies have a different taste from Hollywood movies. I don't know how to explain but most of the asian movies have a soul according to me. Most of Hollywood movies lost this thing/soul last years, they are like fabricated. This movie is like a Hollywood movie which is played by Korean actors. It is not a bad movie, i really liked all actors but i feel like something is missing.

Ryu Junyeol is just so good in everything he does. Doo-il is such a remarkable character. I literally cried in the scene where In Sung and Junyeol were talking on the phone near the end of the movie. My God, Insung's voice, Junyeol's eyes. It was definitely one of most unforgettable movie scenes I've ever watched.

I also loved Han's dance moves. Lol

I just wanna say that i was blown away by everything in this movie. And the cast OMG, the cast is pure gold, since we got only the best of the best. The top korean actors are in this, so yeah, this alone should be enough reason for you to watch this movie. 10/10

nalle Nov 29 2017 10:43 pm Okay, this is just one of those have to say it comments not about the movie I was checking out...but the casting director seriously had some song SUNG blues when going into this... Look at the cast:

Zo In-Sung, Jung Woo-Sung, Bae Sung-Woo, Kim Eui-Sung, Jung Sung-Mo, Ko Ah-Sung, Sung Dong-Il all in the main cast... Then two Songs and a Seung, a Seong (pronounced suhng), and a couple of Sangs just to play with my head a little... Can you imagine all of the cast members having to double check if it was them someone called? You don't usually have to listen so intently to discern when you are the one spoken of or to...

Oh, you can also see they adore JUNG-maybe the UNG sound has been underappreciated and like affirmative action/anti-discriminatory hiring they were doing it sound-based... Jung Woo Sung should almost be the lead for his name alone... Or Jung Sung Mo...Jung Eun Chae, Park Jung Min, Jung Do Won, Jung In Gi, Jung Won Joong...

Bit of a name fetishist if you ask me :)

I loved the storytelling approach kinda reminds me of the movie Wolf of Wall Street - Leonardo Di Caprio. Superb acting and excellent story. Another best from Jo In-Sung

This is wierdly good! Jul 01 2017 10:58 pm I felt like listening to someone's interesting story. It's not typical law/crime movie at all. narrated script is well written. The details are very amusing. And the feeling after watching is good. I like the main messege of the movie. Though it is said obviously but I felt convinced and not soap opera or boring.

And after watching this, i found Ryu junyeol super hot & handsome here TT

His the director and at the same time the scriptwriter. How amazing! I love how this movie conveys to us that being hungry for power and attaining it by leaving behind your principles in life will hunt you in the end.

The King is about a naive little country boy who only knew how to fight. Suddenly, he dreamt to live like a king. He started to study and worked hard to change his life. When he thought that he is already the king, he met the real king. He joined the king and didn't have to work hard to enjoy the world. This naive boy didn't realize that he was used by the king and, after a while, he was dumped. He lost his family and friend. He learns from it and commits to take revenge then become the real king. He used the king's tactic to get his revenge.....

Pfffffff sign me up. It's already broken the record at being the most viewed Korean trailer in history. This is gunna stir up some noise, get those awards and hopefully finally give Jung Woo Sung that Best Actor at the Blue Dragon Awards in 2017.
