Depicts the love lives, jealousies and desires of those that work within the Sanguiwon during the Joseon Dynasty period. The Sanguiwon are responsible for the attire worn by royalty.

Dol-Seok (Han Suk-Kyu) is the best master artisan in charge of royal attire. He views set rules as paramount to his job. Kong-Jin (Ko Soo) is a genius like designer, born with dexterity and an excellent sense. He was brought to the palace by nobleman Pan-Soo (Ma Dong-Seok) who first spotted his talent.

The King (Yoo Yeon-Seok) and Queen (Park Shin-Hye) then become embroiled in a critical case because of the royal attire made by Dol-Seok and Kong-Jin.

Anastasia Jul 09 2023 12:51 pm I watched just now and… if this wasn’t based on historical facts, then I don’t even understand why they bothered making it. Just to bum us all out? Everyone is either crazy, miserable or dead in the end. Nothing good comes of any of it. The two best characters are either executed, or spend the rest of their life a neglected virgin while some monstrous other woman probably takes over. I kept waiting for something good to happen, or for there to be meaning in it, but…. nope.

This movie is representative of those that make movies with the understanding that they are striving to create a timeless work of art. It was surreal, sublime and captivated the senses, and imagination. For those of us that appreciate clothing design it reflects how powerful clothing designed at its very best can be considered a "true work of art." This is movie production at its very finest and is reflective of production companies that create an art form that is unique and makes it difficult to duplicate or copy. A seamless mirage of thought provoking magical story telling at its finest. The movie stands alone with other great masterpieces that unfortunately are so few and far between. Thank you! 감사합니다

I specially liked the shot when Kong Jin measuring the Queen's body.....how the Queen tried to hide her feeling......and Kong Jin's eyes looking through the eyes of the Queen....but he respected her so much......gosh...I got goosebumps

Such a great cast and a great story line! As a Korean, I take pride in our beautiful traditional, but when thinking about the Joseon era we don't usually think about the fashion designers of that time. Such an amazing plot and cast! Loved it! This film will make you cry and laugh at the little witty humor.
