Plot

Song Hye-Kyo plays Jun-yeong Ju, a producer working her way in the male dominated world of drama creators. Co-star Hyun-Bin plays her mentor, who makes Joo's character's life miserable at first, but later discovers his affection toward the hard-working and passionate newcomer.

Similar to SBS' On Air, "Worlds Within......" deals with life working within a television production team.
Song Hye-Kyo performs in her first drama since the 2004 KBS2 series "Full House".
"Worlds Within......" takes over the KBS2 Mon. & Tues. 21:55 time slot previously occupied by "Matchmaker's Lover" and will be replaced by "Boys Over Flowers" on January 5, 2009.

BagMyHeartOut Mar 17 2021 5:29 pm Interesting K-drama... I like both Hyun Bin and Song Hye-Kyo but they're not meant to be. Hyun Bin's meant for Son Ye-Jin. Song Joong-Ki didn't turn out to be Song Hye-Kyo's Mr. Right but I'm sure she'll find her real Mr. Right soon.

Phantom Feb 09 2021 12:04 pm this is my now favorite KDrama. I agree this is not your typical Korean love story but I really love the chemistry of Hyun Bin and Song Hye-Kyo. (Spoiler Alert:) There is a scene from the last episode that I found really cute and felt like real. it was when Directors Joon Young and Jin-hu found out the ratings of their mini drama. Their happiness seemed sincere and it was really executed well, I had to watch that scene over and over again..Without the chemistry of the lead cast, the series would have not been bearable to watch.

I watched all of his dramas and movies from 2003 until now, and I loved all of them! I really adore him, especially in Crash Landing On You; he's very handsome and charming, and he's quite a great actor. He's talented too, since not only does he act, but he can play the piano and sing magnificently. Since this pandemic, I haven't had enough sleep, so I always continue watching all his shows so many times. I hope to meet him here in Canada (just kidding). The chemistry between him and the actress are unique and good, and I fell in love with him (just kidding, again).

Hahn Mar 28 2020 11:25 am Worlds Within occupied a special spot in my heart because of the very heartwarming love story of the leads played by Hyun Bin and Song Hye Kyo. They project raw and organic chemistry, something that I have not seen in any other couple, not even with the once famous SongSong couple. I heard it did not perform well in terms of rating, but good to know that it has international broadcasts and KBS had re-run this twice already. The story was great, but I guess the poor rating was due to the fact that Worlds Within went out of the "usual" plot of Korean dramas. It dared to just feature the ups and downs of an ordinary couple, falling in and out of love, and making it through with the help of their good friends. And perhaps, others could not relate to the life of those working in a tv production. To all those who have not seen this, give it a try! I hope and wish that Hyun Bin and Song Hye Kyo would be given another chance to work together again, and which might lead to their true-to-life reconciliation. :) :)

This drama's story is realistic.. couples are comfortable with each other. and it tackles the side on what are happening off screen the camera. it's somewhat different story, unlike the common storyline rich lead fighting to get the company something like that.

Both hyun bin and song hye kyo were in their 20’s but acted the part well... besides they become lovers after doing the drama... as they said the reat is a past history ?

Deborah Snipes Jan 20 2020 11:31 am Hyun Bin is my favorite actor from all countries. He's fantastic in anything he does, and I've watched just about every drama and film he's been in. I have worked in American television production, so I found this show very interesting and accurate in it's portrayal of how a show is put together, and the sacrifices that television crews make to make it happen. The chemistry between the leads was fantastic, as well as the supporting cast who was superb. However, the only thing I did not enjoy was how selfish I found Song Hye Kyo's character to be. Everything seemed to be about her right up through the end. Even when he was struggling with the degeneration of his eyesight, she adopted the how could you do this to me mentality and piled on to his stress. Through it all he still managed to love her. I found myself becoming angry at her for mistreating him in his hardest times. Just made me love him all the more. I know it's just a show, but still...did not enjoy her character at all. Still glad I watched it though.

But I try because I'm falling in love with Hyun Bin since Memories Of The Alhambra. I love the sory line and Hyun Bin & Song Hye Kyo have a cute chemistry. I still can't believed why this drama had a bad rating..?????

lrt Jul 22 2017 2:36 pm All the lead character did was yell and berate her boyfriend constantly while he patiently just took it all because he was so mesmerized by her. People worked through their own issues and each came to new understandings and levels of acceptance. Interesting background story and never a dull moment.

I feel that way too sometimes, and ironically there are countless hard working people behind drama productions trying to make ends meet or pressured to meet the dateline.

Bravo for the screenwriters, directors and actors for conveying your message to your audience...and all the unmentioned staffs behind drama productions that makes the drama more enjoyable and inspiring.

Jane Sep 08 2015 4:11 am Beautiful drama, make me overwhelmed about love and break up. Move around in simple conflicts and reconciliations yet expressed with deep thought through character narration. This one is my most favourite of Hyun Bin works now. And I become a fan of Song Hye Kyo, so loveable. I will definitely follow up works of this director and screenwriter.

Joy Oct 21 2014 11:36 pm Hey noba - it's either you'll love it or you'll get bored. It's not the typical "exciting" drama, the vibe is calm and natural and more realistic. There are no dramatic bad guys, just the couple working it out with their flaws and pride issues.

But personally it's my most favorite kdrama. And a not-so-thin-yet Hyun Bin is worth it, haha.
