34-year-old Park Bok-Hee (Shim Yi-Young) is married to Ki Cha-Ban (Won Ki-Jun) and they have twin son (Choi Seung-Hoon) and daughter (Kwon Ji-Min). Due to her husband's incompetence, Park Bok-Hee works hard to support her family. Nevertheless, Ki Cha-Ban has an affair and he wants a divorce. Park Bok-Hee ignores his divorce demand.

One day, Park Bok-Hee learns that she is the daughter of Ko Choong (Lee Jung-Kil) and Jo Eun-Lim (Kim Young-Ran). Ko Choong is part of a wealthy chaebol family that runs the Shinsang Group. Park Bok-Hee’s life is changed completely. Meanwhile, Ko Sang-A (Jin Ye-Sol), who is 34-years-old, has lived as the daughter of Ko Choong & Jo Eun-Lim for all of her life, but it turns out that she is not their real daughter.

Park Min Jan 27 2023 10:50 am To be clear, Shim Yi Young tried her best and it seems she was the only trying. The drama full of repulsive character like Cha Ban whose existence was painful to endure for 127 episode. I was expecting something a little better after the first 10 episodes. The writing was absolutely abysmal and there is no arguing about that. Extremely repetitive and uneventful. The big secrets are revealed and the story almost done as early as episode 70-ish, the remainder of the episodes were just random things. They made halve the character get sick after episode 70 because apparently illness = viewers engagement??

I think the most appropriate episode will be 80. The rest are wasted time. Ko Sang A can go in and out of hospital without anyone due care or monitor which to me is ridiculous.

saranghae Nov 30 2020 12:19 pm epi 99 ok good epi i think this was the climax of the drama where all the mysteries were disclosed when sanga was put on trial the prosecutor read all the indictments with extremely details which actually was the summary of epi 1 to epi 99 of this drama sort of cz it showed all the crimes that sanga committed it really showed how bad a girl she was theres nothing more to uncover so what am i gonna do with the next 20 epi but in the end of this epi sanga said she will come back for a big revenge on bukiya and si kyung but how since she is gonna be in jail for a long long time anyway im looking forward for the ending

saranghae Nov 26 2020 5:21 am epi 97 i liked this epi very much when bukiya was franctically looking for si kyung at the train st she didnt know what was going on but when he explained why he was going away she said dont run away i will be your eyes wow wow this was so warm and tender the epis are getting much better i think the writer chose to show the best epis at the end the more wicked and evil sanga gets the more i lke her she is so pretty and beautiful and SEXY dont care how bad she is whoahahahahahha yesss finally theres a bgm song running from time to time is an instrumental and i think thats an acoustic folk guitar and of course sounds like a folk song of bygone eras 60s maybe i think i heard it before but dont remember the title i wish i can find it in youtube what amazes me is that i can not find a connection between this song and the drama cz bukiya sanga si kyung are too young for those songs

This show has it all and when a TV show makes you angry at a character so much they’ve done something right. I cannot understand how this show is rated so poorly when it’s one of the best shows. It’s crazy how they’re rated lower than some teenage tv shows that really lacks production and acting skills. TV shows like Kiss Goblin being rated higher than this show makes zero sense. Perhaps it has to do with how bad everyone treats the main character or how evil that one character is makes everyone hate this show. Anyways I love this show and am currently watching episode 97.

saranghae Oct 19 2020 11:28 pm epi 70 omg omg ok this epi was good this drama is getting better by the epi so far to me si kyung mom was a totally mystery enigmatic insipid and cold that didnt talk much but in this epi she talked a lot she disclosed evrything to si kyung so that he can end relations with bukiya but to no avail cz si kyung is totally mad in love with bukiya hahaha so thats good for the plot cz its giving new meaning and as i expected bukiya is all over sanga making her suffer and cry whoahahahaha yesssss and giving her her own medicine i think many viewers are delighted with whats happening to sanga but in the last scene she said she has something big on bukiya that i have no idea but it seems theres gonna be a big counter and big twist of the plot looking forward for next epi

saranghae Oct 02 2020 3:14 am Epi 58 ok omg omg huge neutron bomb dropped in this epi the one that destroys nothing but make everybody disappear hahaha cz all the mysteries were cleared here I think this was the best epi so far cz it summed up everything from epi 1 to here so a new plot should be starting from next epi and I think It should be bukiyas big revenge on sanga I mean a back and forth but this time bukiya will be ready to to fight big only the main story is worth watching I skip all the other sub stories cz they are incredible stupid in general this drama correct itself and its becoming more and more watchable and the ratings as I expected are getting to about 6% into a more sustainable mode I hope it gets better and better

Horrible roles in this drama all have long lifes in order to cause sufferings to BH and others around them? Good roles are acting dumb like BH, JS-Kyung, the twins, Chairman KC & his "no brain E-Lim"! Writers in this drama must be the ugly guys in order to create too much jokes and too many unrealistic stories far from our life. No fun to watch it, no wonder the rating is low. Can’t the production afford a better actress than her? I think even if half of this drama is done, it’s still not too late to change her. The ex-husband of BH is terrible actor too, wonder how he’s getting paid for this. The gd of ex-husband can be done with, she actually is non-existent, I wonder why they pay her for her so-called acting. The male lead is good at what he does. The female lead is okay, just too dumb to be true. The step mom and daughter? Yes, they are supposed to be really annoying but sadly they too cannot act. The step mom just rolls her eyes and think that is all she should be doing. These actor and actresses are a joke. The mom and dad (chairman and Mrs. Jo) do justice to their role, could be better if the script isn’t so dumb.

Ken Sep 20 2020 1:23 am I don’t like the acting of Sang Ah, don’t get me wrong she seems unable to show much emotion because it looks like she had too much surgery on her face that she cannot move it that much. Her too-pointy chin looks misplaced and unfitting. Has any of you watched “Here comes Bori Bori”? They should have made the antagonist there who played Yeong Min Jung the Sang Ah in this drama then it would have been awesome acting. The husband here does not know how to act too, seems like he’s just reading lines. I like Bok Hee but writers need to work better, no person who has been wronged as much as the same character will act dumbly like her. Stop making the main character look dumb and stupid, what ‘s wrong with her letting speak out her mind or tell the truth when she has been wronged? Would you, writers, act that way if you have been wronged and knew exactly who did it, would you just say “sorry” or cry it out without shedding light to what happened? No wonder rating is too low.

They all know that Sang-A is a very bad & scary woman, why does KC, EL, S-Kyung & BH not clarify all the terrible things they have experienced by Sang-A? Although these are just stories in dramas, how could filmmakers, writers let such ridiculous stories happen not once, but too many times? If they want to have a lot of episodes for "My Wonderful Life", they also need to create appropriate stories, having educated characters with knowleges instead acting like a dumb! They should stop stories that are too childish, too far from reality, so that moviegoers won't get bored with this drama! If BH plays a good person who knows what to say to Sang-A ... BH must also know what BH needs to do, what to say to the terrible people such as Ki, Ji-Ae, S-Sook & H-Hee... these four only care for money, take advantages, say lies and treat BH cruelly for too many years! How could BH and two children's roles behave like idiots? None of their acts are making any sense at all exept looking so stupid! Also, BH's role, in this drama, is 30 or 34 years old??? The boy's sister is acting in a role of a smart daughter, how could she allow this unethical father to take advantage of her and her brother? BH ex-husband, stepmother and her daughter are all shameless, lying, cunning and greedy, so Bokhee has known that, why keep being used and deceived? Although these shows are just stories in the dramas, they should not be too far from reality, otherwise the stories would become boring and too fake!

The story line is so predictable and the most annoying thing is watch these asshole actors stand 1 foot away from each other without the other person noticing they are there. They are either conveniently next to a tree nearby or just around the corner in plain view of the other actor….but miraculously they go unnoticed like some bullshit Korean ghost.

I’m only watching this drama because I enjoyed Boki’s last K-drama (“Wanna Taste”)…but other than that, the production team deserve to be put in jail for crimes against the K-drama loving public.

The funniest part of this drama is the stage set- up. Within 10fts apart, Bokhee’s couple does not notice her ex-husband spying on her.

However, it is also ironic to notice that we are still watching the show daily. *smirk* PBH is frustrating. the people surrounding her are trash. the good guys are all too slow and the bad guys are simply shameless. even the fact that long melodramas take time to build up doesn't make up for this trap of a show. But this is pretty much what real life is like. a really bad melo-kdrama! the good guys are few and far and the bad ones get away with shit. so the plot (however terrible) kinda is a more realistic depiction as opposed to the candy we are used to loving... for sure it will continue being its terrible self and I will probably still tune in to watch this trash anyway.

It is slow, but am enjoying the story line, props, clothes and most of all the culture. There are similarities in the work place and then there are differences than what I am used to. At this time, this drama is my favorite. I mean I am anxious and look forward to each episode. Of course, as in each drama it works out for the best. Thank you for the enjoyable series.

For e.g. who would have thought the reveal of the fake daughter and unethical doctor would be through Park Bok Hee's half sister? This show challenges all our high quality expectations of kdramas and so we struggle with its lack of predictability ....Will see it to the end to watch PBH overcome!!!

No offense, but Ko Sang-A's Dorito chin is really distracting. She looks like a generic Gangnam Unnie. Even though Park Bok-Hee is annoying asf, I like how we finally get a main female lead who is usually not passive and not timid too.

This drama is more suited for bored ajummas

Anyways, nice reunion for Won Ki-Jun to be Kwon Ji-Min's kdrama dad again (like in Gangnam Scandal - another awful drama btw)

After watching the first 4 episodes, it’s somewhat of a comedy but the characters are just a bit too extreme. I want to kick the ex-husband in the nuts. She can take on kidnappers, but not get what’s hers. Especially after he stole the money, and trying to get her to sign the divorce papers. It does not sound like he has a job, but everything is in his name and he can have an affair with a gold digger. Does not make any sense.

So far I find the acting overly dramatic even for this genre. The main characters are frustrating. The plot is typical and predictable. I hope once we’re 20 episodes in it will get some substance to this sad story. On a 16 episode drama, if the story doesn’t hook me by the second episode I stop watching. So far, they’re batting zero❗️

I actually recommend it ~ Starting it at about this time is the best, in my opinion, because you get to binge the episodes where she is stuck to that loser of a husband.. The fact that is is 30 min per episode is also a positive point for this drama..

I actually find it a little bit funny. I hate her husband, step mom and father in law so much, she should just divorce the man even though i understand why she doesn't want to do so. Society is the cause of such toxic marriages, they make it so bad for a single mother that even such toxic marriages are better than having no husband at all.

Blunt Jul 01 2020 9:44 am I usually love family dramas, but I'm not a fan of the Park Bok-Hee character. She is kind of loud and annoying. For example, at the end of the 1st episode, she's with her kid who runs in the middle of the street without any precaution whatsoever. Because of this, a rich girl smashes her car, in order to avoid hitting the kid. Not saying the rich girl is a saint, but she's clearly not entirely at fault. At this point, we see Park Bok-Hee shouting angrily at the rich girl, and when she's handed a lot of cash and a business card for compensation, Park Bok-Hee throws the cash on the ground and rips the business card, tossing its pieces at the rich girl. Sorry, but Park Bok-Hee is the one being rude and unclassy here. Just because she's poor doesn't mean that rightousness is always on her side. She gives us, poor people, bad reputation.

I have been waiting for this drama and I hope it’s worth the wait because the three current daily dramas are sucky at best (just my opinion not up for debate).
