Hae-Ran (Jung Ji-So) needs a large amount of money to pay for her younger sibling's surgery. She decides to kidnap her half-sister So-Jin (Cha Joo-Young), who comes from a rich family, with Tae-Su (Lee Soo-Hyuk). When So-Jin wakes up, she finds herself in a strange place. Hae-Ran and Tae-Su demand one billion won as a ransom for So-Jin's return.

Manatsuno Feb 23 2026 2:02 am As a longtime fan of Lee Soo-hyuk, I went into Sister with high expectations — not just because of the story, but because I know how powerful he can be on screen. And once again, he did not disappoint. His performance feels intense, controlled, and emotionally layered. You can clearly see how much effort he put into this role. Every look, every pause, every subtle expression carries weight. However, the script itself feels limited. The story revolves around only three characters, and the outside world is barely shown. Because of that, the narrative feels confined and structurally weak. As a fan, it honestly hurts to see how much he gave to this role while the film didn’t fully support his performance. It feels like he was carrying the emotional weight of the entire movie on his own. Even if the film isn’t groundbreaking, his dedication alone makes it worth watching.
