Jin I-Soo (Ahn Bo-Hyun) is a 3rd generation member of a chaebol family. He has a childish personality and loves to have fun. Jin I-Soo becomes a detective for a police violent crimes team. He tries to wipe out criminals by using his enormous wealth, personal connections, and his brilliant intelligence. He works with Lee Gang-Hyun (Park Ji-Hyun), who leads the violent crimes team. She is a veteran detective and highly dedicated to catching criminals. She also has smooth social skills. Although Lee Gang-Hyun views Jin I-Soo as a thorn in her side, they begin to work together as partners. She experiences a big change in her deceptive life.

A lot of characters in good stories are purposely written insufferable at first so that the characters can grow within the stories. There's this thing call "character development" after all. If you keep dropping stories early on because of 1 character you dislike. You'll miss a lot of potential good stories.

Anyway, i respect you for not trying to stop other people from watching the drama.

lollipop Jan 10 2026 10:16 am Dropped it after episode 1. The female lead was insufferable. She was poorly written. She was unapologetic despite the inconvenience she caused the male lead. Not even a bit. She was just arrogant. It could have been a good plot. Ahn Bo Hyun was good, though. People say it's still a great show. I think y'all should give it a try, but I'd rather not annoy myself any further.

The drama was almost perfect imo, Loved the acting from the casts.

Hot take, I support the new Chairman Choi Jeoing Hun, the real MVP of the drama Lol.

After binging all 16 episodes, I felt that the plot hole that was revealed in the last episode was not really well explained/justified, just a little disappointed in the plot, but all things considered the drama was worth the watch, loved the character building. - The different cases which they had to solve together was interesting and funny. - The flexing of I Soo's wealth to solve crime was comedic and I feel that it added on to the quality of the drama. Even though the comedic effect died down closer towards the end.

The main plot hole that irked me: - The detectives in charge at the time ruled Seung Ju out was very unconvincing.. - The fact that young Seung Ju managed to drag I Soo's mom into the bathtub, turning on/off the bathtub faucet, without wearing gloves (leaving his fingerprints everywhere), and managing to vomit outside the house, leaving all sorts of evidence, and even getting into an accident near the site which points him to be the prime suspect. - Not to mention, that Seung Ju read the message from his father on I Soo's mom's phone.

CH Mar 23 2024 2:46 pm A very enjoyable show. Technically is superb. The acting is next level. It just feels like all the actors are giving their all and having fun regardless of screen time. The casting is amazing, Ha Yoon-Kyung doing a super fun character, Han Joon-Woo , Choi Tae-Joon...and specially having Lee Na-Eun was a really brave and smart move. The fact that some of the mysteries were sometimes a bit predictable was not a problem for me. The Jin family murders I do not think is portrayed so much as a mystery but more as a tragedy. Special mention to Ahn Bo-Hyun for stealing the whole show, he is a power force.

The iconic duo of junyoungxisoo, the charisma and chaotic duo of isooxganghyun and the playful duo of isooxkyungjin XD Isoo really make useful of his money to capture the criminals lol love his personality too!!

But, this is a very good drama which will attract you to guess who will be the real murderer. Saw the character development from the main casts too.

I don't like that the FL's attitude in this show, she's too harsh to the ML. Whereas Kate found Castle annoying but she also said thanks, when Castle was helpful in solving their cases. I'm on episode 8, and I think there's no chemistry between the ML and FL so far. Wish there was more push and pull. It would make the show more interesting to watch.

Her two detectives colleagues resembling Esposito and Ryan. One of them even has fling with the forensic doctor too! Gosh!

In Soo capabilities of accessing high and wealthy sources are similar with Castles. The series involved the past cases and political intrigued too.

I know its common if a writer inspired by others work. But ....

As much as I love the ML actor, I just can't stand the FL acting so arrogant without a context. How come she's the one who's mad even if she's the one who got the wrong guy in the first place. Bullying ABH for what? just being a rich son? lol. Also the expression of the FL is not giving, that I lost it at episode 2. Can't bear watching her ugh.

Marsha Feb 17 2024 2:39 pm The police team said that investigation need teamwork and tell each other, but they don't let ABH to join the team and involved in investigation, they just do the opposite for what they said so ABH investigate and not tell them because they don't want cooperate with him, but the police team blame him because he not tell them, the police team also not tell him about investigation, they don't give opportunity to him, they must acknowledge the first case solved because of him, they must give him chance to become part of the team

Only good thing going for me is ABH. Otherwise I'd have dropped this cos of the FL and that Jun young tall cop. Both characters are extremely unpleasant.

I like this drama so far but i cant keep getting annoyed by thr FL and tall cop (he is the ingrate ex-friend of hyungsik in dr slump) its already ep 5 with ML helping and succeeding but they dont acknowledge his action instead they berate him. Whthout ML their team will be disbanded. Pls pls let them die or turn around and be nice for a change!!!

And although I thought Park Ji-Hyun was great in Do you like Brahms?, I felt like she wants to keep on smiling in this role when she shouldn't be. Looks like her acting is blooper footage.

As much as I like Ahn Bo-Hyun, I may not continue watching this drama because it is too farfetched. It's not a child's play when a rich boy just comes into the police station to become one of the police officers, just like that *snap*.

However, I May watch when I have nothing else to watch though. Lol But you see a slight decline in the ratings (ep 4)? I wonder where it would lead though... but a slight decline could mean No Jam (less interesting).

Anyways, I've said my piece here. :D

I just want to see in one ep that FL and her loyal tall-guy assistant who is basically st@pid get humiliated for their incompetence infront of ML and police heads. I really felt bad when they celebrated to eat out and not invite ML. These 2 are prejudice and tall guy is just following FL hating ML without context.

After fast research I checked that they meant Silver spoon, Russian Netflix drama (actually on wiki page of Silver spoon it is mentioned that there would be Korean remake). They probably a bit hide this info now because of political situation with war in Ukraine.

The first 2 episodes aren't that bad, but the 2 detectives and that autopsy doctor are kind of annoying. Yes it wasn't very ideal to let an untrained citizen join a homicide team, but they kinda bully him in a way. Ganghyun is rude. She judges Isoo's whole personality based on his status as a chaebol's son and internet persona. It was her fault to assume Isoo is a perp to begin with. She caught an innocent guy, beat him up, and question him in the interrogation room without a lawyer. That's a harassment and she didn't even bother to apologize. She continued to behave very rudely because she didn't like her boss's decision, but has no power to go against it.
