Jung Da-Jung (Kim Ha-Neul) is married to 37-year-old Hong Dae-Young (Yoon Sang-Hyun). They have have 18-year-old son and daughter. Jung Da-Jung works hard as a rookie announcer and she has a warm heart. She becomes completely fed up with her husband and is unable to deal with him anymore. Hong Dae-Young got fired from his job and he is looked down upon by his family. Jung Da-Jung hands him divorce papers.

Meanwhile, Hong Dae-Young looks at himself as an ordinary jobless middle-aged man. He regrets his life. At that moment, his body changes into that of an 18-year-old year old person, while his mind is still that of his 37-year-old self. Back in his teenage days, Hong Dae-Young (Lee Do-Hyun) was an excellent basketball player and also popular. Now, with his regained 18-year-old body, he changes his name to Ko Woo-Young and begins to live a new life.

Abbeygaile Feb 16 2026 10:58 am OMG... words can't even picture the love that I have for this series. I am not an avid K-drama watcher myself. I was very unfamiliar with K-drama culture. But as a series lover, I stumbled upon 18 Again a few years back and decided to watch it. Best decision of my life, I don't regret it at all!!!!

Speaking of regrets, it is actually the show's main theme. This resonates with me so much, and I have a deep connection with the plot of this series. I've learned that no matter the path you choose in life, there's always a good and bad side to it. Regret is only a need and curiosity of ours for the other path that we didn't choose. Moreover, regret is just something that follows us no matter the choice we made. It is our response that is vital. This series teaches us to live with no regrets #noregrets ;p

It also teaches us many values about sacrifice, romance, family, and friends. I especially love the role of sacrifice in this series. Wheter if it's for your spouse, children, friends, or even other people. We see all of Dae-yong's sacrifice unfold layer by layer in each sub-plot. We learn more about his character and all his sacrifices every episode, and I love how the writers reveal it to us slowly and steadily. There were so many subplots, but they managed to fit all of them in 16 episodes and ensured that all of them hold a purpose. There are no subplots that were not related to the story or where we don't learn more about Dae-yong imo.

I would say that I prefer watching this to the original 17 Again film featuring Zac Efron. I’m not saying the original movie is bad, but I have such a deep connection to the K-drama version more because it has so much depth and layers, and like 50x emotional. I can't even count how many times I cried while watching. I just remember crying in every last 9 episodes. While the original movie is more lighthearted and comedic, I love how this series focuses more on the emotional part than the comedy.

I finished my 2nd rewatch the day before, and the post-series emptiness is already eating me up. I've watched 18 Again 3 times, and I still can't believe that it's over! :(

The music is also something worth talking about. The OST from this series is to die for, and I’m obsessed! The actors also did such a great job making this series. They all acted so well. Also... It's probably because I haven't watched any K-dramas at that point, but there are some scenes that were too hard to watch lol. Idk, maybe this is how it is for every K-drama, but dang, some scenes were pretty cringe in my opinion. I don't remember how much I had to pause every hard-to-watch scene and walk around my room to reflect, haha.

But overall, this series is a 10/10 For Me! I definitely recommend this series to everyone. It's tear-jerking, but so worth it! You will learn so many valuable life lessons here. It's also comedic from time to time. Pls watchhh!!!!!!!

elliemae207 Aug 24 2025 10:16 pm I don't understand why the ratings are so low when this is a very good show. It has just the right amount of comedy and drama.. that when it suddenly mellows out, it tugs at your heart and makes you wanna laugh and cry at the same time!

Hats off to Lee Do-hyun!! Both of his comedic and dramatic timing are on point!! Kudos to all the cast members.. I love the character development, the various struggles that each one faces and no one knows.. and they each rise to the occasion; sometimes it makes them worse, other times better people.

The only thing I'm still surprised by.. and I'm sure it's not exclusive to the Koreans.. is that people are still so narrow-minded in this day and age. The internet trolling just because the FL made a mistake when she was a teenager.. how the community condones public smearing and humiliation.. SMH!! Everyone makes mistakes.. but if you look deep down, she was courageous to have raised her children, in fact to give birth at her young age, instead of succumbing to the nay-sayers (her own mother included)! So what was her other choice instead of giving birth -- should she have aborted and killed her own babies?!? Damn if she does, and damn if she doesn't!! Everybody makes mistakes.. shouldn't we all be more graceful and forgiving?! The public shaming is the worst part of this Show..

Still, I give it a A- rating!

However in real life a guy with such face won't be bullied, I mean isn't he too handsome for being an outcast?

Erika Oct 17 2024 9:54 pm Absolutely wonderful drama! Lee Do Young is so perfect in this role. The voice, the facial expressions, the comedic timing, the deep longing eyes while he stared into the FL's unfortunately deadpanned face. (Seriously she was close to ruining this for me)

-Yoon Sang Hyun and his gorgeous head of hair and those Cover Girl lips!

-Both children were excellent!

-Baby Hwang In Yeop in only his second role and considering he had probably 5 lines of dialog in Nokdu, he was really good!!

And Ha-Joon. I wanna say his name 3 times so he'll appear in my dreams. LOVE!

I ended up with 1st, 2nd, And 3rd lead syndrome but the writing was SO GOOD, I was left fulfilled and complete by the end. It was the most perfect and realistic ending regardless of the fantasy element.

I'll quickly note that the rest of the supporting cast and background storylines were all well written and never felt like episode fillers. This drama is moving ahead of some of my longtime favorites. 10 stars, would recommend, will rewatch again and again.

You can stop reading here if you've made it this far, but I gotta say, Kim Ha-Neul did not meet my expectations at all. She belongs on a courtroom drama. She was so expressionless and even when she seemed to try to evoke an emotion, it did not feel genuine at all. Like she was reading lines during an audition, but not as an actor, rather as the random person who reads the other lines off camera. Thank goodness there were so many other cast members to carry this show and keep it a 10 for me.

Everything about 18 Again is so beautiful & touching.. the storyline, cast, cinematography, real life lessons, and everything are so perfect!! The umbrella part.. i cant. I also absolutely adore how real it is, especially that scene towards the end. I loved each and every episode. It's a rollercoaster of emotions, making you cry, laugh, and feel everything. It has a good mix of comedy, romance, and especially a heartfelt moments. The drama made me realize how bittersweet having a partner is. There are also a lot of real life lessons conveyed in the drama.

Lee do hyun was really good pulling the teenage/ajussi character. He really deserved the best actor award. The rest of the character was also great. But Jung Da Jung looks kinda old coupling to other male partner. So it's kinda off to me. Overall, it was so exciting to watch all throughout. Never felt bored.

Ciepao Dec 23 2023 7:38 am Before I start giving my review of this drama, I want to say first that all the actors did an amazing job in this show! They were all impressive!

Back to my review, I love the story of this show, the way they face their problems, and the way you can really feel their emotions, especially their frustration. The chemistry of the main leads was fantastic; their problems as a couple and individually will really make you cry. A lot of topics were shown, and they did justice to portraying them and solving them as family, friends, and workmates. Hong Dae Young is such a green flag; who wouldn't fall for him? His going back as a young version of himself and trying to work things out will make you look forward to the next episodes. I give this drama an 8/10.

I don't give this a perfect 10 because there is really nothing extraordinary in this drama. I've seen a lot of this kind of show, and nothing here in this drama is outstanding. The start was perfect, but like any other drama, the ending felt rushed. His suddenly going back to his old self while talking feels a little bit out of place. And the love triangle around Shi-A is not necessary, especially his stalker. I really wish they stopped adding random crime to all Korean dramas, especially if it is a romance or drama type of show.

Nevertheless, it is still recommendable and fun to watch.

Don’t miss this one. You will learn lots of lessons in life. There are some humors but not a lot because it’s not comedy, better prepare box of tissue !

Luna May 01 2023 9:32 pm It took me almost 3 years to watch this drama. Lee Do Hyun is the sole reason indeed. I really like how he delivers his lines especially when he’s mad and when he shouts. Hahaha. He was really amazing here. He could make you laugh and cry at the same time.

And about this drama, plot is good. However, I find this boring. Maybe ‘cause there’s a lot of flashbacks. I knew it was designed for us to better understand their past. It’s just that flashback is not for me. But this drama has life lessons that’s why I didn’t drop it. Lee Do Hyun and the other supporting actors were hilarious.

jjj Apr 07 2022 9:14 am wow...this drama hits me so hard. it reminds me of my parents. my parents had my eldest sister when they were young and i don't really know if they were ready for it. my mom was only 17 and my dad was only 18 when my eldest sister was born. but now, what's important is that they were able to provide for me and my siblings. this drama made me realize all of the sacrifices that they made even more. they weren't able to go to college too because they needed to raise us. it must've been very hard for them but i'm glad that they were able to hang in there. now, i'm trying to repay them by doing well in school, respecting them, and caring for my siblings. i cried a lot while watching.

Mike Feb 20 2022 2:28 pm Don't be fooled by the lighthearted title and promo photos, this is not a comedy, although there are humorous scenes. This is a wonderful, beautiful, heartwarming serious drama of love of family, loyal friendships, and well said previous comments better stated than I can describe. Lee Do-Hyun was great in Youth of May, but his performance here was amazing, I couldn't wait to see every scene he was in. I love Kim Ha-Neul here and ever since watching her in On the Way to the Airport. Roh Jeong-Eui was terrific as the daughter, and her and Lee Do-Hyun together scenes were wonderful. I loved this movie, it is my personal atf along with CLOY and IOTNBO. I, too, used a lot of tissues, but it was for heartwarming, touching, feel-good scenes. I loved this film so much.

When I first saw the title and trailers I thought it will not be a good drama but, today as I've finished watching it, I can say I nade the right choice of watching it. This drama reminds me of small and unappreciated things in my life. I can very much relate to the main characters because I's also experienced choosing between my dream and my lovelife. In my case, I chose my dream. I cried a lot while watching the drama realizing that I am not brave enough to fight for the one who loved me and I loved. For me regret is always present in anything we choose between our choices. It is not because we did not want what happened to our choice but because we are just too curious if we choose the latter. This drama gives a lot of lessons in life, even you're young or adult life is hard.

Reply 1988, Moon embracing the sun, She would never know, breakup Probation A week, itaewon class, go back couple, because this is my first life, and now, 18 again.

18 again had such a profound impact that I was still crying inconsolably even after I've finished watching it on Netflix. Maybe it's because I am also a parent and there are just so many lessons one can learn from this show, no matter how long you've been a parent or the other half of a romantic relationship. (but it also has equally many lessons on friendship!)

Lee do hyun was a welcome revelation. His acting had so much depth that he was able to transform from a young parent to a middle-aged one mirroring yoon sang hyun's portrayal of his character without a problem. Even while he was in the body of an 18-yo dae young, every time he'd say something, it commands respect, you'd really believe that a 37yo man was just trapped inside that teener's body. And then you see the difference in his portrayal of dae young when he was still a young father. Everyone gave his/her best in this drama.

There were so many heartwarming scenes that made me cry buckets to think I almost didn't watch this cos the premise was just absurd. I'm glad, tho, I gave this a try. Impressive is an understatement.

I realized this while watching the episode where WY and SW had a basketball match for the first time. How WY and SW hugs, and WY do sign language to his father---it touched my heart even though I could never directly relate to that male-centric scenes of father and sson.And another thing that amaze me is---in this drama, the struggle revolves around a man and (mostly) about a man, but it managed to make me sympathize with him without making me misogynistic. Some male-lead-centric dramas tend to makes the female lead the villain when they are getting close to second lead/other man, but here I couldn't even hate the man who approached the wife and I'm fine with them being close without hating her. My heart goes for him, but for his wife too. Simply adore this drama.

i got carried away i ramble Dec 14 2021 7:31 am Ah... this drama. It's tough for me to fully convey what I feel towards this drama into words, but I'll try. There's something deep about this drama, but it's not that kind of "deep" that makes you immediately drown. There's layers, which each one of layer sparks hundred feelings when you watch it, at least for me. It makes me think about things. It makes me think about my parents especially my father. It makes me having realization, like, did I overlooked everything my father did to me this whole time, or does he being underappreciated or appreciated enough.

It makes me think about HDY and JDJ and their life together that far. Since the first episode, like a madman I nag my laptop screen about why didn't they use condom in the first place (if they did, clearly this drama would never be exist hehe), but still, it's me that got carried away. And then we watch them grow as a family until at one point they eventually couldn't stand each other anymore, that's their time bomb.

It makes me think about the years that passed by, where did they go wrong? Is it since the beginning where they didn't using the freakin not-that-expensive condom? Is it when they decided to keep the babies? Is it because of their choices and the consequences that maybe they didn't expect? No, those all no wrong. They're not seeing it as mistakes. It keeps go round and round. And that's what I meant by layers. And that's the awesomeness of this drama.

So Lala Dec 10 2021 2:20 am I just watched it now because I just had the time. The first episode is clever, it hooked me up. As I just watched one episode, I want to highlight Lee Do-hyun. He is such a sweetheart and his acting? Superb. I love how he as a young Hong Dae-young reminds me of the young men in Hong Kong movies of the 90s or 2000s. He really serves that vibe. And I love his acting of choosing to be responsible. Fearful yet eager, worrying yet hopeful, he delivers it well chef kiss. I wish watching this gonna be thrilling ride and worth my time. The good comments raises my hopes already.

Lots of interesting and moving subplots. Among the most touching ones is relationship between Hong Dae-Young and his father; the reconciliation between them is carried out impeccably.

As a frequent kdrama watcher, it's hard to find any dramas that resonate and are intriguing anymore after watching so many and having already established my favorites. When I started this show I expected nothing, so I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised when I found myself fully absorbed episode after episode. I even had to find a way to slow myself down because I knew it would be too hard to move on if I finished it at the pace I was watching it at. And I was right, I'm already feeling that post kdrama emptiness, especially with the amount of tears I've shed from this show.

Everything about this kdrama was just so superb. Not to mention, the message it conveyed, and how it was conveyed was seamless. Sometimes I would pause it just to process the secret message behind the scene, and then just sit there in awe when it clicked. I can't even find a simple/ general way to describe it as a whole because there are so many elements that contributed into creating it to be what it was. In addition to that, there were endless things that could be learned from this drama, about love, about life, about friendship, about family, about regret, about how to look at regret differently and way more. The actors also gave so much depth to their characters that you could really feel all their emotions and connect with them. Not to mention, Lee Do Hyun acted the role of an older man in a young body, and also synchronized his role with Hong Dae Young's(Yoon Sang-Hyun) so perfectly, which I found truly impressive.

There's an endless list of what makes this kdrama so special, which is why it has become one of my all time favorites. I really want to give a round of applause to everyone involved in bringing this kdrama to life. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and highly recommend it to anyone out there looking for a meaningful, yet lively kdrama :) <3

This drama shows a part of society that is judged heavily to be 'wrong' (married and had children in young age, woman age 35+ that chose to stay single and nor married, woman age 35+ who want to chase after her dream, people who loves animation & games, and many more). I loved how this drama showed all of their hardships, how they didn't regret their choice and action, but instead keep walking and working hard for their future. This is my favorite quote: "There were more days when we were happier. Thinking back, endless happiness was always in our lives. Anyone can find it and enjoy it. It's a common luxury all of us can have. For that happiness, we decided to love our decisions." 10+ of 10 rate from me who don't like mainstream romance drama, but found this drama so perfect, meaningful and heartwarming <3

Plus all the cast performed well.

For me this is underrated. One of the best kdrama in south korea.

And yeah im not really fan of love story and out of reality tv shows, compared to those love story (which is super fairy tail in sense) this wss too good!

I recommend this. In all aspect. One of the best!

LDH is not heart throb handsome, but his trademark slow, cheeky smile is just so endearing, he played the best Daddy here. I don't understand why Hong Dae-young's wife n kids look down on him. I enjoyed the drama because not only the comedy scenes were funny, the tears I had usually for dramas happened when somebody passed away but the tears I had for this drama were different, it was due to the heartfelt emotions felt from the main characters as well as the side characters. The main and side character stories are beautifully executed, this drama is a much watch.

This drama opens my eyes to my parents’ sacrifices in taking care of me. Another thing that I’m sad about is how real they depict the reality of working mothers. And I have to say, this drama is SOO GOOD!! I really love how heartwarming it is and the lessons and messages that they have for us?? just amazing. This feels like a slice of life drama with a little bit of fantasy. It has everything!! I really like all the characters as well. Every episode, I cry at least three times because it is very touching. Not a sad cry, but cry because of how heartwarming and emotional the scenario is. I don't know how to move on from this drama, like I need to brainwash my brain again so I can rewatch it ;_; It is definitely in top 5 of my favorite kdramas.

This is very heartwarming drama and so relatable. I have cried so many and laughed at the same time and made me think of my family as well. There's a dialogue that I really like which Jung Da Jung said "Your spouse is the only person not related to you (by blood) who will always stand by you" and that is so true.

Overall this drama is highly recommended with a perfect casts!

The only similarity I've noticed with the drama series Go Back Couple and 17 Again is the time travel in a different way (turnback time alone) . But the story is way different.

I like how the female lead shined in her career despite of her age.

The male lead portrayed his role perfectly.

Lastly, I really love how they highlighted the true friendship they have such a wonderful, loyal set of friends a rare one!

I like that the story did not just pin the "blame" of the divorce to one party. And I like how the drama dealt with the relationships between the father and his son and daughter. I especially like the scene where the daughter realizes how much her parents cared for her while reading the bank passbook-very touching. No big, unrealistic twists (except of course for the main character becoming 18 again) or plots; just relatable problems and conflicts. I also like that there is good chemistry between Lee Do-hyun and Kim Ha-neul despite the age gap. This drama is a testament to the acting skills of Lee Do-hyun---he's a young actor to watch out for---despite being in the lead with veteran actors, he held his own. I actually felt that in this drama, he was THE star. And Kim Ha-neul is still sooo pretty.

blue665 Jan 03 2021 7:53 pm It's a very nice drama to watch. There were some moving and funny scenes, the actors were great too. It was pretty different from the original movie in many aspects. I enjoyed the school scenes the most, even more than the main plot actually. What I didn't like was that the drama is a little too slow at times. Many flashback scenes keep repeating and repeating so I had to skip them. It would have been better if it was a little more dynamic and faster.

Decided to warch this after his appearance on Knowing Brothers. Kim Ha Neul is so pretty, she looks so young too. Really love the story so far ❤️✨

It's indeed a smart move to switch between the 18 y/o to 36 y/o and vice versa depending on the situation to get more feeling on the scenes. I mean I will feel a bit weird to see the young version gives good parenting advices to another young characters. That switching is fantastic.

I just love the frequent use of scene switching (I don't know the term). It's where the character is doing the same action but the clothes changes and the background changes.

Of course she struggles from the prejudices and expectations placed on women, but so does her husband. Throughout her marriage, she was supported and encouraged, went to college, kept striving to be an announcer, and still had dreams to pursue.

Her husband didnt have any of that. He gave up his dreams continuously for his family, he worked low-income jobs and was ridiculed by society for not having an education, he was called pathetic by his own family. And ultimately she divorced him for reasons he didnt even know about.

Yes, the moral of the story is communication. But 15 episodes focused on the husband's suffering and loneliness and making amends. I wish there was focus on how the wife needed to apologize as well.

Such an amazing drama though. DH is a young actor that will go far for sure.

I dunno how to describe it, but you can definitely related most of dis drama from the people around you, family, friend and colleague. The scenes are epic and could leave me crying everytime.

But definitely satisfied when i saw it has score 8.9/10 in dramalist. Yall definitely should watch especially someone who likes comedy. I laugh a lot! But dont forget to have tissue beside you because it has a lot of heartbreaking scenes too

I think he looks like a goon. He is too old for the role. Woo youngs role is a lil bit o.a. y so rude to ji hoon? Especially the dinner scene. I hope she will end up with ji hoon in the end though i know its impossible.

Played by Hwang In Yeop ssi he definitely looked like Lee Jung Gi's dongsaeng loool but talk about how they did this remake was absolutely amazing! I liked the film and watched it God knows how many! I knew the film would be great if they did a series but I'm soooo glad Koreans did it. And this is how I would imagine the story will go. This is highly recommended. Love the twist and the life lessons! I, too learned a lot from this and they are very realistic or relatable to some. Go watch this!

Cuz sometimes, the cause (i.e., the turning back of the ml into its 18 yrs old self) is not important as you're curious about it & don't really enjoy the current plot shown. You just have to understand the consequences of it, & believe me you'll definitely learn many life lessons & value through this drama. So don't miss it even if you're a curious prick like me, experience it.

Although there were a few things I didn’t like/or didn’t understand.

-Ye Ji-Hoon was cool, but I found him disturbing af. How tf did he appear out of nowhere to Jung Da-Jung? Stalk-ish much.

-Did Jung Da-Jung not think that Ko Woo-Young/young Hong Dae-Young was being a little *too* affectionate towards her? Ep 1-13.

- Why did the kids not know about the truth about their father, but Hong Si-A’s boyfriend does.

- I know how Hong Dae-Young got younger (from that old guy he helped), but how did he go back to his older self??? Zero sense.

- Wish we had a little bit more story to the Black Nails Gang (something like that??? I forgot the name but it’s on the evidence sheet on Episode 15) with Lee Sang-Sik and that nasty alumni. Like why they took photographs and bully the family.

I still ship Kim Gang-Hyun and Lee Mi-Do

Kurt B Nov 11 2020 11:59 am I'm having mixed emotions with this series. Hands down to the team in creating this beautiful drama! This is my new favorite series as far as Korean drama next to Descendants of the Sun. Although it's a bit of supernatural that he became young, you get to learn something from it and it's more than that. I wasn't bothered by that but what I really appreciate is the fact that you get to learn a lot in all aspects in life such as your dreams, families, work, manners, etc. No words can describe how I feel about this drama but I will definitely watch it again in the future! I was reminded by a quote from Spider-Man 2 which is "Sometimes, to do what's right we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most, even our dreams" but this drama gave an additional lesson to that! I have yet to figure that out myself but surely, as life goes on, you will learn these things. It's never too late for your dreams even though you are late and as the series ended, they showed ups and downs which is indeed inevitable but that doesn't mean it's over. I will definitely recommend watching this! The best series made in 2020! Thank you to the team behind this from the bottom of my heart.

But if I had to put a comment on it, I wish the focused more on the relationship between woo young and his son. His story only developed at beginning and then become a sidelines later on. I wish to see more conflicts between shi woo and dae young. As we may know a relationship between a father and a son were never easy even in real life. I didn’t exactly know what shi woo truly feel about his father even when he’s divorced. He just become an obedient son who didn’t express himself unlike his sister.

Also I think the story where dae young allegedlly kill someone seems a little bit unnessecary. This is a sweet drama, I don’t like it when it turn into tragedy or some sort of it.

1) As much as possible, avoid Premarital sex. It will cost you (as evident in this drama).. 2) Communication is key.. Every relationship gets ruined once there is lack of communication.. Even your relationship with God will get ruined if u don't communicate (in prayer and worship)... A lot happened here because they did not share each other's business burden... They forgot they are supposed to be ONE and not two individuals persons.

I really love this drama.. Also.. For those saying they haven't explained why he got young all of a sudden.. Give it time.. I think it has something to do with that Grandpa and I bet they would explain it later.. Besides. In Zac Efron's 17 Again.. They didn't even explain it.. He's was even weirder cus he apparently wanted to commit suicide by falling off a bridge but then something like a 'warmhole' opened and he got young..

I love how they built a whole series from that movie.. I love how they didn't ignore the things that happened in the movie too but they added it into this series..

Episode 14 was the best for me.. M so happy rn... Anticipating the last two episodes....

I am rooting for this drama.. I actually hope they get an award or two because the messages in this drama is topnotch..

I could write a whole script of how I love this drama.. Lol

If u want a refreshing, warm and comedy kinda series.. I really recommend this one.. Frs

Litterally even him, he doesn't seem to be interested on how and what happened. The drama is good but it feels like today's korean sci/fi, surnatural dramas are all like that. No one is asking the right questions about the surnatural things that happened but everyone is just surprised for a few minutes then life goes on. For me it's a laziness from the writers.

Anne Nov 04 2020 1:14 am I think the petty "mom" reasons are pretty common in the workplace, but not up to the extent that is similar to this drama. In real life, it's more lowkey because most of the time it's more efficient and inexpensive to hire men and most especially single men, because married women with children, or single women, are more likely to take extra absences and such.

But for this drama, it's over the top, I don't know if it's a huge thing in Korea to go to that level of discrimination but in offices all over the world, lowkey discrimination is common.

Also, some companies, without the blind auditions that Da Jung underwent, are "unconsciously" discriminative.

It truly is impossible to hate any character.

My only regret is that I wish I started this when all the episodes have been released instead of waiting each week... this is truly keeping me motivated for the days to come since the pandemic..

It's really fun with all the extra spices mixed up in this version and honestly in love with Ye Ji Hoon 's (Wi Ha Joon) character as he acts so well and has got a pretty smile. Wish he gets lead roles after this. And Do Hyeon doing great as the ML. Kim Ha Neul as always that Tutor friend Kiss ass girl ❤ also the Teen Love Triangle is going good and something fresh to see in a remake version (good script modification trial) Even the villain was Handsome in this drama lolz and all Male cast are good looking excluding the chubby cute friend of the ML, well not bad looking but cute ! Also his funny chemistry with the School teacher is really fun to watch. Over all enoying the drama. Recommended.

I thought since Sia has two potential love interests in this drama they would skip that part, but so far they are using it more for comedy to make us laugh when we see how uncomfortable HDY/GWY looks. In Alice it made the audience uncomfortable because it’s a more serious show, and it seemed like they were trying to say that 2020 and 2010 Tae Yi are different people to justify them. The next episode will have more HDY and JDJ scenes, but it’s hard to have a lot of those scenes simply because GWY is just a high school student and JDJ’s son’s friend. We get more flashback scenes of them together.

+ Lee Do Hyun has so much potential, I hope he gets more projects after this, especially before his mandatory enlistment. He's good at variety shows and he can dance too. He seems like a good guy as well based on how much he loves his parents.

Check him out on Running Man Episodes 496, 499, and 510. He's funny as hell and you'll see why I said that he seems to love his parents a lot. And watch his previous dramas as well.

I hated the original movie because everything was too extra and childish with lack of emotions that I could relate to. But kudos to the writer and director of the korean series on how well the expanded the story. I am a sucker for this genre(my fav drama is the reply series) and this drama will have a top position in my list. Lots of people are hating for no reason at all. The drama deserves more love.

The story is very good, I like the story, it has a very good lessons to learn . The real feelings of the parents towards their children, their fears why they're so protective, in a way why their ways not appreciated by their children but the truth is because of their too much love to them. Also we could see here what's on the mind of our children, how do they appreciate the parents way of love etc. It's really a very good drama to watch. I highly recommend this. I’ve watched the American movie but I seriously want to applaud the writer for being able to expand the story without messing things up. This drama is so perfect. How much more realistic and relatable can it be. I don’t mind crying episode. There’s so much life lessons we learn from this every week.

Just to be clear the only character I really hate Is the coach. He’s so annoying OMG! I hope they expose and fire him soon.

Maybe bc I’m 28 so perhaps the older generation can appreciate this more? It definitely is an eye opener on how to approach people you care about who are way younger like my little sister.

I’ve never seen 17 again and i don’t really care to bc in over zac Efron.

I’m also pretty picky but this got me hooked since the first episode! I don’t see any pervy ness so it’s weird how people will make up disturbing scenarios just to not watch it

Also ignore those bad reviewers because some of them have this bad father-daughter romance imagination. The father is just looking out for his children like a normal parent. It's not like they went on a date or something.

I've cried especially with the back stories. They were at their peak but still decided to take responsibility. They both lost their dreams. Fortunately, Da Jung got her dream back eventhough there are still obstacles in her way. But, when I think about Dae Young... I just wanted to cry. He will never got his dream back as he grew old. Being the father, takes a lot of responsibility. I'm sure there were a lot of times he was tired too. This kind of plot makes me realize to be grateful and to remember the little things in life whatever happens.

mianhae Oct 13 2020 9:15 am I just watched episode 7, I am a bit worried about how the story will develop between Shi-a and Woo-Young, I really hope there will be no romantic feeling involve in their relationship because I find it creepy. Even if there is a cliche saying that "daughter's first love is her father", I find if that saying put into this plot it will be more creepy than sweet or romantic. Please don't do it, dearest Writer. After all, not everything has to be "romantic", a friendship between girls and boys in high school can be really beautiful too. At first, I was hesitant to watch this show because I was afraid to see if there will be any romantic relationship between the daughter and father, but then I gave it a go, and so far there is nothing much happening. But this 7th episode sure makes me a bit nervous about how the story will continue.

I find this episode less fun than the previous ones because I find the amount of conflicts are too many, especially the sports teacher dramatic antagonist scenes, they are still understandable tho I think it could be a bit more tone down. Also, I find the way Ae-Rin and the sports teacher found out about Woo-Young identity, was a bit rush and not so believable. How can they just believe it that way without needing more explanation or proof? Especially the sports teacher lol! The least he could suspect at least is maybe Woo Young is Dae Young's son. And I hope Shi-a can be a best friend, instead of a lover, with Woo-Young, the way Shi-Woo does. All in all, I really hope we see more connection, be it friendship or love story developed in the future between Shi-a and Ja-sung. Maybe this Drama will be different than many other dramas, and let our tsundere Ja-sung win this time hehe. I mean childhood friend is cool, but it can be a bit boring for highschool romance. So far, it's been a nice drama. Hopefully, the story will only get better moving forward. Cheer up!

I really liked him in Hotel de Luna that I wanted him to be the lead partner for IU because of his pitiful character. I hope he will have more projects after this. What I like about this drama is there are many events in one episode and it was so funny. Their casting are really perfect! Great actors and actresses. :)

The lead actor is so good landing a Leading Role so fast no wonder why he is so good he portrayed his character very well... I know they have a low rating in korea now but they are nailing in international area... If only this got to netflix it #1

upi Sep 29 2020 4:22 pm so, i looked up on Lee DoHyeon filmography track and found out that now he's played as Noh JeongUi's father twice.. i think it's sweet to see a young man as a father.. i got so emotional watching the 3rd episode's epilogue where Lee DoHyeon plays as the father picking up his kids from kindergarten instead of Yun Sang Hyeon..
