Lee Roo-Ri (Sooyoung) tries to get a job at big company, but she gives up. She doesn't have a good relationship with her strict father. Lee Roo-Ri decides to travel to a foreign country to get away. There, she meets Jung Tae-Yang (On Joo-Wan) who goes by the YOLO motto. He wanders around the world and places priority on his happiness, but he also carries an emotional wound.

After she meets Jung Tae-Yang, Lee Roo-Ri has a turning point of her life.

Daw Bak Jun 09 2024 4:40 am I'm looking for long kdramas to watch while crocheting, so I can watch it mindlessly, like Father is Strange or Once Again, which are good ones. I know this an old kdrama, but oh my, I can't believe the amount to physical altercations in this drama, and like it's so normalize. Especially the dad to the mom, the ex cheater bf to Sooyoung's character. To Joowan's character. I mean, it's a weekend "family" drama. And the misogyny! Of the dad, even the son when the mom wants to separate. I think they toned down this a bit in the new long kdramas I've watched, or should I say, they become sneaky about it. Coz nowadays, it's always portraying ridiculously bad mom's (I mean, I know they exist too, the bad mom's) but it's so ridiculous, like a bad controlling mom, and then a helpless dad.

Am I still going to watch, of course, but if anyone could give me good recommendations (the likes of Father is Strange), I would love to watch them, even if they're not famous ones. It's easy to search here for the timeslot of Father is Strange but idk, why other networks like mbc or jtbc aren't consistent w/ the timeslot or if it's 50 or 100 episodes, so idk how to search.

Park Min Oct 07 2022 9:12 pm Weirdly enough, most of the main leads story don't feel more than side stories. The main focus/conflict is Kevin Miller and people connected to him. Go Jung Do is there for first 20-ish episodes then he turned to a guest character with the purpose of giving reactions. His story was cut short, he disappeared in the last 10 episode then got a quick update at the end but we didn't know how he made up with his wife. Why make him and his wife main characters in the first place if you gonna neglect them. Speaking of neglect, I wish the divorce plot was given more attention, it would create a better dynamic. The synopsis/plot and the drama started with them but they weren't given more than 5 episodes about their divorce issue. Also, Jung Do's mother who created a massive mess and was considered the main villain suddenly disappears around episode 30. Finally, the female lead doesn't feel like one, barely given any attention to her character writing and most of the other characters stand out more than her.

The drama had a big issue with pacing, plot layout and incoherent writing for the reasons I listed above. One thing really bugged me is how every single secret was blown out of proportions like it was a world ending event. The drama itself is fine, casual family drama with some melo, I was just expecting more of it.

Most of Seo Hyo Rim roles are the usual evil female antagonist but in this drama she's the exact opposite and it's great. Hopefully we can see more of that in future drama.

zombie Aug 20 2018 10:50 am finished epi 48 two more epi and that will be it im already feeling the withdrawal syndrome id been watching one epi per day but sometimes i wanted to watch more but i kept my cool not to get addicted the acting and casting was super excellent i loved every and each one of them my best actress was aeri tho she play the villain but she did it perfectly her acting and faces she made was incredibly good the 2 partners in comedy myung rang and sung tea was very funny but what really cracked me up was halmonim and the maid there comedy was sso sarcastic and ironic so funny i couldnt get enough from them i liked the story and the pace was kept excellent i give this drama 9 out of 10 and im surely recommend it

zombie Jul 20 2018 4:13 am just finished epi 17 and i really like this drama the lead couple are good usually i dont like the comedy part but on this one myung ra and sung tan the two clowns are hilarious the only other drama that iruri the lead female was on was the story of of surrogate mother thats when i became her fan all the rest of the actors are good and the storyline is great i highly recommend this drama the ratings started lazy but halfway it shoot up that means the ending is gonna be great so im excited

Kim Soo Mi is comically entertaining as Yeon Joo's mother! Kim Kap Soo is annoyingly entertaining as So Won's father. Very outstanding cast for an interesting drams!

the office couple is meh. the oppa and ex wife are starting to get me invested and the main couple made me cry this week unexpectedly.

the main guy's mother is irritating and becoming like the mother of her own husband - meddling and judging.

Sooyoung is doing well for herself, Joowan is oppar material and Hangyul is such a cutieee.

The characters like the mother in law (so funny when she speaks and gets angry), the granddaughter, Myung Rang and her bf and the dad are so funny and so into their role. They add this element of fun, craziness and excitability whenever I see them act. They are a natural. It is like something big is about to happen and it does not disappoint. The fights and the dramas are hilarious and just what is needed to make the show a real joy to watch. Thank you so much for producing such a great show :)

drf Jan 07 2018 4:01 pm they need to focus alot more on the main couple. the secondary couple story is soo cheesy. they break up for dumb reasons and then right after they want to get back together... and the old mother is solely for comedic relief. then there is the pointless office couple which just makes me shake my head

maybe it's because i haven't watched these super long kdramas before--do they make the dad this awful because he'll have a helluva character development later? honestly how do you come back from some of the comments (he points to the mom and says she's old and post menopausal so while he's still a "man" she's no longer a "woman"... Rhyss ikram, dr Sep 14 2017 9:28 am I'm watching just to chill & be a little bit laid back & taking it in an easy mood. i totally love it with it's funny moments. The story & the plot might be a bit overboard at times...but it is still hilarious & refreshingly funny especially the father-mother relationship. A father who is domineering, bad tempered, self centered & bordering on being unkind & unloving...mistaking himself as the opposite those characters! Thinking that by working hard & being the sole provider to the family is enough to reflect their love & concern for their spouse....thus justifying the role of the wife to be in total subordination to them.... hmmm... But then, taking this drama in a chill mode...i just love episode 4 when they hugged each other...the acting was good & beautifully funny.... Will keep on watching this

also i do not understand why dramas make such a disservice to their women by portraying them as stupid, since i know for a fact that South Korea has one of the best education systems in the world - a good education system cannot produce girls who act like handicapped 12 years old.

It appalls me at how he thinks he did everything right and they should be grateful when that thinking right there is the root of the problem. I really wish she would just divorce him and move out of the house. As for Ru Ri she's a grown woman I don't undwrstand why in kdramas and Korean households the parents continue to baby and boss their ADULT/GROWN UP children.

But since it's 50 episode weekend drama, I hope he doesn't get relegated to a supporting role in the second half (which happens so very often in daily and weekend dramas).
