"The Reputable Family" revolves around the Choi family as they perform noblesse oblige. Main character played by Cha In-Pyo has a spiritual supporter played by Han Go Eun, who is also his love interest. Kim Sung-Min will play the evil character and rival to Cha In-Pyo.

Park Min Oct 06 2023 9:02 am Soulless and dry!! It got significantly worse when the drama forgot its main objective and focused on the parents opposing the ML's love interest. Too much unwarranted stupidity. The cast performance was serviceable at best. For a 16 episodes drama it didn't deliver anything substantial. Even if we were to condense down everything into a single movie, it still wouldn't be worth it.

LAPD Jan 22 2013 3:54 pm Great story. It was a way pleasant departure from the anxious storyline of trying to find a family rich enough to marry one's children into. <-- gets old real quick. (And one thought that the Wicked Stepmother was the most avaricious, superficial of mother figures. Fiction has nothing in comparison to real life in Korea's social lives.)

That aside, I felt RF was rushed, clipped, and suffered from bad editing. The tale had such massive potentials, but seeing enough of Mr. Cha elsewhere, couldn't help but wonder if a lot of the problems in transitions had a lot to with actors' schedules. I just felt a little cheated (Mr. Cha is so good whatever role I've seen him in), just wish there was more of it!

Otw, one of my Tier II dramas, up there with Chuno.
