Park Min Sep 20 2023 5:09 pm Although it's politically themed drama but it's a watered-down surface-level politics and the excessive overdramatization didn't fit its theme. Repeating the exact same dramatic flashbacks multiple times throughout both seasons further highlights my point. It ended up relying on these melo moments rather than having a better written political drama and a more engaging dialogues as you would expect from a good political drama to have. What also didn't fit its theme is the male lead constant overreacting and overacting for his role. The romance of the main leads and the pair up of the secondary leads were all out of place. On the other hand, the OST was nice, it reminded me of "Comrades 2010". The drama is okay if it was your first political drama, can serve as an easy introduction to the genre.

Helen Jul 13 2020 7:10 am This was a really draggy drama. I started to lose track of how many times the good guys had the upper hand only to lose in the end. The drama consistently switched baand forth between the good guys and the bad guys winning. I got sick of that real fast. I especially did not like how they made Song Hui Seop and Oh Man Sik's characters seem so dense in the beginning, but they always effortlessly find a way to get themselves out of the mess. It made a lot more sense how Jang Tae Jun could easily help Song Hui Seop because his character comes off really smart but not at all for Oh Man Sik. Two seasons with total of 20 episodes... way too long and repetitive

Norik Baboorian Checkosky Jan 26 2020 8:07 am I thoroughly enjoyed binge watching two seasons of Chief of Staff, even though some episodes dragged a bit with the dialogue. The storyline was excellent portrayal of the new political arena in any given democracy. The cast from shin mi na , Lee jung Jae , Kim kap soo , Kim Hong fa , to the last were were truly amazing demonstrating their complex characters to the fullest , that made the viewer guessing the outcome. Bravo , great casting , directing, scenery and beautiful musical score . I highly recommend this show

S. B. Dec 10 2019 9:30 pm Excellent drama. The subjects of law, politics and corruption were conveyed to the audience in an intelligent manner. Directing, writing, casting, acting, dialogue, and fashion were all done very well. The show kept getting better and ended with all the lose ends resolved. Really enjoyed the quality in which this show presented itself.
