Three female friends, who come from totally different backgrounds, encounter enemies that they want to kill.

Gong Ma-Ri (Lee Yu-Ri) is a housewife and she has a satisfying life with her husband and daughter. She learns that her husband is having an affair. Gong Ma-Ri seeks an alternative method to end her marriage.

Chae Hee-Soo (Lee Min-Young) is a daughter-in-law of a chaebol family. Her marriage life is not going very well. She takes care of her mother-in-law, who is physically unwell and suffers from Alzheimer's. Chae Hee-Soo endures her husband’s indifference to her and she also experiences difficulties in becoming pregnant. One day, her mother-in-law gives her a terrifying, but tempting offer.

Yang Jin-A’s (Yoon So-Yi) husband is not a good person. Her husband's death leads her to collect large amount of money from his life insurance policy. With that money, Yang Jin-A is able to live a different life than what she was previously accustomed to. But, Yang Jin-A tries to protect her money and suffers from anxiety that her money will be taken away by someone.

Notes

Don't be so hung up on the details and the ridiculousness, after all it's a mix of black comedy and satire, and it did a good job in that regard. It showed a lot of interesting ideas but one thing irked me was its lack of commitment to some themes, sometimes it kept it tame and didn't go all the way through. Although the trio had a great dynamic but Chae Hee Soo always ended up being the third wheel in the relationship and in the allocated screen time which is unfortunate because there was a lot of room to get her more involved. Right at the very beginning the drama tell us that one of them will die but it was a bit obvious who. That small section involving the departure and grief at the end was a bit too brief, I wish the drama gave it more focus because it fit the theme just right. One more thing, it was a bit long and some elements got stale.

Bee Sep 11 2022 10:54 am Honestly... the plot sucks. Everything is so confusing and Lee Nak Gu/his mistress annoyed the hell out of me. I don't like how in the last few episodes the writer was just throwing in so many subplots that it got to a point where it looked like 5 different dramas in 1 but i really enjoyed the friendship between Ma Ri, Hee Soo and Jin A. If they had focused on the Oracle's cafe + less episodes it would have been better.

Lynn Sep 04 2022 7:51 am I agree with Lei. I find both Gong Ma Ri & her husband very annoying. I just can’t understand why Ma Ri would want to cling on someone who doesn’t love her anymore. What’s the point anyway? She should have just dumped him and start anew and find happiness elsewhere. The Avenger Social Club is a much better kdrama & the ladies are more classy too.

The wife don't want a divorce while her husband cheated in front of her and saying bad things like" it was a mistake to begin with " their marriage is mistake... They husband is really evil with his mistress trying to be lovely and make us believe they're truly in love ! I don't understand at all same as 2 woman that looks so pathetic :( Its disturbing and messy I wasted my time watching this,If you like something the "the wife revenge" watch the Avenger social club,I highly recommend it ,its funny and sassy
