Koo Se-Ra (Nana) comes from a poor background, but she still manages to have bright personality. She supports herself by taking part-time work. Koo Se-Ra is famous in her local ward office for constantly filming civil complaints.

Seo Kong-Myung (Park Sung-Hoon) works as a fifth-grade public officer. He sticks to his principles no matter what and he does his job well. Other people do not like him due to his unfriendly personality. He gets involved with Koo Se-Ra.

Great series that I almost missed because of the description, but the cover picture drew me in, and I am glad it did because Nana is amazing - great actress with a contagious laugh and eyes that are one moment cute and innocent and the next they are those of a psycho! I would love to see her in something dark; a Mouse kind of show

Dina Sep 27 2023 7:32 am I love this drama with all my heart! It's been my third time rewatching it and I'm still loving it. The characters are very versatile and so fun in general. The plot is very simple, yet so appealing. Definitely a 10/10 for me.

Park Min May 21 2023 7:22 pm I liked the wide camera angle shots but this is where the long list of things I liked about the drama ends. The drama tried to juggle too many genres at once that each one ended up lacking in one regard or another. I didn't find the loud aggressive comedy to be appealing in this particular case. The romance being carried solely by a few kissing scenes didn't hold its own weight. That's just physical affection. The same can be said about gen-z playing politics.

notsuzybae Feb 22 2023 12:41 pm This is such underrated drama. I wonder why the rating is not high at that time. When this drama aired in 2020, i'm not interested to watch it because of the poster. I thought it was a fantasy drama. But after watch The Glory, i began to look for dramas starred by Park Sunghoon and many people recommend this drama. Turns out, i love it so much! I could see a very good teamwork for this drama. The writer, director, the casts and everyone who works behind cameras really did a good job.

I've watched Chief of Staff but stuck on season 2 because it was really frustating. Into The Ring is much lighter and i love the chemistry between the lead male and lead female. Every casts shines brightly in this drama. They have their own charm and their own story. It's really hard to create this kind of story but the writer nailed it. The casts nailed it too by showing their perfect acting.

One thing i dont like from this drama is... they never punish Ho Deok Gu although he did a lot of bad things. I just wish that he would rot in jail. But yes, that's the truth. There are so many politicians like him in this world.

Thank you for create such a beautiful story when i can learn a bit about politic in a simpler way. Thank you for serving me a healthy laugh. Thank you for everything. I wish there's season 2.

beebonavimarie Feb 11 2023 7:05 am such an underrated drama!!! honestly put off watching it because the episodes had no descriptions on netflix but after seeing it was park sung hoon as the lead i jumped right into it. Nana bringing in her Orange Caramel screams were Hilarious And Had Me Dying!! She is So good at the comedy points but really knows how to insert her anger or sadness whenever she wasnt able to keep her secrets as district representative. I wish we saw her stay in her political position to support the chief until the very end but nonetheless she stayed true to herself both in heart and in bank account (as she was never paid and left just as broke as she came in ahahhaha xdxdxd). Park sung hoon played those reactions with puppy cries as the bg sound Soo Wrll. He Was Down Bad For Se-Ra And Those Kisses Proved Them Guilty! Such a 360 from his Glory character that idk how im going to be able to manage seeing him curse and potentially be a criminal in the glory :((( I Love A Good Girl Gang! Always admired Shin Dohyun but blank characters Were Made For Her. She was so good at being comedic relieg and the ever supportive bff of Se Ra! She Needs Her Own Drama Too! Love love love this drama 10/10 romance, comedy, angst, backstory, music, cinematography, ending, beginning, cast!!!!

VB Dec 08 2022 4:07 am What a great drama! This was my 2nd attempt to watch the 1st episode....I soon got hooked half way through. .Nana, Park Sung Hoon and the rest of the cast did a fabulous job. So much laughter in every episode. The chemistry between the leads made it worth watching.. .Nana is a natural comic...it is a must see drama ...thanks for the entertainment!

deana Dec 05 2022 11:42 am into the ring is such an underrated drama! i hope more people will discover this hidden, beautiful gem. i love everything about this drama. the cast, the plot, the ost. the fact that this is the second project of nana and sunghoon make into the ring more special than other overrated drama. they have a good chemistry, their adlib seems natural that i thought it's on the script but it's actually not! highly recommended to watch into the ring when you have free time.

Hope they consider to make the 2nd season with the same lead actors, same director and screenwriter, same comical delivery, but touch different political issues. Would be great to see Goo SeRa’s career development and manage to the national assembly.

Hope to see her more in this kind of drama. If you like fight my way type of drama, this is the next best thing. Actually i think I find this series more fun and engaging than fight my way.

The characters were so well-rounded, so developed, every intricate detail of themselves mattered to the plot and made them such an interesting set of characters to watch. The female lead was so unique: she was bright, endearing and a little silly but she pulled it off in a way that wasn't annoying.

The romance was top tier. They are possibly the most mature, supportive and non-toxic on screen couple I have ever seen. Their relationship progressed in such a soft mellow way but was somehow also slow-burn and they tugged at my heartstrings multiple times. The romance was wholesome, romantic and mature. This couple were so good together. They fit like two peas in a pod. And finally, kissing/making out scenes that were real! The actors had such mesmerising chemistry.

The political plot of this drama was done very well. Political dramas tend to be boring and dramatic in the wrong way, but this drama took a different approach. It was uplifting, it showed that ordinary people can make a change when society looks out for one another and when we support those who are in power to make a change for the community.

The cinematography was delightful! The scenes, the camera angles, the colours, the town, the atmosphere created in each scene was so beautiful and flowed together effortlessly.

I never wanted this drama to end.

It was that perfect.

Anne Dec 16 2020 8:02 pm One of the best relationships in kdramas. Their relationship is so healthy, mature, and realistic. Onscreen and offscreen chemistry is so good as well. Wish I'd see them interact or have a new project in the future, but the chance isn't that big, but I'll still hope for it since they had a past project before this.

Gong Myung best boyfriend, he was so supportive of Se Ra, and he helped her grow and achieve what she wants for their home.

Se Ra best girlfriend, she didn't care of his family and she's just so cute when she acts like a noona lmao.

Theres no words to describe how good this drama is, its not too slow, every scene is so well thought and your are never bored.

I love the leads so much Nana & Park Sung-Hoon outdid themselves. I laughed, smiled and cried with them throughout this whole drama & im not even capping, something about the love they share with each other is a different type of love you dont get in other RomComs ^^.^^

This has to be one of my favorite dramas & if your reading this, you will love it too !

LIKE FINALLY!!!! his previous hairstyle made him look like a whole egg and we know sung hoon is more handsome than that loll ^^ in terms of the drama, I loved it a lot, the main cast was great and the chemistry was soo good :)

Park SungHoon should really do more of RomCom. He is so charming. Nana is so funny. Her Go SeRa is not over the top and i can see why Gong Myung likes her. I want a male version of Go SeRa. haha

This drama has a serious theme but the storytelling and the characters makes it light. I think I haven't seen this kind of directing applied to the whole drama (that close up camera thing). And the OSTs are great.

Overall, this is a must watch. <3

The cinematography of the drama is also good, it's typicly comical yet for some other part it can touch you. picapica Aug 21 2020 5:17 pm I have hesitated about writing a comment but after seeing the ratings I felt that I have to do it. If you are not sure about watching it or not, Give It A Go!!!

I haven't seen a drama that has a satisfying ending for a long time. The flow of the drama is also good and there is no episodes that the pace of drama slows down.

Filming techniques and the scenes are making the drama to look like a light one. However the character developments and the problems that are focused are actually really serious problems similar to the real life (unfortunately). Actually I think that the light vibe of the drama makes it easier to watch it different from the regular "boring" political series and it makes the plot unexpected. Saying this as a viewer disliking the simple comedy series.

Nothing to say to the cast. I like that the main actors are not chosen based on the popularity but the required characters. This makes the drama even better and they did a really good job at casting from main roles to the supporting roles.

Is Aug 21 2020 7:11 am A fun ride from start to finish! No let-down episodes or narrative issues.

Interesting, nuanced, and whole characters fleshed out well through a solid, practically flawless script and played to perfection by its stellar cast. Everyone was just perfect for their roles. Nana made me love the batshit crazy Goo Se Ra. Park Sung Hoon made me root for Gong Myung. And the chemistry of the two is just off the freaking charts!

Directing and camerawork are a bit different from the usual style of K-dramas, and although I didn't like it at first, it grew on me. It helped keep the vibe generally light and fun, even while discussing serious social issues.

And again — that solid, practically flawless script is just really a work of art. From the parallels to coming full circle, to reaching a satisfying but believable (and not forcibly fluffed!) conclusion, I really loved the eight-week journey of the show. Moon Hyun Kyeong writer-nim, I’ll wait for your next project!

Plot: 8.5/10 (Mainly because I'm not a fan of politics but this drama was alright in terms of politics-plot) Characters: 10/10 (Nana, PSH, need I say more? Also, Choi Go! Wonderful child actor and truly a man of words)

The chemistry between Nana and PSH for this drama is Amazeballs!

The leads have amazing chemistry and are supported by awesome veteran actors/actresses. It’s refreshing to see the female lead character take charge in the skinship/kissing department ? in a Kdrama. geedat Aug 14 2020 10:43 am hwang seung ki pd-nim is back again with his unique camera shots and angles!! ngl this drama truly feels like something straight out of a wes anderson movie.

on the side note, nana is effortlessly funny and adorable to the point where i find myself sheepishly giggling at her antiques. many scenes are comedic masterpieces, especially the Goo family. i think this drama is one of the best out there and it’s amazing considering the fact that this is the writer’s first drama that won a writing competition (correct me if im wrong) and hwang seung ki also looks very young??

I've only seen Im Jin Ah before in her debut (The Good Wife), and other than being on some people's lists as #1 in the 100 most beautiful women in the world, I couldn't tell if she was going to be just above average, good, or great as an actress. This showcases her acting ability - it really is near the top of the "great" category! Phenomenal. And she has incredible comic sense. The directing and her acting make this drama super hilarious!

jack Aug 10 2020 9:38 am this drama is sooooooooooo good and sooooooooooooooooooooooooo funny. Its really binge-able. Idk why this drama is kind of underrated internationally , it deserve more love FOR REAL !. Overall i give 8/10 for the ost ; 9,5/10 for the story and 1000000/10 for the chemistry.

The comedic timing with real life issues is heartwarming & fun. The director does such a great job eliciting the micromannerisms of all the characters.

I would really be happy with a character like him?. This drama is really fun to watch when all kdramas end up having similar plot lines this is a twist which turned out well and good.

Not cringe at all. Family, works, tax, friendship, also woman leadership are being told in this drama. I'm watching this and now I know that human must stick to the principle. Law and money are inseparable. Be wise and honest before choose something. Think before doing something. Not only for yourself but also for people who need help.

Summerwinterfall Jul 24 2020 11:18 pm I really love how Park Sung Hoon can ace both the psycho CEO character and the good boy slash introverted civil servant. I actually watched this drama since PSH from Psychopath Diary and Nana whom I watched in The Swindlers is here. But later on, I found myself waiting every week for the next episode. They really exhibit a good chemistry here. I love them both. The drama also depicts the widespread corruption inside the government premises that no one talks about. It's an eye-opener. "Where are our taxes?" That's it. If you haven't watch it yet, watch it now.

Gosh, all the District Reps of Mawon-Gu, Chairman Jo n Chief Won are pathetic civil servants, total disappointments to the voters. The Mawon-Gu Municipal Office/Assembly is not a good place to work in... Only Koo Sera who initially applied for the job just for the salary is worthwhile. I find her annoying n too much in the beginning, but she slowly became more n more endearing as the only District Rep who cares for the people

Is Jul 05 2020 9:17 am Two episodes in and I'm super curious to see what's next! I picked this up on a whim so I didn't have any expectations coming in, but wow, it's a lot of fun! This is the first drama of Nana that I'm seeing, and I like how she's portraying her quirky but morally astute character. Go girl! And as for Park Sung Hoon, I became a fan after Psychopath Diary - he was so good there that I found myself rooting for the bad guy! Hope this stays fun and interesting all the way to the end! :)

Then they mentioned "Memorials". Now they have another name "Into the Ring". I found this confusing when I wanna search it through #hashtag on Instagram.

scarletsungrok Jul 01 2020 7:49 pm the first episode is already so great!! currently i am watching a lot of food/detective dramas so this political one is nice and fresh to watch!! the main leads seem simple and relatable but the story is very unique and and has definitely got me hooked! i like how sung hoons character description makes the audience think he will be a cliche cold-hearted jerk character but when you actually watch the drama he is much more approachable and definitely more realistic than the cliche cold-hearted guy characters found in typical kdramas. i also like how nanas character is spontaneous and cute and made to seem like a total crazy woman but, compared to many other kdrama crazy female leads, she is definitely not that crazy and more natural. this whole drama is very natural and does not seem overly dramatic, the pacing is great and i love the unique camera angles, all this makes the drama very entertaining and refreshing. hoping this drama stays just as great throughout its run!!! looking forward to ep2 tomorrow hehe :))
