Oh Soo (Lee Jong-Hyun) is a man in his 20's and works as a promising engineer in the IT field, a cafe owner and a barista. He is smart and handsome. He plays cupid for you men and women by using a mysterious pollen. Due to the pollen, he falls in love with Seo Yoo-Ri (Kim So-Eun). She is also in her 20's and works as a police officer. She has a bright personality and supports her family by herself.

Ciepao Jan 06 2024 4:32 am I love OCN, but I had never seen a good drama of theirs in the romance genre. The main leads have terrible chemistry, the acting of the male lead is stiff, the fantasy is not interesting, and the side characters, especially the sister of Seo Yoori (Kim Soeun), which is Seo Soojung (Park Na Ye), and her friends, have terrible acting in this show.

I personally did not like this drama and skipped a lot of scenes; therefore, I only rate it a 2.5/10. I watched this for Yoo Il (Park Minho), but his character didn't catch my attention that much. The only actor worth watching in this drama is Kang Tae Oh (Kim Jin-woo), in my opinion. I think I will rate this a little bit higher if he is the main lead, since I like the tandem of his character and the female lead more.

If you are going to watch this because of Lee Jonghyun (Oh Soo), I suggest you just watch another drama because that man is not worth it and he is horrible. Just search the scandal (the Burning Sun scandal) that he is in for you to understand how ugly inside and out he is.

Could have been better if this has season 2. They really look good together. I even wish them to end up together in orange marmalade ( dont get me wrong, i love the main lead there too but i cant just forget jhong yoon acting there).

Bomi is coming Feb 19 2019 2:40 am This story is simple & sweet, although the ending is pretty bad.Their chemistry is good too even they looked shy in some parts, no wonder Kim Soeun said she was worried about their chemistry at first as they were shy with each other. Well, their kissing scenes are not hot like other drama but still heart fluttering, Kim Soeun's expression during their first kiss was very pretty and genuine. A rare kissing scene, as the male lead asked the female lead to kiss him, instead of he himself initiated the kiss. Quite daring but sexy at the same time.People who comes here comparing about the chemistry Lee Jonghyun had with his fake wife and Kim Soeun, in my opinion those two had a lot of difficulties at first to match with each other during WGM. Even in their drama, aside from hot kisses, their interactions didn't really heart fluttering. If you cant accept my opinion here, then ask yourself why started to make irrelevant comments here by bringing some unnecessary actress. ✌

Somehow i knew that korean drama are oftenly repetitive on storyline, but this drama was really boring. If only Lee Jonghyun was paired with his We got Married/My Only love song heroine, Gong Seungyon, it will be a bomb cause their chemistry is no joke.

Vanity May 26 2018 10:47 pm Leejonghyun's acting in this drama was very awkward well thank god he's good looking. His acting is cringe worthy that you couldnt stand. He has good chemistry with the female lead but you will notice that theyre not confortable acting with each other. I was expecting KimSoEun to bring out the best in leejonghyun, that she would be able support the guy in acting but i personally think she failed on that.she even failed to portray her character well in the first place.

Hina May 26 2018 7:01 am I really loved a good part of the k-drama. I love the actors (they're beautiful and have chemistry) and I love how the story was set up initially. It was unique, interesting, and cute, although it was a little frustrating at parts in the beginning and the ending was a little bit open. It wasn't a completely open ending, it does finally end on a happy note, but the writer could have just made a complete ending so we can feel satisfied. Or the writer could have just made it a happy drama throughout.

Would I recommend the drama? Yes, but only watch it if you're okay with an ending that might not feel wholesome. So watch with caution. Besides the open ending and the addition of complexity towards the ending episodes, on a general note the drama was good because of how cute the leads were and also because of the interesting/addictive plot.

SPOILERS:

So my interpretation of the ending was this: Oh Soo came across the missing book pages that appears to the tree successors only in unfortunate timings. The book says that eating the dead flower from the tree can break the curse (I think???) and his dad didn't do it because he didn't want to do something like that without knowing the outcome. So Oh Soo ate the flower pollen stuff, I'm guessing he got amnesia from doing so but that broke the curse? But unfortunately he left to Germany and Yoo Ri wasn't updated on this stuff, so she would've thought that the curse was still there and so she couldn't love Oh Soo. Oh Soo couldn't tell her about the curse being broken because he forgot all about her. Anyways he returns to Korea 3 years later, and with the shamaness' lucky(?) item they happen to meet again twice and eventually love each other again. Does Yoo Ri finally figure out that the curse was broken? I hope so, and I believe so, because I'm assuming Oh Soo might've slowly regained his memory since he recalled a memory of Yoo Ri towards the end. So maybe he got to tell Yoo Ri the curse is broken, all is good, they love each other and continue their relationship. If all of my assumptions are right, then the ending was happy. Not completely wholesome, but it still left on a positive note. If anyone wants to discuss this with me then you can reply here.

She can act but i dont think its the right project for her. She's been acting for several years already so she shouldve proven her acting skills. Yes, she has chemistry with oh soo (prolly because theyre both visuals!)but that doesnt saved their drama.

They really wasted the potential of the idea. It could've been so much better. There was also some plot holes and some characters were either unnecessary or badly developed. I also feel like Kim So-Eun doesn't really fit the character she played, but she did have good chemistry with Lee Jong-Hyun. It is a good drama if you only watch it till episode 15.

More so it was just bits or small scenes but I really love that Yoo Ri was asking questions towards the Ajumas' on how she should handle the breakup.....And it does show the camaraderie that women posses especially when it comes to topics of the heart There's something sweet and comforting that a vastly experienced and DIGNIFIED woman can answer confidently in any situation

Illumination May 19 2018 10:20 am @spinach, As I can see you really do know about the taste difference with person, I would really like to know, who would you have picked to play the lead roles to make that drama more descent than what it really is(given you the choice)? In my opinion, actors should choose their project really carefully because they did whatever was in their hand in this drama, but nothing can save a totally disaster script. Start and end have no match. 2nd lead was what got my attention. Unconnected events, unnecessary characters and unsatisfactory ending. What I left with was headload loopholes to give me annoying sleepless nights.

Kim Soeun did better jobs in other drama other than in this but it doesn't mean she never gave any justice for her roles - she was good in Liar Game, Scholar Who Walks The Night, Horse Doctor, Iron Empress. Superb acting is very much depends on the writing and directing, and how you define it. Not all actors will have superb acting, decent acting is enough for this kind of light drama. If you want to see superb acting, then go watch heavier drama. What kind of superb acting you want to see when the scenes are pretty much light ones during the first few episodes?

Soeun has been acting for i guess over a decade already and yet she cant give a superb acting to whatever role given to her. Tho she's better compared to her male lead in this drama but still she was not able to give justice to her role.

Actings are awkward. Plot is so messy. Actors should really be careful in choosing the right project. And producers should be more careful in choosing their actors.

Sad but true..

There are so many gaps and holes in the plot that this is even difficult to count. From the poster where it is somehow suggested that pollen makes people to pass out till the very end where you have no idea why main lead lost his memory in fact.

And of course there is my favourite (as i personally call it) the one bench in a whole Seoul - you have no idea how this is possible but main leads always bump into each other or when main character finds his women just like that running around the streets, or beach no matter the fact that beach is 20 km long or in the city you have millions of citizens (how come? it's a magic)

I am very dissapointed. Pollens where not explaind, cafe is almost all the time empty, some characters are totally unnecessary - younger sister or boss & cherry plot. Fillers without any significant sense. Grandpa disappeard for 10 episodes without any explanation although at the beginning he seems important for that story - I was sure that he was kiddnapped by aliens or something. The law of tree left at the very end but still not enoug explanation about memory lost and you have a feeling that you missed 2 episodes between 15th and 16th episode in fact.

Yoo Ri doesn't seem like a cop girl at all, she can't run and i doubt if she is able to catch a cat not mention the criminal. She was really indistinct through most of episodes.

I watch that for Lee Jong Hyun - I remember him from Genlteman's Dignity where was quite good. Unfortunately his acting skills deteriorated with age. And his blase face expression was good for 17 years old teenager, here it was quite irritating. Still I like him very much and I hope he will do better for future.

Suprisingly the older brother become more interesting in time. I wish his plot was more developed also. At the very end he was shown as a nice guy and he could have second son syndrome developed better in this plot (as far as the whole family was so much focused only on Oh Soo). And another interesting character was Jin Woo. I would like to see Kang Tae Oh as a main lead because he is definitely worth it.

The ending was totally without any sense and someone has no idea how to finish it - this is more than obvious.

So congrats for creators. You really spoiled everything here. It could be a second Goblin and we got "nothing special".

The lead characters was great they have a very very good chemistry that makes me ship them in real life too haha. I was really into them, i feel the role they portray, on how much they love each other and how painful it was. The story was full of romantic excitement.

i almost cried the time they broke up and sacrifice each other. Even though its a forbidden love yet it was a good story. Thumbs up!

I don't care if he is a former of group band. I also love cnblue, but I should say objectively about his acting. It's his come back drama though.

Love Sso Apr 28 2018 9:37 am I think the acting was good and everyone delivered, chemistry was great as well - the only problem was the storyline. I especially like their crying scenes when they had to break up. Kim Soeun deserved better project, but this one was slightly better than her last drama, Our Gabsoon in my opinion. Even her acting got better, she looks like she enjoyed doing this dramaa lot. Lee Jonghyun also has improved a lot. Overall not a great drama, but can be re-watch just for sweet and cute scenes between the OTP. Well this is OCN's romance drama after all, it will give your light drama. If you want more good content, there are jTBC and tvN for you (aside from KBS, SBS). If you are not a fan of light stuff, never ever watch OCN romance and end up feeling miserable.

The best thing in the drama was only actors. The story fail to impress at the end. Plot was promising at the start but it fell miserably. If the first episode gives you jitter on your belly then the last episode will kick you to the curb. I was literally counting on seconds if there is something satisfying at last but it really become my wishful thinking. Give it a try if you want to see the handful of tickling romance between the leads and heartfelt love triangle.

The complexity of the plot somewhat distorted the flow of the story line and the message it's trying to convey. Here, the blending of fantasy, romance, comedy, and crime became a mis mash of mini plots that created disconnect leaving some viewers scratching their heads in confusion. In some shows, the chemistry between the lead actors would make a so so drama into a great one. In this case, I did not feel the chemistry of the actors coming off the screen. In some scenes the love seemed forced and romantic vibe is missing. Don't get me wrong and I mean no disrespect to the lead actors as I have seen them in other shows but in this drama I do not feel that they are well matched. An awesome pairing will make chemistry and charisma ooze off the screen. I hope the lead actors will find their perfect match in other dramas. I'm rooting for you Lee Jong Hyun.

Hello Chingu Apr 15 2018 7:16 am This drama doesn't required top notch acting - idol level drama, not to downgrade it but storyline is simple, as long as you have at least serviceable acting then it will be nice. Kim Soeun can do meatier roles, she has proved it before, this one didn't challange her that much. But she is happy and even got to sing an OST (and also wrote it) so maybe there's benefit here. She looks the most adorable here compared to her other drama, despite her character still has the maturity. Love it. She and Lee Jonghyun just match made in heaven, never thought about this pair before, but loved it to the max when they started dating in this drama. Both look so excited and genuinely happy. He is one of her best co-stars in kdrama who is in the similar age group, after Kim Bum in my opinion.

The simplicistic of this drama actually made it special. It could have been better in many aspects, but this drama isn't totally bad. Not every drama is up to compete for drama awards. Some are just to please the viewers without thinking much about the quality.

But agree, plot is weak. Viewers are mostly staying for main leads, because they have a great chemistry and very endearing.

The acting here is quite good and sustains your interest.Kim so eun is absolutely pretty and Lee Jong Hyun has underplayed his role very well.The second lead is also quite good.A relaxed watch so far .OCN romance seems to be quite good with their romance dramas (Had also liked My secret love) .Easy for you is one of the best OST of the year!

Lee is an idol, there are times idols are doing great in acting but some don't. I think Jonghyun was quite decent in some of his projects before, but here there are some moments of awkwardness. Either he was too tired (I think his schedules are quite tight) or maybe he didn't know how to approach his character. Since this is just a simple drama, I'm going to be lenient with everything. I love when Ohsoo and Yoori together, they are cute. Looking forward to see their cute relationship in the remaining episodes.

He looks okay when he has to be serious but when he smiles it is so weird because it is just unnatural LOL. His acting is also just mehh. Even Soeun is better than him.

The drama is nothing special. One funny thing, Soeun woke up in conplete makeup in one episode??? I know it is just an OCN drama but come on at least make it believable?

The main casts are not cheesy and the plot is not too slow nor too fast. I saw a lot of people complaint about the main lead but I LOVE him - and he is portrayed as that type of person: not meant to be fall in love with at first sight but the more you know him the more charismatic he will become. He is the opposite from the second lead - which is a total cutie as well. The contrast makes it more interesting - how they both show love and care but in such different ways. And Jonghyun personality really fits with this role! He looks kinda awkward and cold but he is actually funny and warm. Hope this continue well <3 Jianggg!

So thoughless about a relation with a close friend. She is immature: her relation with JW, with her mother by not telling her the truth. First she completely forgottenJW in front of the hospital when she met OS. Then again when JW ran taking his car to bring her to the hospital, she got into OS car and did not have a thought to ring JW. Just to warn him that he did not have to run looking for the car. JW should let her go in order not to suffer anymore. I can't stand the irrespect towards JW. It is already a bad start. I wonder if I will support JW and continue to watch. KTO said in the conference that we have to go until the end. It is a pity will all the nonsense here. I hope that nexte episodes will correct all these flaws. We need to love the leads to go on with the story. Up to now YR is very bad girl against his true friend and promised lover. Remember she just has promised him and did not respect right now. Come on, bad girl, I need you to act as a girl that JW would be proud. OS is just too bland.

Looking forward to get something interesting out of it. Let's motive the actors and the producer.

Lee Jong Hyun is one of my favourite ( CNBLUE ) in everything..and the second lead charisma is there making you feel everything... i don't know how the story will go.. HOWEVER i am sticking around only because i really like the leads individually. lee jong hyun is such a clueless cutie, and kim so eun is not your typical female lead (shes not a damsel in distress, but not an extreme badass too) and is an old favourite!!! im hoping for the plot to develop more

Odd (in a good way) watching Kim So Eun exercised n showed some "muscles"...i always wonder how she is being a female with martial skill...she is one petite lady with a very feminine vibe...anyway, i hope the drama will keep my interest, coz so many were very good in the beginning, then decreasing into the point that made me didn't quite care about the ending (X_X)

Love Sso Mar 09 2018 8:16 am Loved the first two epi! Lee Jonghyun was a bit unsure on his acting in epi 1 but he was better in epi 2. Besides, he is in good hand too, experienced PD and many other capable actors who can help him to be at ease. Kim Soeun is doing great as usual. I think this pairing is match made in heaven - from their visuals, voices and acting, everything matched well. Whoever decided about this casting was clever. I don't have any idol prejudice too, if you are acting then you are actors regardless where you come from. There are some real actors (who debuted as an actor and his / her full time job is to act) also have crappy acting, so not necessarily for idols only.

Anyway, this drama is not only about the mysterious pollen, but also about 'some romance'. It's interesting to see how these things will be connected. I hope the writing is done right until the end.

Finally (and hopefully until the end), Kim Soeun's drama that I can love and enjoy. The last time was Liar Game and it was several years ago.Hope she continues to get leading roles in mini series.

And the writer and PD most likely did not want him to become the class clown and do facial acrobats in his scenes so he is being directed to act a certain way and is following his character synopsis. So sorry if you feel he is acting like a rock and is boring - that is the writers intention and the PD is honouring that in his direction and LJH is taking that advice and acting on it. I am loving this drama with all my heart.

I leave watching the drama if the actors can't act well according to their character even that drama has my favorite actor in it. All i care about how well they are playing their role. If i expect from Man Oh soo character who is scientist in this drama, to be like flirty and funny like his brother in the drama, It wont make any sense. His cold character, is what making this drama beautiful. In JBL, Gang doo didnt had the expressions in beginning.... He was cold and angrier, His character and expressions grows after 5th episode in the drama. If he showed those expressions or had that character in the beginning of drama than it would have been failure for the drama. Similarly in this drama, when the story grows, Oh soo character would change too :)

May be you all should start watching some drama which will need views of yours. Leave this lovely drama to honest watchers. Seriously you all need to broaden your mind. Isn't an individual learn and add up experiences after constant working in one field or in diff fields. This is the life... this what we each human beings are doing.. are we saying these harsh ourselves which you people have wrote without thinking once. Did we stopped taling projects at our work place just because we dont have enough experience.. I'm so much surprised on thinking of these kind of watchers. Are these watchers even have some kind of humanity towards these hardworking actors? And please think once, no one get experience from doing one drama... its an continous learning. So stop saying harsh things about him..

Kim So eun has acted with various kind of actors, she has also learnt a lot from many older co-stars like Ji Jin-hee, Kim Ji-han, Jo seung-woo, Lee Sang-yoon etc when she was younger. Now it's the time for her to share her experiences with hoobaes, and this is also not her first time to work with less experienced / less talented actors / idols. I love this pairing and hope this one will be a good and popular romcom. Let's cheering on this drama!

I hope that during the drama his role can represent the important part and interesting as well. I will watch it thanks to this kind and handsome actor Kang Tae Oh. sera Nov 16 2017 4:14 am March 2018 is still eons to go, but excited to watch this drama. I love Kim So-eun to death, wishing the upcoming 2018 would be the year of her breakout success. Lee Jong-hyun was decent in his drama before, and I love him. Between him and Kang Tae-oh, no one is better than whom (I watched some of Kang Tae-oh's drama too) to be a male lead, so I satisfied with either of them to be the male lead.

Any Song Jae-rim's fan who said Kim So-eun got projects because of him and she should forever be grateful towards him, can eat their own words. It turned out that SJR isn't doing any big poject after Our Gap-soon, while KSE has one upcoming movie with Sung-hoon, had one drama special and also this upcoming drama. I have nothing against SJR, he is a very nice person (not a fan of him as an actor though) but some JR's fans are ridiculous.
