An asteroid is on course to crash into Earth in 200 days and destroy the planet. The world soon learns of the news and falls in to confusion.

Jin Se-Kyung (Ahn Eun-Jin) works as a middle-school teacher in Woongchun City. She learns about the impending end of the world. She decides to quit her job and do volunteer work at a child and youth division in city hall. She struggles to save children in danger. Her boyfriend of many years is Ha Yun-Sang (Yoo Ah-In). He currently works as a researcher at a biotechnology research institute in the United States. After news of the end of the world is released, he flies back to South Korea to be with Jin Se-Kyung.

Woo Sung-Jae (Jeon Sung-Woo) is an assistant priest at a Catholic Church. The presiding priest at the church ran away after news broke out about the approaching asteroid. Woo Sung-Jae now takes care of the parishioners at the church.

Kang In-A (Kim Yoon-Hye) is a commander of a combat support battalion. She goes around Woongchun City, which has been ruined, to provide supplies transport and security.

ermmmm Jul 10 2024 2:28 pm Although everyone hated on this show for being boring, I found it to be very interesting. Typically I would skip or speed through shows but I found myself watching this one through without doing anything. The acting and presentation is really good, I love how they portrayed each character and the relationships. However, I absolutely hated the ending and how they left some things unexplained throughout the show. Definitely worth the watch though!

Because there I will see them growing up together, I want to know why Sekyung chose Yoon Sang as his lover, why In Ah chose to be a soldier, why Seong-jae chose to be a priest. I know it will be difficult, but it still makes my wish, every time I see them. And to this day, when I think about them, I still feel a little regretful and heartbroken. Thanks to writer, I like the way she starts and ends the story.

Jillibean Jun 23 2024 7:15 pm I loved it! The cast was exemplary, So Good to see Yoo Ah In again! And Ahn Eun Jin is always excellent in everything she's in, like My Dearest. I understand the science fiction, dystopian qualities of this story would not be to everyone's liking but at least this drama wasn't like the same old same old romance story we see in 90% of other K-dramas out there. I loved seeing all the veteran actors and actresses in this drama as well. If a giant asteroid was about to hit your city wouldn't you expect some nefarious characters to show up to exploit the situation, make money in illegal ways, use people and even children in bizarre ways, yet at the same time there would be more wholesome folks who would do what they could to stop the negative stuff from happening? I think overall the good characters in this drama were the most interesting to watch and I was never bored.

And idk if it’s me? But why would the FL decide to go after the bad guys and put herself in danger ( she probably died?) instead of spending her last moments with her husband? I get it, it must be from the trauma.... but those kids have their parents to protect them! And they can just stay all of them together in a same place like the whole neibourhood for example, they’d have the gun and they can be protected by all those people! Like this is so dumb.

Also what is the point of military? If they have all those bullets and guns, why not also stay together in the same place with the neighborhood people and protect eachother? Really I feel like the ending could have been much more logical if anything. The stubbornness of the FL is kinda rediculous. Also what’s that thing inside her husbands’ stomach? Why didn’t they force him to leave if it was that important, or does the data in the usb enough for them?

Nay May 22 2024 1:00 pm This drama is so under appreciated. This is not your typical storyline. It hits different and should be rated as such. If you want to see couples barely kissing, tripping and falling into arms and the uncomfortable staring there after, this is not for you. This is a serious drama that will make you tear up and think about how you live your life. I highly recommend it. It was fantastic.

ana May 13 2024 2:13 am lots of people say this drama is boring and slow, its never an action or thriller drama in the first place, it is about human facing their slow coming death, its about their life, their sorrow, their strength, their acceptance for the end, to be hopeless, afraid but still courageous at a moment, how they still care for each other and keep their humanity, together till the end, its beautifull and touching, just imagine what would u do, if u knew u gonna die at the exact time, i think this drama is almost cover for all of what people would do if its really happen.

Noni May 06 2024 7:00 pm I'm so glad they didn't cut Yoo Ah In's scenes. Although his character was pretty pointless, cutting his scenes because of personal scandal is stupid. I never understood why Korean producers did that.

Anyway, keeping Yoo Ah In's scenes is the only good thing I have to say about this massive waste of money and precious time. I want a refund!!!

How you meet each character, getting to know who they are and what they are dealing with, all knowing that an asteroid is about to hit earth. I’ve laughed and teared up abit and each episode will have you wondering about how it will all be for them. Where will Se-kyung and Yun-sang be (they both are so good together even though Se-kyung annoyed me at times). I sometimes wonder how the crooks have time to steal kids and traffic them ??‍♀️ even the army gets involved all with having no bullets and I-na is such a badass who also is dealing with her mum issues. The young priest and the nun. The teens (each one also have their issues with parents or just having one parent, and the little ones who have lost their mum). The old couple and many more that have made this series an interesting one to watch.

Aside from the degrading of Yoo Ah In's character into a supporting character, I still like the storyline of a normal secondary school teacher turn into a dark hero avenging her murdered students while making peace with the tragic fate waiting for her and the rest of the Koreans who didn't get the chance get out of the country.

The females characters in this drama; Se-kyung, In-a, Mi-ryeong, Gye-Hyang, Myung-Ok, Sister Chae, Young-Ji, the deputy mayor and the female doctor, they are strong together and they even protect the surviving children, some are orphans due to the town's riots.

Due to the drug controversy, Yoo Ah in is reduced into a supporting character but afraid not, he got as much screentime as the lead character Se-kyung, his onscreen love interest. Despite being wasted here, Yoo Ah in still shines in his character and shows his professionalism as a very talented actor.

The drama ends 10 days before the asteroid hits Korea. While I'm not happy coz In-a leave the town when she should stand arm in arm with Se-kyung facing the human trafficking syndicate, I hope the children and the teenagers survive and arrive safely. I hope Yun Sang manage to arrive on time to be with Se-kyung at the harbour before the syndicate gets to do their final transaction. I really hope we get to see a glimpse of what will happened to these important characters.

If you watch it seriously you'll never regret it. I appreciate the characters of Ahn Eun-Jin and Kim Yoon-Hye, they portrayed it very well. Actually all the actors did too. It just they both have something that made this series effective. Of Course, Yoo Ah In's played a big role too, I love his acting, I just hope he can make more series. I'm very glad and thankful for creating this K-drama. It's worth watching!❤️❤️❤️

gongjunim Apr 30 2024 10:08 pm i don't know why everyone is hating? im only halfway through so far, and it seems like the plot follows the lives of people almost a year before an asteroid hits. i don't know anything about the whole yoo ah in drama, but i must say his acting in this is INCREDIBLE. that one scene where he comes back home to his fiance and his face is quivering with the inability to express both happiness and sadness at the same time... just AMAZING!!!! yoo ah in, ji chang wook and jung hae in— three actors that speak with their eyes. they dont even have to say a word for you to know what they're feeling.

In fact, any other random plot thread involving Yun Sang would have just ended up being yet another underdeveloped, nonsensical story to tell alongside the other couple of similarly shallow stories.

First of all, I heard that Yoo ah in was supposed to be the main focus for this series but got himself in a drug scandal and had his scenes cut off. So the focus shifted to ah yoon Jin’s character. For me, that was the beginning point for when the story got dull. (No offense), but I think it would be more interesting focusing the story on the kids than a middle school teacher who poorly plans revenge for her students.

Secondly, the plot is all over the place. It was so badly edited. But I get it since I heard that they started filming in 2022 and yoo ah in’s drug scandal happened in October 2023. So that must’ve been a freaking headache for the production team, to change the entire plot /focus of the story in a few months time. Maybe that’s why the plot is just all over the place.

Thirdly, this was the slowest kdrama I have ever watched, Do you know what I said after watching ep 1, That Was Too Long! Usually I don’t look at the time allocated in each episode but I found myself doing that in this series.

In conclusion, please director don’t put out a series if it was going to be rushed and badly made. Kdrama fans, stop spreading too much unnecessary hate as well. Like calm down, it’s not that serious. The world isn’t going to end if Koreans make one bad kdrama,

There are a lot of scenes that shows past then jump to the present that it confuses me. I sm trying to focus on each scene but its really not getting to the idea of what is happening. Rider Apr 27 2024 8:00 am This will be interesting. If ML Yoo was really erased because of his scandal - then the storyline has to fall on FL Ahn - who has shown she is a good actress - as well as the supporting actors - and the screenwriters and post production teams.

It is not uncommon for Kdramas to be finished just in time for airing, and judging from viewership ratings - changing the ending, or even extending or shortening the series. But to erase one whole main character right from the beginning? And after all the CGI?

Let's see how creative they can be.
