Plot

In this SBS revenge thriller, Jang Seo-Hee plays Ku Eun-Jae, a lady that was nearly killed by her husband Jung Kyo-Bin (Byeon Woo-Min). Her husband believes that Goo Eun-Jae did indeed die, but is astonished to meet this woman who looks identical to his former wife but with a completely different personality.

Thirdly Oct 26 2018 9:47 am This K-drama is as close to a Latin soap opera as it's going to get. In the traditional Latin drama, the main character goes through trials and tribulations for hundreds of episodes before ever finding some kind of happiness or peace. The bad guys are always 2-3 steps ahead of the good guys, and it's satisfying to see the bad guys get their dues.

All women can relate to one or all of the female characters, since there is a WIDE variety. There is the orphan who fights tooth and nail for success, but becomes too greedy and selfish. There is the kindhearted woman who suffered over a lifetime and ultimately becomes consumed with rage and revenge. There is the woman who is ruled by emotions and suffers from depression and anxiety, giving grief to everyone around her. Three mothers, one humble and maternal, one a classy businesswoman, and the other one spoiled. And then, there's the generally balanced and successful woman who is wise enough to survive and move on (shout out to Su-Bin, the most logical person in the entire drama with a good head on her shoulders).

Because of their flaws, their personalities were quite believable (even if the events were over the top). Everyone knows a man that is easily manipulated by women and is unfaithful. Everyone knows a shrewd woman who is so career-oriented that she neglects her family. Everyone knows a gentle woman who takes beatings and insults out of fear of losing her family or children.

But unlike reality, the characters end up getting what they want...and that's the whole point of a drama! We watch and get lost in the characters that manage to accomplish what we only wish we could. At only 30 minutes per episode, it's more like 60-something episodes even though the real count is 129.

After a lifetime of watching Latin dramas, this Korean one was surprisingly captivating. That is why I highly recommend giving it a shot.

Van Al May 02 2017 1:35 am I've already watch the drama before few years ago and I feel that I want to watch again. Honestly, the drama is pretty nice but at the same time hilarious with the plot and all. The cast did very well, they make made angry (the mother-in-law) and pity (eun jae). Anyways, though there were some too hard to believe twists well, it makes the story interesting, maybe the reason I want to watch the drama again. Peacexxx.

Well i found this drama really enjoyable. To those who don't like this, just stfu. If you don't like this kind of drama then don't watch it and give stupid comments about the storyline. So much conflicts in this drama and it's good to see Eun Jae/Soo Hee can finally get revenge to his ex-husband & ex-bestfriend Jung Gyo Bin & Shin Ae Ri. Heol. Those two are so annoying af. Especially Shin Ae Ri. Her character was a total snake. The story about Eun Jae's cruel life as Gyo Bin's wife give me so much moral values. Yeah! This drama can give you so much moral values if you watch it carefully. Hey, if you're k-drama lovers, you should at least watch this kind of drama. So many FAKE K-DRAMA LOVERS WHO ONLY WATCH K-DRAMA'S WITH HANDSOME GUYS. You guys must know that there are many dramas like this who can give you soooo much moral values. My advice is "Don't judge book by it's cover, Don't watch K-Dramas just because the lead role is Handsome." Even though the dramas has Handsome guys, doesn't mean the storyline is good. So, to those who only watch k-drama with such reason, you need to change it. Temptation of Wife was a great drama. The conflics are realistic, and can be found in our daily life. Sorry for the very long talking, his is just an opinion from a girl who like to share her thoughts. Once again, I warn you guys don't ever watch this drama if you don't like the storyline. At least, check out the reviews, synopsis, and such thing about the drama before you watch it and give shit comments!!

Rika Jan 06 2017 5:14 pm I don't understand, I mean why everybody doesn't understand Ku run jae/ soon hee character. It just that this is a story no need too serious, ku eun jae back as soo hee because she wants revenge on her husband and whos says that this is not logic, as director make eun jae character so weak at the beginning but with soo hee identity she gain a strong persona to be able withstand her stupid husband. And whos says that eun jae change to soo hee ( cannot differentiate the character) as what wikipedia says a controversial and plagriasm?? What a dumbass? And most people hate eun jae change too soo hee? No. This is just a story do not need too serious. Youll get migrain. In my opinion that this is the best revenge/ makjang drama ever aside from any drama nowadays who just plain boring and just talk nonsense. If u cannot withstand with the villain character then u better not watch this drama. If u havd a heart failure then better not watch it. I believe this is the only long drama in Korea that got 30-40% ratings in every episodes.

dees May 17 2016 8:16 am i had to stop watching reaching epi 68 - all stupid stuff are just too much to handle i can't believe i wasted 68 hrs watching this; the lead actress is too stupid wanting to remarry her ex husb who tried to kill her & unborn child! i know this must be a spoiler but just trying to help you guys not to waste your precious time watching this stupid story! then that evil woman who married her ex husb has not been prosecuted at all after stealing their gold bars & doing so many crooked things in this story! the writer must be out of her mind writing such unrealistic story!

geewiz May 15 2016 9:50 am this may be a spoiler but can't help it.....this started good but it's getting silly when she resurfaced as soo hee, if i were her my husb drowning me & i came to life bc of this gentle guy who is her savior? i'll go to the police & put him behind bars! that other fish face woman is one of the worst villains i've seen in kdramas! so spiteful & ungrateful to gu eunjae's family! so evil! however i'm continuing only bc i started it but can't help to say some of this story is very unrealistic i think! i only started watching coz of lead actress jang soo jee coz she's a good actress in most of the dramas i've seen of her

30 episodes is one too many to showcase pathetic people. Some of the characters were supposed to be educated people, including overseas educated. Eun-Jae deserved what she got as she chose to be treated like a doormat. The men. Oh! The men!. Still living with their parents! That's mummy's boy to the extreme.

This is the 21st century and if Korean society is still what had been portrayed, then it has to change, seriously. Someone should take the lead in changing attitude and mores of Korean society.

According to the preview, Eun-Jae did not die but resurfaced with a new personality but there is no need to have 30 episodes of showcasing pathetic behaviour. Audiences are intelligent enough to grasp the point without prolonged character development. We get it dude, Eun-Jae was a pathetic doormat! Meanwhile, the men were mummy boys, weak individuals who cannot leave home and live independently.

Dwaddle Apr 01 2013 8:44 pm The show started out great but drug on forever with fish face . She just looked so evil. Then min so-hee was brought back I thought there was just to much evil going on. Fish face and her were sisters in evil. I skipped several episodes because of that. When she climbed up on the fence I kept thinking push her on over.

When  the two got married I jumped down to the last part where evil one was drowning with her dum dum of a husband. I cheered she was gone. Lol

From the long suffering wife martyr, the mean Mother in Law, the moronic husband, the evil mistress .... need I go on ? I suppose the really are wacked out people like this in Korea....and the US too so oh well .... I did like the low IQ Aunt. She was hilarious.

Every Mistress is Called PINIRITONG (Fried) ISDA(Fish) as what Aunt Haneul (Named as Auntie Madel in the Filipino Dubbed Version) and Monster Mother in Law is Called Stella (Baek Mi-in,named as stella in teh Phil.) Oh my i almost explained a lot,its just that TOW is very popular here in the Philippines :D
