Jang Deuk-Cheon (Jung Jae-Young) is the chief of a crime squad. At home, he is kind and friendly father to his daughter. He meets a human clone and gets involved in a shocking case. A battle takes place between human clones.

Richard Jan 04 2023 10:16 pm Yang Se Jong did an amazing job with this drama, he actually acted 4 roles because he had to act as Sung Joon when he lost his memories and when Sung Joon had his memories. Not to mention, all 4 roles are different and distinct. This is extremely hard to pull off in such a short amount of time. Really nailed it! Honestly, without Yang Se Jong, I would have dropped this series. He truly deserves the name "Monster Rookie."

herry Dec 15 2021 7:27 pm watched it years ago and i actually don't remember it that much but all i can say is that i Liked it , i have no idea why but i remember myself in love with this drama , especially that Yang Sejong managed to act 3 different roles in one project and he Nailed it.

1. Chairman Park who thinks he has the right to the vaccine as he has the right to live and not die

2. Lee Jung Hoon who thinks he has the right to the vaccine as he suffers as an experimental "rat" those young days...every action he has done...he blames on others...even when he aim the gun to shoot at Jung Soon but only to have Dr Han aka Dr Ji made a U-turn to embrace Jung Soon and got the bullet instead...Jung Hoon continuously blames that on Jung Soon. Why should he has right to vaccine to live longer since he only blames everyone for anything that does not go his way... Live Longer so he can continue to blame the world?

3. Chairman Park's daughter who lies cheats just for that "heir-ship" / "chairman-ship" to succeed her father Chairman Park. Her pretentious and caring attitude towards her father and behind her father...she is scheming. Each time she apologies for her action...she is off to a new scheme. And when get caught by her father...1st thing is apologies, then scheming. I think she is the perfect match for Jung Hoon. Both would make the perfect "blame others" couple.

Hmmm...interestingly Ms Park hired someone to kill Dr Han only to fail Jung Hoon aims to kill Jung Soon but killed Dr Han Indeed Perfect Couple.

Watch this series because Jung Jae-Young is the actor and have watched him in Partners for Justice 1 and 2. Was hoping for 3.

Steph Apr 05 2021 7:57 am One of the most surprising drama. Every episode is so unpredictable. Yang Se Jong nailed it. I've known him in Dr. Romantic and Still 17 and someone recommend me to watch this drama. Since the first episode was really interesting and each episode is really surprising. You'll never know what will happens after each episode. I didn't expect yang se jong to be that great in action scene. I've saw him so adorable and cute in still17 but in this series he looks so different portraying three character with different personality. I couldn't believe how he made that. It was really amazing. Highly recommended. You won't regret it I swear.

I can’t find this drama on netfilx nor viu in my country, and I really wonder why they don’t have this amazing drama. Sejong Oppa’s roles and acting are really amazing. The plot is amazing. I don’t understand why this drama is so underrated? People should watch it.

Now I can't take my eyes off him... looking and binge-watching all of his drama. Hope to see more from him after he discharged from his military duty.

I feel the last few ending episodes were a bit too rush and wishes they should have 20 episodes instead of 16. Yang SeJong is really amazing actor. I can’t take my eyes off him and he portrayed the three different characters brilliantly. The little girl who plays as Soo Yeon is also marvellous. I cried a lot feeling sung hoon pain. Can’t wait to see Yang SeJong in other series! So impressed with his skills.

This k-drama delivered a good screen play and story line. Congrats to the team. I hope to see more of like this in the future. The main charactor especially Yang Se-jong who have to play 3 charactors are so great acting. One thing that I think it can improve is the last episode when the sanyoung company is arrested. It looks a bit quick.

I honored dat i can watch A big great acting from Yang Se-Jong who play 3 character at one time. Dis drama make us to think really hard but is so lit. i give a score 9.9 only less than 0.1 to be perfect bcz i cant cry at all, many scene dat touch my deep heart but i cant feel nothing. Jang Deuk Cheon or Suyeon's appa is really greattt acting but for me he cant show to us what the emotion so dat made me cant cry :(. But, sure if u like a villain drama is really worth to watch

Despite that, I came to like series with how the story progresses until I came to know that is something related to "clones" and it really got my attention. Searched for it in the net, watched it from episode 1 until the end. And all I can say is, "It is an Amazing New Drama Series" ---an action, medical, thriller..... I Love It! ❤ Duel is ❤

Yang Se-jong played a superb and very satisfactory performance in playing 3 characters.....kudos with that! ❤ Se-jong, saranghae ? And also, I would like to commend every actors, crews in making this series the best it could be by working together, good job everyone! ??

Usually handsome actors and actresses only get popular for their look and tend to take same safe roles. And never go beyond other genre. But having watched Yang se jong from Dr Kim days to 30 but 17...im so amazed at his acting. he can play arrogant doctor, villain, victimized person, display depressed emotion, scared, fear, traumatized, lovely sweet, clumsy, silly, crying and still nail the emotion and makes people absorb in his character.

The atress Kim Jung Eun really cannot act at all. She act like she read lines from script or reading. Her face shows no emotion and her face is disturbing to see with her plastic surgery nose and stretched upper lips. Considering she is a veteran...i dont think her acting is good.

San7 Sep 05 2018 5:39 am This drama is underrated, you guys need to watch it as soon as you can, don't even think about it twice. Yang Se-Jong's acting is superb, he did beyond amazing job playing 3 characters, I can't even describe his amazing acting skills by words. He played each character perfectly to a point i suspected that these characters are 3 real persons and not just one :o Highly recommended, everything about this drama is 10/10.

For a rookie actor, he has showed a very excellent job in portraying two very different roles. If ever I don't know anything about the casts then I'd probably thought that sejong has a twin brother. Jaeyoung (detective) really did an excellent job to as an actor. I can really see the love of a father to his daughter. I was amaze how perfect this drama is.

Acting wise, 10/10 Plot, 10/10 Actually 10 is not enough to rate this drama. Because I felt a lot of emotions here. You definitely have to this drama.

Is this worth to rewatch? Definitely YES!

Well, i watched her drama for the first time back to 2000, and that's the way she acts, with her eyes wide open all the time. A lil bit annoying, to be honest. But it has nothing to do with contact lens. She is a veteran, but she simply cannot do acting as her performance has not improved at all

PLEASE give up the contact lens, please. I instantly know who's wearing them due to the lack of expression. Those actresses who don't wear them are MUCH better talents!

Is the character have a disease or what? Is the character are possesed by ghost? Gosh she seems scary not like human at all. Feel like wanna give up this drama when i see her.

mcon Jan 02 2018 12:31 am Really loved this drama! I watched Se Jong on Temperature of Love (and didn't realised that he was also on Romantic Doctor! His visual there is way too diff on Duel & TOL lol) and since he got my eyes on that drama, I'm going to marathon his dramas. OCN never fails me! It's so intense and the plot is amazing!

I hope Se Jong will have more opportunities in the future. On this drama, he is really good as a rookie actor. :)

I have just finished watching the drama. Seriously one of the best crime, mystery drama i have ever watched... Really love sunghoon n sungjoon character here... Kudos to yang se jong for doing such a great job... Cant believe he is only a rookie actor... As for the ending, I have to say it was the most logical ending thou it is sad that sunghoon died... I mean he is such a pitiful character... He deserve happiness... N the fact he has to die after finally knowing the truth n accepting his brother.... He died saving sungjoon n the sadest part was when he mouthed sungjoon's name before he died.. It is also sad that sungjoon wasnt able to keep his promises for his brother twice.. Both sungjoon n sunghoon deserve happiness... Im glad at least sungjoon is always surounded with good people. As for mi rae n sungjoon, I dont think they would fall in love... I mean wouldnt it be weird since sungjoon has the same dna as her father, mi rae and sungjoon dna would definately 99.9 percent match... But they would make a good sibling pair tho...

Sung Joon and Sung Hoon were portrayed very well (as in the character's personalities don't seem diff. after each episode). From the first episode I was already amazed at how different they are. YANG SE JONG DAEBAK !!

The ending is beutiful yet painful ending. The more you watch it the more you will amaze by it's plot and yang sejong's acting. Highly recommend! I give perfect score for this drama

Tram Jul 31 2017 6:00 pm Absolutely riveting drama! It kept me on my toes from beginning to end. It is a must watch for fans of crime/mystery dramas. I just finished it and I'm still shook and sobbing my heart out. I don't think I have ever loved and had my heart ache so much for a psychopathic "bad guy." Yang Se Jong's acting is absolutely phenomenal. He flawlessly pulls off all 3 characters. A lot of people criticized the female prosecutor and gave up in the first few episodes because of her but I can tell you now that's how her character is; her acting is not a problem. You'll see as the story pans on. That's five stars from me!

Srsly I really love yang sejong's acting. He deserves an award for this. He makes us cry with his amazing characters. He even can acted two different characters in one time. But I can't move on... Why must Lee sung hoon died.. I cried so much at that part... He shouldn't died... I want a happy ending for him aaaah he deserves the happiness too... He has suffered so much.. I want to stay by his side he's all alone... actually what I want is both of them Lee sung hoon and Lee sung joon to be alive and spend time together forever but... Lee sung hoon was died....i can't accept this actually... DrKimSaBoo Jun 27 2017 8:59 am @Eskimo.....I also feel that this is kinda like Romantic Doctor especially when Ryu Mi Rae's mother appear in the flashback....the actress of that is a nurse in Romantic Doctor....and now...she is still a nurse in this Drama Duel...How funny it is...the only person left to appear that i want to appear is either Park Eun Tak which is Kim Min Jae ( I hope it happens but not possible bcuz of his drama "The Best Hit") and Doctor Kim Sa Boo himself Dr Boo Yong joo hahahaa xD

Nana Jun 27 2017 6:54 am I am loving this drama! The only gripe I have is the Prosecutor's character/acting. I know she's supposed to oppose to intensify the conflict, and she'll probably end up coming around once she sees the two Lee Sung Joon/Hoon. But, she's too blood thirsty with her acting. Other than that...the story is amazing. I love this thriller! I can't wait to see it unravel.

It can be like you said, the dead body distribute his organ. But, I dont really sure. because, I think His organ was given to other patient. maybe patient in the list?

or can it be that the doctor is the guy in the lab and his organs were distributed to sung joon, but then what about sung hoon? OMG I'm confused af... I can't even guess their identity even though I can kind of see what is going on...

I ship these two though they might be having a blood relationship in this drama... but idc, i ship them ;)

P.S. Love how Lee Song Joon can stitch up wounds with master hands just like Do In Bom in RDTK.

The coincidence/implication is just to funny and amazing.

Gongyoo Jun 12 2017 3:15 am So far, the storyline of the drama is good and going interesting. Only thing that is spoiling the drama is Kim Jung Eun's acting. I used to like her a lot before but I don't know why her acting is so bad in this one. Her eyes have no expression, sometimes they even seem to pop out the socket. Maybe after her pregnancy, she did some botox and face lifting for a comeback and went bit too far.

Only his third role and all three have been so prominent-as the competing second young doc Do In Beom in Romantic Dr Kim, young Lee Gyeom AND the Chinese character fluent neighborhood teaching volunteer PhD candidate at the modern era forefront in Saimdang, and now second lead in Duel... Whoever manages or found him, bravo on catching such a great looking kid with a natural set of mannerisms in all three characters I have watched so far... What a curious subject/theme to this, too, to follow Tunnel!
