Veronica Nov 04 2025 4:41 am Norik BC I used to be sceptical too at first. And feeling uncomfortable with the homosexuality topic being pushed to Korean Dramas. But after you give this drama more episodes they barely mention about the homosexuality itself and more valuable life lesson is portrayed by some great characters like Dan Chi Gam and his nephew Dan Deung Myung.. ❤❤

Durian Best Fruit Apr 12 2025 11:30 am Who ever wrote this story is... indeed a lunatic! This plot will not cross any similar kdrama plot in the mext 10000 years!! It's crazy how it starts and how it ends. You can never guess what happen next, but you just can't stop watching. The drama is insanely good and also ridiculous for some reasons. It's odd from the very beginning but if you keep watching, it just get really really good!! It starts with a secret of the oldest daughter in law being revealed when many sad things are happening back in ancient time. Shit gets real at the lunar eclipse. You will start to see the time lapses are getting mixed and everything becomes unclear. You won't be able to understand the order of the scenes. You feel like everything is so ambiguous and getting real messy. But thatbis the point, keep watching. You will start to see similar things from the past and modern story but somehow, it's not connected. Don't worry, because it will never be connected! Anyways, it's a good show. I wish it is 50 episodes long because the flow is so slow. Ending is so rush and the mystery remain unsolved, only if there is another season!

Bailaohu Jan 02 2025 2:14 pm Absolutely love it! Bravo to the entire cast. Kudos to the writer of this show. Totally unexpected in a Kdrama - bizarre but hilarious. Love the main modern day family, the interaction of the sons with their mother. Especially the youngest son's character. Felt a little bit sorry for him - in the previous life he was cuckolded and in the present modern day life he was also cuckolded as his girlfriend (later wife) was sleeping with someone else. Overall a very enjoyable show. My favourite character is the modern day mother, matriarch of the family and also the housekeeper (turned shaman). Also a special mention to the wife of the eldest son who is obsessed over her mother in law. Well done!

Park Min May 01 2024 1:39 pm I don't how I feel about the on-screen text. There's distinct level of absurdity and abnormality that's easily recognizable from a certain Korean writer, that is Im Sung Han. From writing the characters, constructing the narrative and story boarding, all felt quite familiar to her other shows, Apgujeong Midnight Sun (2014) & Miss Mermaid (2002) in particular. However, this drama is unfortunately one of her unsuccessful ones. I didn't like the direction she took with the drama. The women from Joseon were an interjection into the Dan's family, they were more like a support characters observing the surrounding and getting accustomed to living. The entire story was stagnant for 15 episodes after their initial introduction and only the last episode brought some change but it was too late. The story went through the bare minimum of characters exploration and made the Joseon women existence more useless. If anything, it reminded me of the bizarre storylines transitions and conclusion of Miss Mermaid (2002), really close when drawing parallels. On a second thought, although I'm a fan of the writer but I don't quite agree with how she writes the last few episodes of her projects.

Ran Aug 26 2023 7:52 am This Drama is annoyingly good. I guess they wouldn't have season 2, its just an open ending, but maybe a little bit rush.

If in my opinion from the ending it seems Seo jo didn't end up with DM. On the award ceremony she have her seemingly 2/3 years old son gave her flower and DM was watching her from his car, crying (?). So I assume DM ends up with ayla.

The MIL got dementia because Chigam went missing with RiAhn to the past where they run away together (?), but it showed the Karmic for MIL due to her past sin killed Chigam. So now she misses him but won't be able to see him again, its worsen her health and cause stress she got dementia?? I mean, aside of because her husband went missing too. (This is big question mark for me. I mean is it because of him there will be season 2??? Since there is no reason whatsoever he needs to went back to the past too!!)

Anyway i hate the character of the first DIL so much. Selfish and hypocrite. Also Ayla. They make better pair of MIL and DIL together, I pity her husband and Deungmyeung for getting them as partner. Sighed.

I understand the scene jumps and the rushed ending don’t make sense to a lot of people, but if you watched Love ft. Then you’ll get that this is just the writer’s style. I personally enjoyed this drama and feel they left the ending open for a possible season 2, depending on how much the audience asks for it.

mmeellxx Aug 17 2023 9:20 am Ok so I was just as confused as many of you - but this is not trash by any means. You do not need to always be spoon fed everything. There is an opportunity for season 2 - if that happens we will probably learn more about the females on the family. What I had a difficult time doing was slowing down when we were back on Joseon time. Life moved at a much slower pace than what we are used to. It will be interesting to see Dol Seo and Joo Nam adjust to that lifestyle.

I understood this way: Dan Chi-Gam and Du Ri-An have gone to the past, thanks to the proper condition that was created with the eclipse and that rock, So-Jeo and her husband live a happy life in this world, Baek Do-Yi has received her punishment for her past life, same for Dan Chi-Jung, cursed to live without children. The rest of the characters are only to fill the story with craziness. End of story.

Her favorite son whom she killed in the past is gone. She is basically left with her son that she’s always protected. Seo jo and her husband live happily ever after, all the other characters in the end got what they deserved

Mary Aug 14 2023 4:34 am I'm not sure what to feel since i had high hopes to the ending. All episodes are moving very slowly then suddenly at the last part it became too fast! I anticipated chi jung's ending, the mother in law took me by surprised but considering of what happened it kinda make sense (2 important guys in her life suddenly vanished). Im not sure if theres gonna be a s2 since the ending was soo rush and already given away the characters karma but still we need to know what happened to other characters! This drama has so much potential. I just wish they stretch it until 20eps if ever they're not gonna make an s2. Still hoping that this cliffhanger ending is a premonition of s2

The two braided pigtails at the end did justice for the past life and current life, so live a life without eccentricity, otherwise, you will end up braiding pigtails one day. Are So-Jeo aware of Du Ri An's dissapearance? How Ayla react to that? What about Eun Sung? Did she know her husband is missing? And mostly,the entire family (present) did not know the whole story that connected to the past... Dissapointing ending. The writter can make a good plot instead fill it with unimportant long dialouge in some eps.

ella Aug 13 2023 10:38 am I love the drama, and of course another best acting for choi myung gil. Everything she does is superb, but I just hate Semi's storyline. I hate shows who gave a lesbian/gay storyline then don't pursue it at all, why gave it in the first place. It's like giving a kid a candy then take it back. And the kind of storyline that they gave Semi was too complicated something that people can't comprehend with, falling in love with her mother-in-law, giving her a bad image to the audiences. If they're giving a character a complicated story they need to partnered it with a bright quality to it but instead they're pushing all her buttons. ? so tired with this kind of thinking when it comes to lgbtq stories, too many broken stories.

I just want to see So Jeo and Deung Myung end up together and also Du RI An and Chi Gam. Those duo are so lovely together. Ayla is so annoying and immature, desperate to be married and that hell of a wife Eun Sung who gives no attention to her husband and wants all of his love and attention like how does that work?!!!

Btw, I’m annoyed at how persistent Semi is with forcing her feelings onto Do Yi especially since she married her son and have a son together with him. Like it’s weird, I get that she can’t help how she feels but the feelings have to be mutual too..

Also I love Ju Nam and Do Yi together. While she is 30 years older, it doesn’t feel that way just because of how mature they both are. Ju Nam is so sweet and I can’t be happier for for him. Man knows what he wants and went for it with a full heart. Do Yi has also lived her life by being a good person and deserves to be loved and not feel lonely. She was married once and was widowed for a long time. While yes, her kids are always around but it’s different from the love you receive from your husband or wife.

Would love to see more of Eon and So Jeo though. Clearly he feels the same as her and I hope that he will end things with Ayla before things get more complicated. Her character is getting more annoying each episode…

Please give us season 2!!!! Would love for this to go on for as long as Love feat. Marriage & Divorce!

I enjoyed the convo between JuNam and DoYi. They found comfort in each other despite the age gap. Ju Nam is such a gentleman. No wasting of time. That's the way it should be man!

I liked that they both decided not to know each other's background just yet :))

Can't imagine Se Mi going bonkers and be tearing her hair when Do Yi drops the bomb! Lol And JuNam will soon find out that he has hit the Jackpot :D

From Princess Aurora, she has cemented her reputation with crap but engaging stories, but look at me, I'm enjoying this than King The Land. I'm so twisted. ahhahaha

You would not have what to talk about, maybe only the interminable tea conversations, but it is full of crazy and ridiculous people. A grandmother who runs away from her age wanting to be forever young, a daughter-in-law who is in love with the grandmother, another daughter-in-law who has a questionable approach to her dog (yah), and three insipid males who are there to fill the screen. An idea has come to my mind while writing this. Maybe the writer wanted to put face to face the good sense of the past time with the craziness of our times.

Loved the story telling or presentation style , keeping few scenes to audience imagination making this drama more interesting. I've watched the last 6 episodes on 1.3 speed and it's still unbearably uneventful. The whole monologue from dog mother to her husband was just everlasting. The daughter in law forcing herself on her mother-in-law in the hospital seemed to last hours. There's so many insignificant cutscenes (brother closing the toilet lid at his mother's house) that make everything feel even slower.

There are many inconsistencies too. Sometimes a scene is revealed as imagination, but then in the next episode another character remembers that same fantasy.

We're in episode 10 and the two leading ladies have barely progressed or adapted. In a way, they are genuinely just housekeepers to the story.

I'm most involved in the grandmother of the family. She is an amusing and heartwarming character and I'm curious to learn what caused the discrepancy between her now versus in the Joseon era. She is the only inconsistency so I hope the writers did that on purpose.

I hoped they'd start rounding up plotlines rather than adding new ones, but now it seems they're also adding dog mom's hospitalized mother.

   Still don't get the Dog relationship????   Maid did suggest adoption. That made a lot of sense to help someone else in the world instead of a dog.

this is my first time watching a historical people time travel to the future. usually, time travel always went to the past. even the title itself is very unique!

i'm hoping this drama will not give us a sad ending. i've been loving durian's affair! it's worth my time watching this drama.

The first three episodes was a drag and too many repetitive flashbacks which was such a waste of screen time! I almost dropped this drama but decided to continue...episode 4, 5, 6 was !!!

Can't wait for what's to come next!
