Kang San-Hyeok (Park Hae-Jin) is a member of the 119 special rescue team. He is handsome and smart, but he does not remember his childhood. Jung Young-Jae (Cho Bo-Ah) is an enthusiastic surgical resident.

Kang San-Hyeok and Jung Young-Jae meet at a mysterious forest. Even though they do not want to, they must live together in the mysterious forest. Living there, they discover small pleasures. Kang San-Hyeok and Jung Young-Jae soon uncover a secret about themselves and the forest.

Mez Jan 04 2025 7:53 am I have watched close to 200 k-dramas, but this is the first one I'm dropping, I tried very hard to hang in there and finish it but it's impossible for me. I do like the lead actors in their other works though. This is the second drama I have ever disliked, the other being Boys over Flowers but at least I finished that one. Forest is making it hard for me to enjoy my wind down time after a long day of work. I feel bad but it is what it is...

Park Min Jun 06 2023 6:31 pm The entire drama and the main couple's relationship was built entirely around bonding over their each others trauma. Not necessarily bad but it felt it was purposely designed that way to manipulate the viewers' emotions forcefully. This was pretty obvious from the very beginning with how they portrayed and handled the female lead's boyfriend. You would fell for their trap if you were a newcomer. The music choices were odd and mostly cheap, in addition, the dubstep soundtrack was completely unfitting. Anyway, if it wasn't for the forestry scenery then the drama wouldn't have had much to offer. Throwing in two attractive leads together isn't enough anymore.

deliriouslin May 28 2023 9:40 am Overall this is a romantic drama where Park Hae-Jin and Jo Bo-Ah started off as haters and eventually falling for each other. Kind of cliche but the backdrop in a forest and fire is interesting, you'll learn something out of it.

sooman Oct 14 2020 7:43 pm to be honest, i did think that this drama was boring at first. but the more i watch, the more i like. san hyeok and young jae were kinda sweet + cringe. and i love bomi and choi chang's chemistry. this drama ended with happy ending. everyone were happy except the criminals. and they also healed with their past memory. im kinda ship park hae jin and jo bo ah.

The drama was promising at the start if they only focus with the character development of Sang Hyeok and Jo Bo Ah. If the script concentrated in healing both of their inner child traumas, the story would be much better.

But nope all we got here is the "mysterious forest" where there is nothing mysterious at all but bad villains who got away from their misdeeds for 20 years LMAO

The only think I like in this drama is the OST and sometimes the awkward cute acting of Park Hae Jin LOL

Also the setting was really amazing and absolutely fit to the storyline. It is also my first time to watch the girl in this drama and she is so pretty and have good chemistry with PHJ. Great work.

Xylune Apr 07 2020 5:30 pm First of all: I liked it. I have no idea why the summaries always concentrate on Kang San Hyeok being part of the rescue team though. He is later on indeed, but first of all he's a rather "crude" business man who is willing to do a lot to achieve his goal. So though he stayed with them at the end it didn't feel to be as important as the summary indicates. There are these cute scenes, one of the best kissing scenes I've watched so far (the first one here) and some understandable conflicts (which is rare in my opinion). The protagonists are able to reflect on their doings and Park Hae Jin portraits a slightly ruthless, but somehow likeable male lead character considering how he balances out his actions and knows his limits still. Even I wondered how things are going to be wrapped up and if it's about revenge, love or business. In the end they had a development and I felt it is nice to have characters that are neither good or bad necessarily. What I found a bit weird was about "forgiving the parents who tried to kill her". Even if they suddenly went for a different solution they still attempted family suicide. Some topic that keeps on occurring in Korean Dramas I guess, but some still seem to show too much "understanding" for it, sort of tolerating it if you're in debt. That's sad, but probably some part of the mentality. Japanese stories show similar results here. I think this matter still has to be overcome - and personally I don't think that everything can be accepted. Same with mothers abandoning their children (happens here, happens elsewhere too). It feels like in South Korea you can just leave your kid at the bus stop and run away without facing the consequences. That makes me sad as well as it happens over and over in these dramas... Anyway, it's a likeable drama about finding peace in mind after going back to nature. Worth watching it I guess.

For me this was beautifully done..it has a right balance of romance and plot twists that will keep you guessing how will the dilemma be solved.. I watched this without much expectation and because of Park hae jin.. I was surprised that he has chemistry with her female lead.. And the story was told and directed well.. Again, another great rom com from my fave Park hae jin

I’m confused on the phasing or transition of some scenes. For example, the scene where Choi Jung Mok hit KSH with a brick(?) and the episode ended, then on the next episode, it wasn’t a big dea? Like you can even sue someone which that attempt and his head was bleeding.

Besides that, I like the psychiatric experience/lessons that we can learned here. Facing your fears and such.

I am also happy to see how versatile the acting of PHJ here. He was finally to show his ordinary guy side. He was able to portray different characters here. Thank you

Vei Apr 03 2020 3:06 am JBA: 1st time watching her drama. And as ppl said, her acting is big no for me. Actually she represented her character. She's pretty, bright, and cheerful, but the way she acted didn't look real at all. And it ruined the chemistry between her and PHJ. They're sweet but i don't feel any chemistry between them. And she's also too young to become a specialist doctor. She's not that young tho, but her baby face made her looks so young lol. I prefer someone mature like park ha sun, park minyoung, or im soo hyang. JYJ: she's so funny omg. NGS: i cant believe that this is his first appearance on drama. Great job!

Isha Mar 24 2020 5:55 pm I love the male lead. I don't know why I feel the female characters aren't represented as strong women. In this case, i try watching 1-2 episodes per day, but fail to. I feel the doctor portrayal isn't properly done. Surgeons after clearing so many exams and practising on hundreds of patients during residency get used to the tense situations. In this drama, the female lead surgeon acts like she is still in medical college haven't gone through any exams yet. The only thing I do not like about Kdramas is how they portray the female doctors.

too bad you couldn't wrap up party due to the coronavirus attack. there's social distancing, no group events, etc.

i will miss seeing you on TV. but hope you make a new movie and Kdrama again this year.

I know a lot of ppl find this story is not that good, thats why it is under rated, but for me, as long as the pairs have the great chemistry, okay for me to watch! Would recommend but if it suit your taste

I am desperately waiting for four men but the filming was stopped and cancelled because of many issues. I am so devastated that it did not air because Man to man was so long ago.
