"Beautiful Love Wonderful Life" follows four people as they seek love and happines.

Kim Seol-A (Jo Yoon-Hee) worked as an announcer in her past. She is ambitious and she is married to Do Jin-Woo (Oh Min-Suk). He is the CEO of a company.

Moon Tae-Rang (Yoon Park) is a chef. He is the oldest brother from a family that consists of adoptees.

Moon Hae-Rang (Jo Woo-Ri) is Moon Tae-Rang's younger sister. She works as a secretary for Do Jin-Woo.

Jung Ah Jung May 08 2024 10:37 am There are some very unlkeable characters in this drama. A couple that I think are so terrible, you can't stand them. The episodes are short even though it is long. Stick with it and you will be happy with how it goes. The end makes it all worth it.

Min Dec 30 2023 9:28 am I really hate the mother and Cheong Ah at first and now I still do it, the mother is selfish and Cheong Ah is the one who does not have any intention for her ownlife. She is 19 not 1 year old, how can she give s.o else the permission to decide what she should do and her family situation is not good too she has to know that and try to help it to be better. And idk why but Seolah's attitude is completely right, I can partly understand it. When you ar3 poor, you dont have anything, you have to try to get it better and try hard to do it. In fact her purpose is not bad just the way she does it is not good. And Jinwoo's love for her is not bad too, I can understand it and I really look up to it too

After 3 month of happy marriage "or that what Seol A thought" she get finally pregnant and she knew that while her husband jin woo in a trip she wanted to tell him the news so bad that she went in a 3 hours car trip to meet him in another city But guess what men are men She wasn't able even to talk so without let him know that she were there she left him with his new secretary in one bedroom Without think twice she was on tae rang door crying The next morning the doctor told them that she's fine but she lost the baby 2 days later jin woo back to home to find it empty called his wife and all of his family in law to ask but no one answered his calls so he called joon hwi who ignored him as well so he finally called tae rang who answered his call and tell him that his wife in the hospital cuz she lost their baby There she told him what she saw and told him to never come back 3 years later tae rang who was next to Seol A day after day he finally want to ask her for a date at that specific day he knew that his little brother pa rang is dating yeon A He already had lost 2 siblings before "cuz hae rang can't handle it and becomes jin woo's mistress he's married for another wealthy lady who's gonna support his company" and ofc shi wol as a result So he didn't wanna lose pa rang as well but the first word came out of Seol A's mouth so he explained everything for her and she still didn't mind it So after 6 years of last episode Seol A and tae rang are married with 2 gorgeous kids Cheong A and joon hwi didn't get any kids but they adopted 2 little sisters in the town Yeon A and pa rang are engaged and planning to get married within 3 months Sadly joon ik was killed by a thief and shi wol promised him not to leave there house ever again so do hae rang which is finally fall in love with someone who loves her Finally jin woo he nearly lost everything after his wife knew about his cheating and live with his mother who own nearly nothing as well

Charles Pizzutelli Jr Oct 31 2022 7:10 pm One of the dumbest things in Korean dramas was more than evident in this one. Every time Joon Hwi appears he is wearing a different overcoat. And as the series progresses the same applies to Chang Ah, who has little money and can’t afford such a habit. I catch myself waiting for the next instance rather than paying attention to the story itself. Very distracting.

Park Min Oct 13 2022 9:29 am Well, it's obvious for everyone that Do Jin Woo is the worst part about this drama, every second Jin Woo appeared on screen it felt revolting. In fact, you may include Jin Woo and Seol Ah plot line as a whole in general. I highly doubt anyway would like Seol Ah ending. It's daylight robbery for what they did to Tae Rang and Seol Ah. It simply doesn't make sense. Looking at what the writer did to Jin Woo and Seol Ah plot line and looking at her previous works, I'm starting to see a pattern. The writer seems to be too infatuated with the idea of forcing wives and cheating ex-husbands to get back together rather than moving on throughout a handful of her previous writing projects. Is it safe to assume it's a reflection of her own life?

It's not like the drama didn't have other problems. The drama was interesting for the first few episodes prior to the 9-years time skip, it gave off promising vibes with good build up then became utterly soulless, monotone and even got hit with a massive downgrade in overall quality. Maybe about 90% of the drama was uneventful, things kept going in circles with little to zero progression. The writing was straight up bad and inconsistent. Some parts you can notice the writer is trying to create some logic but most of the time the writer end up doing the exact opposite. Most of the side stories were weak due to the lack of investment in liking any character, since none of them stands out anyway. This also made the size of the cast feel smaller than it is.

The ending as well was flat, lukewarm and lacked a meaningful conclusion to any character. Chung Ah and Joon Hwi ending was too quick, while the other characters got a "whatever bs" kind of ending. It's really a shame what this drama ended up being since the beginning was too good, a massive bait and switch tactic.

If you can't stand single digit IQ characters then you should avoid this drama. 2.5/10

Actors/actresses amazingly very good that kept the drama going and interesting. Special attention to Lee Taesun...he has good timing on his delivery of his dialog and facial expressions. Acting in this drama is the best so far...no over and no less. I'm very happy with the story...love it! Thank you!

richa Mar 23 2020 11:52 am i think that for a fan of sad korean dramas with sad ending like (sad love story , i'm sorry i love you ....)the end of the relationship between seol ah and taerang is good even though i wanted a happy ending for the two of them(being together i mean) . but i wanted this ending to be showed with another side : taerang who loves seolah so much decideded to let go of seol ah because he know that their relationship will be painful for the two families kim and mung families and for seolah career because we know that the divorcees suffer a lot in our world. but the ending proposed by the writer didn't show this side of true love from taerang which make it appear us a loser and selfish guy thinking only about his family

what can I say about this drama...the story and the plots are interesting however the screenwriters have rushed the ending...I usually don't skip parts in a drama especially of there are 100 episodes. After episode 98, I just skip Seol Ah parts I was extremely disappointed in her character...she married Jin U because of his money, even though he has changed and showed another aspect of his personality, it was too late in my opinion. Seol Ah started to love Tae Rang, not her ex-husband she was worried that's doesn't make her love her ex-husband, she took care of him...the screenwriters decided to give another shot to Jin U (what was the point of the one-month dating to have a clean break up???- Tae Rang was not selfish and erased himself from the picture. I bet if at the hospital while they were in a coma the doctors found out Hae Rang was pregnant, the story would have taken another turn...Jin U would have been forced to stay with Hae Rang...Seol Ah and Tae Rang belong together!

But have u guys think about those 9 years? She never realized during those time they spent together, she loves her husband. Even when Jin U wake up from coma, he always search for Seol Ah. Especially when he cried at home and said sorry to Seol Ah in front of his mom, best scene ever (I was crying while watch that scene). By giving that 1month time, she realized something. It is true that Team Jin-Woo would be happy if Jin-Woo and Seol-A got back together, but I don't think it makes sense for those who have followed Seol-A's transformation into a mature woman. Well, thanks to Tae-Rang who made it happen, yet at the end, it is Jin-Woo who takes the credit. It is not fair anyway, but a lot of things in life are not fair, and this drama is an example of it :-) So when they decided to twist the plot (as well as the ending), I prefer previous dramas on its slot, such as My Only One, Mother of Mine, and Marry Me Now :-) which kept on track and were not affected by rating and sponsors

I watch it on dramacool.eu or fastdrama.me It is a long drama but I think of it as 50, 1 hour episodes and now there are 6, 1 hour episodes left. Most long dramas lose steam toward the end and make me lose interest. But with this drama, it just gets better and better and more interesting each week. The story has a very interesting plot and storyline. The actors and actresses are great and portray their characters so well. There are lighthearted and funny moments and then there are sad moments that pull at your heart. The writer and director have done a great job of portraying the growth and character development and life journeys of the main leads... kim cheong ah, gu jun hwi, mun tae rang, kim seol ah and do jin woo. The drama has a deeper message as portrayed through the journeys of the characters. Many of the lines and dialogue that the characters say speak volumes as to what their character is really feeling and thinking which is why each scene in the drama and each dialogue is so important to understanding the characters and why they do what they do. It is a really enjoyable drama.

I really enjoy watching the love story between Joon Hwi and Cheong Ah. It has a really interesting storyline. It does seem long when you see that it is 100 episodes. But I look at it as fifty 1 hour episodes. Hope you give the drama a chance. The actors/ actresses do a great job.

Jinwoo was cheating on seolah for TWO YEARS (thats what seolah suspected and he didnt deny that claim). Though the flashbacks only show the elevator scene of haerang and jinwoo, his mother kept referencing that they would go on business trips together often-- hence the affair. YES, he cheated because haerang told him he loved her and seolah deprived him of that. AND YES, maybe if seolah had returned his love he wouldn't cheat. BUT not being loved by your wife is NOT an EXCUSE to cheat. He is STILL in the wrong for cheating despite the fact that we do feel he is a bit pitiful. Marriage is a contract of faith and trust. Do I want to them to get back together? At some points, YES. but, he just pulled her out of every reporter opportunity which is NOT what he should be doing. So right now, no I don't want them back. But I also don't think taerang is the best option. He's the brother of the homewrecker and everyday will be a reminder of that. Taerang is too sweet for his own good and I really wanted him to be selfish for once, but man he's just such a good guy. If Jinwoo could fix his ways and not do things that would hurt seolah anymore and maybe even try to cut his toxic mother (at least move out or something, HE'S 40 years old WHY IS HE ACTING LIKE A CHILD) then maybe maybe they could work out. but im still mad at him for cheating.

Well, once a cheater always a cheater it may be right but the reason he did that was because Seol-A never ever say “i love you” to him which is made him really upset. More than that, as soon as he back to live, their marriage is no more. I know it’s because of his evil mom and Seol-A was really did her best for their marriage while Jinwoo in coma. I mean, people make mistakes, but what Jinwoo had given Seol-A was way more than what she deserves.

Seol-a was shallow and cared only about herself and money but now I see that she cares about her family and realizes life is not just about money. She has actually grown to be a good, independent person. I appreciate how Tae Rang has helped Seol-a become a better person but don't see them together. I didn't like Jinwoo because he cheated on his wife and don't condone what he did but I want to give him a chance because he truely cares for Seol-a. I think they should have a second chance together. The evil mother-in-law and Hae Rang I will never never care for. I think Hae Rang is the true evil and cannot stand her.

Love the drama of every one else except for Seol Ah...I thought she is a strong woman of virtuous character, who believed in marriage and trying to get what she wanted in life, but most especially a compassionate person. Maybe I just feel sorry for Jin Woo, because he messed up. It goes to show that Seol Ah really did not love Jin Woo, because if she did, she would forgive Jin Woo and start anew...after all what does it mean by 'for better or worse til death do us part'. Jin Woo's was right, Seol Ah did not love her son and she is trying to sway her son from getting back with Seol Ah, but then again, she is obsessively controlling and that can really hurt Jin Woo. What makes me like this drama now is only the part with Cheong Ah and the other characters. Seol Ah seems to be falling for Tae Rang and just seeing the scenes has gotten me skipping their parts. She is like just any other woman and not a lady. Ladies are like Empress Qi who suffered and proved her strength, love, devotion, and intelligence, who made a change and the difference to mark it is like to be a real lady.

saranghae Dec 09 2019 10:09 am very disappointed i had a long wait for this drama to start cz i dumped the previous mother of mine early on by about epi 20 and im here in the same predicament just finished epi 14 and im saying au revoir, ciao, sayonara, hasta la vista baby to this drama it didnt live up to the high expectations of this super stellar cast theres nothing for me to continue with this this writer should be really inexperienced or utterly stupid to not understand that the quality of kdramas production is incredible competitive that they need to make every epi interesting so viewers will come back for more terribly disappointed with kbs2 this is 2 in a row

I feel sorry for him yet I hate him at the same time lol. I want them to stay together just so the Mistress loses. Hea rang is so bold to sleep with another woman husband then confront seol ah like she is in the right. And jin woo's mother needs to lose everything and have to grovel and apologize to seol ah.

How horrible his life must be but he still loves his mother although she has made his life a living hell. Just like Seol-Ah that treated her family like an obstacle of her success in the past, somehow I want Seol-Ah also forgive him just the way her sister forgave her and love her as the way she is.

I am not expecting a very fancy charcter after she grew up but I think she could have achieved something like a police woman or something. She still so naive and she was stuck to her old self charcter. But I am still going tp give ita chance until episode 20 maybe, but if the story will line will not change Soel Ah's character a bit, I don't think I will still watch it.

But anyway i like to watch this on the way to uni as it really helps me not fall asleep ? and allows me to watch something on the hour long train. I really like the plot and Cheung ha and jun hwi are just too cute I can't wait for the next ep. I'm definitely gonna finish this drama.

Globernot Oct 21 2019 6:45 pm Okay so i came into this drama really excited cause the cast looked amazing. Right off the bat it was already clear what roles most of the characters would play and it was clear that this drama would touch on both light and drak subjects. Now what threw me off with this drama on the very first episode was the whole situation regarding suicide and the fib. For one it's very clear the main girl didnt want to commit sucide, i mean she kept dragging it back and even after he drowned she tried to save him but if she actually wanted to commit suicide she would've jumped in there alongside him. This i will say i liked in the drama as i feel the writer tried to make this aspect of hesitation known when it comes to suicide, many tend to ponder it and fo so far as almost ending their life but at the end of the day, deep down they know they still want to hold on to life. Now for what i hated .. The lie. I found no reason as to how a lie that imense could be justified. One any normal human wouldn't think to lie in this situation because it's self-explanable, there's REALLY not much one can interpret from the situation besides that. You can't call it murder cause any body inspection will show no signs of force from a second person. So why lie and say it was an accident and further twist up the situation, she didn't have to bring up the fact that she was there herself to commit suicide especially with the note as proof that she wasnt aware atleast in that moment that he wanted to commit suicide. The lie is dumb and really seems irrelevant to the whole drama as you could still have the other mother hate on her if u wanted without bringing in such a dumb lie. I mean the facts are there that point to suicide not accidental death. I'm sorry i just had to rant, that lie was just so typical of dramas, making up a spur of the moment lie that just deepens the situation. It's clear her mother did this to protect her but it was stupid, also how did no one else happen to show up at scene before her mom arrived... When she was getting there it seemed like a way longer ride.

From the first episode I was really hooked, the acting, the actors, the script, the story, just everything about this is really beyond a good drama to watch. I love how every character is connected to each other and the story as one. It has this feel good watch that you'll be sad, laugh and become frustrated but still it manages to give you a beautiful drama series that you'll definitely going to like it. I'm so impressed with the lead actors and actresses roles and acting here. Everyone on this drama deserves an award. I'm looking forward to the story and see good ending. Fighting!!!

Being lauded for being a judge, paying a $170 mil inheritance tax, etc. but covering up the fact that her son killed people in a hit-and-run accident. How did she deal with those deceased? Do they even know who did it? Wanting to torment Cheonga because her son died saving her... he's being played off as a hero.

I did find the topic of suicide in the first couple of episodes a bit too light. I realize that there are suicides involving young people for various reasons, including bullying, but Cheonga's attitude was too lighthearted and carefree.

The portrayal of Cheong Ah being happy as per suicidal beats me, but the message that she relays about the feeling of those who are left behind is impactful. I like how they made Joon Gyeom mother being kind to Cheong Ah despite being lied upon.

Cheong A then jumped into the river to save him (I don’t really get that part because didn’t she go there to suicide too) but it was too late and the boy had already died.

So she then calls her mom, and her mom tells her to cover up the fact that the boy had died by suicide for the boy’s mom’s sake, but also so that Cheong A would not become an outcast at school with all the rumors.

I get that the storyline might be a little unlogical, but other than that, I think that the cast and story revolving around Seol A is great. I have hope for the remaining episodes.

When you think so far to the point that you DECIDED you want to suicide BECAUSE you couldnt handle mentally and physically. It's not like when you suicide you want a friend with you to suicide with you. I dont understand why she backs off, when she was all ready saying goodbye to her family. And wtf how can Chung Ahs dad act like nothing happened after he knew that Chung Ah wanted to suicide. When someone wants to suicide they feel mentally depressed for what ever reason and then both parents feel betrayed? It's her feelings they should think of.

The only thing we know so far from Chung Ah was she got bullied at school and those bruises on her body. That is mentally and physically tiring but honestly I have not felt how bad she has gone through. I dont feel they portrayed a girl getting bullied wanting to suicide.

That they mix this drama with comedy, bullying and suicide is so wrong.

Suicide is a serious matter and when they finish the scene they switch to a lightweight comedy scene feels not right. It's as if It's nothing serious to them.

When Cheong Ah was bullied at school they should have shown what happened from the beginning so that we could understand her more. (Judging too early i know)

And I honestly dont understand why they made this matter so complicated. They should just have told the truth that he suicided. Even though Cheong Ahs mum said that his mum Will not handle the truth, her real reason was to protect Cheong Ahs future. Which is unfair for his mum.

Blunt Oct 07 2019 12:16 am I call this drama "Beautiful Death, Wonderful Suicide". The living people in it are always crying and sad, while the suicided guy died peacefully and with a smile on his face. That's not a great message to send to your audience. Suicide should be firmly condemned, especially if you drag a second person along with you, as this guy did. The way this drama is exploiting this dangerous subject, for purely melodramatic purposes, seems reckless to me.

Unlike its predecessors the drama has shone a light in topics of suicide, depression and bullying while still retaining its "family and day to day hardships" theme as commonly known for the 100 episodes (50eps) drama slot in kbs. Its pleasing that the main girl character isn't one of those happy, preppy, always have misfortunes but manages to get out of it character. And Kim Jae Young's character really catches you! :D Really interested in seeing how their relationship will progress in the future. We'll see how this one goes:)

When Seol In-A plays the daughter, and Kim Mi-Sook plays the mother, you know you have the most talented female duo in Korea. There were powerful scenes in the first episode. And then, suddenly the script fell apart, as soon as the lie started. By some logic, which I will never understand, mother and daughter decided to pretend that the boy's death wasn't a suicide, when in fact it was. With this completely unnecessary lie, they are now arousing both the suspicion of the police and the justified anger of the boy's mother. In what parallel universe do two innocent women incriminate themselves like that, by continually disguising a suicide as an accident? My heart wants to understand them. But my reason can't.

I'm gonna be upset if the CEO hubby (Min Seok) ends up hitting on Yoon Park's sister. Weekend family drama slots are the tip of the top in audience grabbing, so I am begging them to make it something amazing. This writer SERIOUSLY turns so many actors into total dbags for the dramas they are in! PLEASE steer clear from the adultery mess...

They all end up getting divorced first because of pressure from the husband's family and unhappy marriage life before meeting a funny and passionate guy with a very loving family that will change their views in life.
