Seoul is devastated by a powerful earthquake. Hwanggoong Apartment is the only place
still standing after the earthquake. Survivors make their way to Hwanggoong Apartment.
Young-Tak (Lee Byung-Hun) temporarily leads the residents of Hwanggoong apartment. As the crisis unfolds, Young-Tak tries to protect the residents from outsiders.
Min-Sung (Park Seo-Jun) was a public officer. He is picked by Young-Tak and becomes his helper. Myeong-Hwa (Park Bo-Young) is Min-Sung’s wife and a nurse. She takes care of the injured.
