Cheryl Oct 06 2025 7:38 am This is the first K drama I watched in 2025 (it came out at the end of 2024) and I would say, as the year is coming to a close, one of the best I've watched so far. It has the kind of plot twist that I have come to expect in K dramas and as the story progresses, it turns into a beautiful love story about life and those we treasure, while also giving respect to the dead. It hits some deeper notes and one of the reasons I love Korean film in general, is the exploration and attention to death, reincarnation, connection and the philosophical nature of being human. I haven't watched all the new dramas of 2025 (and probably won't) as many are just not landing like they use to, but this is one that did not disappoint. I agree with borge, don't pay attention to the negative comments. It's a cinematic treasure, with a twisted plot! Top tier writing and acting too.

333 hater Jul 06 2025 3:45 pm So I watched this series mainly because of Kim Kihae (Jiwoong), Park Boyoung (Youngji) and Shin Eunsoo (Hyunjoo) and I'm satisfied that they all get decent amount of screen time. As expected, I'm not disappointed with their acting especially Shin Eunsoo who I think did really really well on portraying her character. As for the series itself, at first I thought it was an actual horror show with ghosts, scary entities etc. But as the episodes goes by, I saw that there's actually a story with a unique concept going on and it's not just about ghosts that will make you feel creepy. I noticed that most of the important details weren't directly explained and most of the understanding came off from analyzing past events and realization. Although the first 3 episodes were quite confusing as they introduced new characters every episode that doesn't relate to each other, the show portrayed their relevance and relationship really well on further episodes. This is a series that I would probably forget in the future but I wouldn't forget how much and how hard I thought I gave to this showOverall a solid 9/10

But. Then I saw how it was mildly similar to “Missing the Other side” series. They did a good job of explaining everything in a short period of time. It made sense. I look forward to watching it a 2nd time with awareness of what’s going on.

thrillme Mar 23 2025 5:16 am How to describe... it started in interesting like skim lighthearted creepy with characters that seemed like they were inspired by urban legends and such. Then the writer exposes the reason for their living status. After that it turned sad and dreary. The last episode took to long to end. At least 7/10 for good enough plot.

Jillibean Mar 03 2025 10:59 am I finally got around to watching all of this short drama and must confess I didn't like it. Script was very messy and even at eight episodes went on too long. Park Bo Young and the nurses had the only likeable characters. Everyone else was pretty much a loser. Some scenes that were supposed to be sad had me laughing out loud at their absurdity. You won't be missing out on much if you miss out on watching this drama.

If I could rate this drama any higher means it’s worth a watch.

A great cast. JJH has done it again, he is one of my fave actors and I see some veteran actors too. This is one of those drama that’ll leave you guessing and wondering how everybody is tied to the storyline. It really surprises you.

The bus driver was the only person drenched in water because of he's the one who felt guilty the most among the victims. He met and plead guilty to every victims. He knew the bus got some problems on the braking components, he could have repaired it independently but choose to keep going and repair the brake in the bus pool for free. He cried so hard in the elevator till he inundate the elevator with the water.

Hyunmin couldn't recall of her girlfriend might be because of they died (and went into a coma) in separate way also through different time. Among the passengers in the bus only the people who known each other or in deep relationship/family connection plus committed irrevocably hug when they died/went into a coma, could recall each other.

At the end of episode 8 did give me really blatant possible cast of Moving Season 2. Kim Young Tak who has power to freeze the time will be played by Park Jeong-Min. Can't wait to it ?

KdramaWatcher Jan 01 2025 7:00 am For those who are confused about the young boy, he is alive. he gave the ball to youngji so that she can give it to the high schooler in the ICU. he is not dead, thats why you dont see him at the town in the afterlife. the highschooler ji-ung saved him by looping the ball around him so he floated and was saved by the rescuers. the little boy explained this to youngji at the hospital. he is not a ghost.

about the cotton in the lady's mouth - every dead body is processed the same way at the hospital. they just didnt show it for everyone. its not important. its common knowledge for koreans. there are other places in the world too, where its done the same way for bodies that are embalmed.

about hyunjoo not being visible to the dead children but visible to other passengers, it is safe to assume that its because they come from different worlds. the dead children never knew life so souls from the world of the living is not visible to them. hyunjoo is visible to the rest of the passengers because they were all originally from the same world - the living.

about sunhae's rental house - yes, the owner is one of the residents there. one of the souls who stayed behind in the afterlife.

its not at all confusing if you pay attention to the details and the dialogues. its a very well-made drama. excellent writing and cast.

SPOILER ALERT*

The series had many plot holes like why some things only work for one and not others. From what I understand, the school is for the dead children considering all the names of students was the fetus nickname Korean often gave before childbirth. The reason why they can't see Hyunju is maybe because Hyunju not dead. She's in the borderline of life and death but Jiyoung and all the bus accidents' victims can see her just fine. And why would only her mom got cotton(?) in her mouth but none of the other corpses got that? Then the accident clearly shows that the bus drowning but only the bus driver completely drenched of water, the others? Just fine. Lastly, how the hell did Sunhae able to rent the house? Did the owner also dead? I know this is fantasy but the story is quiet funny for me despite all the sad stories.

Hyunmin's character is really funny though. He didn't remember Jiyoung could be because Jiyoung killed herself but for me who thinks this story is just funny, Hyunmin didn't remember her because he didn't love her enough. The way he stumbles and clumsily try to catch whatever light in the light shop to go back to life and happily leave JY behind, yes he's not in love enough LOL I feel bad for him because though he lives, he's still in the dark.

But overall, this drama still enjoyable with all stellar casts. They did great in portraying their characters especially Hyunjoo and Seolhyun. For me, this two shines the most in this series.

Edx Dec 25 2024 9:57 am If you paid attention to the slow-motion scene when the bus was submerged in the water, the boy was saved by Ji-Woong when he looped his basketball string around the boy, allowing the boy to float up and survive. The basketball then became Ji-Woong’s symbol of his will to live, hence it led the bus driver to find him.

xoxo Dec 25 2024 9:20 am I want a clarification regarding the young boy who’s also a passenger in the bus. He was the only one who wasn’t given emphasis on the story. I want to believe that he died since when the new nurse asked Young-ji why there’s a ball under Ji-woong’s bed, she replied it was from her but there was a scene when Young-ji saw the boy outside the ICU who wanted to give the ball to Ji-woong. I assume it was his ghost that Young-ji talked to. If he’s alive, then why Young-ji said it was from her? Obviously, it will be creepy if she said that the ball was from someone who’s already dead, right? However, if he’s dead, then why he didn’t appear in the “afterlife”? I’m a bit confused there.

Overall, this series is pretty good. It’s confusing on the first 4 episodes but everything will be clear after that. I feel sorry for Ji-young and Hyunmin. They’re the only ones who doesn’t have that “closure”… and those cameos in the midcredits are interesting.

Spoiler ahead if you haven't watched it fully yet - there was a young boy on the bus during the accident and I kept waiting for him to show up somewhere or any update about him but nothing. Did he die or live? I guess if there is a 2nd season it might be there but it seems weird that the youngest victim was not mentioned or shown at all.

I cried for Joo Hyun-Ju and her mom. Maybe there really is a purgatory, where the lost souls and those who have died are there. I hope Season 2 comes out early next year. I'm really excited. Thanks for this kind of series, my time is not wasted.

I think the title will be Bridge for S2. While the moving continue, a crossover between the timers of the Timing series &the writer Gong Gong, who is intertwined in 1 worldview. In other words, it is a direct sequel to Moving, and indirect sequel to Timing-Again.

Alice Dec 20 2024 5:34 pm Wow I wasn’t expecting Yoo Hee to be Wonyoung’s daughter and Hyunjoo to be his granddaughter. It makes their interactions at the beginning more wholesome. I’m still confused how this world and Moving’s world are the same because I feel like that’s a lot going on. Moving felt more like X-men where some people were born with powers and the government wants to use them. Whereas Light Shop feels more like the supernatural and the events that happened are a way to explain the unexplainable. But for them both to simultaneously exist in the same world just feels like things could easily get messy like Marvel’s multiverse concept

"Burned school" is a tragedy in "Moving" season1 and that school girl in the end is heroine in that series. 3) that fingersnap guy is protagonist in "Timing" (not yet exist for now). So that closing scene is just a line with other "Kang Full stories"

And the way they keep teasing about Young Tak (the protagonist of Timing) just making me can't wait for Timing series. But I heard they will make another season of Moving first, I don't mind it coz I like that stories too.

Lightshop is his directorial debut. No wonder there's a crossover between the two series. It's his first time to direct a film and he did an excellent job.

1. I think it is because Jiyoung took her own life/ commit suicide. All of the ghosts/spirits in that alley were in coma/brink of death because of internal forces or accident and not their own doing. So I assumed it was because she took her own life and as a punishment, people dear to her will not remember her even in the afterlife.

Older people in country believed who commit suicide are not accepted in the afterlife and was forced to be in a limbo, and to wander alone as an eternal punishment.

With Jiyoung dying full of regret and sadness, she will continue to linger around Hyungmin until "he remembers her". It is just sad and devastating to witness their tragic story like that.

Ah yea, i got plot twisted by that frozen and dog guy... I thought the guy simply coma from apartement because the heater is off and he is just too cold. But wow, this suddenly became sad doge story ???

For the story, of course number 1 is Hyun Min x Ji Young, then the Dog story. I'm glad it's just 8 episode, so there's not much filler scene. Great drama, 9/10!!

Kdrama Lovers Dec 15 2024 7:00 am From Ep 1 - 4, a little bit confusing, but after i saw the ep 5 -6, all the puzzles start to connect, and it makes for a great story. recommend re-watching from the eps 1 to get the details of the story after understanding the main story.

Special for eps 5 -6, its really sad, for the hyun min and lee ji young part :(((, hope this drama can have a happy ending for all

Genres can be explained as slice of life and mystery, two of my favorites. Not for everyone but ıt will stay with people like me who like this kind of thing.

I found this one to be the saddest: The schoolgirl mom keeps trying to send her daughter to buy more lightbulbs so the daughter could remember the accident and get her soul back to her body.

I think the lightbulbs make the dead/half-dead remember and it spark their will to live

Tiger Dec 08 2024 4:07 pm I loved Moving and really waited since months for Light Shop. Honestly, it‘s my biggest disappointment this year in terms of kdrama.

Really boring and the way the plot is told is just, I don‘t know, too slow and too hectic at the same time? Compared to the way a shop for killers, Moving, Little Women or the Glory was told this is really weak.

I hope it gets better.
