Choi Seung-Hyo (Jung Hae-In) is the most noteworthy young architect in Korea and he runs the architecture atelier "In." Not only is he nearly perfect as an architect, but he is also very attractive and has a great personality. Yet, Choi Seung-Hyo has experienced moments that he wants to erase from his life. Those moments usually involve Bae Seok-Ryu (Jung So-Min). When they were 4 years old, their moms became friends. Because of their moms, Choi Seung-Hyo and Bae Seok-Ryu spent a lot of time together like bathing together at a women's bathhouse. Now, Choi Seung-Hyo meets Bae Seok-Ryu as an adult.

While growing up, Bae Seok-Ryu’s life was smooth sailing. During her school days, she never missed ranking first academically at her school. She was always passionate and energetic with things she did. After graduating from a university, she got hired by a large company. She worked hard as a project manager, but, for some reason, she quit her job. She has been unemployed since then. She meets Choi Seung-Hyo.

You see, at that time I wasn't interested in watching it because Thinking it would be very boring when there are so many Who loves this drama. To be honest, I watched it because there was no more drama to watch. And my impression when watching it was a bit boring at first but over time it became exciting and romantic. Jung Somin's chemistry iThere is no need to doubt it. He is good at making his drama exciting and funny. For haein oppa he also played well and was funny. But in other dramas he is not as good as in this drama. Indeed, it depends on the co-player. Or it depends.

I like it. The acting of all the players here is very cool. A good, funny, sad and touching drama. Recommend 8.5/10

Cheryl May 10 2025 8:18 am This drama is okay. It had some elements that I really liked and enjoyed and also there were parts that I found boring and there were points along the way that dragged. I almost gave it up but in the end, I powered through and have no regrets. I enjoyed the friend relationships between the parents the most and the second half of the series gets better. I am a fan of Jung So-Min and all the cast did a great job. It was my first time watching anything with Jung Hae-In and I don't think this drama showcases his talent. His story with his parents and his childhood is also an element that added some interest to the series but his character was a bit bland.

The ML - who is in one of my all time favourites something in the rain and FL - who also is another one of my top 10’s alchemy of souls, didn’t disappoint in this. They played their parts well. The second couple and the little girl were my favourite couple in the show. I wish we had more of their story. The group of 4 mums and the 2 dads added a great mix of people to complete this drama. I think that the ending was rushed but still ok. It’s a cute story of childhood friends and their relationships. Worth the watch. Just not overly impressive.

Kdrama Llama Feb 10 2025 2:15 pm As a relatively new Kdrama convert, this was the first series I watched weekly as it aired and while I liked it, I also I felt a bit unsatisfied... However, after recently rewatching selected highlights, I was utterly charmed. The lead and second lead couple were lovely, think my main issue was with the group of mums and the level of control and interference in their very grown up children’s lives. There was lots to love, I enjoyed the growth and journey of both leads, the neighbourhood they lived in, the OST and the bromance between the dads, so cute! The late act twist was also well done (no spoilers!) they usually make me grumpy!

I stopped to think and explore my own interests just like Seok-ryu did. I love the long friendship between Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu. They are half of each other's lives. I love this kind of relationship. They make me believe that their love will be eternal, that nothing can destroy it. The chemistry between the actors is also very good.

rover Jan 01 2025 4:31 am FL's mom is unbearable. She's so annoying. She keeps on nudging FL to get a job, go back to her ex, and fly back to US for her to become successful. The mother never even bothered to ask FL's emotions and welfare. Additionally, she never considered how hardworking her daughter is and how that hardwork could make her successful on her own. FL's mother highlighted US and the guy as the only things that can make FL successful. This drama built a self-serving and close-minded mother.

I deem this continuous issue of the mother as highly unnecessary, I wish the writers have adjusted her role a bit and made her character development faster.

edz Dec 15 2024 4:56 pm After a heavy or a bad, frustrating drama, this type of drama would be the best to watch. It's light (ofc there are sad parts) and fun, I really love kdramas that takes place in a neighborhood, childhood friends etc, it's really heartwarming. I also love the fact that SPOILER female lead's ex wasn't a bad person, it would be cliche if he cheated or mean. Also loved to see seo ji-hye even though it was some sort of a cameo role.

I don't think there are no plot holes or meaningless scenes, maybe except female lead's brother, his scenes added almost nothing to the plot, but I don't why that this drama didn't have a lot of impact on me. There was something missing but I still don't know after reading the comments lol no one apparently figured it out. Maybe it's because I'm used to seeing jung hae-in in more shy, reserved and maybe a bit sad roles. The reason can be also the dialogues or screenplay, because the plot is good but maybe these scenes could be better ? I think there were a couple of scenes were they had a heated discussion but it never reached to an impactful point.

Nevertheless, it's a good drama, not one of the best, I highly recommend it if you watched something overwhelming or disappointed before (like that weather forecast drama lol)

Final note, I speak French fluently and them speaking French was hilarious, I don't want to be mean but their pronunciations were soooo bad, it was impossible to understand. But again a French person or even someone outside of Korea (maybe far east region) would have a really difficult time saying something in Korean. It has a completely different vowel and intonation system that I get why Koreans have difficulty in pronunciation especially in phonetic languages and vice versa of course. It's traumatic to hear Hollywood actors saying something in Korean lol

If you’re looking through the comments, wondering if you should watch it or not, WATCH IT. I will say it starts off pretty slow. I initially started watching it like a background drama but slowly found myself completely and totally immersed. It’s the perfect slice of life drama and this drama touches on all the main aspects of living that makes it a masterpiece. It’s an extremely feel-good show that makes you reminisce on your childhood, family, friends, and other loved ones.

The storyline was realistic for me because I could relate to Bae Seok-Ryu's character. My family also expected me to do well in my studies and at work. There was also a point in my life where I had to reach inside myself to find my old dream. Even now I struggle but that is how it is in life. This drama made me cry and laugh. This is truly a wonderful, healing rom-com for me. Great piece of drama. Thumbs up and I recommend everyone to watch this wonderful series!!!

I never usually drop any dramas but I have to take a break on this one. The characters are too childish from the start that no matter how hard i try I can’t get hooked. I‘m so frustrated because I badly wanted to watch this.

I love the heart-felt moments and heartwarming storylines and the bonds and closeness the cast had. But I couldn't help be frustrated with some of the writing and directing and there were alot of filler scenes.

All in all, despite the shows flaws this drama still has my heart. I think if you haven't watched the drama and want to get into it be prepared that it's not a straight out rom-com. I'll probably equate to one of those kbs weekend family dramas but instead of 50 episodes its condensed into 16. Last but not least the cast, I love this cast. They all work well together and seem close. And can someone PLEASE put Jung Somin and Jung Haein in another project together, their chemistry is undeniable.

Soominol Oct 19 2024 11:32 am I loved and enjoyed every bit of this drama. After a very long time I enjoyed a romcom and not a single scene was cringe or overdo. The thing which i liked most was it had many stories to unfold layer by layer and focused not only leads but everyone around them and focused not only the romance part but also their own career growth which i found to be sensible. Their romance looked mature and both couples were too pretty onscreen. Last but not the least the story of each parent was nicely depicted.

bubba Oct 17 2024 3:37 am im in the 2nd ep. im annoyed by the mom. she's so not understanding. she makes things about herself. the FL was abroad for so long, and all she cared about was the fact that the FL is no long employed and engaged? she didn't even bother to ask the FL the reason first. she just went and hit the FL. she's making this drama so hard to watch. i hope her character gets better in the next eps.

I liked that clichés were avoided, for example the exes are lovable as someone worth dating in the past, although the main characters ended up choosing each other. Women did not sacrifice themselves on the altar of marriage. Although the story is too good to be true, none of the characters are perfect and none of them are unbearable. I liked that the first kiss or the wedding is not the climax of the story. In reality, the kiss is just the beginning and the wedding ceremony is just a beautiful moment.

Many people find it boring as compared to other dramas which literally have no story line, also in this drama there is no mention of any antagonist or criminal etc which exists in every drama making it a success. It's simply healing, and comforting with a lot of comedy, sweet and bitter romance with truthfullness of our lives. Moreover one should definitely watch this drama and try to understand what the makers actually want us to bring and view.

        In conclusion, the chemistry of the actors both behind and on the camera is adorable and realistic.

Magda Oct 10 2024 12:40 pm I absolutely love KDramas, it’s just about all I watch. This was a very sweet, funny and romantic Drama. I thoroughly enjoyed it! As always great and beautiful actors! One thing that always bothers me about some Dramas is, how the parents, in this case the mother, tries to control her 34 year old adult daughter, telling her, No! She can’t marry him! That she has to go on a blind date and be married before the year is out! That’s just mind boggling to me with these mothers and sometimes fathers too! It’s ok for her to live abroad by herself, but not to marry who she loves and trusts! ? ? Also didn’t care to much for the ending, it’s as if, they ran out of time and crunched the ending in. But for the most part, it was lovely!!! Have a blessed day! From the USA.

But whenever I see her romance with others, I am stil stuck in the character of oh ha ni .. Cannot see her with characters except beak seung Jo..

She played oh ha ni so well..

Whenever she cooks food so well or studies so well in other dramas I see why is oh ha ni cooking so well???

Watching dramas since 14 years , but never for a character like this before..

Not sure if I alone feel the same with jung so min

I wish there would be a second season (or a spin-off) on their characters' development thereafter -- Danho going to the South Pole, going back to Korea with Mo-eum, getting married and forming a new family with Yeon-du, with Mo-eum's mom supporting them.

Jieun, Jion and Jiyu -- the triple "Ji"s -- I will always be rooting for them.

I was so looking forward to Saturday and Sunday, when in Korea it's 21:10, we have 18:20, and I was waiting for the Netflix release. I cried with him, laughed, understood my mistakes, my butterflies that died just recovered during their romance. And well done to those who created the JungJung couple for us. And I fell in love with them very much, and I can't imagine them with anyone else now.

This drama centers on the interactions among neighborhood families and friends. It reminds me of the k-drama Reply 1988. Quite enjoyable! Choi Seung-Hyo is too perfect as a character, almost too good to be true! No wonder Bae Seok-Ryu said she hits a jackpot. LOL!

Or at least I did: I'm an old broad. Lol. Nice production values, very clean and professional. Jung So Min and Jung Hae In always pick good dramas to star in.

For this wonderful and very heartwarming drama if i will rate love nextdoor i will give 10/10 very perfect i love the story very much, The cast are very Amazing deserve an award , But I'm still for season 2 the episode 16 titled The end and the beginning so I'm looking forward to the season 2 to begin their journey as a married couple, Love Next door deserve season 2 so please writer and director the fans are waiting ?

Jan R. Oct 04 2024 3:22 am I was watching every week up to episode 4 and then I said to myself I should just wait for it to finish airing so that I can enjoy it watching without waiting. Watched Mr. Queen instead since I saw it randomly.

And now seeing so many people got disappointed on how the story went, I think watching Mr. Queen instead was one of the best decision of my life. Lol

I have been scammed! Oct 01 2024 8:28 pm !Spoiler Ahead! Sigh… I was drawn to this drama because I loved watching them in the interviews and the bts, they showed great chemistry and banter. I thought it could be another rom-com favourite or at least an enjoyable watch. But I was wrong. Sure, the leads have undeniable chemistry. Sure, the cast is great and by watching the bts everyone is having a blast. But that does not take away how messy the writing and directing is. I can’t believe I have sat and watched this drama without skipping once until episode 14. Yes, the ridiculous reveal made me roll my eyes, but I share the unpopular opinion that it was not such a bad plot point (I know crazy right?) so I tried to give the drama another chance and somewhat enjoyed (emphasis on somewhat) it prior to ep 14. The leads getting together were cute enough and they were some squee moments but as soon as that passed, I guess the writers were clueless in how to fill in the gaps until the show ends. The show in Korean should’ve been called ‘Mom’s friend’s daughter’ because how majority of the time we see mostly Seung-Hyo’s point of view and rarely Seok-Ryu’s side. I think this is the reason why we feel Seung-hyo’s love but we can’t really feel Seok-Ryu’s intense feelings for Seung-Hyo. It’s the writing. Her statement at the end of episode 13 was so lackluster I was pounding my chest in frustration. The show and writing just doesn’t know how to highlight an important moment. I also wish we could’ve explored more of the second leads because I do like their storyline too. The parents already have enough scenes. But I get it, it’s the same writers as ‘Hometown Cha cha’ so it won’t be full on romance. I’m just holding out for next two episodes and hoping it ends decently. However, I’m also expecting disappointment because I don’t want to regret the time spent watching this drama. Let's hope Jung Hae In and Jung So Min reunite in a better rom-com in the future. End of rant.

They share a beautiful bond that grows and then comes full circle and then get finally get together. There’s also the best friend’s story where she finds love with her reporter and his “daughter.” Also the friendship with the Lavender ladies is nice to see when they are there for each other. There is a lot of love and friendship in this show and this show has made me laugh and cry and can’t wait to see the last two shows. This is definitely becoming my favorite KDrama ever! I love everyone in this show!!

Why they upload character pov diary while they could have shoot them on the series, danho's pov was such a waste. what the point of writing it beautifully but none of it presented on the drama, who gonna check their sosmed just to understand the character more? who??

I don't understand why they're focusing too much on mom and dad scenes, while they're so immature. why i have to see them pulling their hair over each other when there's much more promising plot they could've explore. paramedic lonely fight with mental health?? danho's pov??

ILa Sep 30 2024 6:40 pm I don’t think this drama is bad but I don’t think it’s the best either. I’ll categorise it under feel-good-easy-watch for sure. It touches on a range of relatable and important topics such as mental health, parental pressures, career vs family, starting over in your 30s etc which are commandable. The storyline doesn’t wow me but it’s enough to keep me watching.

However, this drama is very reminiscent of Queen of Tears and its problems. With the leads being notable actors, it’s a shame that their talents are so under utilised. Their great chemistry is often marred by painfully cringey and often times, stoic lines which reminds you that they are just actors acting like they’re in love. I don’t think it’s in the delivery, the writing is just not giving. Someone here said that So Min kisses like Park Shin Hye, has clearly not seen her other works, lol. I blame the plank style kissing on the director. What is going on with these Netflix kdrama lately? Personally, I feel like the quality has gone down hill. They were doing so well with dramas like “It’s ok not to be ok”, “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” etc

I would like to end my rant on a good note though, the drama does evoke memories and feelings of puppy love so despite all the shortcoming, it’s still a cute drama and I’d still want to see how it ends.

coco Sep 30 2024 7:52 am would say it gets better later in the drama but the first couple of episodes were quite boring.. i just kept watching for jung haein lol seokryu becomes more likeable later as well, but i am still a little disappointed in somin's acting. there's just not enough versatility in her expressions imo?

i will say though, this drama shares a lot of important messages about life. i teared up a few times during relatable moments. overall i think it's just a feel-good drama with nothing too new or intense. it's like one of those dramas you'd have playing in the background while you do something else haha

It's a super slow and typical drama, but I see the actors carrying the drama so I'm finishing it.

It was all very mature and thought through without lacking it heartwrenching drama with new plots. I don't get people who hate on this show. When they depicted the family problems here it hits home because I can totally relate to their story. I'm so glad I watched this and super satisfied with the story progression, the character development, I can tell they have written it well and had a clear vision in mind of the story. Although the plot of the love story is a little bit cliche on some parts, but they did everything perfectly that I have no complaint!! I cried 3 times in the past episode cause it was so sad but I'm glad everything worked out in the end. This drama will definitely be underrated in my opinion. But, you can't satisfy everyone. This was super satisfying for someone like me who loves romcom, slice of life, and first love stories!

Can’t seem to decide between realism and fantasy, leaving us with a weak plot, slow pacing, and unnecessary scenes and characters.

I want to talk about Seokryu’s character—her emotions are confusing, and she stayed cold all the way until episode 11. Does that even make sense??

The confession scene was both childish and abrupt. Why does the writer keep making Seokryu’s feelings for Seunghyo so unclear and distant? It’s really frustrating.

Even in the rooftop scene, when Seunghyo got all flustered after she touched his neck, Seokryu remained, as usual, cold and indifferent.

And then there’s the kiss scene “that so many people were waiting for” why was there more focus on the cinematography than on the emotions???!! A kiss in Seunghyo’s office or in the corner of a room would’ve been much more impactful than that sunflower field.

By episode 11, I feel like I’ve lost all hope. Even their dating phase is becoming more boring. I was expecting more intimate and bold moments, but instead, they’re becoming more childish and distant.

Somin and Haein’s great chemistry was completely wasted. I feel bad for them—they deserved a better drama with a writer who knew how to use their chemistry.

Ep 11 made me cry So Much, i felt so much empathy for seunghyo’s wounds. This drama confirmed that Communication - the willingness to be honest and vulnerable - are truly so essential in close connections, especially within family.

I think this drama teaches so much about being there for eachother and accepting them as they truly are even if their goals/ aspirations aren’t aligned with what you hoped for them. I’m in a place in my life where i’m experiencing the same - i’m not pursuing what my mom wants me to do but i’m doing what makes me happy. Lately she’s come around to accept me so much more for the person I am and the path I want to pursue. Sure it makes her uncomfortable still but it makes me happy she is so much more accepting of me.

Pursuing your happiness is the way of life, no matter how difficult it is to “disappoint” or make others (especially parents) uncomfortable

I Love This Drama So Much. I hope my mom is lowkey watching this (in chinese subs not eng) so she can gain some understanding about me even if slightly more :’)

The dialogue makes no sense, the direction is making no sense.

I experienced the same situation where in the oldest always set aside. While watching the show my heart started to feel squeezed as I remember how my family was. Next was the ex bf. He was there and got tired since it was the only two of them supporting each other got fed up and miscommunication started. Seokryu situation was also valid as she has weak mental state so she gave up on his ex. But clearly she is still on the process where in she has a goal to be successful, not to have a new lovelife with sa ML. i just dont like the other family as its getting outrageos and so cliche.

Over all the drama is nice. Not the best but it is something worth to watch if you like some heart warming, family oriented, and a pinch of romcom.

Jillibean Sep 18 2024 1:05 pm It's an enjoyable drama, just fairly predictable plot set up. The quality of the actors is why I stick with this one. Been watching Jung So Min since 2010's Bad Guy and she's always beautifully emotive and interesting. My favorite drama of hers is Fix You from a few years ago. I think she did really well in that drama with a leading man older than she was. When paired with leading men closer to her own age, like in Love Next Door, the stories tend to be less unique and rather formula-driven.

It could be triggering or/and not fun to watch, if this is not what you are looking for that's why I think many are frustrated by it, dropped it, etc. and not because of maturity/immaturity of the audience.

Because people will get disappointed if this isn't what they're looking for/expected so it's kind of a spoiler, but it's a warning if you're someone who reads things like this before watching.

I used to like these type of dramas but idk what exactly here that made me drop it when I've watched heavier ones. I resonate with how the FL has depression, family expectations, being the "good daughter" etc. It's probably just not what I want to watch at the moment.

The happy, romantic fluttering part, the overcoming struggles part, are just not enough (for me, it could be different for others) to get through the hard parts.

Maybe if I binge watched this, if I didn't start watching it weekly while it's airing, I'd probably like it more.

How we can see that communication is really that crucial, yet we still do mistakes due to personal ego or simply doesn't brave enoigh to talk. This drama greatly capturing those issues. Great casts. Shipping Jung Jung couple so hard. Waiting for their dating era. Kudos!

I think when the cancer story came out, it touched some audience who experience about this painful reality of having cancer. Maybe , some can't watch some of the scene because it reminded them of someone they lost like mine.( my mom, best friend and now my brother ongoing. ) But , this is Kdrama story about survival and finding love that was there all along. How misunderstandings can break up friendship or simply not being brave to speak out what you feel. This drama will make you strong and smile eventually. The casts are amazing. I will highly recommend to all who still believe in happy endings . It will make us think to be kind to someone whose having a hard time in life.

Based on the episodes, ex-fiance seems a good guy and really loves FL. Depression is a difficult situation for both the depressed and those closest to the person. I understand why he needed some break and said unnice things which he regretted later. And FL loved him too and I guess broke up with him because she did not want to be a burden. So I don't understand why they can't get back together, eventually...

Drama not romance Sep 15 2024 12:28 pm I held on until Ep10 but I'm out. I could see them as friends but not lovers, and he's a selfish bad friend, he thinks too much of his romantic feelings for her than actually caring for her.

I feel bad for the ex but I also understand the FL.

The ML is projecting too much, he knew he's a coward, if he approached her 3 years ago than be a coward, he would've known. I actually don't think that's just cowardice, it's petty, what kind of friendship is that?

I really wanted to watch the 2nd lead couple but it's just so annoying, I kept on skipping scenes but it's still annoying to see. So yeah, rather than complaining here again, til 6 more episodes, I'd drop it now although I've come far. Ugh, I hate it coz I debated on starting this drama, and now it's a waste. I really like her Somin's acting though.

Watching dramas is for entertainment not to feel heavy and thinking about if one day can one get stomach cancer. The female lead character doesn't have any chemistry toward the male lead. Just cold

I hope ep 11 will get better and stop with the cancer issue. This drama started so good but ep 8 onward just depressing

It would've been better if it's a story of how she & her ex get back together (like a different story, maybe different cast), but here, I kind accept that she won't get back with her ex but I just don't feel her love for the ML, idk why, though they show flashbacks, they show her perspective, his perspective, I just don't root for them. I feel like he's pushing himself too much to her and not in a cute, heart fluttering, friendship to lovers way, but as if it's his right or privilege to do so. Is it just me? Why is it written or directed that way.

Also, they really shouldn't label it romantic comedy when It's Not, is that a translation mishap, is it a mellow drama in Korean?

Glad I'm still enjoying the 2nd lead couple but they seem to be crying next episode too, still they have chemistry.

kc Sep 15 2024 2:57 am I hope Song Hyeon-Jun and Bae Seok-Ryu find their way back together if she’s considering a new relationship, as there doesn’t seem to be any clear conflict between them. If the writers are determined to pair the lead actors together, it might be helpful to introduce a flaw or issue in her ex’s character to make the transition feel more natural and avoid making the ex seem unfairly treated

A story has conflict arcs even in romcom, it’s just that love next door has more serious conflicts compared to other romcom. and this has been promoted as healing drama and healing happens after trauma. FL’s health (stomach cancer) may find by some viewers as too much but i think it perfectly closes some foreshadowing at previous episodes like on ep1 - the FL was described by her friend moeum as getting skinny, can’t tolerate spiciness anymore before while eating tteokbokki and the 1yr leave from work. the writer seems got inspired by the story of a chef with no stomach for the character of FL. As per jung haein, the party will start at episode 11 up to the end. Overall, i love this series and it hit so close to home compared to other on-going kdramas

WHY WHY WHY Sep 10 2024 12:01 am after episode 8 the theory of bae seok ryu's death emerged. jung mo eum will take care of bae seok ryu, kang and ho will write about bae seok ryu's life, choi seung hyo will remember bae seok ryu through the funeral home he designed. i don't know if i can continue watching because i'm starting to get annoyed with choi seung hyo's ex and bae seok ryu's ex and how the story became a love triangle and now the story is heading towards melodrama. I think for now I will focus on no gain no love first.

He could really have good motives, it was just a mistake (I know there are playboys who kept on cheating, it's their character already, but there are a few who cheat one time) But Why? Coz Men? Do we really have to accept that, that it's just in their nature? Of course there are good ones (or not get caught and did not repeat, or of course just good ones, speaking only in terms cheating). But why? He knew he had cancer and still did that to her. Actually it's pretty common, when there's sickness in the family, someone cheats out of the family. But why? why? I somehow roots for them, I feel like masochist. It probably won't happen, coz he's not the main lead. But idk, I'm not convinced w/ the main lead. Is she going to die, will she not end up with anyone, will it be an open ending.

I wonder how will they make me root for the main leads when I have this feeling it won't work out or if it does, it won't be as romantic & as convincing because of how the plot twisted.

I'm still into the 2nd leads so atleast. But the triangle between the main couple, her ex fiance and his ex girlfriend is not so fun to watch.

Lee Sep 08 2024 10:44 pm hmmm i think they ruined the Main Leads story here but interjecting a very weird plot line ~ cancer relapse and stuff. weird. in the sense that its not Rom Com anymore, and its not even funny or romantic. its supposed to be building the main leads chemistry but instead they went the opposite. meanwhile the Secondary characters were building their chemistry well. no complicated plotlines.. and I'm having fun watching them....i found myself skipping some scenes because of the female lead's family weird complicated thing with their own daughter.

hope they fix this ASAP or I'm not going to watch this till the end. will just only watch no gain no love instead.

Emmanuel Sep 08 2024 8:44 pm The reality is that they started well until chapter 8 which for several is the sign of the clickhe and the copy of other doramas had everything to make a great proposal and the only thing they managed to do was destroy the project, they have a great cast and they did not take advantage of it... it is supposed to be romantic comedy and the writers are burying everything... it will be one but I no longer see it, I know what they are going to do and I think I will not be the only one who thinks about it.

I find it so annoying that Kdrama script writers always feel the need to make the other person hurt the person as a way of protecting them. It’s always the annoying part of almost every Kdrama. Everything was going so well until that part. Is it so difficult to just say to your friend… I’m sick and so on… why do they always strong a third person along unnecessarily? Why make characters suddenly so inhumane and selfish?

This character is annoying, that is unnecessary, she shouldn't behave like that, he should manage better his feelungs, there isn't a big Big "problem" to solve.... jeez! It's a romcom with sometimes exaggerated but funny scenes. A simple story, nice ordinary people with everyday weaknesses and fears, small or big secrets. Some of them are loud, others are quiet. The series is not even halfway through, with each episode it becomes more clear why someone behaves this way or that way. The story probably ends with them finding each other, but it's fun to watch with many talented actresses and actors how it's unfolding. I can't wait every week!

Maybe it's gonna be until Seokryu falls in love or realizes she is in love with Seunghyo, then it's gonna be eps 12+ hmmm. I don't like Seokryu's character, she is childish, always willing in control over everything, not listening to others, not sharing her minds or problems to the people close to her, even her parents. It's really annoying since her parents deserve to know her reason cancelling the wedding no matter what it is, come on, that's really huge problem, how come you don't tell them?! I agree that not every single thing we need to share, but for this..., really?! I prefer Moeum's character more, she is mature and she acts just like her age, she is independent but also down to earth. I agree with someone who said, this drama is getting like Doctor Slump, promising actors and actresses, good start, but then... dang! Even I'm slowly getting bored watching this drama, but let's see more and wait.

They're both very immature in dealing with their feelings for each other. I'm liking the love story between the second leads more. But I freaking love the actors and so I'm just waiting for it to get better (hopefully)

each episode, we got Very satisfying end and conclusion of that episode. now i just notice, each episode they introduce new plot and solution, like in 4th episode, they just suddenly introduce Social Media in the beginning, and that will be the resolve on the end.

same like in episode 3, introduce swiming in the start, then satisfying conclusion in the end.

I can't with those saying they lack chemistry! Everytime they're together on screen, even when they're just messing with each other, you feel the electricity. And pls, it would feel weird if 2 people who knew each other since they were kids, who took baths together, who practically grew up together and who seemed liked brother and sister would be acting lovey-dovey with heart eyes for each other very early in the show. That would be bad writing. In the first two episodes, their bickering siblings-like relationship was established. In the next two episodes, we see that though they love to squabble, they actually truly care for each other: she missed her mock exam to cheer for him, and he brought her her favorite comic books all the way to the States (then); he meticulously recreated her old room, and she supported his company do business with Greip (now). I'm excited to see how their relationship will blossom into romance and how the people around them will react to our future new couple.

They seem cute together but as friends. I don't see any romantic aura around them. Acting wise everyone is doing great. Somin and Haein are already great actors and they are shining in this drama in their roles.

For the romance, I am more interested in the second leads than the main leads. That's not a good sigh imo. Not sure if I will be continuing this drama :(

I really like how the leads' chemistry (so far per EP2) is very much not forced - even the 'lack' of it as the person below says, for me is natural; I'm actually glad they don't have those lovey-dovey chemistry right from the start so we can look forward to how their feelings will develop when they 'upgrade' their status from mere childhood, neighborhood, mom's-friend's-child friends to more.

Seokryu's mom is radiating such big Asian mom energy. I will say she's not a bad mom, even if she does things I'd rather she not, but really, her characterization hits close to home. I can see her traits in my mom and neighborhood aunties. She's annoying but also warm at the same time. I hope she can empathize more with Seokryu in the future.

I expect more spice on Seunghyo's character. So far he feels like such a goody-two-shoes (no wonder considering how his parents are like). I also am excited to see how will other side characters stories turn out, such as miss paramedic bestie's and mr gym rat brother's. But I'm really loving the slice-of-life, mundane. daily, this-could-happen-to-all-of-us vibes up until this point. Can't wait for the next episodes! <3

I feel like the plot is a bit bland, there's not much to it and their relationship where they tease each other is getting boring and repetitive (after 130 K-dramas watched, I can't take it anymore). Their relationship and the way they act towards each other feel a bit more like a brother-sister relationship, I can't ship them romantically. I love both lead actors, but something is off. Let's see what ep 2 brings to the table so I can decide if I continue or drop it altogether.
