Tamio Suda (Takayuki Hamatsu) is an ordinary salaryman. He experiences various stress throughout his daily life. His only pleasure is to set out on trips to find "Zetsumeshi." Zetsumeshi refers to endangered meals, that may no longer exist in the future. While his wife Kanae (Wakana Sakai) and child go attend concerts by their favorite idol groups, he leaves home on Friday after work and returns home Saturday night.

"Zetsumeshi Road" takes over TV Tokyo's Friday 24:52 time slot previously occupied by "Eat And Sleep at Camp Alone" and followed by "Throw It Away, Adachi" on April 17, 2020.

Nami Oct 23 2022 8:20 am Just finished watching this amazing dorama in Netflix. Such a sad story but heartwarming at the same time. It's a short drama (only 12 episodes and the duration is only 24 minutes per episode), but I'm sure it's remarkable. I'm going to remember this drama for my whole life.

Bakaneko Sep 03 2021 8:44 am I'm very pleased to find this gem on Netflix. It's a very heartwarming dorama. I love that all stories are based on true ones and I really love the photos they took in the end of each episodes with the casts and original owners. It's really heartwarming but sad at the same time. Japan is a country of elder people and watching this dorama is like watching different side of their lives. I feel sad but I didn't cry. Although my heart feels like it would burst with emotion. 12 episodes (about 30 minutes each) feels very short ? I wish they'd make another season for this drama.
