Eps. 1
Joo Young-jae turns 30 this year and works for the general affairs department at Miam, but one day she gets demoted just because of the fact that she is in her thirties. Now she works at Miam lighting exhibition hall, taking care of the hall, and managing promotions and deliveries. As she now works at this lower-level position, her dream of becoming a lighting designer seems to be growing harder and harder to achieve. On the other hand her little sister Eun-jae is a talented and attractive analyst. She is gifted with great skills, fights against sexual discrimination and prejudices, and is direct and precise with her thoughts and ideas. She is engaged to Philip, an elite fund manager who was scouted from a well-known Swiss stock company. The other women in her company are envious of her success in both love and work. Without any particular expectations, Young-jae gets ready for work. She puts on some lipstick, ties her hair back and goes to work. Unexpectedly she runs into her ex?oyfriend Chan-ha. Not wanting him to see her looking so bad she tries to hide from him, but eventually he sees her and without a second thought she lies to him, telling him that she is dating a lighting designer. Chan-ha invites her to a party that some light association is putting on and tells her to bring her boyfriend. After worrying about what she should do her friend suggests that she hire someone to be her date. Meanwhile, the most popular guy in the company, Joong Suh, who every woman loves for his charming looks, skills and charisma, quits his job because of a conflict with his new team leader, Chan Ha. He decides to set up his own venture enterprise. One day, Junghwan asks Joong Suh to help him saying he was asked a favor from a close friend who runs an escort aid company, to be a date for someone. He eventually ends up doing it?

Young-jae is amazed that the most high profile person from Miam wants her to work for his new company, City Lights. She turns in her letter of resignation and proudly quits her job thinking she can finally pursue her dreams. With great excitement she goes to work and is shocked to learn that the owner of City Lights is that creep Joong-suh, the one she took as her date to the party. Later they find out that Junghwan had mistaken her for Joo Young-joo in the planning department of Miam. Joong-suh tells her that it was a mistake and that he is sorry but they can hire her. She stubbornly insists on staying. Meanwhile, Eun-jae goes to Philip house with some food only to find that he is with another girl, one of their colleagues, Yoon-jae. Philip says that it a good thing that she found about them and calls off the engagement. Joong-suh is shocked when the model house that he constructed catches fire. He tries everywhere to find the special lighting they used for the model house but ends up with nothing. Just then Young-jae goes out to the factory that made the lighting for them?

Miam Joo Young-joo comes to City Lights and asks for a job. Joong-suh can hide his gratitude to her for coming on her own to work at his company. Joong-suh asks Young-jae to leave for the company sake but she ignores him and stays. Eun-jae goes to Philip apartment and calls him, but he doesn answer, so she waits in front of the apartment. She boils with anger when she sees Yoon-jae walking out of his apartment. Meanwhile, Young-jae is on her way home from the grocery store when she sees a sauna remodeling site. She is very interested by what she sees. When she hears that they have not yet decided on a lighting company, her eyes shine with excitement. Chan-ha tells Young-joo about a plan to build the biggest cocktail bar on Cheju Island and that City Lights should bid to be the main lighting company for it?
Eps. 4
Joong-suh decides to attend the cocktail bar launch presentation in Cheju and meets Chan-ha. He tells Joong-suh that he wants to see Young-jae happy and to put in a bid. Chan-ha calls Young-jae to tell her that he saw a falling star like he used to when they were dating. Joong-suh sees Young-jae smiling next to Chan-ha and gets a weird feeling inside. Eun-jae goes to Philip apartment and sorts out Yoon Jae belongings and takes them home with her and waits for her to call. While she is waiting she starts to feel miserable.

Young-jae goes to the opening ceremony of City Light first project but leaves in a hurry when she hears that her father Bong-soo has gone to meet Philip. Meanwhile Joong-suh waits in the sauna for Young-jae to bring his clothes back, not knowing that she left. Young-jae goes back to the office to drop off some papers and sees Joong-suh pondering over a project proposal. Young-jae offers to help and while working on the proposal together they start feeling strange toward each other and are uncomfortable being together. Meanwhile, Chan-ha looks over a proposal that Joong-suh wrote that Young-joo gave and decides to use it as a framework for improving theirs?The day Eun-jae parents and Philip parents are supposed to be introduced to each other Philip does not show up. Instead he sends back the wedding gifts they gave to each other at their engagement. She becomes very angry at the sight of them. Back at the presentation in Cheju, Chan-ha sends Young-jae the clothes he prepared for her?
Eps. 6
Chan Ha tells Young Jae he waited for this day for 3 years and proposes to her. She is surprised and doesn know what to say, she just gets a strange feeling looking at the ring. Joong Suh gets angry at Chan Ha for seeing Youn-jae and punches him. Meanwhile Young-joo takes pictures of the proposals with Young-jae cellular phone in order to make her look like the spy who gave all of City Light information to Miam. Joong-suh comes upon Young-jae phone and happens to open it and is surprised at what he sees. Hoping to change Philip mind, Soon-jum writes him a letter and sends it to him, but he doesn even read it; he laughs about it with Yoon-ji instead. Eun-jae sees this and starts to plan revenge. Joong-suh starts to distrust Young-jae and asks her not to come to work anymore?
Eps. 7
After suffering from motion sickness Joong-suh notices that Young-jae is gone and he goes out looking for her. He sees Young-jae and Chan-ha together and starts to feel jealous. After noticing the ring on Young-jae finger he keeps trying to pick a fight with her. When he hears from Chan-ha that he proposed to her, he takes her over his shoulder and tells Chan-ha that he can take her away from him. They start to have a quarrel, which soon turns into a fistfight. Watching this Young-jae gets angry and yells at them. Young-jae takes Chan-ha and Joong-suh to have a drink so they can make up but she ends up drinking more than them and gets so drunk that the two guys have to carry her back to the hotel. On the way back to the hotel they decide to play fair in both love and work. In the morning Joong-suh cooks some book uh soup for Young-jae thinking that it would be good for her to have for breakfast because she drank so much the night before?

Joong Suh tells Chan Ha that he really isn Young Jae boyfriend and that he went to the party with her because she hired someone to be her date, Young Jae hears everything and tells Joong Suh that she l quit her job. Chan Ha takes Young Jae out to make her feel better and Joong Suh goes back to the office and finds it a complete mess and Junghwan face all bruised. He stares at Young Jae desk and starts to miss her. The next morning Chan Ha calls Young Jae to see how she doing and asks if she would like to have dinner with him but she tells him that she already has plans and goes to teach Joong Suh father how to cook. Young Jae comes to City Lights to pack up her stuff and asks Joong Suh why he made soup for her back at Cheju and Joong Suh asks back why she hugged him. She tells him it was because she loved him?

Young Jae takes over City Lights and works busily to gather some clients. Meanwhile, Joong Suh goes into his dad department store and starts work there but hates the job and has no will to work. Philip keeps being nice to Eun Jae and helps her with her work, seeing this she starts to slowly change her mind about Philip and starts liking him again. An opportunity for a promotion comes to both Eun jae and Philip. Eun Jae works crazily to write up a proposal but?Young Jae feels sorry toward Chan Ha when she has Joong Suh in her heart so she goes to give back the ring he gave her?

Young Jae goes to Joong Suh father to ask for a sales booth in their department store but because he does not like her being with his son, he tells her that he can and to never come back. Joong Suh father grudgingly gives Young Jae a sale booth after Philip mother, a very close friend of his, tells him to give her a booth and just watch her but he ends up seeing the CCTV recording of Joong Suh stealing some king crab and orders for Young Jae booth to be closed. After an exhibition at Miam, Young Jae hears from Young Joo that it was Chan Ha who ordered her to be a spy?

Young Jae tells Joong Suh that she would like to start a serious relationship with him and he is very surprised at the sudden suggestion and doesn say anything for a minute then he starts to laugh, but Soon Jum doesn like Joong Suh and starts to be cruel to him and tells him not to see her daughter ever again. Philip works very hard in order to try making up for his mistake and becomes in charge of some Japanese customers but they do not like him because of his insidious eye?In order to separate Joong Suh and Young Jae, Joong Suh father uses his powers and makes it so that no work makes it into Young Jae company?

Young Jae gets very angry when she finds out who Joong Suh father is and fires him but he says that it not fair and that he going to report it to the Ministry of Labor. In order to trick Philip, Eun Jae lets Philip over hear some information about a fake company. Not knowing that it fake Philip steals the information from her and persuades Yoon Joo father in investing great money into it. So her father borrows money from friends and invests into the company. A construction contract with a resort gets canceled because of Joong Suh father and so Young Joo tries to sell the lighting that they were supposed to use for the construction. But it not as easy as she thought to sell five thousand light bulbs. Just then she comes upon an ad for buying light bulbs in the classified ads. They say that they will buy all the light bulbs at a good price and so Young Jae and Jung Hwan go but they find out that it is a fraud?

Joong Suh gets angry at seeing Young Jae and Chan Ha together and throws his cellular phone, it hits a lighting post and breaks the lighting. Just then an employee of city hall was walking by and sees him. He takes Joong Suh directly to the police station. Young Jae runs to the police station hearing that the lighting was broken. She is surprised to see that the person who broke it was Joong Suh, with a reindeer doll, a reindeer scarf, and necklace. The police officer tells him to come down to an agreement with her but he refuses. Eventually he goes to the detention hall. Joong Suh father meets Eun Jae at a garden party at their house and thinks she is the person fit to marry Joong Suh. Young Jae tells Joong Suh that he is someone very special to her and tells him to come back to work as a lighting designer?

After settling a lawsuit with Miam, Joong-suh asks Young-jae to go on a trip with him over the weekend. Young-jae, excited about the trip, goes to a lingerie shop with Eun-jae. Joong-suh reassures his dad by telling him that he l go to America and prepares for the weekend trip with Young-jae. After coming back from the trip with many great memories, Young-jae works hard on the Seoul project, while President Uhm keeps complaining that he been having bad dreams and packs to go see his son, Joong-suh, who he believes to be in America...
Eps. 15
President Uhm finally approves of Joong-suh and Young-jae relationship and tells Young-jae to shut down the lighting company and go to Italy, where Joong-suh has gotten a job offer at Lialto, and get a college diploma. Young-jae, who thinks of both love and work are precious, tells Joong-suh that she l think about the matter more thoughtfully. Joong-suh buys books about Italy to give to Young-jae. Ae-ri tells Young-jae, who been worrying about whether to go to Italy or not, that no one can gain love without losing something else. Young-jae decides to go to Italy...
