Not to mention very good looking! Jang NaRa is adorable and a very good actress! Great plot! Romantic, Funny and binge worthy! Everyone did great in their roles! Loved it!

Vera Jun 21 2023 9:22 pm I'm loving this show even though it's pretty sappy but what more could you say with this phenomenal cast the two jangs absolutely superb he is so gorgeous and she's so adorable. There is one oxymoron though when she was crying and saying save the baby and let me go, since she was only 3 months pregnant if she died so would the baby it was no way to save the baby and not her too. But other than that this reminds me of some of the old movies I used to watch with my mom and dad on The late late show on TV. You have Penny serenade, love with the proper stranger, and an affair to remember there's a little bit of each one of those in this dramedy. I've been binging on it for 2 days and nights I'm just about done and looking forward to the next performances by these two wonderful actors.

That's what art is supposed to be: content with wisdom and depth, delivered in a colourful, inspiring and enjoyable manner. When I fall hook, line and sinker for the whole cast of a drama it's proof that everyone did an outstanding job!

All of the actors and actresses carried their own characters well. All of the scenes, characters, episodes, OSTs and even the places had an impact on me. This drama ate and left no crumbs. It will make you laugh, cry, a little bit frustrated, and most especially; loved. Where can I find my own Lee Gun in this world? (ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣̣﹏ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣̣)

Worth it to give a 10/10. It is a masterpiece and will make you feel warm. 100% recommendable.

All characters did well and i love jang na-ra, jang hyuk, choi and woosik. I can't stop not starring at their faces.

1st series that satisfied me. Full! It has start, middle and ending part meaning i didn't left me hanging in the end wether what happens to the characters. Each are given ending stories.

Thank u Netflix. I got to watch it again since it was 1st aired here in Philippines.

A great storyline that takes you thru the last episode without even being bored for 1 sec. Funny, romantic, emotional and a great cast! The 2 leads, what to say: great actors, superb performance, great chemistry. Jang Hyuk, one of my fav actors, so sexy and goodlooking but what an A+ actor!

The storyline doesnt make any sense, its not realistic at all. I need to shut off my brain when I watch this drama because of so many unbelievable thing happen in this drama. I could list many other drama that would be better to watch than this drama. But i have this guilty pleasure when i watch this drama, that roller coaster emotion i got, that happy and silly moment, shaking my head because of how silly the story development and so on. Still, I watch it till the end because simply I hooked with jang jang couple here. Their acting are superb and made me root for this couple in drama. This drama is kinda fulfil the dream of getting out of real life and living in fantasy land which is everything will be much sunshine and unicorn and we'll live happily ever after forever. That kind of feeling...

Jang Hyuk acting was good, the character is strong, plus his loud laughter :D)) he can show the full figure of the eccentric Lee Gun. Maybe also in real life character Jang Hyuk also like that, he can be very natural and catch the right scene for laugh too. Jang Nara also makes it very interesting, she can play 2 different snail characters alternately, without the audience feeling the changes she plays. Overall the actors and actresses acting roles are good ?, only the storyline or episodes is quite long, so there are parts of the story that are boring, but must be watched because it complements other parts of the story. thanks for this drama, good luck always

I knew it was remarkable from the very first watch, but I never expect I have explode emotions every time I rewatch. I have headache after watching 2 or 3 episodes continuously. Because my mood was going up and down. I laughed like never before and shed tear, little by little. As a man, I wonder why would I feel in this much, it is just a melodrama like every other ones I have watched. I can handle 5 or 6 thrilling, heart-catching or crime fighting dramas without getting tired but I had to stop a lots to control my mood and mental health when watching this drama. The Jang couple play perfectly. I can feel them a lots. I realized most of Jang Nara dramas make me shed tears. And most of Jang Hyuk dramas drives me crazy, just like how he performs. But the eyes.. can tell how good or bad an actor be. I've grown older, softer. It is a sign of age. I can feel it when I watch K dramas. But everytime I watch a great drama like this, my soul stores more feelings about life, my life. It's always new to rewatch a good drama, only if you dont watch it over and over repeatedly.

But what an amazing performance of Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra. So powerful, what a chemistry between the two. Both also charismatic actors. I really recommend it to watch, it s really a must! For sure i am planning to watch it a second time!!!

The two leads have great chemistry. You’ll find a lot of the story will have elements of your own experiences of life . Be that sad or happy . Highly recommend!!!!

I was so captivated by Jang Hyuk's weird character and peculiar laugh while Jang Nara was just so lovable. This drama made me shed tears, yes lots of them tears! ? And then made me laugh til my tummy ached ??. This may sound passe for kdrama watchers, but watching FTLY was an emotional roller coaster ride.. I'm giving it thousands of thumbs ups and millions of hearts!

Thought 16 eps would have been enough but nope, got me going & wishing for more episodes! Totally looooved this kind of fairy tale ending too! And the chemistry is daebak. I love everything about jae hyuk’s acting even his laugh!

Xi May 09 2020 9:10 am If they could remake this using the original actors, minus the over-the-top stuntman things, plus those weird overly theatrical moments & change the annoying laugh into another tic rather, I would probably watch it again lol. I prefer understated series, realism with the kind of unexpected quick wit & humour that makes you burst out laughing when u don't expect to. The slapstick weird stuff isn't my thing, but saying that - I did get hooked to this story & simply had to watch till the end to find out what happens.

Karen Sep 24 2019 6:07 am The laughter from Lee Geun annoyed the hell out of me all through this movie, until the second last episode ( I think ) when we finally realise why it seemed so forced.

This drama is one of the best I've watched in a long time. It has everything, tears, laughter, angels and asshats. The leads are brilliant and happy endings all around leave you with a good feeling.

He made a fuck1ng annoying sounds and laughing like crazy cows which ruins the moment! Other than that, i enjoyed. But the moment he made stupid sounds, i makes me switch to other dramas!

fated to love you Apr 28 2019 5:31 am i finally decided to watch this drama and it was definitely great until ep 10 I am on episode 11 and the main guy has just lost his memory and has forgotten his times with the main girl (I am so freakin annoyed.. like seriously did they have to do that!!) it was a bit like when jun pyo in boys over flowers lost his memory it made me feel somewhat empty and made my stomach churn (not the most pleasant feeling)

but I guess other than that so far it has been quite a good drama!!

2nd lead syndrome Feb 20 2019 11:39 pm I just want to say that why do I always had a 2nd lead syndrome BUT when Jin Hyuk paired with Na Ra in The Last Empress I'm just rooting for Sung Rok's happiness I knew he was wrong but I just adore him so much and I end up with a 2nd lead syndrome again lol

WOAHyah Sep 02 2018 11:15 am I finished this in two days. I’ve binge watch it over the weekend. And I dont regret not going out at all. What an emotional roller coaster ride. I’ll never forget the part where Jang Na Ra read the book she wrote to their baby right after the accident. Heartbreaking. Jang Na Ra was so good in this, I love her acting so much. She’s just so natural, some actress crying scene is annoying and I couldnt even sympathise their situation but that scene truly breaks my heart. Give this a watch, its worth all the time and tears.

The first time I watched it, the suspense of them getting together and breaking up and then trying to find each other again but lost in their own way, had my heart speed racing. The writing was excellent. I didn't want the series to end.

What can I say!!! I was totally in love with the story.. plot so interesting.. with great acting delivered by Jang Hyuk n Na Ra..these two were so sweet n awesome.. just finished watching the first time and gonna repeat it soon.. Kudos to all the casts n everyone involved in FTLY..

Hamohamo Nov 29 2017 9:21 pm OMG... where to begin. I freakin love this drama to death I'm so upset that I just discovered it about a week ago. I'm just... wowed. It's an oddie, but definitely a goodie. I loved the acting, plot, and chemistry between the mains. This drama made it to my top dramas,(which I only had one out of the millions I've watched lol). So now, I have two favorite dramas :D (If anyone is wondering about my other one, it's "Kill me, Heal me"). It just gave me so many feels, so much emotion going on that I either feel like dying of sadness or laughter. When a drama does that, it's The One. I just can't get enough of it, I want to rewatch it already. This drama made me fall in love with Jang Hyuk; his crazy laugh, his charisma, his deep-low voice, everything! I would hands down recommend this drama to everyone and anyone. 11/10

That laugh match his manly voice..hahaha.. Im laughing so much in this drama.. I love love his hair fashion... minus the one that cut his hair in the middle.. He's sooo hot in episode 13. love love him so much.. My favorite line:

Lee Gun: give up! Give up! Daniel: There's no giving up in my dictionary. Lee Gun: Ill buy you a new dictionary..

I laugh soo hard.. :) Jang Hyuks eyes was soo emotional. When he's happy, sad, suffered.. You can feel all that kinds of emotion... :) Its worth to watch guys. I dont know why they hate the sad part of this.. coz I think it gave life to the story.. But I cried my eyes soo much but there's a funny scene that was inserted so Im okay with that.. :) great Job guys!!

This is one of the best kdrama .... i regretted that i almost miss a very good drama ... i laugh, fell in love and cried in the drama ... really a gem ... Good job director and writer ... i love jang yuk and jang na ra .. #big fan

It also kind of got weird at the end when it felt like they were just trying to stretch the show out for a few more episodes. Worth watching for sure.

I hope Cho Jin Hyuk's knee heals well. I like him in this drama and Pride and Prejudice. I saw him for the first time in Kang Chi. He looked so handsome which he is.

The colours, in the food, in the scenery, and in the CLOTHES, wow! It's like watching a moving Monet. Great fun to watch. A feast for the eyes. ....(Korean men sure can wear the colour yellow like Native Canadians can. :) Double wow.

mali May 08 2015 11:11 am So after watching FTLY over at least 10 I just couldn't find dramas to match the incredible acting this movie had. I was even depressed. I recently saw my love from the stars and yes it was good but I wasn't so emotionally involved...maybe it's because it wasn't as realistic too me and the lead actress why did it have to be a famous actress could have been just an ordinary girl..So I was just ok but not super spectular. Until I started going backwards and found ls not well known drama but for all you Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara fans who recognize true acting....They are not in this movie but the leading male and female stars actually the whole cast are just amazing. Padam Padam in korean meaning two heart beats as one or something like that. This had restored my love for korean dramas. It is what a korean drama is all about. I am still a huge of FTLY but those that can recognize true acting at its finest check this one out.

I went to work the next day...and was waiting for someone to ask me who died, my eyes were soooo swollen.lol...I watched this on netflix at least 3 times already and noticed no subtitles to the song Daniel sings to Kim Mi Young in the 2nd to last episode. They were both teary eyed.........but do not what he sang in english.

Eventhough there is the typical theme of the handsome, rich man with the female character playing the poor, awkward, not so attractive co-star---this movie gives you so much more. Firstly, the acting by the various characters is superb. Secondly, the fashion as well as the set/decor is very smart looking. Thirdly, Jang Na-ra allows the viewers to feel every emotion that she is experiencing while playing the character Kim Mi-young--you laugh, cry, and feel her joy and pain---she draws you in. Fourthly, both main male characters are sexy and very handsome--both bring their "A game" (top acting skills)--there is so much pleasure watching both interact with the character Kim Mi-young. You root for both characters to win over her love. Fifthly, the various family structures add a great deal of interest to the production. Lastly, the music is well chosen and well performed. There is so much more that is right with this movie. Could not stop watching and really appreciated the superb quality of the production.

Initially I almost stopped after the first episode, some over the top scenes not very believable and usually the male lead is alot younger but after the 2nd episode. I was hooked. I cried my eyes senseless in the obvious scenes and Jang Hyuk made me feel like a teenager having a idol crush all over again. So those that have not seen this yet. Don't get discouraged have patience but this one is truly a shining gem(pun intended) for those that know.

Fated To Watch You Feb 19 2015 4:07 pm Pros: I just finished this show after binge watching for a week. The plot is a cliche one to me, similar to I do I do.

Except that, this couple hook up in a slightly different way.

The story between the 2 leads is a great one.

The chemistry between Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk is awesome.

I find Hyuk to be a refreshing change from most male leads who usually aren't past 30 years old.

So it was nice to see a handsome lead over 30, who actually looks like he hit puberty a long time ago.

The K-drama break up slump was JUST right, at a point where I was questioning if these 2 characters loved each other they got back together. (SPOILER) I did like that the in-laws, upon first marriage did approve. None of that "She comes from a bad family don't marry her" crap. The 2nd female lead, Wang Jiwon was awesome, so I was disappointed when she did get nasty. I was surprised to learn that she is a real life ballet dancer so all her ballet dancing scenes were authentic. The story is upbeat and will leave you interested, wanting to see more.

Couple of makeout scenes here and there, non graphic sex scenes...

They l1et you know it's happening though. lol Happy endings for everyone.

I can't find any information about it. I can only figure it's Android.. Snails. I have an irrational fear of Snails so seeing them so much on my HD TV, freaked me out.

So many things: the chemistry of the main actors, the tragedy of losing the baby, Jang's character with a deceivingly weak personality, and mostly the sense of humor by which the script takes on the characters. For instance, at some point the Snail tells her mom about Gun's laugh! and at another Gun' talks about a dream when he met not Mi Young but Jang! Realty loved this series.

The atmosphere of love really defines the meaning of true love. It is indeed fate to meet two people who are strangers. Kim Mi Young;s character is simply adorable. As a woman, she has characterized a lovely, kind and considerate person. Lee Gun's role is definitely romantic despite that he is an aristocrat. He has pure and loving heart. I really recommend this drama because it has some moral lesson to learn. It's a must watch. It's one of the best korean dramas I've ever seen. Congrats to all the characters and staff.. You, indeed made my heart felt happy. :)

SamIAm Feb 05 2015 1:18 pm This is one of my favorite Romantic Comedy KDrama. The leads have great chemistry. In the Chinese version the male lead was such a jerk and liar I could barely stand him. This version had so much more heart and you can see and feel Gun falling in love with Mi-Young even though he did not want to. He made her value herself, to be crazy glue instead of a post it. And I love how he keeps doing the opposite of what I thought he might do.Jang Hyuk was so funny. I became a solid fan because of Gun. I didn't think he was good looking but felt he was adorable as Gun. Went and saw several of his other Dramas, but I really like him in comedy. Hope he does more. I cracked up every time Gun laugh. Thought it was weird at first but in the end it fit his character well. They also did a good job with the make-overs and change in appearances. KDrama can have very under whelming makeovers like Geum Jan Di in Boys Over Flowers - Her clothes and hairs were hideous even when they were trying to make her look good.

darinara Jan 19 2015 5:27 pm first 10 episodes are boring , i was about to stop watching it , but i continued it , but still it wasn't that much. the last episode was really nice i loved it the plot is good it's actually very good but there is a lot of moments that you wished you didn't waste your time watching this drama . i dont no why you guys are comparing it with (the heirs ) they are different this drama is for the elder people more than teens and the heirs are more for the teens even though there is a similarity about the heir and the son of the chairman , they're still quite different and for me i prefer the heirs i would watch it over and over again but this one i will never repeat it .

Toon Jan 03 2015 8:28 pm Just finish watched all the episode, it's was the best K-drama for me so far, compare to the heirs, prime minister and I, etc.. I really like the story from start to end, especially how the couple (kim and gunn) became together in mid-end episode and struggle for their love, different with typical Other K-drama which only end with separate each others and ended up with (only) hugging and bammm "finished".. This FTLY show that K-drama can show the finished story of the character, surely I'm very satisfied from FLTY, they make me laugh so hard, and cry at the same time.. Jang na ra became my second fav actress <3 still below park shin hye <3 <3

lala Nov 29 2014 6:21 am I watched this drama after masters sun and I just cant believe the difference in ratings..this show is so much better than masters sun both in terms of story and acting.. I wonder why the ratings are so average..the acting of the lead actors especially jang hyuk is impeccable with such variations in expressions and emotions which makes every second of the show so engrossing..and the comic timings of the characters is unbelievably perfect..for me the best drama of 2014

Both of them made the character successful. Lee Gun and Mi Young's acting make you feel comfortable, sweet and lovable. Jang Hyuk acting Lee Gun is extremely great, I found JH is a great actor in action, comedy and emotions, support him forever. Don't miss this drama, the best drama ever!!!!

As the story goes, it is another cinderella story, but a very well executed one. I will not tell any spoiler here, but I cannot believe the low rating for this series. I would really love of other posters can tell me better dramas in 2014 and why it was ranked not top three in Korea.

The casts are great, the main actors whom I first watched due to this series are very gopd. Even the supporting ones are great.

Just when I thought kpop can no longer produce great drama, this one came out as a winner, albeit it is adapted from a Taiwanese series. Ah, the series is so good that I promised to check out the original Taiwanese version.

A very recommended watch and kudos to the actors and movie makers.

BUT Fated to Love You and Jang Hyuk ruin my these so called favorites. WOW! Jang Hyuk is an exceptional actor. He can act everything. I feel in love with him. I'm now a huge fan of him or should I say He is now my no.1 favorite of them all. Everything about FTLY is great from episodes 1 to 20. Two thumbs up!!! High recommended.... I dont know if i can get over this drama because I re-watching it over and over and over again and never get tired. LUVVVV IT SOOOOO MUCH!!!!

my3views Oct 21 2014 2:31 am Jang Hyuk & Na Ra brought the writers creative writing to a life pulsing reality, I was 100% into the characters. I hadn't seen Jang HYuk play an off beat type f character before but he sure pulled off with style and finesse Na Ra- well I couldn't imagine another actress doing any better with this role then she did. The drama starts off light but your quickly drawn into deeper emotional water. The director, the actors the writers and Ailee's ost all blended into a creative kiln that set our hearts glowing.

They made the right choice choosing Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara as leads. The emotions they shown are perfect. Lee Gun character is one of my fav kdrama male characters. He's very different from other chaebol characters. Despite being loud & kinda 'crazy', he's a very capable CEO & a warm, responsible, protective man towards Mi Young. I laughed, cried and smiled a lot watching this drama :')

Deb Oct 02 2014 2:08 pm the first half was great but the second half post-tragedy dragged on too long with the angst and the show lost momentum and picked it back up a bit at the end with fan service. It should have been 16 episodes instead of 20. Either way, the JJangs MAKE this drama. Their phenomenal acting and chemistry saved it from being a mediocre drama. They are endearing. I think it would have been one of the best kdrama rom-coms ever if it weren't for the second half where the story went around in circles. It will probably be a classic since the couple and numerous supporting characters are quite loveable.

JH is very popular and an excellent actor in SK..and so the writer might be a fan of him.. Secret Garden,Kim Joo-won char. was written also base on JH but for some valid reason, JH drop it before the airing and Hyun Bin got it.

and FTLY is for the reunion of the Jjang after 12years..They are known to be the First Romcom Loveteam and successfully gained the highest rating in SK..anyway 2014 is the year of the kdrama loveteam reunion..hahahaha

He keeps flipping it back in a feminine kind of way which is very off putting. I hated to see it end, I only wish the writers would have had more time to develop Daniel Pitt and his missing sister Mi Young and their reunion more....but, with the time constraints I understand it was impossible.

To the entire cast, thank you for the wonderful portrayals and energy you put into each character....I will miss, Dragon (Choi Woo Sik), you were so lovable in this drama. I will miss Secretary Tak (Choi Dae Choel) but I'm watching you in Come, Jang Bo Ri (so I won't miss you too much...and you are hilarious in that drama too). I will most definitely miss both Jang's Hyuk and Na Ra, you were both terrific in this drama. Choi Jin-Hyuk, words cannot describe how great it is to watch you on-screen, I hope the next 2 years pass quickly and you return to t.v/films with no troubles...please take care of yourself Choi Jin-Hyuk.

Davia Sep 07 2014 6:43 pm This is one of the most enjoyable KD's that I have watched. I like it even more than Master's Sun last year which was a riot. KD quality has been declining in the last couple of years so I was very very grateful to find this drama. I wasn't sure at first if I would like it but then it just accelerated. There is a minor slump in the middle with the cliche amnesia but don't worry it gets even better after that. An incredibly creative, heartfelt, well acted and funny drama!!! The Taiwanese version was really good but this version is just phenomenal.

but kudos to the actress Jang Nara as she was able to deliver her role in a different way than the original, I'm a sucker for a damsel in distress kind of chracters... The main guy was quite good with serious scenes but not with funny ones as I find it oa..

Ceejay Aug 31 2014 12:44 am The original was "a ok", too contemporary to it's own script. This drama has that little corny stuff in it, that made people squirm in some situation. To me..it made the drama more unique in it's own category. I like it that way..to stand in it's own weight.

Never before I cried on any k drama but I cried, laughed and admired the beauty of both lead on this drama. Good job on the script writing, directing and cinematography. Hope to see soon the fun and cuteness of it that I enjoyed in the first half. I will be very dissapointed if they do not get any award that they deserved. Seen ep. 16, 4 times already.

I mean he just came and sat next to her and managed to express how much he is yearning to have her , to keep her , to tell her the truth but is forced to lie and pretend he's cool and smile .... and it was not necessary in this scene , but the Amazing actor that he is , never breaks out of character and kept that angst inside him all along .... ..... ..... .... .... ...... it is the little things that make this show so much better than all the rest ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... .... ..... I mean think of "Secret Garden" as just another rich jerk Chaebol falling for the poor girl.... a Cinderella story w/ the twist of a body-swap ...so what !... still cliche .... BUT , the little things , like Joo-Won's monologues about his hand stitched clothes, the gaudy track suits, the sit-up scene, Hyun Bin's performance and ability to make us cry when he was writing her the letter , etc... ---->>> those are the things that make it a classic .... and those are the details and the great cast and acting and writing that make this show GREAT !!! ...... ...... ...... ..... ..... ..... ..... P.S. .... the Music Director or Sound Editor deserve an AWARD !!! ---->>> Everything .... from playing bits of the "Chuno" OST as a gag on Jang Hyuk , or the video of JH's old days as a rapper , to the creepy music at the psychiatrist's office as Jang Hyuk , looking eerily like "The joker" from Batman , expresses his sexual frustration ...... ..... every piece of music , the choice is --->>> .. I like so many who have commented, can't wait for Wednesday/Thursday evenings...the week seems to progress so slow when you're waiting for the drama you like to air....haha. Anyways, it's been extremely entertaining...i've laughed, cried, sighed, fake-fainted, fangirl'd all in one episode.

I ship all of the characters pairings in this drama...Gun x Mi Young aka Snail/Ellie Kim, Daniel x Mi Young aka Ellie Kim, Yong aka Slug/Dragon x Gun, Yong x Mi Young, Chairwoman Wang x Mi Young, Gun x Chairwoman, Gun x Dr. Octupus, Ji-Yeon x Yong, Ji-Yeon x Mi Young, Director Tak x Gun (really love Director Tak...dancing is hilarious!!!!)....the whole cast.

I know everyone does not want to see Daniel with Mi Young, and K dramas are always predictable, but wouldn't it be awesome if the writers stunned us by doing the opposite of what's expected and put Daniel and Mi Young together and Gun and Se Ra together...afterall it is call Fated To Love You....I hope the writers give me what I wish for the most.

This version I think is better than the original but I did enjoy that too. Goodbye my Love is played a lot on you tube in my house. Can't wait for Wednesday and Thursday for the next episodes thank goodness for the lovely people who translate it into English.

I never thought he would be able to pull it off!!! Jang Na Ra is so perfect for this part, and she's playing the character right on! I'm only on Episode 14 with 6 more to go til the end, and I keep trying to pull for Choi Jin-Hyuk to win the girl. In the end, though, I hope Choi Jin-Hyuk (Daniel) comes in second to Jang Hyuk (Gun)... I should never look at how a show is doing in the local ratings because I can never understand them... This show should be ruling its time slot which makes me wonder what's on at the same time?! Love this show. Love the writers. Love the actors...

I said that it's shaping up to be my favorite drama of 2014, and they we all feel that it may well be one of those all-time classics that people watch again and again. Episode 12 was really sad and I felt really sorry for Kim Mi Young's miscarriage. Now that Lee Gun and Kim Mi Young didn't see each other for 3 years, Kim Mi Young is going to be a bitch to Lee Gun. Kim Mi Young's personality changed a lot within the 3 years and she's more comfident, she's not a pushover anymore, and she has a great career ahead of her. Can't wait for episode 13.

balang Aug 08 2014 12:48 pm this version did not include some of the best scenes in the original (taiwanese) version. it kinda dissapointed me. what's with the alzheimer-kind sickness? too cliche. they should have stick to the original plot. the actors should have been best in portraying the original plot. the accident part in episode 12 is make your tears fall but the original scene will make you cry a bucket.

It has a charm all on its own that sets it apart from the original (take note i loved that too so much so that its one of my faves) altho basically they have the same characters and plot. Props to the actors, the director and scriptwriter for a job well done and for successfully injecting their own take on the story! They made it their own even if it was a remake!

ray Aug 06 2014 5:02 am I'm sorry to say this, but I didn't really like the drama. I tried really hard to like it. After all, the original one is one of my favorite. And I like both the main character, so that's a plus. But sadly to say, it's a rather turn off. Lots of the comment said that the excitement would pick up after the second episode, but I haven't found it yet (currently at ep.8, but halt it until the drama ends or until I found a reason to continue). I expect less from Jin Hyuk, but Jang Na Ra and Jang Hyuk are both a senior and I watch a lot of their work, so it disappoints me a lot. There are a lot of good remake drama, but this is (still) not one of them. The excitement is still picking up, but still not at the point where I would recommend this drama. I sure hope that they'll make it better. After all, it's already a half series. Still keeping my finger crossed.

They are both so heartwarming and funny. This drama is probably now one of my favorites. Although, so real drama is about to go down after episode 10.

Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra are amazing...both of the male leads are totally hilarious...this drama get's better and better with each episode....the only think I hate is that it airs on Wednesday and Thursday and after I watch both episodes...it seems like the follow week comes so slowly, but when it finally arrives, it's a great relief and satisfaction.

The main lead guy in the T version was mean and rude to the main lead girl and he started to fall in love with her when she was getting closer to the other guy who was the rival. When the main lead girl left with the rival guy to Shanghai and was with him for 3 years, the main lead guy was deeply in love with her around that time. It will be interesting to see how this drama turns out in the end.

I hope he will be like a 'godmother' to Mi Young and in the end to found out that they are brother and sister. First giving thanks to the script writers, the casting directors, the directors and producers and last but never least the ladies and gentlement that have breath life into their respective characters. I have watched a few if not all of theses actors and actresses in other dramas and I could tell from the first episode this was gonna be a DEVINE DRAMA!

I totally ship Gun and Mi Young (they are two cute), I ship Daniel and Mi Young (talk about total undercover hotness...I hope that Mi Young doesn't end up being his long lost sister...just saying), I ship Daniel and Gun (the jealousy it is hilariously amazing and the actors are fantastic in portraying it), I ship Director (Chief) Tak and Gun (funny! nothing else needed) and I totally ship Grandmother/Company President Wang and Gun and Mi Young (she is so sincere in wanting Gun and Mi Young to workout and about wanting a grand-baby).

Again the entire cast is beautiful....I've watched a lot of these actors and actresses in other dramas, so I am not a new fan....Jang Hyuk, just finished watching you in The Client, Jang Na-Ra, just finished re-watching you in High School 2013, Choi Jin-Hyuk, of course I had to re-watch you in I Need Romance, Gu Family Book and Emergency Couple all at the same time...I'm so for real, Wang Ji-Won, in I Need Romance 3, Choe Dae-Cheol, I'm watching you in Come, Jang Bo-Ri (you are killer in this drama) right now, and Na Young-Hee I currently watching you in Mother's Garden....so hats off to all of the actresses and actors in this drama....

I wish for this drama to have extremely high ratings and I pray that a lot of people will tune in, a lot of positive people and that each one of use are truly entertained and that the cast is rewarded for all of the hard work and effort they put into this drama.

However.... I am really disappointed with the main actress, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but she is horrrrrrible. She is annoying and she can't act, why would they cast her as the main actress. Just because of this I say that this korean drama deserves the same score as the Taiwanese drama.:-(

I cannot compare the taiwan n korean because both the production was well. I think Janghyuk more suitable than the Taiwanese, and Jang nara was very beautiful including their well played characters.

BTW, i watched the taiwan drama. well, for me this remake is much better than korean did with japanese drama. Korean humour and taiwan humour is difference. If they keep the same pattern then it will be like re-watching the same drama. They have a difference way to perform the male and lead male so i think it is refreshing to watch it even after i watched the taiwan version. The taiwan drama is more Theatrical comedy/comical comedy, the korean version more trot or gag comedy. If you asking which one i like better then i have to watch it till the end. As far as i watched till episode 4 i enjoy watching this drama. i hope they have great rating coz after YAAS there will be deadly duo Jo insung and Goo Hyeo Jin. That will be a tight competition. JANGHYUK oppa, Keeping up that lunatic character, it is really change the whole story XD i love the way Janghyuk oppa change from a wacky and self-center Gun to a cool and kind heart Gun. Jang Nara make the best company, she will perform a good heartbreaking caracther. And Choi Jinhyuk, stop stealing my heart with your smile!!!! i will be lonely after you get into the army camp.

God I've always, always, always love that version. watched it 2-3 times already, and I feel like re-watching now after reading this. :") And God now i know that there is korean version, I'm dying to watch it. I wonder if this version would give me the same impact as the taiwan version did. I hope this doesn't disappoint me, but who knows maybe it will give me greater impact. who knows? Also... I see that people says "I'm glad I didn't watch the original". I hope that people like Korean version more than taiwanese due to its storyline not 'because it's from Korea'. Or I'll be really sad that people choose this version rather than the Taiwanese version because of this irrelevant reason. Seriously I love watching ming zhong zhu ding wo ai ni~^^ makes me feel that babies are precious.

However, after watching episode 1, I was really disappointed; especially with Gun's character. It seems they are trying to overexaggerate to keep up with the Taiwanese form of humor and still keep the classic Korean acting style. But, after watching episode 2, it's starting to grow on me. I think it will be easier to watch if I just seperate them as two completely different shows and accept the differences in Cinematography and writing styles. I do hope, though, they will stop the overexageratedness and form a natural humor vibe in the show, so views can get the full effect of the emotional and serious parts.

I had always been a fan of drama and remember each drama vividly. when i first saw the title i hoped it was the remake. when i watched the first & second episodes i was sooo excited and cant wait for the future episodes. hope it is as good as the taiwanese version.

I skipped some of the episode just to get the ending. I really have high hopes for this drama. I really like Jang Na Ra, a bonus for me is the fact that Choi Jin-Hyuk oppa is in this drama too. Looking forward to see what the out come of the next episodes. =)

CICI Jul 05 2014 5:51 pm I disagree with Miz.. I think the acting in Fated to Love You (Korean version) is perfect. Jang Hyuk is sexy, funny charming and his usual multi-talented self. He has the cutest laugh! Jang Na-Ra looks really pretty and she always has such great style. I think she's one of Korea's best actresses and is playing her part right on. IMO, the emotional scenes and the comedy scenes are equally good and in no way take away from each other. So far, I can't remember when I've laughed so much at really funny, well written, well acted scenes. I hope the writer can keep it going because, I think this is on it's way to being one of the year's best Rom/Com's, if not THE best. I love watching this and I love Jang Hyuk + Jang Na-Ra. Fighting!

Rather than a selfish young man, his portrayal promises to be that of a mature, optimist. Can't wait to see the episodes unfold. Wang Ji-Won's portrayal of the career-minded dancer is something to look forward to because I can't see her as the insecure girlfriend; selfish yes but not clinging and insecure. And Choi Jin-Hyuk has to be the hardest working man in Korean drama this year - Heirs, Emergency Couple, Grandpa over Flowers and now this! Very versatile.

Shouldn't the plot be with a male lead that is arrogant, rich and a young successor of his family's business and the female lead be a innocent, careless and sloppy young office girl? And besides, if Choi Jin Hyuk were to become the second male lead, I think the main actress is a little too old for him... >~< Eventhough, she's only 33 years old but she actually kinda looks older than her age... Hmm... Seems like this korean version of Fated to Love You will be a little different. Hopefully it's better than the Taiwanese version one!

wisa Mar 24 2014 12:28 am interesting.... awful taiwanese drama being remade. I've always like the storyline seemed interesting to me. Jang hyuk taking on this role I can't really see that, it sure would be interesting. Jang- Na Ra only heard of her from drama baby faced or something like that. Well, I am actually glad that south korea is actually remaking this drama maybe it will be a thousand times better. Keeping fingers crossed.
