Yoon Na-Na (Hani) is a well regarded bartender at XX bar. She takes pride in her work and position as the head bartender. She doesn't involve herself in other parts of XX like selecting menu items or setup of the interior. Her dream is to open her own bar. One day, the new owner of XX appears in Yoon Na-Na. She is Lee Roo-Mi (Hwang Seung-Un). The two women were best friends 5 years ago, but something happened between them. Yoon Na-Na became upset at Lee Roo-Mi. Now, Lee Roo-Mi tries to make up with Yoon Na-Na, but it's not easy.

Instead, in my opinion, it needs to be looked at as a blueprint for Korean writers who are tired of repeating the same tropish dramas over and over.

What we have here are all the elements that could very well fill a 10, 12, or 16 episode drama, but basically stripped to only essential characters and scenes.

That means no: Office dinner Office Karaoke Someone rushed to hospital with enteritis Someone needs a bandaid for their heel Getting drunk and piggybacked Getting drunk and confessing Overbearing parents Annoying coworkers with uninteresting filler storylines Adults who've never had skinship Adults who've never dated or talked about dating Umbrella rescues

I hung on every scene and was anxious and emotional throughout. I definitely wanted more and I wish there could be a second season because I just don't see a universe where any of the 4 main characters would get boring. Especially after that ending.

I'm thirsting for more content like this. I recently finished Call It Love and I didn't know Ahn Hee-Yeon (Hani) at the time but I didn't care for her character. However, she's a great actress and I'm on my 4th show with her because she picks winning projects!

Belllrusss Feb 09 2022 1:00 pm I wished kdramas would keep their stories under 8 episodes only like this one did. So much better control over the storyline. This one is really just very nicely done. The plot wasnt groundbreaking or anything but it was very satisfyingly written. Everyone one was perfect except that maybe the male love interest is a bit too perfect making him seems a bit fake? Haha cuz i know that kinda guy never exist irl.

I love that the story involves mental health issues, girl power, gay character, and loyalty. I really really like this drama and i don't even mind that it is short. Hani and Seung Un did a good job here.

The story has a refreshing take on the usual betrayal between best friends. I love the bar as the dominant setting. It's not dated.

The actors, albeit new (based on their filmography), were amazingly good. Their acting was spot on. Actually they were sooooo good it did not feel like they were acting at all. It was like watching my children's friends living their lives.

I love this drama so much I immediately messaged my friends, recommended the show and sent them this link. I started watching at 11pm. Couldn't stop. Finished all 5 episodes in one go. That's how compelling it was for me.

Congratulations to the writer, Yi-seul, director, Kim Joon-Mo and the awesome cast. Can we have more like this, please?

EXXID Feb 23 2020 3:21 pm The only cast/character that miss was Seo Tae-Hyun, he still has vibe like high school boy. Even Park Dan-Hee which has gentle and calm looks mature for me.

Cams Feb 22 2020 8:13 am So I've been following Hani ever since she got famous during Up and Down era and she's been in a lot of variety shows and I almost watched it all (Can't watch those that are aren't subbed). After watching this, Wow! I'm really glad that she tried acting. It's her first acting project and she nailed it!! Fighting Hani Oppa! I will wait for more acting projects! (And oh, i miss you on variety shows!!!)

onemaki Jan 27 2020 6:11 pm At the scene where Na Na was crying broke my heart, I'm impressed to see another side of her in this drama. Their interaction in the bar is so G-A-Y. This drama gives me the gay vibe. And when Na Na said those savage two words I went uffffff this is sooo worth it to watch. 10 eps only... maybe because there's a GAY VIBE in it.
