Pinikpikan Nov 20 2019 4:51 am The actors were very good! but the plot is a mess and lacking. seriously, there is a lot of confusion. I was rooting for SAN-GYEO WOOL but it just disappeared at the end. Also, San's vampire abilities were not really maximized in the story, they could have made him more powerful because of his abilities. hays. I finished watching the series but it made me skip some parts cause I felt that they weren't really needed. They could have maximized Lee Chung ah's character too. I love Lee Joon-Lee Se-Young and Oh Jung Se here though.

KaeSea Jul 14 2019 5:35 am While I enjoyed the show, for the most part, I was totally disappointed in the ending. It seemed like there should have been further episodes to the show. Like, who took the USB at the end, and why didn't we see San reappear.

I came here to see another Lee Joon show, wasn't disappointed in him or the other actors, but thought the ending was crap.

xxabixx May 23 2019 9:34 am at first i came to watch this because of lee chung ah. but actually, this drama is pretty good. i feel like watching a korean drama version of detective conan. each case doesn't relate to another case, but there's a big picture they want to finish. if you like detective conan, you might like this. for the characters, i love them all. lee se young character isn't annoying at all, at first i was quite sceptical of a girl between guys team. but she nailed it. her character is quite similar to in the best hit drama. she's quite temperament, still boyish, and really live up the team. i won't comment on the guys character because i think they're perfectly portrayed by the actors. 9/10 the cases are actually simpler than you might think, but they're pretty good considering it's only 12. and how they wrap up the cases, i think it's quite like detective conan lol 7/10

First, I decided to watch this because I super love vampire stories and I am a big fan of detective stories as well. Now, they titled this series Vampire Detective, why wouldn't I watch it, right? PLUS, Lee Joon is one of my favorite idol-actor in his generation.

BUT

The plot just ruined it all for me. Sure, I loved it every time they are solving a case but let's be honest, some of the cases here have no sense at all, not to mention those cringey fighting scenes that seem unnecessary, sometimes. Of course, Joon is a very good actor, but his acting skills were like wasted here. Not only Joon but the other actors as well. They are all very good actors considering I finished the series even though I am not satisfied with the plot.

Also, the leading lady. Who was that again? I don't even know now who the leading lady is, if there is any. They built up Gyeo Wool's character and we all loved her but the ending made her seem like a nobody. Yo Na's appearance kind of saved the series for me since her character and story was one of the best things in this series. I wouldn't mind having a love triangle with those three but since I'm not so into romance, it's fine. I loved it that Gyeo Wool is more like younger sister/teammate/friend to San and their scenes are what I crave for the most. Then, the girlfriend. We honestly did not know her even if they gave us a backstory. Yet, they made her seem like the main of the story and I want to know WHY.

They shouldn't have titled this series as such because they didn't even emphasize San's vampire abilities and they never told us the history behind that evil blood injected in him. That's the sole reason I held on until the end of the series but I never found out why, which is really very unsatisfactory.

It’s been a good year and this drama still lingers at the back of my head. The ending left me devatsted, i wondered for so many hours and thought countless theories of what could possibly be an ending to understand, but i’m still left scarred. This drama is amazing, like i can’t explain how good it is. I love it so much. And this is where my brain can’t move on from.

The beginning of episode one (intro) showed Yoon San as a Vampire with eyes and fighting off enemies right off the bat with supernatural skills. From that we wouldv’e been able to understand something was going to happen to him, and now i’m gonna skip to the ending where he straight out disppears into oblivion. Okay bare with me now, there are some scenes left unexplained but nothing exceeds more than when we’re left to see such a beginning and ending differ by miles. This leaves me to think that maybe the beginning of the first episode is like the ending of the season. Like in the end where he disappears is the intro of the beginning since his a vampire.

sad a+ Jul 15 2017 11:42 pm (i first watched this for my mblaq feels) but now i seriously want a second season because of the stupid cliffhanger! i remember reading an article about a second season being released in 2018, but i can't find the article anymore... despite the viewer response being bad in korea, i hope they at least finish the story because there's so many things the director left hanging. it would be a shame to just leave the story at that (especially because cliffhangers are the worst types of endings).

Besides, it got confusing because of the to complitely diffrent vampire types (traditional like in this drama and the other type like Min Tae Yeon). Hope they can sort out all the lose threads in another season. Besides, I'm hoping to get to know the real identity of Bad Blood.

Slide Nov 01 2016 5:13 am The cast of this drama are interesting, the show started off good and then became a generic story afterwards there are a lot of question marks at the end though, like what happened to the story of Han Gyeo-Wool, and 1 episode that confused me (the Zen of Sword episode), anyway the story is not bad but at the same time not good too, but is an interesting show to watch.

And at the end of this drama they also talked about bad blood, the same evil vampire that captured prosecutor Min Tae Yeon in Vampire Prosecutor.

GiPa65 Jul 09 2016 9:13 am My favorite episodes are the two where Lee Chung-Ah's character is mainly present. She's been really good in this unusual "super villain" role.

The ending of the drama isn't really satisfying, at least if they don't plan to make another season. However, some meaningful parts of the plot aren't been developed enough: (1) Han Gyeo-Wool's brother...and the story behind the serum that made Yoon San a "daily vampire"; (2) Why the other vampires show no interest about San's special capability to endure the daylight?

The cast was really good, no flaws in the characters choices.

Fullheart5 Jun 14 2016 12:34 pm This drama did not leave us hanging anymore than Vampire Prosecutor did. Sure it looks like they left it open, like VP, to the option for another season. Honestly, I thought it pretty well closed the books on the story line, but left it open to a possible season 2 , when Kang Tae Woo's ambitious sidekick turned Vampire walked over and picked up the Helpers List. They showed all the cast that did not die at the end. Watch American television, there are always cliffhangers and this was not much of a one. Overall, I liked it and all the cast, they were exceptional.

I was shouting like crazy when San and Gyeo wool have to kiss each other (I really really hope that happen) unfortunately not. -_- . but, did you see San expression when Gyeo wool decided not to kiss him? something is up with that expression. I really hope there will be love between them. soon. and I don't like the plot very much actually. Tha vampire 'thing' in San is not really shown up there also the plot is too slow. i just wait for San and Gyeo wool there.

passanger May 09 2016 3:11 pm After watching "Gap Dong" and "Rough Play" this drama is a pain to watch... poor script, totally predictable and cheesy lines, no plot fluency, advertised as a vampire series for no good reason. WTF?! Lee Joon can play amazingly well, this is a waste of resources. I've pulled myself to watching until ep.7 and I now give up. And I was not waiting in anticipation for a San-Gyeo Wool intimate scene, although the director is teasing us... the good looks of these actors is perhaps the only reason they did this. "Vampire Prosecutor" was ACE compared to this. I need to watch "Gap Dong" again! :)

I think it falls into the same category as:

Walking four or five feet behind someone and they never see that person............or

Two people are having a conversation and someone is two feet away listening and the two people talking have no clue...........or

Someone crying hysterically and the person next to them just stands there and watches..............the norm would be to hug them and console them....................or

A guy hugs or kisses the girl and she just stands there like a totem pole........I would think that ones instinct would be to wrap your hands around the person consoling you.

Many times when there are only 12 episodes, they air only one a week. I love it because I prefer the shorter dramas to the long drawn out ones that often have so much extra unnecessary fluff. Cut to the chase is my motto. LOL

WoopWoop Mar 31 2016 7:37 pm @michelle - not only is it the same as Vampire Prosecutor, but they are connected. If you watch the first episode you will find that out. My guess is that once these season ends, the next Vampire Prosecutro episode will start and they will be connected like with Arrow, Flash etc... Probably in the last 1-2 episodes we will see Prosecutor Min Tae-Yeon(Yeon Jeong-Hun) :P Or it just might be my wishful thinking that things would end up like that, but none the less they are connected :)

Illagg Mar 29 2016 11:38 pm Best Premier episode EVER! I have watch more than 100 Asian Dramas and had so much favorites but this by far took the win on premier episode. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. Even the video quality was that of a movie. I can't wait to watch more. Even the possibility of a romance between Lee Joon and Se Young keeps me wanting to watch more.

And also, what happened to the severely injured Prosecutor Yoo and the rest of the team after the finale? Logically, how exactly they aregoing to make VP3 vithout the main character anyway? Put Prosecutor Yoo as Prosecutor Min's replacement? A detective maybe fit the role for the explaination about after VP2 finale instead.
