Mew Jun 19 2021 6:28 pm Not a movie i might visit again. Or maybe too much plot twists done already in other movies, making this, another dot in the ocean of the same exact story telling. The actual moving plot was more interesting then the plot twist. Third act of the movie falls flat.

Amyus Dec 10 2018 1:57 pm It's not often that the Koreans will remake a western film, but when they do - they do it in style! I enjoyed Oriol Paulo's 'El Cuerpo' (2012), on which The Vanished is based so I was interested to see what spin Lee Chang-hee would put on it. No spoilers, but he did a grand job and ten minutes into the film I stopped judging it against the original Spanish film, so sat back and enjoyed The Vanished, almost as a standalone piece of work. Well worth it. Highly recommended to all those who love to have their brains teased and their nerves jangled.
