Kazuo (Masahiro Higashide) is married to Junko (Nao) and he works for a publishing company in Tokyo. He suffers from a mental issue. Due to his issue, he decides to go back to his hometown of Hakodate with Junko.
There, he sees Psychiatrist Masako (Shigeru Muroi). Masako diagnoses him with autonomic ataxia and advises him to jog everyday. Following his doctor's recommendation, Masako takes time off from work and jogs everyday. He can't think about anything else, but jogging. Meanwhile, Junko begins to work as the information desk for a cable car. As a native Tokyo person, Junko has no one to rely on but Kazuo and his parents in Hakodate.
