Reiji (Satoshi Ono) is young CEO of a first-class hotel. He is single and 34-years-old. Even though he has a good appearance and wealth, women eventually leave him because of his personality. He is generous with himself, but strict with others. For the first time, Reiji falls in love with someone. Her name is Misaki (Haru). Hoping to gain her love, he begins to change.

King Pup 1722 Jun 14 2023 9:37 am I just finished watching this show on Netflix. The series is well-acted and well-written, with a strong supporting cast. The chemistry between the two leads is undeniable, and the show is full of heartwarming and funny moments.

Here are some of the things that I liked about the show:

The characters are well-developed and relatable.
The relationship between Reiji and Misaki is believable and heartwarming.
The show is funny and romantic.

If you are looking for a light-hearted comedy to watch, and to take a breather from Korean dramas, I highly recommend "The Most Difficult Romance"!

It seems to be Satoshi Ono’s last TV series, he’s not acted since 2017 (?).

I cant believe that this is the same writer that wrote the solid Summer Nude. Where all the creativity and good dialogs go to?

kanzaemon Oct 29 2016 3:57 pm I mostly watched this because of Kitamura Kazuki, so my comment is about his character:

After Wada retired into his hut and decided to change his ways, I was reaaaaaally hoping he would go and apologize to Maiko for how he behaved towards her. He could have explained that he treated her the way he'd grown accustomed to treating all the gold diggers and sycophants in his life. Those who only wanted to be with him because of his money and success (and perfect tan). Which is why he took her for granted that night when he gave her the hotel room key and casually suggested she start by taking a shower. I feel as though he got so used to women just falling into his arms that he forgot how to treat one he was actually in love with. And I like to think that all his overt flirting was only a way for him to feel like he had some sort of personal merit in seducing women. That it was not just his money and fame. And I believe the advice he offered Reiji never truly worked for him either. Because whatever he did, women would give in to his advances because of his status. All this to say that I really hoped he would spend some time alone and then end up earning Maiko's respect, and eventually marrying her.

bluelysia Sep 10 2016 1:47 am This drama is fun paradox.. You will feel annoyed with the leads, but also laughing because of the ridiculous circumstances.. You don't know whether the couple are good for each other, but also rooting them till the end.. Overall, this drama was a fun ride with super unique persons dating each other.. Side characters also fun to watch too..

I then gave to him a second chance but I jast can't continue. And wow, Haru is really everywhere (hahahah) and I don't know why but there is something that I don't like about her.. I really want to watch Kotaki acting but this drama is just a big no for me.

Mirtika Apr 18 2016 12:24 pm First episode bodes well. Ohno is doing a very good job of playing the too-blunt, too-unyielding, insensitive CEO who wants his hotel to beat a superior rival. And he needs a fiance for an event in 2 months. Every date has been a failure, due to his blunt lack of tact. But he meets a new employee and doesn't understand why he can't fire this person. But his assistant and chauffeur aim to help him win her heart within the target time frame.

But there are complications.

His vulnerability in the face of a first "difficult" love is a lot of fun. The milk scene in the gym is hilarious! This is gonna be a sort of pygmalion story, and I'm guessing both main characters will need to change.
