shingil park May 30 2015 2:00 am a sentimental story on WWII times that shows the defeated were human and suffered in their lot. young teenage girls comitting mass suicide introduced by fear of becoming devastated by US army has been presented as something heroic and even beautiful. the only person in this movie who seems to be in his right mind is the teacher, whose appearance from the start pre-told his sad death, which was caused only by standing by his beloved students till the end.

Stanley Krippner Dec 08 2012 7:44 pm This is an excellent film with a plausible plot. It is well cast and beautifully acted. If is filled with ethical and patriotic dilemmas that leave viewers to ponder long after the film ends.
