Plot
Kurasawa Ippei (Kyozo Nagatsuka) embezzled money from the bank where he worked, and went missing. His wife Ryoko (Otsuka Nene) has run from the public eye, and leads a quiet life in her parents' country house. When Ippei shows up, tired of life on the run, the two bump into each other. At first Ryoko urges him to give himself up, but then she proposes to shelter him for one week, on the condition that he signs the divorce papers. Ryoko wants to marry her new lover Yoshizumi (Jun Kunimura). Ippei reluctantly agrees, and hides in the storeroom. This does not stop Ryoko from receiving guests in the house and conducting her love affair. Ippei witnesses this from a crack in the wall, and he regains his desire for Ryoko. A few days later, a cop comes to report that they have discovered the corpse of a man resembling Ippei. Ryoko and Ippei are the only ones who know the man is not Ippei. However, when Ippei says he will give himself up because he does not want to separate from her, Ryoko lies that she is pregnant with Yoshizumi's child, and she lets him escape.
Hirayama Hideyuki, who received numerous awards for Begging for Love, depicts the curious relationship between man and woman.
