Hwang Kyung-Min (Kim Dong-Wook) was traumatized by school violence 20 years ago, but he now hides those feelings. He appears to be a happy person, enjoying life with his wife. An unexpected case causes his hidden emotions to reappear. Meanwhile, Detective Jung Jong-Suk (Kim Sung-Kyu) receives a mysterious message from his friend he knew 20 years ago. That leads him to remember the school violence that took place back then. Chasing the mysterious message, he tries to stop more murders with the help of Detective Kang Jin-A (Chae Jung-An). She is a detective with charisma and enthusiastic about her work.

They were doctors, teachers, businessmen, news reporters etc. I feel so heartbroken for these victims, they never got to live life normally. Kim cheol didn't even taste happiness. Niks Jan 24 2023 9:47 pm One of my favorite kdramas! I love the never ending twists and turns (although some were expected). I love that it did not focus on the revenge solely but also on the effects (grave and massive at that) to the victims. It is very painful but the message was definitely clear.

I just did not like or did not understand what the role of Lieutenant Kang was.. it felt like she was added to have some sort of an outsider but she looked out of place most of the time.

ahn Jan 15 2023 7:46 am just binge-watched it. i dunno what to say. i feel little bit pleased with the pigs fighting back the dogs, but feels quite sad too for how this bullying thing is still existed. it just show how childhood trauma can have an effect in the future.

i love how Cheol at first being so negative, and turn to be a just cute middle schooler at the end. about cheol's death, the reason its not published i think because the purpose of the 'show' is to put 'curse' into the bully's heart. if the truth come out, they will not feel guilty anymore then.

SPOILER ALERT: The drama started fine, but the plot turned out to be one of the dumbest and most ridiculous plots I've ever come across. Was it written by a 5-year-old kid? A friend throws his friend off a roof and kills him because he thought he was "a god" and expected him not to die (with some Catholic BS involved). What sort of dumb plot is this? I could come up with a better story than this in a day. What a missed opportunity. Do not recommend watching it.

The ending also good and I can understand..

But I'm not sure.. The truth about KC dead not known to the public until the end.. The person know only HKM, JJS, KJA & KC's mother only.. At the end, JJS still get honorable funeral, after what he did..

Krystal - this is a TVING original, means it is produced and distributed by TVING (which is a korea OTT platform). it would not be distributed to other OTT platforms, like netflix or disneyplus. it's like how Squid Games won't go to other platforms.

Immensely dark and portrays the reality of bullying and explore the roles of not just the person bullying and being bullied but the people who just watch, the adults and the parents..it's very thought provoking.

puren Nov 18 2021 3:26 pm I have watched the King of Pigs (2011) animation movie in a film festival without knowing anything about the movie before I went to. It was a very shocking movie and probably it was one of the first realistic things I watched about korean society. Several years later, I watched Train to Busan in another film festival and loved it as well. It was a good surprise to realise that it was from the same director with the King of Pigs (his animation works are much more darker though, as another example Seoul Station). I am curious how they will adapt this animation as drama series. I think that since it is in an online platform, they will be free and can adapt it in a truer way to the original material.
