Yukie (Kei Mizutani) works at a girl's bar. She has failed in finding a good man, until she meets Tsunetaro (Manabu Hamada). Tsunetaro is the eldest son from a farming family. They eventually marry and Yukie begins agriculture work as a farmer's bride. Yukie also encounters cultural differences with her new family and work. Her mother-in-law is strict and gives her a hard time, but Yukie does her best to persevere. Yukie's happiness with Tsunetaro is then threatened when her ex-boyfriend Mishima appears.
