Over a 7 day period, "The Days" depicts three different viewpoints from people involved with the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant when it experienced an extreme crisis caused by the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. The viewpoints are from government officials, Tokyo Electric Power Company employees, and employees at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.

Notes

Filming began June, 2021 and finished October, 2021.
Koji Yakusho's character is based on real person Masao Yoshida. He worked as a plant manager at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in 2011 when the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami struck Japan.

Melissa Jun 09 2023 1:56 am It's really an eye opener!! I didn't know the stake of the worst case scenario was that terrifying, including losing tokyo! I really didnt know it was that serious. There were actual heroes doing actual savings! It's really like a movie. The fact that it really happened was TERRIFYING.

Quite surreal and solemn show that depicts the hardships I think all actors really did well. portraying the whole situation in 8 episodes was insufficient compared to real life. But it did caught my heart

Will definitely recommend this???? Good education and make us all reflect.

Especially the last episode ending where even though the series was made by Japanese, they were not bias. (Not sure how to say this but when u watch you will know)
