Audrey Dec 03 2022 10:24 am Needless to say I was very disappointed in the ending of this drama which is why I keep asking if there's going to be a sequel to it. My honest opinion is that a naive young wife got the short end of the stick and did not know how to handle the situation! Been there! 'nough said! I sincerely hope that whoever wrote this and also the Directors and producers realize that most viewers we not happy with the ending.

Jillibean Oct 08 2022 12:53 pm One of the worst Korean dramas I have seen out of the 800 I have experienced since 2006 when I began watching them. They should have created a beautiful, uplifting story as a reunion vehicle for Choi Ji Woo and Kwon Sang Woo after the classic Stairway to Heaven. Not one based on married couples cheating and betraying each other. This particular writer only writes bombs and if I see he has written another one I avoid it like the plague. He has a dark and unrealistic view of women characters in all of his stories. Pass on this one. You aren't missing anything.

jz Jul 08 2019 9:59 am I just finished watching this drama & have enjoyed every min of it! i was rooting for MW and HJ to be together again but maybe if there's a sequel :) so happy that SH & SY in the end! If i can put my 2 cents with HJ & SH relationship i think HJ shld've given SH a chance to explain the circumstances before jumping into conclusion! I don't wish to be a spoiler in case some other ppl haven't watched this but HJ's father is right she didn't give their marriage a chance although SH wanted to patch up things with her therefore you can't blame him for pursuing SY bec of this! Nice drama, it's well worth your time! I can't believe I finished it in 2 days! I hope CJW and KSW will team up again in another drama, their chemistry is always great!

This drama shows that How the money and misunderstanding ruint the our life and love. Please make the 2nd part. And SH and HJ must be together. I was crying for HS.She should try to understand her husband but she didn't and HS too. But HJ husband haven't time for her. But he have too much time for that b*tch SY. Please make 2nd part too.

1415 Jan 08 2019 5:12 am I like the actors but the plot and storyline is not realistic. Some are saying that Hoon Joo is annoying and that she left her husband out of distrust but in the drama her husband had already left her. First who wouldn't trust their spouse or rather the other person who want your husband to say the weekend in a hotel suite with no communications from their spouse. I know they had debt but he could have made a wiser decision, Seo-Young needed him not the other way around, he could have at least allowed some communications, but she wanted him the moment she seen him with his wife at the shopping mall. She wanted to feel loved like her so she set out to break it up. Also, Seok-Hoon kept breaking promises to his wife knowing they were trying to have a baby and he missed his appts with her her or came late for dinners but he always made time for SY. SY also knew that she had HJ husband on her string when she flaunted it in front of her at the cafe. That is why I said he already left his wife before she asked for divorce he really wasn't investing in the marriage anymore. I don't care what anyone says if a person loves you enough like SH supposed to have loved his wife he would have understood the reason for doubt and tried to fix, if he loved her like he said he did he wouldn't have gotten a divorce so easily. On a side note I didn't believe SY and SH relationship he was more of admiration of business partners and if I was HJ I wouldn't have nursed when SY got cancer she would had to find a new nurse, sorry it just wouldn't have happened. One positive thing is I like that HJ left everything behind but the drama seemed unfinished, like do she still have cancer, will they get married, she can't have kids and so forth. I just hate that SY didn't realize the pain she caused another person when she coveted another woman's husband.

FoxTail Oct 11 2018 7:49 pm This must have been a vehicle for Choi Ji-Woo. Thank goodness she had two hunky co-stars Kwon Sang-Woo and that rascally Lee Jung-Jin with the Clark Gable smile. Because her role did not require much acting skill in my opinion. I got mad in Ep. 2, then laughed all the way through it at the absurd storyline and unbelievable dialogue. Who does this in real life? Nevertheless, I watched it to the end which by the way seemed truncated (did it get cut off on Viki?). What happened to Park Ha-Sun? I disliked all the main characters (characters not actors) so it was hard to care what they did no matter how ridiculous the situations. What an eye roller! I watched this for Lee Jung-Jin after seeing his cute character in 9 Ends 2 Outs. Have seen Choi Ji-Woo in several productions. Fans love her I guess but to me she has a limited range of expression. Spoiler: I was not sold on Se Young and Seok Hoon’s relationship at all. What chemistry?? He had more with Hong Joo. They were always close, touching, laughing, comfortable, looking into each others eyes, in Ep. 1. Then Hong Joo made that stupid ridiculous decision to dump him when they obviously still loved each other. What did he see in the ice queen Se Young? Then the roller coaster began — she wants him, no she doesn’t, yes she does. (rolling my eyes). Lee Jung Jin played his character well, the naughty rich entitled guy. Felt sorry for the kids in this story with the upbringing they were getting. If you are looking for romance but no passion, teasers but no realistic kissing, there’s a bit of that here. For instance, SK and SY have this somewhat chaste kiss and embrace, then she invites him up for coffee, then you see them the next morning in bed together. No passion. Another example, Min-Woo and his ex-wife are shown walking to his villa together. Next episode, she’s pregnant! Huh? They don’t even show them kissing. Park Ha-Son did ok with this limited script. Couldn’t believe they sent her character to nurse the ice queen at the end. The secondary characters provided entertaining, comic relief — Chae So-Young, Lee Jung-Shin, An Se-Ha. Bottom line: watch if you are a fan of the actors. Don’t expect much and enjoy the eye candy.

All the character had their own defects, that's why I like this drama. It reminds me about the imperfect person with perfect love. I love the four leading characters. Thumbs up@@

princess Sep 25 2016 5:24 am I don't get what the other commenters saying because in the story Seok Hoon (KSW) did not leave his wife but his wife, out of doubt/distrust, leave him but the reason behind why Seok Hoo chose to go for money is because of the land of his wife where the wife nagged about. Therefore, it is the mistake of Seok Hoon's wife. She also attracts the other guy who has tons of money as well thus, it's a tie between them lol.

Livia Apr 28 2016 4:19 am What a great drama! I am about the 3rd part now, WOW, wish I found it sooner! I saw arguments about moral parts. Usually I watched Korean dramas because they are just so fairy-tale like, good wins, bad is punished, they help to escape of reality and lift the heart. It's something different but so good, it has more connection to real life and souls of us. OK, opinion so far. Wife is terrible, she can be cute and has values like how to take care of a child but otherwise she is terribly selfish and mean, her so called love worth 0. She can't help on his husband, she tries to help her father on the most painful way, she can't solve the situation but make it harder for her poor husband. Not to mention that what if rich woman is 60 years old and 2x60 kgs? Who could really suffer because of situation is the husband. He almost lost her wife, can't help to father, can go to jail or can try to kill himself. He has no option. No matter what pain, wife should have support him, and trust in him. She deserves to lost him. While I can feel for rich woman and her struggling, fear. She was honest with the man, she did not take advantage but paid as a life safer. This is exactly the situation when you can learn how much your marriage worth.

For this romantic drama just happen they both really love each other at the end (not in real world).. and it shows how it will end a relationship when the wife did not trust the husband, and when love turns into hate the woman will do anything to revenge. Of course it just a drama how could so convenient happen the rich man fall for the the same guy's wife... and being use to revenge.

I don't like the idea of being a "mistress winning over the legal wife'' or a so called "high class woman ruining a husband and wife relationship" or "using money to buy people's dignity". And i was expecting that at the end, Seok hoon and Hong Joo could fix their broken relationship and promote that Love Wins over Temptation but no, it is so disappointing. I can understand Hong Joo's feelsss although i could describe her as selfish and foolish to let go of his husband easily, I cannot blame her for distrusting her husband because her husband does not explain everything well to her about what his work is all about though and the fact that Se Young keeps telling her everytime they met, that she will fight and take her husband away from her, that is so very degrading for a woman's pride. If you were in Hong Joo's shoes you would be confused and get broken into pieces as well, your mind will be so messed up and don't know what decision you should take, and is waiting for that special someone of yours to fight for you, but sadly that someone chose to agree and let go of you as well. That's how i see everything.

Think of the position of a woman whose husband kissed and thought about another one? Life is not simple and equal as you get back what you give. There are tons of women love, trust, and kind but still lost their husbands. There is something called temptation which drives human to rob others' happiness.

Jane Nov 04 2015 6:57 pm this drama tells us that love is all about trust. Trust him and never let him go if you really love him. He will become whatever you believe he is. when you are kind, considerate, positive, open minded, you will have all beautiful things in your life. But when you are hateful, narrow and mean to people, you will have a miserable life, just like Hong Joo in this drama. At beginning i thought she was beautiful and kind and I felt bad for her that her husband had to stay with another woman in the situation that he actually had no other way to save himself nor his wife. But i got really disappointed in her later on. A considerate, and wise person in her position would have not behaved in the same way. If Hong Joo really trusted him and treated him good no matter what, he would have liked her even more than he did before, and everything would be so different. I think those who really hate this drama made same mistake and don't really understand relationship. Jealousy and hate made her ugly and unattractive. People make mistakes sometimes. By the way there is actually nothing big happened between SH and SY. Everyone may feel someone rather than their partner is attractive. It is ok and it is normal. You should be confident and treat him nice if he chooses you and stays by your side. Be good and nice to people and always try to understand other people's position, in that way you will have everything and all happiness in your life.

I guess when you seriously hate a character, it means the actors did a superb job don't you think. Okay, reality strikes on this show. man going to jail, no money,. he's desperate come home to a mad wife and does not help the situation. What is there to do, he took up on this rich woman's offer and you tell me, what crazy man wouldn't take this offer. Unless they are mad and can't see a real opportunity for freedom. Yes, it might be bad writing but, somehow, it does happen in real life and real situation such as this do occur at some point in some people's life. I'd like to thank Danielle for a good job of recapping because I have never seen the drama yet but, it all so sounding interesting coming from DAnielle's comments. You are right girl, this show sound very disturbing and yet, it's reality to some people and we can't jump into conclusion and just try to kill what these two people did especially to the wife but look at it, sometimes, we can't help the people we fall inlove with. Although we have to remember our vows when married, there are cases when one partner is hard to live with because of many misunderstanding between them and one needs a break to breath from the other. What happened was, the poor guy can't help falling for this woman who tried so hard to save him from going to jail. Therefore, let up people. Accept the fact that in real life, we are not all perfect. There are situations where we can't help ourselves when we encounter difficulties that is beyond our means of living.

People thunk very differently and most people did not like it that is for sure. To me this drama is really amazing. Yes. Woo couple reunited in this drama and i was excited to see them again. Lovely. As for story line it is interesting. Money, power, love, revenge, high society and temptation. Lets start from episode 1. Most people day Hong Joo is real victim. I dont agree. She is not. She left her husband as soon as she did realize that his business failed. And when they go back to Korea from Hing Kong they will both lead a miserable life. He will go to jail and she will stand there and cant do anything with ko money. So she decided to suicide js because not to see all this. So sh left a beautiful note to her husband: im sorry and love you but i cant see all this failure and you going jail basically. And people think she is victim. Yeah right. That was her biggest mistake. 2. Lets think realistically. SH position was the bad one. His partner killed himelf. Business failed. No money. If he goes to Korea he will go straight to jail. There is noway he could get that much money for shortest time. And there is his savior. SY offered that much money to prevent him from jail js for 3 days of his life to complete the project she needs to. SH accepted. And he did right. What? Lets put now SH wife in his shoes. If she was in the same situation as SH and very rich handsome guy offered her to spend 3 days and she would avoid jail. Do you guys think she would not accept it? Heh.. she would jump for it. Its too easy to blame SH that he betrayed and blah blah. SH did not betray his wife. He tried very hard to protect his marriage. Yes he did have some kind of temptation towards SY while he was married but he did not go far. His wife came first and always first. He pushed away SY bc he knew he is married and his marriage means to him something. He did reject SY literally. So to my opinion SH did very right thing to accept offer from SY. And Hong Joo is not a victim at all. Instead of being happy and showing SH what he missed or who he lwft behind she was too busy to get revenge on SH and SY. Wow. Thats why her second marriage failed. Hong Joo did marry Kang Min Woo js to get revenge on my lovely couple. Anyways whoever think or say this drama is failure or horrible they just didnt get anything. This drama show true love, care, revenge and how people become so miserable because of that revenge. I did watch 3 times and after each time i thought good job SH. You deserve happiness and true love. Most people like Kang Min Woos character.. come on.. what a jerk. Being married cheated on his wife with his ex wife.. whatt the heck this guy was thinking.? Obviously not with his brain. Who does that? Ex wife.. i was like wow.. what was the point to rush the marriage with Hong Joo.? I didnt ger the point of that marriage. I know that Hong Joo accpted marriagw offer just to destroy SH and SY. But Kang Min Woo why did he marry Hong Joo.whatever. Overall, this is my best drama.

Married cannot tie you with your love one because someone else more beautiful and powerful. Money can buy one person heart. Stupid story and so pitiful that they reunited KSW and CJW in this drama. Bad bad choice...leaving me a bitter feeling that a second woman always wins all the time even though in the real life.

mae Jun 21 2015 5:17 pm I love the story.for me the real victim is hong joo., seok hoon is a two timer.yes he confessed his love to hong joo if he is with her but there are times his heart is with seong yoo.you can tell on their first part that he is always absent minded.if hong joo did not leave him, its the same her life would be miserablr with seok hoon, because with the confession of seong yoo of her likeness to seok soon, for sure he would fell for her eventually plus her money and power.if seok soon really love bong joo no matter what he would returned to her after they quarreled.and I like the honesty of Ceo kang, at least he tried to love hong joo unconditionally , helped her a lot.I finished the story because of ceo kang and hong joo.seong yoo and seokhon are only about their money and love. How I wish the story ended with ceo kang and hong joo as back together with the kids.

They relate only to money not Real LOVE . I love CJW but Choi ji woo's face & Lips is too Old , Her makeup is too strong , in story her character is like a whore . I'm sorry for Dear Choi ji woo . I don't understand this story . I hate KSW character so much . I saw the first episode and I hate this drama .This story is Disgusting ! Sex, money, betrayal of wife , The Drama is very like a Mexican Bad Series . the story line is quite different from other Korean drama. In my opinion, The Great Love Story and Best TV Series of South Korea Is only The Princess' Man . this is the worst drama I've ever seen .

temptrous Jun 02 2015 9:14 am This is one of the best kdramas I've seen out of late, I watched it in only three day because I was so invested in it, I loved the plot and the acting, although I got to say, in the first part, I think Park Ha-sun should win something for her outstanding crying skills :p

Well, I think many people are defending Hong-Joo a bit too much, the reason her marriage fell apart was mostly bc of her, she was too fragile and distant, I think the early signs were when she blamed him for his bankrupcy and endebting her father,she said she'd hate him and she didn't want to go to Hong Kong. And... she attempted suicide for god's sake, what kind of a person does that to the one she loves, and even after his incredible fidelity,she still wanted to end their marriage, I think the love they supposedly had went along with their debts and bankrupcy.

I have immense love for se-young, she loved for the first time, and even contemplated leaving it just to not ruin a marriage, unfortunately, and what the writers were trying to say is that you can't ruin an already doomed marriage, if someone pulls out from this kind of sacred relationship, then it's not worth to fight for it alone.

He left her for Money and had an emotional affair with some rich bitch. Of course she wouldn`t trust him anymore... should she just live miserable and hold onto his empty shell? He had his heart somewhere else and he would have made her life even more miserable. I even think that Hong Joo was too nice, she should have made them go through hell. And seriously I love Min Woo, he was at least honest and admits that he isn`t the best guy in this world. He even tried to help Hong Joo and gave Seok Hoon a chance to fix their but Seok Hoon just walked away. I wish I could get a guy like him who would love me unconditionally. No matter what people say, I just dislike Seok Hoon and Yoo Se Young. All they could ever think about is Money and themselves. they are selfish and arrogant even though they are the ones at fault. For me Hong Joo is the real victim and heroine of this drama, she received misery from everyone for being nice. I am so glad that this story is not real..... because it just makes me sad and I cried so many times for Hong Joo. Hong Joo and Min Woo were my favourite characters, they are the reason why I finished this drama.

If he really loved her even if it was for money or going too jail he wouldn't have left her in the first place. it is good that she didn't stay with him , he wouldn't have been loyal to her. Because she was left alone it means someone better was already written for her.

Clarkdale44 Nov 13 2014 4:07 am This drama was decent and quite normal, of course the reason i even considered watching it was because of the main two leads Yoo Se-Young and Cha Seok-Hoon and the plot life was somewhat unique. Anyway i am quite satisfied for this drama, it made me happy and at peace, it was worth my time. The main leads performed their best and they looked compatible with each other. The cinematography was good so as the direction and ost. I am very much impressed with it in all ways. Some spoilers ahead>>>

I feel bad for the Hong-Joo, as she was the at the most disadvantage in the end. But it was her own fault for not trusting his husband at the beginning. She was the matchmaker for those two in the first place. I believe it was their destiny to meet, his wife was just a pawn in the game. Story was a bit draggy after a while but i guess it was necessary to get in the right mind.

I will recommend it to all. 8/10(Great casting, great storyline, great ost and cinamatography)

HJ drove SH to accept the offer after she herself had tried to commit suicide for the money. SH was left with two shitty choices after that.

1. - He can accept the offer and spend 4 days with SY and then be free of debt and save the home of HJ's father but with a scorned wife because of him accepting that offer. 2..- He can decline the offer and still have a suicidal wife and a broken marriage because of the debt and risk of going to jail while losing the home of HJ's father.

I think SH made the most logical decision based on the circumstances.

When SH returns from HK his wife decides to leave their house and live in the house of another man even going to a hotel with him after being drunk and yet act as if she has done nothing wrong. They were both wrong. I don't think SH did wrong by accepting that offer based on his circumstances as expained before but he did wrong by not breaking ALL contact with SY after that HK trip. HJ did wrong by leaving the house and live in the house owned by another man trying to romance her up. When HJ left her home the marriage was already lost right there. That was the end of their marriage. If she wished to save the marriage she should have stayed in their home and tried to make it work but isntead she left. If she didn't wish to make it work with her husband because of the HK trip then that's fine and she should have asked for a divorce at that point while accepting her own faults in all of this and also accept that she does not deserve any revenge more than anyone else. If she had done that and just moved on then I'm sure she'd have had a happy ending. In other words the main difference is that SH tried to move on while HJ was only a self-victimizing revenge hungry woman not accepting any responsibility or fault of her own. That is why SH got a happy ending. I knew it would end like this early on because HJ only cared about her broken pride and jealousy of SY instead of her marriage. This is very evident in the scene where SY meets HJ and tells her that her SH loves HJ and had rejected SY but instead of being happy that her husband had actually chosen her and rejected SY she was mad that SY loved SH enough to humble herself in front of HJ and accept defeat and admit that she had been rejected by SH. That proved that HJ cared more about her hate for SY than her feelings of her husband and her marriage.

SLee Oct 25 2014 1:52 am Among the 3 "old"-favorite-couples dramas produced, this was by far the worst. Quite a pity for the CJW-KSW pairing as both are good actors in the industry. CJW was her best in the Star's Lovers.

Acting: I think CJW was trying too hard while KSW looked bored = no chemistry at all. Writing: it started out stronger in the first 1-5/8 eps but went horribly wrong after that somehow with the nonsensical storyline and character-building (not the kind of standard you'd give Korean screen-writing); while infidelity (or the temptation to cheat) among couples is a very real issue, the way it was presented here didn't make sense. Having said that, I'm kind of relieved that the SH character didn't really have an affair with SY (before HJ called it quits on the marriage). Everything else: poor directing, editing, and music/song selections

Snow Oct 07 2014 8:10 pm @?, I think the ratings speak for itself--with these big stars, the were only able to make it into the double digit ratings on the first two episodes (some people realized it was trash right away) and the last episode. People are angry and upset because they want their 12 to 20 hours back. Also, the writer left everything up in the air at the end and didn't discuss any of the issues he brought up; probably because he doesn't know how to. The crappy drama was all over the place and none of the characters made sense in their actions. The only characters I felt sorry for was the wife and the little boy, Roy. When they had all the crying scenes between SH and SY concerning her cancer, didn't shed one tear. As a matter of fact, I think my eyes were burning because they were so dry when watching those scenes. Can't find pity for two evil people.

IL23 Oct 03 2014 11:31 am This is the most disturbing drama I have ever seen. I have never been more revolted by fictional characters. SY/SH displayed arrogance, entitlement, greed, betrayal, and a selfish disregard for others until the very end. Where was the repentance and acknowledgement of wrongdoing? The couple owed themselves and those that they hurt recognition and an apology for their misdeeds. This included SY’s family and HJ’s dad. SY’s effort to apologize to HJ was centered around concerns for her own circumstances, her cancer and her inability to have children. She appeared haughty and condescending in her interactions with HJ. In contrast HJ apologized to those she felt she hurt with no personal regard for herself. She is the true heroine.

SY was just a demon and the cutesy talk and tears made her even more unlikable. The anger and disgust while viewing this drama was overwhelming. Clearly the writer/director understood what they are exhibiting. Is this the message we leave with the viewers? Be manipulative, self absorbed, unrepentant and nasty and you shall get what you want to the exclusion of all else. SY/SH’s tears and concerns are for themselves and SH’s pursuit of bringing down MW was based on protecting SH/SY’s own misdeeds.

For me the most unlikable character is SH. He is a delusional, self-righteous, self-serving, opportunist that viewed himself as a humanist and doing no wrong. He was more unethical and ruthless than MW. His spying on MW and accepting illegal tapes from the unethical Lawyer Choi was despicable. I found myself rooting for MW. SH did not take a second to self reflect, had absolutely no growth the entire series and appeared to have slipped into the gates of hell in his unending servitude and dogged devotion to the almighty SY. A love of 10 years vanished in moments for HJ and a coldness, meanness, condescension and dismissiveness remained. The sickening contrast of treatment of the two women was appalling.

Something else in this drama was also unnerving, the demoralization of HJ. There was snobbery toward the non-rich, SH surveying HJ’s father’s apartment, HJ on her knees cleaning the floor and later trudging groceries into the apartment. SH giving her ugly nurses shoes because “he knew her legs would swell “. SY beckoning her to be her nurse and making sure she knew that she was in charge, (telling SH not to take HJ to Seoul and drop her off at the bus stop). What was the writer doing? CALL the woman a cab.

The drama had so many obvious weaknesses.

1. The direction and motivations of the characters. Absolutely no rhyme or reason at any point in time. 2. Crazy events. (Stupid fight scene with MW throwing briefcase with valuable information on the ground) SY’s father in the dark regarding her illness. 3. The underdevelopment of HG and Se Jin’s relationship as a storyline in relation to SY/SH/HJ and their families. 4. SH as a failed small businessman, now dynamic white Knight Businessman allowed to be defacto CEO. 5. Never knowing what HJ’s true interests were, since she chose nursing only because she wanted to help her family. 6. Not showing love and intimate scenes with HJ/MW. He was clearly happy on the couples’ return from their honeymoon. 7. HJ divorced 2 men, no alimony from either man? This made no sense. MW was type of man that would not let HJ go way with nothing whether there was an agreement or not. His Position as a CEO and his love for her would not let him do that. 8. Gimmicky, repetitive love scenes of SH/SY and sappy annoying music 9. Important Secrets, never revealed.

I ask myself. What was this??? I like stories that are intriguing, thought provoking, inspiring, cutting edge, and different. Believe me this story had none of those qualities. It was disjointed and absurd most of the time. It started out as interesting and turned into pure crap and was an ugly message to send to impressionable young people. Falling out of love with your spouse and in love with someone else happens in life but arrogance, betrayal, greed, manipulation, cruelty and a selfish disregard for others are behaviors that should not be glorified.

So True Oct 03 2014 9:06 am the story is different from the usual idealistic teenage romances and portrays situations that normal people might encounter in their lives.. and love can be a very powerful force! I think it has been handled with great delicacy.. For those who support HJ: hatred and negativity will never make anyone happy.. and definitely not marrying someone to make others miserable.. lol Great drama!

It's not educating that a person could cheat on his wife and then live happily with his mistress. They don't care about others feelings , no regrets? Such a selfish way to live. I hate both cha seok hoon and yoo se young character and I really don't want them to be together after committed such a sin. Everytime I see they're together, I want to puke. If you're married, you should have protected it no matter what and not give up so easily on any temptations.

Even in that situation she is tempted. On the other hand, a man with his wife angry and away from his seems to have feelings for a woman next door who just bought his time with good money, which actually caused the wife's anger. So he says he tried to stay and mend with his wife. How? By continuing to have feelings for another woman and mending with his wife, he states is not his fault. Instead, he should have come straight out and divorced his wife after coming back from HK. Such pathetic low life... And on top of that he behaves like a teenager with his new love.. eeeks creeps me out everytime. I forward when those two come on the screen, no story there at all!! and someone said this story is deep. It is devious.

In the beginning SY was potrayed as a wealthy, arrogant and cold with no smile. The only factor that SH started cheating in the day he was to leave HK is only because the money not the passionate SY. It's about real people, with lives, careers, families, kids and real problems that I can relate to (maybe because I'm about the same age). I thought it was deep, as opposed to the shallow, skin deep portrayals of human beings I have seen in other K-dramas, and let me just tell you, I have seen a lot of them. People seem to dislike it because the plot is immoral or something, they hate the characters because they are not perfect people, living in a perfect world in which people don't get divorced, don't cheat on their spouses.....and that is just plain old hypocrisy, in my opinion! Anyone is capable of anything in this life, in given circumstances...life is not black and white, with clear lines.... love can just happen, at any time, and it doesn't mean you are the devil if you try to be happy (and love is always selfish)...it's also possible to love different people at the same time, in different ways. I think the male lead was torn between the mellow, quiet kind affection he had for his wife, which came from years of knowing each other, and the passionate, all-consuming love for SY. I loved it, loved the chemistry they had, you could just feel the tension just from their glances, even when nothing had happened. The only minus this show had is that it got a bit slow towards the end, if they had condensed it and kept it at 16 episodes it would have been better. If you think the best K-drama you have seen is Boys Over Flowers or The Heirs & the likes of that, then don't watch this. If, however, you are like me and also liked Secret Love Affair, than this is for you!!!! Enjoy!!!

I didnt wanna watch it until the end cause I thought that at least the character of HJ would be well respected as she was strong kind and patient. I was speaking to the owner of my neighborhood local Oriental grocery wanting to get her take on the drama since she's Korean--we always talk about different dramas. She said that "although these two were big actors in Korea, this drama was an absolute mess. It's like the writer just kept throwing in different crazy things trying to push these actors together to make it work and it came off very, very bad"

Let's face it, all us "complaining" ONLY wanted to keep watching in hopes that the writer would have made a smart decision to put some more climax into the drama. & I personally, kept watching especially towards the end cause I wanted to see how badly it would end for SH & SY. Honestly, we watch to finish a whole drama so we can give good reviews to those who haven't seen it & tell them if they should watch it or not. All us "complaining" have NOTHING against the acting, actors, or actresses. I don't freaking know how many times I have to stress that on here. I actually didn't read anything for this drama but found it on Dramafever on the Home page & I thought, "Hey, why not watch this one since the two main people were from "STH" & I liked "STH?" But bad idea though, I should always stick to popular dramas & reading the synopsis first. Like a previous poster commented, we watched because we had high hopes that this would have been a great hit because "STH" was.

Here is something for you to think about. Kwon Sang Woo said about this drama (he played SH): "This could be a beautiful love, if you're able to get into the characters." So he himself was saying of this drama, "It's not a beautiful love story, but it could be if you're able to get into the characters. If you can't get into the characters then it's not." The question I would have for Kwon Sang Woo, is why would you want to play in a drama where you know a lot of people won't like it or your character especially after coming off a complete failure in your last drama? Or why could you want to play in a drama where you call your own character (SH) a bad guy? Man, talk to your agents and start picking scripts where at least a greater majority of people don't think the script is stupid and your character as blah!

If it had reflected real life, then HJ's brother would have tried to beat the crap out of SH instead of saying that he understands him for cheating. HJ would have told her father, would have been so angry that he would have gone to SH's job and that of the hussy SY and told them both off. If this had been in reality, HJ would have divorced him and got alimony instead of just letting him go. I would have also gotten a little payback and pulled one of SY's number. I would have gone to the media and played the part of the poor wife. SY would have never been able to recover businesswise. I would have made a campaign against the wealthy using money to buy other women husbands. SH, I would have in true Korean style, slapped the S#!+ out of him then gladly divorced his sorry a*&*. Lastly but not least, I would have moved on with my life.

What is even worse about this drama, is no one was a friend to SY to tell her that her actions were wrong. They would let her hang herself if the name of so call love. I would love to see this love 10 years from now----if she was still a live, which is doubtful.

Plenty of other crappy tv shows out there including worse dramas than this one. People get caught up in this drama like it was was real life and the actors really did the things they did in the show. it's just a tv show. Not the greatest drama ever written but entertaining although almost all of the main characters were unlikable. It's escapism not reality so take it for what it's worth and don't get so wound up. Even if the story wasn't that great the acting was good and it was a couple of enjoyable hours of viewing a week.

I'm enjoying so much of this one, its different from all other dramas. I love all the casts especially CJW and KSW, they were still so great together and I love them both.

SH is the character I hated the most until the end when SY too the cake. This is the first time when I felt no pity, not an ounce of pity as the lead cried her heart out. I was rejoicing. I also hate the way the writer treated HJ the entire drama. She is the only character I wanted to see come out on top. SH was depicted as a greedy, money loving man who wanted to take the easy way out. Hated this drama for the message it sends. Women, if you are single or married and see a married man you want, go take him. Pay him some money and you can have him. Awful, Awful, Awful!!!!!

sonki Sep 19 2014 7:10 am I watched the ep20 and I said, REALLY. The story is interesting at the beginning, but from the1/3 to the end, it is such a lousy story.The acting is not that bad, but the story is like for the air head people.

The writer and director show no respect to the audience. if this drama gets good rating, then the K-movies cannot catch up with Hollywood any time soon, because the level of movie appreciation lead to good or bad movies.One of the Hongkong super movie stars said 30 years ago, the HK movies can't be better because the audience don't know how to watch movie.

In term of morality, it's a bad example for teen or young couples. In term of cheating, I think someone already explained what are the physical and emotional cheating.I am decently liberal, I don't discriminate prostitutes or swingers because i respect their choices and they are honestly state that. But In this case SH is the worst kind of cheating and still denies it. I can accept SY because at least she admits she is a home-wrecker.

I would recommend this movie to the people who got cheated by their spouse, boy friend or girlfriend. They would feel better because someone like HJ, such a great personality, still got cheated, unless they are better than HJ.

Next time before I watch any movie I have to check the writer / or director instead of the movie rating only.

This was the first drama that I wasn't certain how it would end, but I didn't think the writers would let Yoo Se Young die and spoil the reunion of Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Ji Woo! They left Min Woo down but not out and with no intention of getting back with his first obnoxious ex. Plus, as it turns out even the older child was liking Hong Joo in the end ;) Hong Joo -- well, don't really know what she might or might not do... could be a reunion there when Min Woo comes down off of his high and mighty horse!

I truly liked this drama all the way through. Wasn't ready for it to end at all! To all that made it possible, thanks for the memories ;) I give it 5Stars and recommend it highly! After I read through the comments, I may have been the only one who actually liked this... oh well, I'll stick with my comments ;)

i think that SY/SH ill fated relation should not end up like this. Because the first intention of SY was to test how it feels to have a man who can protect you and chose SH because she saw how he protect his wife. BUT he was a MARRIED man, How could she??

In the other hand, I expected that HJ/MW married life will be reconstructed, although from the last episode conversations between HJ and MW and MW's thought this can be found that if the drama had some other episodes he would change himself so that HJ accept his proposal again but this time she will enter different life with MW. At least i like to think this way both for HJ and MW. inspite of the bad image that the story line show us about the MW, I never want him to be the looser because his personality had some degree of innocence. The actors and actresses were so good but i think SY should be a younger actress.

I recommend to watch this drama. you will like it.

JC Sep 19 2014 2:49 am I was really looking forward to this drama, an interesting plot with potential and an amazing cast that could pull it off but I was very disappointed with how poorly the storyline was written.

I'm usually not too critical of things and try to enjoy these dramas as they are but there were way too many bothersome plot holes in this drama that had me scratching my head, wondering what the hell was the writer thinking... and things are just all over the place and stopped making sense.

I still stuck to it until the end and after a boring last episode, I couldn't help but think back to the biggest issue of the drama that still bothers me. I never really understand what made CSH give up on NHJ and suddenly develop these strong feelings for YSY. He never had an affair, was wavering but still loved his wife and tried to make things work until the end. While still ending up having a divorce...instead of reflecting on things or even trying harder to make amends after some time has passed...the relationship between CSH and YSY just happens out of nowhere literally and goes all the way...

This drama went from something I really looked forward to, to a what the hell did I just watch...

I mean everything was clearly written with pushing forward SH/SY as the OTP but it was so badly done that I felt forced to go down the tunnel without any feeling (right down to the white dress at the end).

I mean the writer gives personality transplants to characters (SY's father who was her voice of conscious suddenly turn around and tell SH to take care of his daughter), you have characters that disappear once the plot point is dealt with (roy anyone, he was cute), you have underdeveloped characters (HJ's brother and SY's sister were developed and built up throughout the WHOLE series to I assume bring us a Taadaaa moment - but without that what was the point of the sister and brother love line), you have little to no backstory about the marraige between HJ and SH ( we KNOW don't assume they were affectionate and cared about each other, she tried to commit suicide to help her husband's financial predicament, whether a good thing or not is another debate, he was WILLING to forgive her and move on) and then bang SH develops feelings SY ( I had to rub my neck because I got whiplash from the sudden movement).

The non-utilisation, disapperance and personality transformations were used to only serve the justification of SH/SY, that is poor writing. Don't create characters if they are not essential to the main plot.

And IF these characters were 'true love' I certainly didn't feel any passion , I mean there is more passion I've seen on these forum, people they are in the throes of 'true'love, but honestly it felt that they were once again appeasing the STH shippers (we must be together at all costs) I look for more than that in a storyline. It was more obssession and greed for SY and lust and ego for SH

As I have said in other forums the characterisation of SY and SH was atrocious. SY is such an unlikeable character, she did not have one single redeeming quality. Till the end she was a cow, she was vindictive, manipulative, a lair, condescending and a snob. My god when she brought HJ in as a nurse to her house, what a horrible person to create more pain cause she knew that SH was coming over and she was handing back the sparkly shoes, don't get me started on the 'apology'.

SH I saw no growth at all from the beginning to the end and for someone who is meant to be the main character I expect some arc of transformation , even MW who I found to be unlikeable (albeit the actor is sexy), even HE who had a fall I saw maybe he could change at the end.

That is why I liked HJ, I saw her growth throughout this series. She went from meek, angry , vengeful to reconciling what had happened in her life and it was painful to watch that transformation.

As well as that this writer chose to use HJ and HJ/MW to create empathy and sympathy for SH/SY through showing them to be hysterical or going through the revenge plotline. SH/SY should have stood on their own two feet as characters for me to root for them and the writer should not have used bad plot devices or create 'monsters' out of the others and make them the' bad person' for me to sympathise with SY/SH he should have DEVELOPED their characters rather than rely on their 'past relationship from another drama'. I loved Secret Love Affair and One Warm Word which both dealt with marital infidelity. Those characters were very well-developed and well-rounded and it made me root for couples that maybe I shouldn't because the storyline was COMPELLING.

Occassionally it is good to watch a really bad drama to really appreaciate a great drama and this one wins hands down in bad drama writing.

Parigi Sep 18 2014 9:41 am This drama epitomises for me the worst of drama writing. In trying to appease the STH shippers they did everything possible to try to make SH/SY palatible to the audience. The plot holes in this story were bigger than the hole in the ozone layer. I mean background story of the marriage, all we saw was they cared for each other, she tried to commit suicide to help her husband (whether good or bad is another question), he forgives and wants to be with her to ALL OF A SUDDEN having strong desire for SY (scratches head and rubs neck from whiplash). The underdeveloped characters,( HJ's brother and SY's sister was a plotpoint that was developing THROUGHOUT the series obviously to create a tadada moment and then it fizzled out -scratches head what was the use of the brother and sister love line then????), characters that disappeared from the series all together but were just used for a specific plot point to proceed (ROY anyone?????) and characters that had personality transplants (SY's father who was a voice of conscious in relation to her actions to then saying please look after my daughter, ummm WTH).

They were then forgotten, changed, conveniently not dealt with so SH/SY could be justified. and IF it was true love, I have seen more passion in these forums than onscreen with those two ( I mean they are in the throes of passion people), so that didnt even work in their favour. The short screen time between SH/HJ was more affectionate to me. I think ithe couple of SY/SH was based on greed, and obssession (SY) and lust (SH).

To top it off as I have stated the charaterisations of SH and SY were attrocious, SY is just so unlikeable as a character, manipulative, haughty, snobbish, liar and condescending. I didn't find any redeeming qualities even till then end she was a cow to HJ I mean who brings in the ex-wife to nurse her if not to create more pain she knew SH was going to show up.

SH on the other hand didn't develop at all, I mean nothing, no growth. I saw more development in MW who was an equally destestable character but after his fall to have reflected and maybe decide to act differently.

HJ who is my favourite because I saw growth in her from meek, angry, revengeful, to reconciling the situation,

But throughout it all the writer apart from the bad writing used HJ or HJ/MW to be the bad guys (through being hysterical or the revenge plotline) so we could feel sympathy or empathy for the other two, maybe if he had developed their characters more (as in well-rounded) then they could have stood own their own without using such obviously badly written plot devices. At first, it all started with SY’s bad intentions. Second, in HK, the lover boy seemed so overwhelmed with the idea that someone like SY was interested in him, neglecting the fact that his wife was truly offended with his option. And lastly, granting along the way, SY & SH truly fell in love with each other, well that’s fine with me for as long as HJ & SH were just lovers. I mean, if your ulterior motives are to get in between people who are married then you got some serious issues you need to work on. IF ONLY SY would have respected SH & HJ's marriage & herself enough, maybe she wouldn't be saying at the end how she's paying for it by not being able to have SH's kids.

tempted Sep 17 2014 10:46 pm Temptation is a melodrama...when i started to watch it, i get hooked and curious in every episodes, i get stressed, emotional and carried away till the end. The plot well describe the word Temptation and each character got the consequences of their actions and choices. No matter how the relationship of SH and SY started, their ending is still the result of their choices. Same with the MW and HJ. SH and SY chose to fight for each other no matter what the circumstances and conditions they had. HJ chose to be alone and to be happy after all the hurts she had both from SH, SY and MW and ex wife. MW in the end chose to start fresh after his fall. The drama has a lot of lessons to offer no matter what your status is. The actors were suited for the characters as matured individuals and delivered it well. Maybe we are not used to see K dramas as heavy as this one. Kudos!

USA Sep 17 2014 9:03 pm I like all the characters of this drama Temptation, but the story line is not appropriate at all. HJ suffered from the beginning of the show, yeah she got married to a wealthy guy MW but still she didn't find happiness because MW is a play boy plus due to the fact that HJ still love SH. If they want the drama to end that SH and SY will end up with each other, so they should switch the character. HJ should be on SY's character, since everybody wants SY and SH will end up each other. I agreed to some comments that the plot was not impressive. Because HJ was miserable since the beginning of the show. Got insulted so many times by SY. And her ex-husband SH didn't really try that hard in order to win her back. To sum up, it wasn't a good drama to watch. I don't really recommend it to everyone cause it is a bad influence esp. to a couple. A husband cheating on your marriage? Terrible! The kdrama titled ...A Word From One Heart. It was so much better cause the ending was in placed. Couples realized and they made up with their mistakes.

sonki Sep 16 2014 7:59 pm I finished the ep 19 too. What I like in this ep is HJ rejected MW when he asked her to come back with him. SY finally woke up after the long sleep of the surgery. The Interesting point is she asked HJ to be her personal nurse and I hope there is some change in SY (for better). Also I like about HJ character: go by the compassion as a nurse to whom even you consider as enemy (initially she wanted to leave SY’s place). I don’t think SY wants to create a triangle and I hope SY really wakes up after the surgery. Can not wait to see SH’s reaction when he knows HJ as the home caregiver for SY. So far he still has 0% growth as one comment-er said.

Hi …., Relax and wait to see the conclusion. This movie does not bother/irritate me much, because it shows the reality. The title reflects the plots of the movie: Temptation, by definition, == desire to do something wrong. Some people in life don’t satisfy with what they have, but just want to go after what they don’t have even it is morally wrong. I would not recommend this movie to anyone because the main characters SY and SH are in the “temptation” for too long (almost the whole length of the drama). Sometimes it misleads the audience: whatever the main characters do it is always fine or great.

Even I don’t like this movie but I have learned something from it.

Naomi Sep 16 2014 2:54 pm Temptation is one of the WORSE, most "SHAMELESS" and CRUEL dramas I have watched! I could not finish the show and therefore removed it from my queue. The president of a big company had everything and could have had any "SINGLE" man that she could Buy with all her riches. Why seduce and break up a poor woman's marriage with her money? Why make choi ji woo and kwon sang woo characters look innocent, pitiful and pure? Why make the wife appear as though she was the villain and had no right to protest the betrayal of her husband and his illicit relationship with another woman? Is choi ji woo that insecure that she has a need to always appear perfect in all her dramas? I will never again watch anything with the names kwon sang woo or choi ji woo attached to it.

.... Sep 16 2014 2:06 pm I've JUST finished episode 19 & is very disappointed SY would even request her boyfriend's ex-wife to be her personal nurse. I get she knows & understands what kinda surgery SY had but that's no reason to request her to be the personal nurse for her. SY does get that SH will be visiting her from time to time & HJ will be there, adds more to the already uncomfortable triangle. Or is SY trying to show off to HJ while SH is there tending to her & visiting her. SY REALLY HAS NO shame or face to be requesting such things of a person who she stole her husband. If I were HJ I would leave too, but seeing how SY has bad luck, of course she would start to hurt when HJ is about to leave. This drama is irritating & stupid. I'm just waiting to finish it so I can rant on & on about how horribly written it was. ***IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A DRAMA TO WATCH THAT IS GOOD, WATCH "IT'S OKAY, THAT'S LOVE."*** It's such a good, funny & cute drama! And why would the woman who first gave up on the husband did everything she could to destroy him? It's her choice in the first place, for crying out loud! Totally screwed up show and plot. A pure waste of the artistes' talent although Park Ha Sun's acting is painfully bad to watch.

She really did a lot of mistakes, but what makes her shine in her vulnerable state, is her admittance of those failures and try to make her life better while mending her broken-heart without seeking attentions from those inconsiderate men who made her life miserable. Angel, I'd like to thank you for understanding me but I don't think it's a generation gap or how people are taught & brought up. Some people just want to be ignorant & ignore the facts from fiction & they let the characters get the best of them. I will say it has a little to do with how they were brought up now I guess, if they weren't taught morally right from wrong. I stand for what I see in this drama, I don't let the emotions or the portrayal of characters get the best of me. This is a very interesting drama, & I'm sure we can all learn from this drama. I'm just not sure I would do some of the things some of these characters did. I am very anxious to see how the ending goes, I hope the writer had in mind an ending pleasing to everyone!

But wow!, parigi!!!!, FINALLY!!!!!! Someone to depict & analyze the storyline & characters for us! What I've been trying to say but just couldn't find the right words to write down! I, too, agree with EVERYTHING you said!

HJ was ask to be a private nurse ( she did not it was for SY) Driver pick HJ, while looking around, SY walk toward her and was shock that it was Sy. She ask the driver get back her luggage, driver don't move, so goes into the house, SY follows and kept talking to HJ, as HJ grab her luggage and ready to leave, SY Moan painfully. HJ turn look at SY, went to the table to get her medicine and gave SY. Wow, this story is doing about face. When SY woke up after couple days of her surgery, SH took her outside for fresh air, and here come's HJ walk toward them, looking blue and sad. There you can see, she was still in love with SH. MW and ex-wife still in turbulent, haven forbid, MW still evil guy!

She is a kind woman who has had to deal with a lot and I hope that the writer gives her a sense of peace and she walks away with her head held high ( NOT with SH who I think is the biggest wimp and wishy washy character). In all honesty I couldn't care less what happens to SH and SY but I would like the writer to show that there is a sense of shame and guilt for the damage and hurt they have caused.

 For SY's part, this whole drama ,she has been haughty, holier than thou, condescending and extremely manipulative, she  tried to manipulate the man she claims to love to see if he would find out from HJ about MW's files as well as her own sister when she tries to weasel information from her to see of SH is in contact with HJ and these are people she loves sheeeesh imagine the people she hates not to mention a liar she has lied and covered up at every turn about her dalliance and HOW it all started, her self-justification is she went and spoke to HJ in her condescending tone to NOT break up  otherwise he was up for grabs   gee I bet HJ felt happy to hear that from her, anyway I digress.

For those who think cheating equals sex well I would say that emotional cheating is FAR MORE painful (SH has as much as admitted he had feeling for SY in HK) as it creates a huge distance and lonliness for the other person and you feel horrible and well as a terrible sadness, how long do you have to feel that before you say enough is enough. A wife knows where her man's heart is at, even though she may not want to admit it. I would say HJ was brave as she initiated the divorce even though she was stilll IN LOVE with her husband, it would have been even more painful had they stayed married and SH was clearly going throught the 'motions' with no real committment to saving his marriage juxtapose that with how hard he has been chasing SY as she continuously and ad nauseum pushes him away (He is obsessed again I don't really see LOVE as I see him as very wishy washy and weak in fact, he goes with what feels good at the time to hell the consequences).

 In fact the writer is at fault as he didn't really flesh out the marriage of HJ and SH (clearly not important for the OTP but would have been nice for continuity sake)  we saw in HK  that after 10 years there was still affection (the hugs in bed) so a bit more information so I can  understand how SH's love changed SO dramatically (because frankly I can't see it, obssession is what I see) it went bam straight to suicide attempt and then SY using the oppourtunity as she saw them as a loving couple to make waves.

In fact out of all the characters I see HJ has had the most growth and she is not meant to be even the central character, but we see her cycle of pain from denial, anger, acting out to acceptance.

SY and SH frankly 0 growth ( I wonder if the writer is giving the STH people the OTP just so they can stop complaining), because as a couple I honestly don't see the growth they live their  'love' in a bubble because no one except HJ, knows the complete truth about their relationship so their actual relationship is not even truthful and a relationship is also about your family and friends and how they see you as well, it started as a money exchange and 'game' for SY to make waves, she was very competitive and went after SH (SH obviously flattered, what man's ego would not be bolstered when a rich beautiful woman chases them) and attacked HJ self-confidence by her patronizing and quite frankly catty comments, never have i seen her sincere (sorry the OTP shippers no sincerity just adolescent lust no BIG LOVE for me).  So big 0 for me on their account but I am afraid the writer I think has decided that they are the OTP so they must have a happy ever after hopefully they are shown somewhere along the line in the last two episodes to show TRUE remorse and a little shame for their actions even if they stay together ( I think SY will survive, that writer would be crucified if he killed her off because some people hold these actors previous characters in STH and have transposed them into this series which is COMPLETELY different).

Go HJ and thank god for true growth. Peace out

Tempted Sep 14 2014 10:02 pm this is just a drama. lets get entertained and learn the lessons out from each characters they portray and each situations that they were in. we may put ourselves to anyone in the character, the reason we shared our individual reactions because we feel we can relate to either HJ or SY or MW or SH or the rest. This is an intense drama and quite realistic. Lets hope for the best to each characters. And hope that the writers will justisfy everything and most of all satisfy the viewers on its ending.

But like I've said before some people have more faults than others. Like I've also stated before, if you're telling us to recap to episodes 1 & 2 again then I must tell you to do the same. As I've said over & over, SH REALLY seemed like he was gonna forgive his wife for wanting to kill herself. He REALLY seemed like he was gonna understand her & put himself in her shoes for wanting to kill herself let alone even thinking about it. But then SY saw the love they shared & she wanted that too. So she set out to use money to get him. In times of your struggles & issues, do you expect someone to just come & ruin everything while you could have worked it out? SY saved HJ but she sought that out as an opportunity to get SH. She wanted to feel & see what it would be like to get the heart of a man, & sadly, that was the heart of a married man. Are you married Copycat? Would you allow this to happen to you & your spouse? Yes, SH had many hardships & went through a much tougher time than HJ, but that doesn't justify SY coming in to this already fallen marriage & putting her nose in their business. If anything, 1) she should have let HJ die if she was just gonna seek out to get her husband or 2) leave the married couple alone & LET THEM WORK OUT THEIR DAMN PROBLEMS!!!! Just because SY is rich doesn't mean she should be throwing money at people to solve their problems. & just because she saved HJ's life doesn't mean she should get HJ's life. Good people do good deeds so they go unnoticed & they wouldn't even want anything back. Saving someone's life & being rich should have been enough for SY to be happy with her life & that she was actually born wayyyyy more fortunate than most people! Like I've also said, SH had many choices, going to jail could have been one because if he didn't do anything wrong like what most you people say then he shouldn't be afraid to go present at a court, go to trial, & find justice. Even if he went to jail, that would have been better than having his marriage broken. I'm sure his time in jail would have been short & time would have healed the hurt from going to jail. But nothing can heal the heart of your loved one leaving you. If you think SY's actions are justifiable then please, let me introduce your husband to a few rich CEOs & if you're still willing to love & trust your husband then alright, cool! You win. But if you can't trust your husband or the rich CEOs then you lose. It's always easier said than done, yeah yeah, "I wouldn't mind & would let my husband sleep with a rich women if we needed money." 1) That's downright wrong, whatever problems you & your husband have should stay between you two, 2) If your husband did nothing wrong there's no need to spend time with a random women just for money, & 3) other people need to respect your marriage. You, yourself, also have to respect your marriage. You make & take vows to love one another til death do you part. A maririage is about to fall apart, but instead of supporting them, you push them to the ground & stomp on them even more. Is that right or wrong?

Like I said to Aunty, either you're a women who doesn't mind getting in between people that's why you find SY's actions justifiable or you're a women who doesn't value the importance of a marriage & respect not only for others but for yourself also. I think everyone hates SH for making the decisions when he did have the hardest time of choosing whether to go to jail or be lucky enough to find a way out. SY was a little arrogant and played the game to see which path SH would take.

But HJ is no where near innocent during that time in HK nor after HK. She only caused SH to think more desperately because now he would think that money is extremely important to save his wife’s life.

I also find it funny how people say HJ was going through tough times but SH was going through a tougher time. Sure HJ might have problems with the condo really but then out of emotion, tries to commit suicide? And every time SH went to HJ to reconcile, she never really accepted him even though he never claimed(?) that his time in HK was not a physical relationship for 3 days. The only day it wasn’t for work was the last day, where I think SH wanted to blow off steam from all his troubles with his wife, but she wasn’t there so SY worked.

I don’t hate HJ but she’s clearly not free of guilt and she isn’t the most innocent character. Her actions based on emotions have done nothing but harm. She kept doubting SH and while that’s justified to an extent, she took the divorce route out of impatience and anger, leading to a character walking down the bad path.

If all would retract of the beginning of the first episode 1, and 2, you will understand what had happen in this drama from day one.

We aren't hating on them because of that, we are discussing how their actions don't make the characters credible. Like stated before, because OBVIOUSLY, you didn't read, we don't care about the actual actors & actresses, EVERYONE HERE PRETTY MUCH AGREES WE ALL KNOW THEY ARE REAL PEOPLE JUST PORTRAYING A CHARACTER!!!! Either 1) you love this drama because you love the characters themselves & can't see past how SY is a homewrecker or 2) you probably are a SY that's why you don't mind her doing what she did. Or you are probably one of those people who wouldn't care or mind if your husband slept around to get money. I mean, if he did nothing wrong then why do some of you want him to sleep with another women for money? If he did nothing wrong & it was all his friend's fault then 1) SH needs to own up or 2) I'm sure the justice system in Korea wouldn't just convict people wrongly so SH could have stopped being a scardy cat & proved his innocence. Maybe you are one of those people who think this is a good drama because you let the actors & actresses get to your emotions. No one in any way is talking bad about the acting of these actors & actresses. Obviously, it's their jobs but we're talking more about what & how we feel about this drama.

SH is a very Good Actor, who always act so sincere and with great pride, with enthusiasm very handsome with a smile on his face.

SY one of the greatest actress in Korea most of her drama get to be recognized and is love by all of her great performance.She is elegant, sophisticate, glamorous, powerful in her acting and is sooooooooooooooooo Beautiful person. The rest of the cast : HJ, beautiful, but not to aggressive but sweet in her acting. MW, handsome in many ways, a bit of show-off, but doing a great job in acting.

Still LOVE this drama, not matter what you all have against it. Just watch and enjoy, and relaxed, Cause I can't do any better acting, that is provided to them.

The acting is great, but very demoralizing at times. sy (Choi Jiwoo) is doing a great job as a CEO and home wrecker. .Sh (Kwon Sang Woo) also is as good as he was in "cruel Love"n or "Queen of ambition). HJ (Park Ha Son) I love her but the writer gave her a very difficult part. She demonstrated the the great grief and jealousy she felt for her lost love, and at times I got the feeling very much that she regretted it but revenge is a very strong emotion. She felt the great betrayal. Mw (Lee Jung jin) played the ever present player that many men act out. He was more understanding with Soo Ae in "2 outs in the Ninth" But he was the least fine actor in this drama. Of course I did not like the writer, but the story had to proceed in this manner. My feelings were that HJ and SH should end up together, but I am not sure if that will occur. And that is the point that this drama disappoints me. HJ did a very difficult acting job in this drama compared to "two Weeks" or "3 day" She really had to show, and she did, a lot of emotions. She was the best actor in this drama, Sj, a usually good actor just played along did not compare to his previous acting rolls. Choi was not convincing in her role and her out word emotions were a bit trite.

The acting is great, but very demoralizing at times. sy (Choi Jiwoo) is doing a great job as a CEO and home wrecker. .Sh (Kwon Sang Woo) also is as good as he was in "cruel Love"n or "Queen of ambition). HJ (Park Ha Son) I love her but the writer gave her a very difficult part. She demonstrated the the great grief and jealousy she felt for her lost love, and at times I got the feeling very much that she regretted it but revenge is a very strong emotion. She felt the great betrayal. Mw (Lee Jung jin) played the ever present player that many men act out. He was more understanding with Soo Ae in "2 outs in the Ninth" But he was the least fine actor in this drama. Of course I did not like the writer, but the story had to proceed in this manner. My feelings were that HJ and SH should end up together, but I am not sure if that will occur. And that is the point that this drama disappoints me. HJ did a very difficult acting job in this drama compared to "two Weeks" or "3 day" She really had to show, and she did, a lot of emotions. She was the best actor in this drama, Sj, a usually good actor just played along did not compare to his previous acting rolls. Choi was not convincing in her roll and her out word emotions were a bit trite.

.... Sep 11 2014 9:21 pm Sonki, FINALLY another person who understands me. I won't & don't let the emotions of the characters get to me. I see it & say it like how it is! I would rate this drama a 2/5 too. It's really hard to like the characters even if I try my best to relate or put myself in their shoes. Won't be recommending it to anyone even though after I finish a drama I usually recommend so others can know if they should watch it or not. But not this one!

Sonki Sep 11 2014 6:56 pm After watching a few top 2hr Korean (comedy/romantic) movies: My Sassy Girl, Baby and Me, Classic, Fall Winter Spring Summer, … I can say that Korean movies are doing so well in term of acting and very close to Oscar level.

My first time comment for this site because I am curious why people give this movie 4.5/5.

For the Temptation movie due to the very well rating 4.5/5 and I thought that it was not a long series movie, so I accidently clicked on the 1st episode, and then I was stuck with the first 6-8 episodes. After that I am bored with movie storyline because the similar scenes are repeated over and over again. I am done with the episode 18 for now. Even it is not interesting any more but I am curious to complete this movie to see the conclusion and the final judgment of the main characters: SY, SH, HJ, MW. This is my first long movie and I won’t watch any other Korean long series movies, but back to the ~2hr movies.

After watching the 1st 6 episodes, I would rate this movie as 4/5. But after 18 episodes, I would give this as 2/5 because mainly it is just the common style: the underdog vs the evil topdog, the main character SH is the hero and very kind to and the audience.

To “…. Or Noname”, you are one of the few who can state the facts of the movie and the common morally right/wrong, instead of following the emotions of the movies. Most of the times the main character(s) has to do the morally right things. But in this case SH is the good guy, but morally did the wrong thing: cheating, even worse, he did not know he cheated his wife and he claimed on his wife did not trust him, because he did not commit the physical sx in HK. A few episodes after the divorce of SH and HJ, he admitted that he really had feeling with SY since HK.

Don’t get me wrong that I am not judging SH because I probably cannot escape the temptation if a rich CEO wants me. I may do the same thing as SH, but I know that it’s wrong. I hope he could see that at the end of the movie.

Home-wrecker is a great word to describe SY. I wish SY survive the surgery. She needs to admit she was the home-wrecker. If not she will continue to have bad dreams for the rest of herself.

HJ - When she divorced SH, she did the right thing though because you can’t stay to marry to a person when “his heart is not in his body”. What she did wrong was to marry to MW for revenge purpose. But she realized that was bad then she got out of that rich/famous house. I like what she stated (not exact words) “when you want someone to go to hell, you are the one come along with”. I hope she can find peace in her single life without thinking about SH.

SY clearly is in all means, the portrayal of what a homewrecker really is. You save a life just so you can play the role of a hero & benefit from it. Good people do good deeds because they want it to go unnoticed & they would never want to benefit from it in any way! It would have been better for the scriptwriters to let HJ die when she tried to kill herself. Then SH would be a free man & I'm sure he would have gone straight to SY as soon as HJ died! Because that's the kind of character SH is too. Like I've stated before & will continue to say, you see a couple falling & having problems & you seek out the opportunity to even make the husband yours, now that's just wrong on so many levels! Yeah yeah, some of you speak of this "everyone makes mistake" & "to trust your husband" but I'm sure if this happened & you were in THAT SPECIFIC situation would you do the same or act upon the issues differently? It's always easier said than done, & some of you have to really go back & sort out your relationship with your spouse first if you think it's ever ok for someone to admit & confess their love for your spouse other than you.

angel, I agree that HJ is the ONLY person who is deserving of a happy ending. Why?, like many of you spoke before "making mistakes & everyone does it so why can't we all look past those mistakes & forgive" ? Which is EXACTLY what HJ did. She still did the damage & pain but she realized it, rather later than sooner, but she still realized that what she has been doing & the way she has been living is down-right wrong! It takes a lot & a strong women to actually admit her wrongdoings.

angel Sep 11 2014 1:29 am HJ was right on her decision to divorce SH because even now, it is very clear that SH has really a transfer of affection to SY even before he parted ways with HJ. HJ on the other hand was wrong to marry MW out of revenge. The only redeeming grace for her is that despite her intention to use MW’s power for her own agenda, she still really did her best to be a good step-mother to his kids, a submissive wife & respectful daughter-in-law. Despite doing all these, she still failed but at the same time acknowledges her mistakes and makes amends to those whom she thought she stepped on along the way. That is why she is the only character that I so wish will deserve happy ending.

Like I've said before & will continue to say, I will never recommend this drama to anyone because I can't find myself to relate or like it. I wouldn't even recommend it to someone who her husband was stolen away by some rich brat. I wouldn't even recommend to a guy who is so weak-hearted to fall into a trap all for money. I wouldn't also recommend it, not even to a women who is trying to tempt another women's husband! Better yet, I'm not recommending it AT ALL! I WILL watch this drama to the end, because I'm waiting for a repeat of Stairway to Heaven! The writers can't ruin this drama anymore than it already has been ruined!!!

The first mistake goes to THE MAN OR SHOULD I SAY THE CO OWNER (or what you ever called them CEO sort of) WHO RAN MOST OF THE investment money. 2. HJ shouldn't take it in herself to be the sacrificial Lamb and to die in exchange for the insurance just to take care things up... In any case they "did not meet SY" whom save her life... 3. SY for curiosity on why the couples(SH and HJ) are in HONGKONG. Curiosity becomes a little bit of sympathy then turn to greediness.. 4. SH for grabbing the opportunity to have a easy money and afraid to what will happen to them once they go back empty handed in KOREA. (committing suicide / they're house will be confiscated by BANK. etc. 5. LASTLY to the Writer that write this DRAMA.. THEY INTENDED TO BROKE the MARRIAGE of HJ and SH just to pave way to the SY and SH tandem.. Which from the start is the MAIN PROTAGONIST of the DRAMA. By the also to all the viewers LIKE ME.. WHO ARE ALWAYS PUTTING BLAME TO OTHERS MISERIES... LIKE they are the cleanest PEOPLE of the world. knowing that we are also people whom having a mistake just like the characters in this DRAMA... - Just don't get carried away... If I was in HJ place I would have never reacted the way she did trying to kill herself an all. Telling her hubby to take care of her dad with the insurance money. I would have been glad that my hubby got the money to take care of that problem. I prefer for him to sleep with a woman that to have him in jail for something he didn't do. I hope this drama doesn't end like stairway to heaven because it was very sad. I hope SY and CHA end up together. Even her dad is giving in. Please Please a happy ending.

This is not SY, SH ,HJ ,and MW, fault they have to follow, what ever SCRIP giving to them, they have to read and ACT ACCORDING to what each SCRIP have for them. No Actors or Actress is to be BLAME, it is what is providing for them to say, act or etc....................on their scrip. If anyone to be BLAME, consult the writer.

How in the world you can wish someone to die, you wouldn't want it to happen to anyone ....................

Best if this drama is really getting to you, STOP watching, there is other drama to watch and enjoy.

Other wise just relaxed and see the ending.

Married man should Never put another woman close to them other than wife. CEO SY was upset to see when SH & HJ talked at the party especially when she had those dreams. I hope HJ can be happy with MW which strangely i find him cute :) and to be honest i hope SY died at the operation. Sorry SY fans

You let the husband & wife work things out to their ability & if they can't you then jump in to grab the husband. I would feel JUST as bad & guilty if I were the cause of a relationship ending. Every relationship has the right to try & work things out whether it be the wife wanting to kill herself, let her explain to HER husband & let them try to work to come to a solution together. & if they can't then they BOTH can be willing participants of a failed marriage/divorce. Everyone is at fault in this drama, some more than others & I can't bring myself to like or relate to this drama. I thought it would be a good one since the two main characters from Stairway to Heaven were in here & again making a drama together but this drama totally tips my scale, it comes in rating at 100th out of the 100 dramas I've seen!

And SH was already cheating by that time, not physically but emotionally. He already had feelings for another woman, that is also considered cheating. And the finger should be pointed at SY, she was told to leave them alone even by MW, and she still persisted. For SY and HJ to keep communicating and meeting after Hong Kong was just wrong in every way. No wife would want her husband to continue in anyway seeing or talking to the woman she thought he may have been cheating on her with. And SY knew what she did was wrong, why else would she have been so ashamed when it came out in the open.

People work hard to be where they are at in their marriages & it requires forgiveness, love patience, & trust. Just remember this, I don't recall which episode it was but SH REALLY seemed like he was gonna forgive HJ for killing herself. He really seemed like he was willing to understand & continue to love & be strong for the both of them, but what can ya do right? When some rich bratty CEO sees your husband's love for you & WANTS that same thing, love isn't envious. I'm sure at this point SY was "in love" with SH already but she envied the love between these two who had problems(but what married couple doesn't) & she went full throttle at someone who was weak-hearted already. Also Remember, I'm pretty sure somewhere in the Bible the Lord condemns those who tempt others to do bad things. The Devil tempted God 3 times but he never once fell for it! Temptation to fall into drugs, sex, adultery, doing bad things, those who are the cause & reason for tempting others should die in HELL!

I'm pretty sure the Lord finds marriage to be a beautiful thing between TWO people. This is definitely a drama I would never recommend to anyone even though I am a K-drama addict!

HJ knows how heart broken Sh was, and in many respect, they enjoy the $3000.00 grand his friend left for him,HJ wanted to have fun and enjoy what ever they could in HONG KONG, and SH please HJ did want she wanted, isn't LOVE! He even Bought her the shoe she admire, lie to the sale lady and told the sale lady my wife have cancer, she need this shoe. He was sooooo much in debt, when SY offer him to work that three days, it was money he needed to repay his debt. That three days, he was very good husband and faithful. And yes, she is human and have feeling, no one ever twinkle her heart, as SH did, altho' there was no love scene between those two when he work the three days for her. Tell me, what woman in her right mind would quickly accept a marriage proposal with a promise from MW to crush SH and SY, just to do revenge on them SH and SY, she really need help. SH wanted is marriage back so much, that even bought a new ring to remarried HJ, but she ends up telling him, she wants to retire with this marriage and gave him a divorce paper. WOW! what a women, I thought she was so in love with SH. So don't blame or point finger on SY, she is available and also have feeling.

Just let me say 2 things: 1) A marriage is a sacred bond between TWO people who have made vows to love one another & OTHERS need AND should respect their marriage & let them work things out without intruding. Especially in the case of SY, paying a married man to stay with her for 3 days. She should have respected that SH & HJ had problems, what married couple doesn't? & she should have let them work to resolve those problems together instead of getting all in their business. In this world, we all struggle, whether it be with our looks, financially or whatever problems you're having, but that doesn't mean money can solve everything & that you should be so easy as to accept money or throw money to those who are struggling financially. 2) I REALLY HOPE & WISH & PRAY that all you who are saying it's ok for SY to come in between two married people, I hope all you women saying that, that some rich snotty bratty CEO women comes & tempts & deduces YOUR spouse in a time of need for money. as for those who said that HJ didnt try. you are referring to earlier episodes. when HS came back, she did accept it. she accepted what he chose. what really lead her to leave was she needed him at the drs appointment. he wasnt there. instead she found him there with someone else.

saying that she was selfish that she took the babysitting job, it was HS who didnt trust her. even though he was tje one who should not be trusted.

he did say that he loved his wife but he also told another woman that he missed her. he lnew it was wrong but he did it anyway.

Remember SY ask SH a questioned? His answer was I LOVE MY WIFE! And remember his wife HJ said to SY “QUOTE! “I TRUST MY HUSBAND”

But Jealousy over took HJ and everything fell apart!

It takes TWO to Tangle, not only one person get all the blame! Nothing is perfect in life, even the monkey falls of the three.........etc.......

Remember how much SH and HJ was so in Love? But things have curve nothing is straight as life goes on, we can't predict the future on what lies ahead of everyone.

You also must have missed where SY asked HJ to not give up on SH and to be there for him. Or the part where SY told SH not to divorce but try to make it work with his wife. Or the fact HJ imagined the worst and couldn't let go of her bitterness. Hence, the divorce which she wanted and SH didn't want. That's what happens when you skip scenes and not know the whole story. Please be encouraged to become more like SY who is beautiful, smart, kind, and definitely tries to think of others before herself. You should be so lucky! HJ agreed to marry MW the day he got divorced so who's moving on right after divorce. HJ did that to get revenge. Crazy person. For SY and SH it's love, love, love, and great looks. She apologized & even SH seemed like he was understanding enough to forgive his wife. But then this conniving rich brat sees how much he loved his wife & wanted that too since she ain't never had a boyfriend before & she set out to ruin their marriage. SY couldn't just let SH & HJ work things out by themselves but she had to use money to get SH, which is pathetic! Any relationship starting off with money is set to end before it even starts. First of all, if you're gonna have a married man stay with you for 3 days, why can't he contact anyone? Obviously SY wanted to cause a misunderstanding between a wife & husband. Seriously!, couldn't they just have made a drama with KSW & CJW being the main leads right off the bat instead if adding another party like SH's wife HJ? I'm a wife & mother as well & I could only imagine & feel what HJ is going through. Put yourself in her shoes those who are saying it's no big deal SY seduced & tempted SH. Plus, SH's character in here is so weak-hearted in this drama. I absolutely loved him in A Sad Love Story! Also, I'm ONLY finishing this drama because KSW is in here, if it were another actor I would have dropped this drama a long time ago! All I know is, I'm a drama-addict & would basically recommend any drama I saw to others but this IS THE FIRST drama I will NEVER be recommending to anyone! But then after writing all this & thinking about it some more, SY & SH deserve each other. I just hope SH doesn't run into another women who can tempt him & change his heart as easily as SY did. It would be awesome to see SY get a taste of her own medicine! Karma will get to SY & SH even if HJ & MW can't.

For SY, who never was in LOVE, was a workaholic, and realize she felt a deep feeling for SH which he capture her (SY) heart she was so breath taking by his every move. Altho’ knowing he was a married man, what can she do! Love do strange things!

As SY was very much Available she had every instance to chase after SH!. Which SH try to revived his marriage but HJ said she wants to retire from him and gave him a divorce paper. SH Love HJ, He try is best to get back with her. He left SY and her (SY) company and wanted to recoop his marriage to HJ, and bought a new ring for HJ and him, but instead she gave him a release paper to get divorce. He also saw her finger without their first wedding ring. That must have really hurt him. Who is to blame? I believe it is HJ, who gave up so fast and let SH go without a battle, as she claim she love and trust her husband.

For SY & SH, they have soooooooooooo much Chemistry together, every drama the act together was so GREAT and POWERFUL, they are Match Made IN Heaven! Both are Good Actor and Actress! Hope ending will be Good, maybe Sad!

analyst Sep 03 2014 12:32 pm Fear not dreamhigh, let me explain what I saw on episode 15 and 16, the writers want us to see that whether you are a rich or poor person, no matfer who you are, you're going to have insecurities based on what you see as a person in love. I have no doubt SH loves SY and will be together at the end. What we saw in the drama is what writers wanted us to see, what the characters are feeling. We. are angered and hurt by what we saw as SY was seeing and feeling and thinking, the insecurties that made SY dream the worst about HJ and SH, but if you go back and watch both episodes, SH is always watching over SY and he even risked his life to help SY by getting those documents from MW. It's the wording SH used to say that he wouldn't ask where the documents were that MW had hidden in that villa. SH said he wouldn't ask HJ where the documents were even if HJ knew and SY assumed he was doing that to protect HJ, but SH did that out of guilty feeling due to how he and HJ divorced. That feeling will remain as long as HJ is unhappy. Remeber what HJ said to MW when he asked why HJ didn't give SH a second chance, HJ said it's because SH's feelings had already gone to someone else even at the time SH's body had not. Even in episode 16 we think the worst when HJ came to SH because she had no one to talk to and SH held HJ's hand. If you looked closely at SH face there was pity in SH eyes and not love. SY is very sick and as we thought, she probably thought the worst. SY will survive and will forgive SH and understand as HJ didn't understand. That is going to be the difference between HJ and SH'S relationsbip and SY and SH'S relationsbip. SH has found true love with SY. If you remember SH once said happy people are alike, SH and SY are both idealist and are very happy being together, think back on the earlier episodes. I think in the next episode SY and HJ's extenede families will come together in the hospital and more drama to follow. If the writers are thinking to let SY die , we will definitely straighten them out!

NHJ is understandable. Her desire for revenge is misguided but given the goading from YSY, understandable.

YSY is a cold, self contained, spoiled, coniving rich brat. Someone in a previous posting mentioned that she saved NHJ's life but what she did was not heroic. Any decent person who saw another human drowning would, should do the same thing. It would have been morally corrupt to have NOT saved her. But their argument seem to be that since YSY saved NHJ's life her rightful payment should be giving her husband to YSY?

As for him, CSH, he's the worst of all. He couldn't stand that his wife was living in another man's house, to care for his son, but it's perfectly acceptable for him to meet YSY behind HJ's back, for whatever reason! After declaring his love to another woman, he thinks HJ should cry tears of joy and jump into his arms with gratitude when he decides to "do the right thing". "HJ, I love another woman but I'm going stick to my marriage vow?" Really? He's pissed and surprised because she knew him for the fake that he was and refused to take the left-over garbage that he was presenting to her. Then he has the nerve to tell her and the whole world that he's proud of himself because he's done everything he possibly could to save his marriage.

The only smart and truly innocent one is KMW. Whatever his issues with his first wife, she is not innocent in the ending of their marrieage. As for the business dealings, I think he's smart and being a good CEO. Now that he's using his money and might for his new wife, more power to him.

in all honesty Sep 01 2014 2:43 pm honestly, i think most of the viewers here are just behind the actual actor and actress. if CJW and KSW were HJ and MW, im sure i'll hear a difference in opinion. it doesnt matter what role they play, viewers will always find reasons to go behind them and attack other characters. KSW character told his ex wife to not think about him, that taking revenge and ruining his life wont make her feel any better. then what did he swear that he will do to MW when MW has exposed him and CJW? hypocrite much? point is, once you are hurt by someone, you are driven to ruin them. until you have come to accept what has happened i dont think anyone would understand what its like to be hj unless you are in the same or similar shoes. trust is hard to retrieve once it has already been broken.

HJ could have taken SH's offer to make the marriage work but she didn't and SH could have denied to get the divorce if he wanted to. Let's put the blame on the right people, the couple. The story line of this drama flows very well. Of course its not so great message to the audience about how financial problem could break up a marriage or how is it easy for people who are born with silver spoon have it easy like min woo in this drama but we all can say it could happen in real life too. Just A thought Aug 29 2014 3:06 am We all can say that its wrong for SH to even went to SY at first for the a million but the reason they SH went to SY was because of her wife then, he do not want to see her wife suffer and the thought of her committing suicide for him is just unbearable for him. Also we can say that its wrong for SH to pay SY $3 to spend 3 hours with him but maybe SH felt pity that SY actually work her ass off and he felt wronged for misunderstanding it for bed service. Also its wrong for SH to help SY company when SY was sick but SH friend told him about the situation plus he knows how SY works her ass off in hong kong for that deal. This drama is well written with the correct circumstances even if our moral values/society did not allow us to actually respect women like SY who breaks up the marriage or encourage the relationships between them but from what I see their attraction to each other was stronger. We can't blame entirely SY for the divorced but if anything blame on SH's suicide partner who make them in that situation for the other events to take place. But who knows if it's fate things would still happen and SY and SH would still be together.

Aug 27 2014 2:17 am i think hong joo has every right to be feeling the way that she does. this sort of betrayal was done by someone she loved, it is unforgivable and it does consume you. anyone in that position cannot help but feel resentment towards a cheating partner and his mistress. you can say that she easily gave up on their marraige whilst SH was fighting for it, but he wasnt there when she needed him (at her drs appointment). he threw their marraige away long before the divorce. you can argue and say that she was suicidal when her husband needed her the most, that she was selfish. you cannot blame someone for having suicidal thoughts. it is hard to act on them; the fact that she had tried to act on it means that she has had thought about it for a while. and it eventually lead her to commiting the act. they wrote suicidal lightly in the drama which is not the case in reality.

CJW needs to take responsibilty for her own actions! her dad collapsed after hearing about something that she had done. what she had done was a low blow. she was just a bored little rich girl.

I hope hong joo succeeds in her revenge.

What's important here is his wife's feelings not some kind of attraction thats gonna be gone quickly!!! He's missing the main part of being an honorable husband, and that's responsibility!! For the watchers who are angry with HJ for being emotion and overreaction thats completely ridiculous. This girl was left for some other girl and was cheated on! who wouldn't feel emotionally wrecked! she has every right to get revenge on them two. CJW is being silly since its her first love and all but grow the hell up. She got between a married couple, seduced the man and broke them up! End of story. I can't believe people are forgetting the main part of this show. A married couple got divorced because of a third wheel showed up. Put yourself in her shoes, and understand whats she's going through. I hope Na Hong Joo comes back even stronger and be the wonderful woman she was in the first eps. No, he didn't do anything physical with the CEO, but worse, he actually RECIPROCATED her feelings and CONFESSED. The wife isn't crazy or over-reacting, she's doing the right thing. Let's see you get married and then your husband signs some kind of contract to another woman and then tells her he likes her, he spends all the time with her and doesn't care about the wife's feelings. If I were Hongjoo, I wouldn't return to that disgusting husband, who already loves another woman and spends the whole time with her. I don't know about the revenge, but if that excuse of a husband and his mistress suffer, they sure as hell deserve it.

On a side note, it's really uncomfortable to look at Lee Jungjin. I don't know why, but his face gives me unpleasant feelings. And I can't imagine sitting next to Choi Jiwoo. Gosh, her face solely gives me the chills, makes me so uncomfortable.

After coming back he continues to see her. Even when Na Hong Joo was trying to keep the family together and loot to the future the husband was out helping the mistress. I don't know about any other women out there but I don't want to hear my husband say he has feelings for another women and that other woman has no rights to approach me and tell me that she's set her sights on my husband.

The husband is very selfish, unkind and most certainly not thoughtful of the wife. If he was he would not have openly said I am shaken by her and he would not have taken a job in her company if he really wanted to safe his marriage.

Is anyone curious as to why he didn't throw away the ring that Na Hong-Joo returned to him? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Na Hong-Joo .....Make them pay. I am all for your revenge succeeding.

Her husband didn't cheat on her w/the rich lady, yet she's willing to marry (which entails sleeping with & raising his kids) a man who she doesn't even love to get revenge. I hope she gets it in the end. This is a drama and not real life , so, of course, I wouldn't condone this in real life. Keeps me wondering what's going to happen next... :)

Her husband Seok-hoon has found out that his partner ran away with all the money from their business. They go to get it back and his partner kills himself and leaves them a few thousand, which will not cover the debt. Seok-hoon will be arrested and put in jail if he returns to Seoul. He wants to save the money but Hong-joo wants to spend it on luxury, which starts this progression of events in the hotel. She also goes into a terrible state about her father losing his house because they have used it for collateral. She doesn't talk to her husband about anything and decides the best thing is to kill herself, which I don't know if in Korea you can collect on a suicide. Se Young saves her life. Then because she tried to kill herself, Seok-hoon feels stressed to find a solution to their financial ruin, keep her father's house and stay out of jail so he can support his wife. For a few days of doubt, when he tells Hong-joo nothing happened and that he worked, she should know him well enough to believe him. But she rebukes him. No thank you for even saving her father's house. Numerous times he sends her signs that he is very serious about saving their marriage, but she rejects every offering and wants him to suffer more. I don't like her very much. I think she is very unappreciative about what her husband had to do to save them from ruin and her family from ruin. I think she drives him to Se Young with her revengeful actions and even the offering of the love of Kang Min-Woo becomes a means to revenge and not happiness with Roy who she claims to care for. I see several messages here, but I wonder if one of them is about hating and revenge to the point where a person who could find happiness again instead leads her life to one that ends in misery. I guess we will find out eventually what is in store.

Even though he was wrong for staying, nothing happen. If joo really trusted and loved seok-hoon, she wouldve known he wouldnt do that and if he did, then she has every right for a divorce. After watching episode 11 I dont care for joo and woo anymore. Theyre objective is to destroy hoon and young. At first I felt for joo but she didnt try at all to trust in hoon. Even though things seemed wrong he was really trying his best. Now she's going marry woo for revenge. I hope young and hoon have the relationship that joo didn't try to preserve. Her pride and ego ruined her and it will be her downfall with woo.

analyst Aug 17 2014 12:01 pm YSY is an honest, direct, and a stong person and deep down caring and do the rigt thing person. It's just that she has never experienced love before until she met CSH. I love the two characters and wish only happy ending for them. CSH fell for his nurse (NHJ), a common "nightingale effect" where a patient thinks he loves the person that takes care of them when he was in the hospital and met NHJ. Once be met YSY, however, he truly fell in love with her even if he was married and tried to do the right thing by staying with his wife and rejecting YSY. His wife is the one that really wanted the divorce which they did. Personally, I think YSY and CSH fell in love when they fist met 10 years ago when CSH (who was then single) first interviewed with YSY's company. CSH didn't get the job because YSY thought be was too much of an idealist and gave up without trying further to get the job which YSY mentioned in episode 2. He took her (temptation) offer at the beginning because of his hidden feelings even then. Anyway, I could go on and on and analyze their feelings but will stop for now. Episode 10 was great and i will continue watching this drama. By the way, I believe YSY is more beautiful inside and out than NHJ could ever be.

I like the way that the writers have made Se Young somewhat vulnerable and likable even in her basest attempts to harpoon someone else's territory. I can see the somewhat redemptive nature of her character by allowing her to come face to face with her strongest desires even when they are not righteous, which really does draw me to her character. I do have to admit that I'm growing weary with Hong Joo's character. She cries way too much and is a bit over dramatic. I think her best role for me was a more silent role in a historical drama where she played a displaced Queen. My final comment is about that song sung by Lena Park that get's played throughout the drama. I'm sure that she has voice quality but for some reason that song is REALLY annoying. I end up muting the volume when it comes on. I hope that don't play it throughout the whole drama!

I do understand that that hong-joo was really hurt that he stayed with her for 3 days. But seriously?? Given the circumstances that he almost went to jail and she almost killed herself, him staying was the right thing to do. As a wife, she should be mad if the had sexual interaction but he didnt. Though she didnt know at the time, he had every reason to do that. He was lookong out for their future. But now, she doubts him and cant trust him anymore which is starting to push him away. Shes mad that he likes se-young? Shes beautiful, rich, and they work in the same field. How can he not grow some feelings for her. But as a married man, hes doing his best to resist temptation and staying faithful. So I applaud him. Now shes going of befriending a rich playboy and pretty much play mom for his son. Right now, shes the one with the power to fix everything and shes not. So I dont even care anymore if seok-hoon and se-young hook up. If you're goimg to get hurt over miss understanding that your tryimg to fix but she wobt let you, might as well give her a reason to really be mad.

mail3227 Jul 29 2014 9:57 pm Park Ha Sun has a very innocent/lovely face. I love it when her face graces the screen, so lovely to look at, even she's just in her simple/plain make-up and attire. She has great chemistry with both the male stars, who are both gorgeous, as well Kwon Sang Woo has not aged at all. Lee Jung Jin is very charismatic. Actingwise, the two male leads definitely stole the drama.

lynn Jul 27 2014 9:38 pm Temptation, new 2014 k drama, has earned it's way to my weekly list. And loo just have to rant about my views so far. I really don't understand why general comments and fans are hating on the wife. Ok, granted she did attempt suicide but in her defense it was the best solution she could think of in a moment of weakness. But the husband agrees to spend four days with an almost stranger for money. True nothing happened but he did not know what was going to be requested of him before agreeing to the "contact" and tells his wife of the proposal and send get home alone. Ok now people are saying that she is just as bad for taking the job to babysit the little boy but she does it out of care for the child and never hides it. Yes she may have also taken it to put space between her and get husband but granted the pain of losing all of her trust in him I would consider it slightly normal. However the husband is being caught up in random meetings with the other woman and instead of leaving he engages in conversation. And continues to lie to his wife and also its taking the other womens feelings into consideration to the point of apologizing, warning, and also bailing out on his wife to save her business deal. So maybe it is just me or maybe if the guy playing the husband was not the same one from stairway to heaven then his characters support for this role would be different.

Didn't hear it in episodes 3 or 4. I do love the forever beautiful Choi Ji Woo. She's is truely fabulous and a great actress!

You can't wait to watch the next one because of the suspense it brings each time one episode ends. The 4 main team players of this drama even the the supporting roles of others are just superb. As was the case with her co-star Park Sun-young in Ji-woo's decade old drama 'Truth' (aka 'Honesty') it is absolutely scary for a woman of such uncommon beauty to be so devious and evil. A siren irresistible to the average man. But what's with the lackluster ratings, people of Korea? Are you all on dope, or just caught up watching pop stars and "reality" television? Snap out of it, already!

LOL i've watched two episodes and i get a feel that this drama is going to be intriguous soon (or i hope so, typical of ahjumma dramas) bcs the female lead isn't simply a kind one. i'm looking forward to the next episode

How can you like the leading man when he abandons his wife for billions of won. But it seems with the current shows they have in korea, they love villains before heroes, the crueler the antagonist the more Koreans will watch the show. Koreans do love their kdrama bad boys fantasies. But in the real world the guy probably gets his dick "bobbit'in the first episode by his wife.
